Tom's Journal.

tschuckman@aol.com

I am glad that smart, well studied, balanced men put out this kind of TRUTH in the following article, so we won't run a muck like the 'world' does, chasing after every goofy straw as they grasp.
I was just think that, 'wouldn't it be the height of real STUPIDITY only to learn the truth of things right AFTER the 'anointed Saints' are up on their way to meet the Lord ! My worst fear is getting 'left behind' and there are some very personal reasons why I have nightmares and 'day-mares' to this day concerning an event that went down while in Vietnam, 35 years ago. That will have to remain my own secret because it was too embarrassing.... sorry. It has to do with getting left behind. Maybe that is why I am still 'wrapped too tight' and afraid to let my guard down. So when I am in my firm but soft, quality cozy bed-- I really NEED TO let all cares go after I ask God for a safe, restful sleep and drift off into la-la land. I have to have some sanctuary and safe place to rest. Sharon has also RLS - restless leg syndrome, so you can figure out that challenge for me too maybe. In Vietnam, I could rely on the guys pulling guard duty because of our strict military 'code' of honor and duty to "guard those who sleep at night." And the punishment for falling asleep while on guard [during a declared War] was DEATH according to UCMJ! I stayed awake.

Just as race horses getting nervous at the gate-- so too are many people who don't completely understand the Scriptures [the Bible], but only bits and pieces.
We still don't and won't know the exact day of His coming, and for good reason. If we did know that day, we could or would get into all sorts of mischief and immorality-- and then repent right before the 'Master comes home.' But the way it is, we should live EVERY day as if it were our last. God knows us humans so well... LOL
, just like we older, mature adults know what our kids are up to. Ha! We have BEEN there already! We know how children think and what schemes and tricks they will try to pull. I know my dog pretty well too, by now. I trust him to a certain degree even though we think we trained him well. Put a prime beef steak in front of a dog-- and he will eat it! The more we read the 'Blue book of Life' -- the Bible, the more we will know and understand ourselves and others. Sometimes you see an outsider, a 'worldly boy' sniffing around a Christian church lady/ girl, and she thinks that he is OK and sincere and loves her -- only to find out [Duh!] that the only thing he really wants is her virginity and his own pleasure. Well... the elders can see this a mile away in a heart beat. When the apostle Paul says, "Marry only in the Lord" [that means only another real, biblical Christian] , he is writing something that is 'Spirit-inspired' and something you can count on. But even a so-called Christian prospect doesn't guarantee a perfect marriage, but it gives you some modicum of security. And then, maybe God doesn't want you to marry in these last days with all the difficulty.

Now the doctors say that Sharon might come home on Friday.... but she still looked pretty wobbly when I saw her again today, and brought her more fresh oranges. i forgot to give her the strawberries I had in the Ram truck, but I can eat them, along with the pears and bananas. I can't let them waste, you know...
I may not be emailing every blog post of mine in the future, but you can become a 'follower' by clicking the Link.
Take care.

It appears the EDL has been born due to Britains immigration policies and the take over by Islam throughout the country including Sharia Law.
well worth a look at if you care about what is happening both in UK and Australia.

By Terry James. My email lit up with the European Union's appointment of the first official EU president. It's as if the man given the job came on the scene with "666" stamped upon his forehead. One such email serves as a particularly interesting example of the declarations that Antichrist has arrived. Here are some excerpts: ...As you are more than likely aware, the Antichrist has arisen from a

Nice Week End.

|One of my fav. songs: The Doobie Brothers: What A Fool Believes: 1979

My fault again-- over slept and missed the Church Bible Study this morning, but beat myself to make the following Worship service at Union Grove Baptist church which is about one mile from my humble hovel in the boon docks of S.E. WI. After asking me they announced that my wife was sick and prayed for her-- and that was nice. I enjoy the sermons, singing, worship and fellowship there, and they treat me with respect-- many people my age. I felt like someone beat me up with a crow bar this morning, lol, but I figured that getting dressed was half the effort, and once I got warmed up and the meds kicked in, things would be tolerable-- and I sure needed to be with others of like Faith-- and by that I mean true, biblical Christians, and be part of something bigger than myself.

Well, then after ward I went straight to see my wife again about noon and told her the latest news, and she shared her news with me. Someone must have 'corrected' that nasty RN, Kim, and she sat down with Sharon to chat and made nice. Sharon's kids and grand kids came earlier this morning to see her before they went back to Ohio, and Sharon was very happy and appreciative that they made the 8 1/2 hour drive to see us. Sharon is groggy and tired all the time and I figure it's because of the medicine the staff gives her all the time. Seems like the staff of doctors and nurses check in on her every 15 minutes. I ate one of the carrots I bought her to cure my empty stomach, and I thought.... this tastes good and I should be eating these more often! Rabbit food, right? But I'd rather eat the rabbit!

