More About Combat Veterans and PTSD.

Here is another fine message from 'Honolulu Dick' - [Richard Roller], my close brother-in-arms, Vietnam Combat Veteran, from Hawaii.

Aloha DoorGunner,

About women and your plea for a suggestion.

Read the following on another VN Combat Vet's blog and thought you may enjoy it
as much as I did. Here goes:

Whatever you give a woman, she's going to multiply.
If you give her a house, she'll give you a home.
If you give her groceries, she'll give you a meal.
If you give her a loving smile, she'll give you her heart.
She multiplies and enlarges whatever is given her.
So --- If you give her any Crap, you will receive more SHIT than any one man can
handle.

Somehow, just somehow, it always worked out that way for me. Seems as though I
never learned the easy way. Always had to undergo a beating of some sort to
learn that I wasn't always the one in the right.

Tonight, C-SPAN reran a taped panel held on Veterans Day. The 4-panel members
were Iwo Jima survivors. Two told stories of the flag raising, while the other
two told stories of being foxhole grunts and holding off bayonet charges. Each
of them summed-up their stories by saying that not a single day ever went by
without them reliving their combat experiences. Even though two of them can no
longer stand at a podium and delivered their stories from their wheel chairs,
the vividness and detail of their recall was like a well rehearsed movie
production. The brutality of close combat is burned into your memory forever.
The point here is that your thought about your Vietnam experiences are very much
the same as those of Combat Vets of other wars as well. You are not alone my
brother. Keep the Faith, stay locked and loaded, and press onward.

Its about time for your Christian Soldier challenge coin to arrive at your LP.

Take good care ----------------------

Aloha.

Man, is my back hurting today, Sunday morning! My wife tried hard
to
massage and work out the knots and little 'bundles of flesh'
from injuries
and tension, and I will also have her rub some special
salve to make me smell
like a high school locker room [or Ben-Gay]...lol.
Like the old John Denver Song, "Sometimes a diamond --
sometimes a stone."

Video on a new automatic shotgun... Wow !
