Back to regular business-- and big spending.

Good Day! I must take this opportunity to apologize for bad mouthing my wife and her under achievements/ personality flaws and poor house keeping. Every woman is different, and having been in many relationships in my life -- taught me that fact. The same holds true for men and their evil ways/ ignorance/ bad macho attitude. Nobody is perfect--but we can't use that as an excuse for continually dropping the ball, IMHO. My wife gets SSDI, but a meager amount. It goes according to how much money you earned in your prior life time. I get much more because I have worked ALL MY LIFE. Simple, but I sure didn't write the laws. The double standard is that illegal aliens have managed [with the help of people like Obama and Pelosi] to get a bigger piece of the pie than our own LEGAL Americans, IMHO.

In our case, both of us are disabled to the point where it's hard to do the normal things like cleaning the house, walking any distance, taking care of the garden, chores, but we still do it. I honestly am very embarrassed to say that I depend on my wife to tie my shoe laces and a few other things for me and I would be up a creek if she were not here with me. One hand washes the other and most couples I know help each other. I spoil her with money and gifts-- but all I want from her is respect, love and kindness. Medication helps a little to take the edge off the pain, but then we don't want to be "space cadets" and loopy..lol. We are thankful that we have good Insurance from Chrysler and the VA [but who knows what will come down the pike]. Our Gov't has traditionally screwed the Vet's and given the free lunches to the illegal aliens and some cheating welfare recipients. I earned what I have-- I didn't STEAL it! How many folks would work on a moving assembly line for over 30 years, and then retired with a bad back and carpal tunnel in the arms and wrists, hypertension and damaged lungs from the indoor pollution from the fine mists of oils and coolants squirting our of the giant machines? And you can bet your boots that when the Company has hard times from Mismanagement, they insist on cutting our benefits no matter what the contract says!! They recently did that to us retirees last year! Still, I feel very blessed and fortunate and praise the Lord. My mom pays hundreds of dollars every month on meds, and calls me 'lucky.' Not! -- illegal aliens sucking up OUR resources are the "lucky" ones. I heard that in places like the Bahamas--there is no welfare!

So, back to 'normal' life and back to reality today after Turkey Day. And if all possible, I want to stay home and off the streets as all the crazed shoppers spend money with their plastic cards.. Woo Hoo! See what I mean, below:
*************************

Nassau County police said the 34-year-old worker was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead at about 6 a.m., an hour after the store opened. The cause of death was not immediately known.
A police statement said shortly after 5 a.m., a throng of shoppers "physically broke down the doors, knocking (the worker) to the ground." Police also said a 28-year-old pregnant woman was taken to a hospital for observation and three other shoppers suffered minor injuries and were also taken to hospitals.
The dead worker's name was not released.
"Local authorities are looking into the situation," said Wal-Mart representative Dan Fogleman. But he said it would be "inappropriate for me to share any additional information" until authorities investigate further. Shoppers around the country lined up early outside stores in the annual bargain hunting ritual known as Black Friday. Many stores open early and stay open late. The Valley Stream Wal-Mart usually opens at 9 a.m.
***************************
I have bought some nice things for my wife, but told her that we REALLY have everything we need and want right now. I asked her repeatedly NOT to buy me anything. We are jubilant and thankful that God sent His only begotten Son to earth, but we personally don't need or want to make a big 'to-do' about the commercial Christmas thingy, please. Anyway you cut it, MOST of Americans support abortion, the Gay agenda and other extreme Left things-- or they would NOT have elected Obama. Go figure -- how can Americans say they love and celebrate Christ's birth-- and still support and vote for people and bad laws that offend God Almighty?? Hello! God is not one to be mocked! Now we shall all reap the whirl winds and I am just waiting for the other shoe to drop...Ha!

Being a Baptist [but I confess that I don't agree with EVERYTHING they teach and enforce...], I was interested in reading another Blogger's documented claim about a Texas town having forced religious views and rules in a PUBLIC school a few years ago, and thugs actually burning his house because he voiced his opinion!
I feel bad about this tragedy and will post more about it latter. Remember, "absolute power corrupts- absolutely." No one should be above the Law, yet we all know that there exits a double standard in America.

that was sad about the troubles at Wal-Mart; we/hubby/me aren't buying gifts for each other this Christmas but giving money to World Vision for goats/chickens/wells. My pastor preached right before the election that there are only 30% Evangelical Christians in the United States; he said don't be surprised on how nonbelievers vote; there are alot of nonbelievers in our country; remember that. I agree with you; the Lord will not be mocked; at the same time I will continue to pray for our new leader and for our country

Dear Tom,
Greetings and I hope your holiday was good!
I am so sorry that someone was injured at WalMart and that is very sad that people do not take the time to wait for each other patiently at sales.
I found an old comment in which you asked what would be another way to emphasize something important o you...
I think you can just say that it is important, it makes a lot of difference to you or it astounds you; like that....
hugs,
natalie

dear Tom,
I think you say a lot when you say that you are proud to earn your money yourself.