Well, no matter what happens to Sharon-- how much longer she stays in the hospital, I will be very busy for the rest of the month, especially if I have to really serve on Jury Duty, as summoned. I am so glad that gasoline is still relatively cheap. Things are starting to 'slip my mind' even though I try to write things down, notes, and on calendar. I enjoy my peace and harmony-- time to myself-- time to think and figure things out-- ponder on stuff and study the bible and related stuff more often.... now that I am home alone. But I did rely on my wife to remind me of appointments, and important things to do. Still, I am surprised at how fast I reverted to my old, survival, independent "singleness" and caring for myself. One thing for certain, I cannot be as fat as I am if I have to take care of myself. I always seem to lose weight and eat less, live more simple when I am alone. I also save tons of money too....Ha! I don't mess up the house much because I know that I have to clean it, besides my VA cleaning lady, but I am really a tidy, clean person, and I like organization and hate to stumble on things in my path. And Hey! I caught the darn dog in MY BED today and ran his ass off and out! Sometimes he thinks he is a human being and gets to big for his britches.

My Dad was right about one thing... don't even bother talking, advising younger people in their 20's, etc. They always seem to know better and mostly have to learn the hard way. AS I explained to Sharon's kids, in my old Finance/ Securities business, people ae not ready to learn about taking a chance in investments and learning a new skill/ occupation-- because they have not been SCREWED BY SOCIETY/ REALITY YET ! Of course right now in 2009, we are much closer to the Lord's return and the advent of super hard economic times--- and 'you ain't seen nothin' yet !'
But I am not going to preach tonight. I just hope all my friends and readers have a good night's sleep. BTW, the price of Garlic is going up in China and prob. else where, as it is used much to fight infections, colds, flu, etc. I use herbs every day of my life, and that may be the smartest way to fight sickness and disease. Check out Colloidal Silver too, but that is very expensive. Stock up NOW!

Saturday's Visit with Sharon.

Tom's Journal.
http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/
tschuckman@aol.com

I slept later this morning but had to let the Rotty out at 0300. He wakes me up by putting his ice cold wet nose on my arm that is hanging out- off the side of the bed--- and it works! I was happy to fill up my gs tank for $2.53/ gal., then bought a 40 pound bag of dog food for $40. Then to the store to shop for stuff that Sharon wanted; I brought her fresh Navel oranges and a big bag of carrots on purpose to make me look a "hero" with the hospital staff [with heart healhty food... LOL] , and even a cardiac doctor stopped by and I gave him a carrot, and my personalize pen, [Dr. Kevin Fullin, MD], and he explained some medical stuff to us, was kind and cordial, and he enjoyed my humor. But prior to that after I just got to the St. Catherine's Hosp. on Highway 50 just West of Kenosha, WI., a RN, Kim B., was in a scratchy, nasty, arrogant mood, and didn't care for my jokes and observations. She took it out on my poor wife by slapping the TV remote against her leg which is still very sore, swelled and sensitive before she walked away in a huff. Hey! There is always some malcontent butt head in the bunch of staff, and I told a few people about her actions today. You CANNOT let people get away with that kind of abuse! Report it quickly, and then the next time she pulls that same hissy fit with someone else, her superiors will 'lean on her.' Don't you think that the rest of us have had to conduct our business properly and respectfully all our working lives? --- and I'm sure that you all know exactly what I am talking about. With all the money $$ we pay these 'medical people' [thru our insurance premiums [or that were bargained with the Company thru the Union] we ought to demand proper, respectful treatment. That's my personal view. And that is what a "Patient Advocate" is for-- someone who will look out for your best interests if and whn you are incapacitated. I AM my spouse's ADVOCATE and Guardian, and she is mine. And I have been around the block a few times, and will NOT TAKE VERBAL AND PHYSICAL ABUSE! And from now on, I will have to be a butt head-- by telling my wife, 'NO MORE SALT AND JUNK FOODS!' I confess that I have been 'enabling her' by buying what "she likes", potato chips, salty stuff galore. So I guess that [even though I hardly touch the salt shaker [ I prefer hot peppers and spice/ herbs. lemon juice, etc], I will now have to dramatically change the way I eat too, and not eat bad stuff in front of Sharon, be a hypocrite or set a poor example. I am just too fat and disabled! It's going to be hard. Your prayer will help with that too, please.

Sharon says the food is not that bad at St. Cat's and most of the other staff take care of her well. Sharon has also 'witnessed' to a few doctors, nurses and staff that came to check on her constantly, having her big Bible out, and she likes to tell her story about reading the book of Joshua, and how it helped her get closer to the Lord. I am PROUD of her skill and the depth of her biblical knowledge that she eagerly shares with all who would listen !! I started teaching Sharon ever since the first day I met her as she drove all the way from Ohio to meet me about 6 years ago. I told Sharon today [again] that 'no one ever said that being a biblical Christian would be easy.' Just like danger and combat is inherent to a soldier-- we Christian soldiers must be willing and ready to give up our lives for Christ, and NOT BE ASHAMED of Jesus, no matter what comes down the pike. Matthew 10:33, "But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven." -- Jesus' own words. But you say, 'how will we know what to say?' READ/ STUDY THE BIBLE EVERY DAY! How can we expect to be Raptured up to heaven when we don't even know the Lord or anything about Him or what He said and taught?? I keep saying to people that I surely don't know everything-- but the Scriptures are mostly written on a 4-5th grade level, and it's just like any other book or endeavor -- 'you get out of it as much as what you put into it.' I would hate to stand before the Lord and say that I didn't/ could not find the time to read His Word, because I was too busy watching the stupid TV or too much computer/ InterNet, etc. God speaks and teaches us when we read the Bible, but like I posted shortly, the Holy Spirit is what 'enables' us to understand what the scriptures are saying. How do you get the Holy Spirit? Just go to God and ASK FOR IT [HIM].

Just like that verse I just posted ... I knew it was in Matthew, around the chapter 7 [I guessed] but I had to hunt for it and found it in Matt. 10:33 ! Oh no! I had to do a little work so I could get it right and accurate! but I knew approximately from prior reading a hundred years ago... LOL. The brain is like a muscle-- the more you 'exercise' it, the more you will retain vital information. So, as I have exhausted myself before-- it boils down to WHAT ARE YOUR HIGHEST, PRIME PRIORITIES? HELLO...

When ever I get to visit my wife, thee are tons of people checking in and out, hovering, knocking at her door, interrupting, giving her medications, checking her vitals... but that is their job-- that's good. When I first got there today about 1PM, she was very groggy and had trouble breathing-- so I just grabbed anyone in the area and told them the problem and puff more staff converged in her room quickly. MOST of them are good, careful workers who CARE about the patient. And go figure: the amount of money they get, the super high cash flow and money paid for by my Chrysler Insurance would bankrupt me if I had to pay for it! We are very 'blessed' in that area [for now], and I prefer to use my VA services [right now], but I expect things to get worse and more mixed up with red tape and 'obama rationing' and BS... down the road. REMEMBER: what ever the Gov't touches-- it turns into a dung heap! Ha! Beware. I love your many comments-- but know that most of you are very busy. Thanks for taking the time to visit and comment!

I wish I could get out of my up coming Jury Duty in December, as it will be very hard to walk any steps, etc. But you know... if I thought the 'perp' was guilty beyound a shaodow of a doubt, I would say, "Hang the Bum !" LOL.

Time for bed. Have a great week end!

I can't even talk the way these people talk:

Why you ain't,?
Where you is,?
What he drive,?
Where he stay,?
Where he work,?
Who you be...?

And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk.
And then I heard the father talk.

Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth
In fact you will never get any kind of job making a decent living.

People marched and were hit in the face with rocks to get an Education, and now we've got these knuckleheads walking around.

The lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal.

These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids.

$500 sneakers for what??

And they won't spend $200 for Hooked on Phonics.

I am talking about these people who cry when their son is standing there in an orange suit.

Where were you when he was 2

Where were you when he was 12?

Where were you when he was 18 and how come you didn't know that he had a pistol?

And where is the father? Or who is his father?

People putting their clothes on backward:?
Isn't that a sign of something gone wrong?

People with their hats on backward, pants down around the crack, isn't that a sign of something???

Isn't it a sign of something when she has her dress all the way up and got all type of needles [piercing] going through her body?

What part of Africa did this come from?

We are not Africans. Those people are not Africans; they don't know a thing about Africa.

I say this all of the time. It would be like white people saying they are European-American. That is totally stupid.

I was born here, and so were my parents and grand parents and, very likely my great grandparents. I don't have any connection to Africa, no more than white Americans have to Germany, Scotland, England, Ireland, or the Netherlands?. The same applies to 99 percent of all the black Americans as regards to Africa.

So stop, already! ! !

With names like Shaniqua, Taliqua and Mohammed and all of that crap .....

and all of them are in jail.

Brown or black versus the Board of Education is no longer the white person's problem.

We have got to take the neighborhood back.

People used to be ashamed. Today a woman has eight children with eight different 'husbands' -- or men or whatever you call them now.

We have millionaire football players who cannot read.

We have million-dollar basketball players who can't write two paragraphs. We, as black folks have to do a better job.

Someone working at Wal-Mart with seven kids, you are hurting us.

We have to start holding each other to a higher standard.

We cannot blame the white people any longer.'

Hi Folks and Friends!
Things are looking a bit brighter today, even in our frigid 'tundra' in the Great Northern Woods- WI. Sharon feels better, and I will visit and take another plate of food to her in a few hours after her kids and grand kids come to our house to visit me and eat some prepared turkey food, etc. The lady doctor [Dr. Anna Silenvi -- and she is one of the GOOD doctors!!] who assisted in Sharon's traumatic open heart operation last March actually called me a few minutes ago and explained in detail where we are right now and what course of action we MUST take to help me wife have a near quality life from now on. A strict diet! It will be hard working with Sharon who is set in her ways of eating junk food and too much salt-- but I must be firm-- yet loving, or else she will wind up back in the hospital again, and soon! Believe it or not, that's hard on me too, and stresses me out big time.

I love the way some skilled, knowledgeable people break things down for me to understand, even as I consider myself well educated and well read. The following article/ conversation really helped me understand the term, "RAPTURE." I NEED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT, so I don't err in my posts and in my thinking. I enjoy reading and research, especially in my retired life when I can't walk so good because of bad knees, back and feet. The big trade off is that most of us don't reach maturity, wisdom and understanding until we get old.... and that's sad because we could have spared ourselves a lot of pain, goof ups and misery. Personally, I would have done things a lot different if I HAD KNOWN the things I do now. I would have married a godly, biblical, but sexy girl in the beginning... LOL ! but when I got back from the war in South East Asia, I was all wound up, hurting, and a bit crazy. The Army failed in not 'deprogramming' the combat troops that came home with PTSD, etc. But back in 1970 they didn't even have a name for that stuff. Just like right now our troops come back from intense combat in Iraq and Afganistan and need to 'chill out' and have ALL their needs attended to! IMHO, the VA is failing them, just as they failed we Vietnam Vets years ago. Politics and money...... A good Christian woman can persuade and help a man BIG TIME to run the right course in life, IMHO. God bless the gentle women who have endured and helped their combat weary Combat Veterans husbands !

Bad things happen to both the good and bad people [of course] but much can be prevented by making good decisions in life.

I hope you enjoy the short article as much as I have. It gives me a good incentive of walking the right path. There is a method to my madness. And from all that has gone down lately, I have MUCH to be thankful to God for! PTL.

Tom's Journal.

Just a short note, bragging a bit about the turkey and duck that I roasted this morning-- it fell off the bones and tasted great. I made a generous plate and took it to my dear wife, Sharon, and she ate it all-- but after that the staff bought her a small pizza for lunch! I just didn't get to make any side dishes like potatoes, etc, but I ate some cottage cheese to sooth my sore stomach. Since it is 32 degrees F. outside with a thin layer of snow, I will just put the remains on the enclosed back porch over night and eat some more tomorrow. Sharon especially loved the juicy duck that I brought her. I bought a 11 pound butterball turkey and read the instructions that came with it, just to make sure I did it right--- Sharon is a better cook and always used to prepare the food-- but I am glad that things turned out OK for us this year... under the less than optimal circumstances. Sharon showed me her legs and they swelling went down dramatically! She feels somewhat better, but her heart is weak. They seem to take care of her well at St. Catherine's Hospital near Kenosha, WI, about 20 miles from our house. She sleeps a lot and gets rid of the fluid build up mostly. Your prayer must have worked! Thank you!

My feet got too dry and cracked open so that my feet were especially sore and hurtful today, and I really didn't care for any company today. Just tried to clean, organize and cook today and visit Sharon.

Sharon found out that her heart ventricle was so very weak BEFORE the heart surgery last March, and it still is not up to the task, so the doc's may consider a Heart Pace Maker, down the road, perhaps sooner than latter. Of course I will support and help her as much as I can-- except that I am getting pretty disabled myself! Don't it always happen like that...? And people that knew me all though my life would tell you that I as a human dynamo, hard worker and power lifter until the last 6 years ago when I started going down hill from 2 near death injuries. I was darn lucky to have made it to the end of my 30 years to retire! But I was determined to do or die. Mom and Dad didn't raise a quitter. Still, I still feel cheated by Chrysler for demanding all my SSDI lump sum money $$$ back, and I don't trust that Company OR the Union farther than I can spit. Yes, I fully know that I am more blessed than most other people in the world right now. PTL.

I plan to go to bed early tonight. Tomorrow is another day which I intend to see Sharon again.

Tom

I was very surprised to read about my own small home town in the country side of Wisconsin have hungry poor people !! Wow! See article below >>>>

Remember Those Less Fortunate this Thanksgiving

A report released by the Department of Agriculture last week showed that nearly 50 million people, or one in four children, did not have enough food to eat last year. This is a staggering number, and the highest reported since the USDA started keeping records in 2005.

During a week when most of us will be fortunate enough to eat more than we could ever need, it seems hard to believe that just a few miles away or even next door, there will be those who are struggling to get enough. But that is unfortunately the case.

The Union Grove Food Bank reports that they are serving a need that is 30% greater than it was last year and many food banks are reporting shortages. This is most likely driven by the recession. As people continue to lose their jobs, more and more will need food assistance.

This is even more concerning considering the jobs numbers released last week show Wisconsin shed another 14,000 jobs since September and we have lost 166,000 in the last 12 months - the biggest year-to-year drop in 70 years of recorded data. There are currently 232,300 people looking for work in the state of Wisconsin.

In light of that fact, it's important that as we all ponder the things we have to be thankful for this weekend, we also remember those who are less fortunate. If you would like to donate time, money, or food to one of our area food banks, there are a few to choose from:

Love Inc. is located at 480 South Pine St in Burlington. Their phone number is 763-6226. To find out more information about Love Inc., you can also go to their website at www.love-inc.net.

The Union Grove Food Bank is located at 1015 State Street in Union Grove. Their phone number is 853-4144.

The Racine County Food Bank is located at 2000 DeKoven Ave., Unit #2. Their phone number is (262) 632-2307. They can be found on the web at www.racinecountyfoodbank.org.

I would like to wish you and your family a safe and enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday.

Enjoy the Last Weekend of Gun Deer Season

I would like to wish all Wisconsin hunters a safe and productive final weekend if you decide to head out to the woods. While the news of lower numbers in opening weekend might be discouraging, the woods will still be full of thousands of Wisconsin hunters carrying on the hunting tradition like the generations before them.

To ensure the tradition continues, I voted to create the hunting mentorship program this session to allow 10 and 11 year olds to hunt with an adult mentor. The Department of Natural Resources reports that since the bill was passed, a total of 10,016 mentored hunting licenses have been sold. This is great news considering there has been a concern that the number of hunters may decrease in the future. Experts claim that by getting kids involved early, it makes it more likely they will continue hunting for a lifetime.

Maintaining a healthy deer herd in Wisconsin rests on the shoulders of Wisconsin's hunters. It's vital that we make sure that the next generations take an interest in carrying out the tradition.

Deer hunting in Wisconsin is also an important part of tourism. Seven hundred thousand people visit Wisconsin every year to hunt. On average, each of them spends $1,868 each season for equipment, lodging, and food. That's a huge contribution that we can't afford to lose.

Finally, if you are looking for another way to help those less fortunate, many of Wisconsin's food pantries will take any venison you do not plan to keep. The Venison Donation Program has donated nearly 70,000 to food pantries all over Wisconsin. If you are interested in participating in this program, you can donate any legally harvested deer taken outside the Chronic Wasting Disease Zone by dropping it off at a participating processor by January 4, 2010.

Simply field dress the deer and register it at a Wisconsin DNR registration station prior to donating the deer. Then contact one of the participating processors (click here for a list of processors) before dropping the deer off to verify the processor has space to accept your deer.

Most of all, be safe! Enjoy a great November weekend in the beautiful Wisconsin woods!

Happy Thanksgiving.

Tom's Journal.
http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/
tschuckman@aol.com

My wife was still in very bad shape this morning as I took her to see one of her many doctors in Kenosha, WI at 0900. Hard for her to just walk and breath with chest discomfort too. We all thought it best for her to stay there for a few days, 3-4, to try and get her back to "normal." Her kids and grand kids hope to be up here tomorrow to see/ visit her and also join me for Thanksgiving dinner. I discovered a half flat tire from a nail on my Ram truck while at the hospital and had it fixed shortly after, then went shopping for birds. I have a favorite, trusted tire dealer who aways takes care of me. Hey, when it rains -- it pours, but I am NOT crying in my beer. I am very thankful for everything I have. I also bought a Tom Turkey and a Duck that I will roast tomorrow morning, and then make another trip to see my wife and bring her some stuff she wanted.

Pray and gives thanks for everything you've got, dear friends! I remember spending a few holidays over seas in RVN and learned to deal with it. Remember that MANY people have already fell through the cracks, got laid off, lost their jobs and houses recently and still, by the world's standards, we are still a rich nation... yet. My grandfather who came over to America on a boat by himself at age 13, used to say, "If you have a roof and enough to eat--that's enough." He and his brothers became well to do from hard work and fragility, and I learned from their advice and wisdom. My grandma came from Europe too and was the finest cook I ever knew-- German- Hungarian. As a matter of fact, thankfulness is a theology in microcosm - a key to understanding what we really believe about God, ourselves, and the world we experience.A haunting question is this: How do atheists observe Thanksgiving? Is the Bubble ready to Burst?

The selfish, hoarding side of me didn't want to post this material/ info. And this is another time when I MIGHT feel smug about 'being right' about something again. Another reality is that MOST people won't believe this anyway and just dismiss it as a "Chicken Little" rant or a wild dream of Old Soldier Tom... LOL. I once took a 'preparation test' of what to have in a real natural disaster/ emergency. But at the end, if we were caught flat footed-- at least having a few important tools redeemed us, like a good flashlight with extra charged batteries. Now days with the majority of people spending and charging everything like there is no tomorrow will sink most of our population.... just as the ghetto people in New Orleans depended on the Gov't to bail them out during Katrina... HA! Let me give you all a tiny bit of advice: 'Don't bet the next months rent on the GOV'T to save your sorry behinds!' And, of course, if you don't have a real relationship with the God of the Bible-- all of the above is worthless, null and void.

Yes, it's true! The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the organization that "insures" your bank deposits, is officially broke. It ran out of money in early October due to the large number of banks that are continuing to fail.1 This news came in spite of the fact that the FDIC had raised its rates to member banks earlier in the year in an attempt to shore up its dwindling reserves.

When the financial crisis began in September of last year, the FDIC reported that 117 banks were in trouble. Since then approximately 80 percent of the banking companies on that list have gone under. To make matters worse, accordingto the FDIC the current number of troubled banks has risen to over 400. 2 Let's think positive and say that only 50 percent of these institutions will fail during the next year; that could mean the closing of another 200 banks – twice as many as in the last 12 months. (Seven banks failed in just one day on October 23rd.)3

The FDIC has a special arrangement to borrow up to $20 billion of additional funds from the US Treasury in an emergency, but that will only get the agency through a few more months. What happens when that fund dries up?

At some point the American people will realize how dire the circumstances are and, having lost confidence in the system, will seek to withdraw their money before their banks go under as well. If you believe such a scenario is unlikely, consider the fact that the FDIC recently announced it expected to be "in the red" through 2012.4

This situation is compounded by the scores of jobless Americans who are depleting their bank accounts in order to survive. Although the government reports the unemployment rate to be at 9.8 percent, the real unemployment rate is closer to 17 percent. Millions of Americans have stopped looking for jobs or have taken on part-time positions and therefore no longer appear in the government's statistics. This drain on wealth is putting an increasing number of banks at risk.

The US Government is also being affected. As a result of the dramatic rise in unemployment, Uncle Sam is taking in less and less tax revenue. The government's tax base is faltering not only because of fewer jobs and a slumping GDP, but also dueto the colossal amount of this year's tax write-offs resulting from last year's business and investment losses. Economist John Williams, who publishes the website Shadow Government Statistics, recently reported that the federal budget deficit for 2008 was $5.1 trillion based on a GAAP accounting basis. And, calculationsfrom the 2008 Financial Report of the US Government showed that the negative net worth of the federal government had increased to $59.3 trillion, with total federal obligations now totaling $65.5 trillion (based on GAAP).5 This figure is expected to climb to more than $70 trillion by the end of this year.

Where is this Leading?

It's really quite simple: We are broke as a nation! Were it not for the escalating amount of money the US Treasury is printing and the funds that we are continuing to borrow from foreign sources, our economy would have already come to a grinding halt. Many people who can see the handwriting on the wall are wondering how much longer we have, what will happen next, and what they should do to prepare.

Although I have my opinions, I have been hesitant to share them – especially when it comes to a timetable for future events. This is because of my belief that nothing happens unless God allows it. Global planners may do everything possible to create financial chaos in order to move the US into a new world monetary system, but if God chooses to intervene, it will not happen. Having prefaced my opinions with this statement, I will share with you the following thoughts.

I believe there is a growing possibility that a more serious financial collapse could occur between now and the end of 2010. I also believe that Barack Obama is "the anointed one" of the international elite and has been designated to take the United States into the new world order. As long as he is making unhindered progress toward their goals, they probably will continue to pump a measure of money into the US economy to create a "softer landing." However, if resistance to Obama increases to the point where he is no longer able to effectively push forward their (and his) agenda for world government, they could pull the financial plug and throw America into a crisis that makes our current situation seem benign. Globalization efforts by the international elite could soon be accelerated through a designed crisis if they fear Obama might lose his majority in the House and Senate in next year's election.

Most of the pieces are in place and our economic sovereignty has, for all practical purposes, already been handed over to international interests. This took place, unbeknownstto the American public, through agreements made at the G-20 summit in London (last April) and was finalized at the summit in Pittsburgh (this September). As a result, a group known as the Financial Stability Board – composed of the top central bankers of the world – is now running the show.

From now on the FSB will be making the most important financial decisions impacting the United States and the rest of the world. Six of the twelve national members on this board are from European countries. The United States, with a GDP three times that of the next largest G-20 member (Japan), will have only one vote.6

Europe's top financiers are making a strong case against the US dollar. Joining them are the Arabs, Brazilians, Russians, Japanese, and Chinese. On September 6, Cheng Siwei, a top member of China's Communist hierarchy and the former vice-chairman of the Standing Committee stated,

If they [the US Treasury] keep printing money to buy bonds it will lead to inflation, and after a year or two the dollar will fall hard. Most of our foreignreserves are in US bonds and this is very difficult to change, so we will diversify incremental reserves into euros, yen, and other currencies.
Mr. Cheng went on to say,
"Gold is definitely an alternative, but when we buy, the price goes up. We have to do it carefully so as not to stimulate the markets."7
China bears close watching, as it is the world's largest holder of US and other foreign bond reserves – valued at more than $2 trillion.8 If it ceases to buy US bonds, or if it were to transfer a substantial amount of its reserves held in US bonds into gold and other more stable currencies, it would push the price of gold and these other currencies significantly higher while driving the dollar down.

On a related front, Gulf Arabs are planning – along with China, Russia, Japan and France – to stop using the US dollar for oil trading. On October 6, The Independent reported that leaders of these countries are moving instead to a basket of currencies including the Japanese yen and Chinese yuan, the euro, gold and a new, unified currency planned for nations in the Gulf Co-operation Council, including Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Qatar.

According to The Independent,
Secret meetings have already been held by finance ministers and central bank governors in Russia, China, Japan and Brazil to work on the scheme, which will mean that oil will no longer be priced in dollars. The plans, confirmed to The Independent by both Gulf Arab and Chinese banking sources in Hong Kong, may help to explain the sudden rise in gold prices…The transitional currency in the move away from dollars, according to Chinese banking sources, may well be gold. An indication of the huge amounts involved can be gainedfrom the wealth of Abu Dhabi, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Qatar who together hold an estimated $2.1 trillion in dollar reserves.
The report continued:
The Chinese believe…that the Americans persuaded Britain to stay out of the euro in order to prevent an earlier move away from the dollar. But Chinese banking sources say their discussions have gone too far to be blocked now. "The Russians will eventually bring in the ruble to the basket of currencies," a prominent Hong Kong broker told The Independent. "The Brits are stuck in the middle and will come into the euro. They have no choice because they won't be able to use the US dollar."

"…These plans will change the face of international financial transactions," one Chinese banker said. "America and Britain must be very worried. You will know how worried by the thunder of denials this news will generate."9
Transition Underway

Even though the stated deadline for the completion of this currency transition isn't until 2018, the dominos have already begun to fall. Iran, for example, announced in late September that it would henceforth be selling its oil in euros rather than dollars.10 The nations of the world have begun moving away from the dollar, and the Obama administration is doing little, if anything, to stand in the way of these developments.

Meanwhile, the 2009 Trade and Development Report issued by the UN Conference on Trade and Development in Geneva, presents a blueprint for getting nations on a new SDR (Special Drawing Rights) world system in the near future.11 If they succeed it would facilitate a rapid move away from the US dollar as the world's main reserve currency.

There are many complex developments and plans to sort out; the aforementioned represent just the tip of the iceberg, making it difficult to project exactly how events will unfold. But here is what we know for sure. The financial movers and shakers of the world want to replace the dollar with a new international currency. They will do whatever it takes to make this happen and are eager to do it sooner rather than later, while Barack Obama is at their beck and call.

What we do not know is exactly how long this transition will take, and whether the US will first be moved into a regional currency or if this step will be by-passed in favor of an immediate global currency. There are other questions, including: How much resistance will there be from the people of the United States and Britain, and their legislative bodies? Will there be a partial or complete collapse of our economy? Will other types of crises be precipitated (via terror, war, disease, etc.) to accommodate this change? And, will God in his mercy intervene to give us more time? These variables make it impossible to set dates with any degree of accuracy. However, it is important to get prepared now in case things fall into place quickly, which they could.

Every indication suggests that when the new currency is issued, it will involve a major revaluation. Rumor has it that if the new currency were to be released soon (within the next year or so) we could expect a 6:1 devaluation. In other words, if you have $6,000 in a bank account, you would have only 1,000 units of the new currency when your bank reopens. If such an event were to occur, banks would shut down for a period of time, meaning you would not have access to your accounts and probably not your safety deposit box for several days to several weeks. In some cases involving currency revaluations in other countries, bank authorities have seized the contents of citizens' deposit boxes. For this reason I would consider moving valuables out of my box to another location – possibly a fireproof safe in my home.

What to Do

Although my professional background is in economics and international business, I have been reluctant to tell people what to do with their personal finances, as everyone's circumstances are different. Furthermore, I am not a professional financial planner or advisor. However, because so many people continue to call or write us on this matter, I will give an example of what I personally would do if I had significant money to invest.

First of all, I would get out of debt, while giving generously to biblically solid ministries who are speaking the truth. But if I had cash left to invest after doing so, here is what I would do with it. I would keep up to 5% of my money on hand in the form of cash. This would be for short-term purchases of groceries, gas, and day-to-day items in case a banking holiday is declared where banks would shut down for a few days or weeks before introducing a new currency. Eventually all old currency will be worthless unless it is traded in for the new, so I would not hoard large amounts of cash – only enough to get through a brief period of time. All of my other investments would be geared toward off-setting the affects of a currency revaluation that would likely occur if the dollar is replaced with a new regional or global currency.

I would plan to remain in such investments until the new currency is introduced and any revaluation of the "old" US dollar has taken place. After this transition has occurred, some or all of these investments could be traded back in for the new currency. By temporarily putting my dollars into items more likely to hold their value it would help off-set any losses that might occur with a revaluation. For example, if I would eventually be given only one new currency unit for every six dollars, then it would have been better if I had put my dollars into gold or other stable currencies and then sell them off in exchange for the new currency once it comes out.

This is how I would invest my remaining 95 percent. I would put 10% of my money into silver coins that could be used to barter for goods and services. Silver is perhaps the most practical of the precious metals because of its affordability and potential use as a bartering item. Historically, it has at times been valued at 10% of the price of gold. It is currently trading at less than $20 an ounce (2% the price of gold). I consider this to be a good price.

Another 25% of my portfolio would be put into a combination of gold and platinum, which should continue to trade in the $1,000 range for the near future – possibly going significantly higher if China and other countries continue to buy gold or if the crisis intensifies. I would also consider putting 25% into Swiss francs or a combination of other stable foreign currencies. All such purchases would depend to some degree on whether prices are favorable at the time I consider the purchase. Also, the percentages of what I invest in would be conditional on the amount of wealth I have. Someone with a million dollars, for example, would invest differently than someone with $10,000. I am basing my scenario on what I would do with $100,000.

I would invest the remaining 35% in survival related items. I would purchase a few acres of land with available firewood and a fresh spring that could also be used for growing food. The fact is people can't eat silver and gold. Food and water are necessary for survival. In planning ahead it would be a good idea to keep some extra food and basics on hand for difficult times.

As Christians, anything we do to prepare should be done unselfishly, keeping others in mind. If we are in a position to help others when things come crashing down, it will be a strong testimony to those who are unprepared. Difficult times could present unique opportunities to share the gospel of Christ with those who've been unwilling to listen before.

While Christians should be prudent and plan wisely as the Lord directs, our number one focus must be on our relationship with Him. We should use this time to grow in our walk, learning to depend on His direction in every facet of our lives. Just getting our houses in financial order won't be enough in the days ahead. We will need supernatural discernment and perseverance that only the Holy Spirit can bring. Draw close to Jesus and He will provide the strength you need to stand firm while facing the challenges ahead!
For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, of love, and of a sound mind. - 2 Timothy 1:7

What really warms my heart is the pure fact that NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS down the pike, real, biblical Christians can be happy and confident that their future is in God's hands and they will land on their feet-- and not their heads. But not without some pain and worry in 2010 and onward...as the article points out.
So even though we have Grace and Freedom to do what we want [to a certain degree], won't we want to do what is right, what is commanded? Try to spend/ charge less and live with in our means and hide the 'plastic' in the drawer. I am talking about things that I need to work on....LOL. If I post something that I need to improve on, it pricks my own conscience too so that I take positive action to 'walk the walk' too!

On the other hand, it doesn't take a military genius to figure out how Israel feels about it's own safety, and what history has proved. No one tried to stop the Holocaust in WW-2 when even America KNEW what was happening to the Jews in Germany ! The Jews will never forget that, so that they know they can only trust in their own might for survival as Iran gets nuclear. Obama and his Dims clearly are indecisively ignorant when it comes to military common sense-- and will probably sell Israel out for selfish interests, or fear. Most of the time you just can't use 'diplomacy' with the Big Bully on the block. The only thing that worked for me as I was a young kid in Milwaukee was to punch that bully in the nose really hard to get him off my back as I walked home from school every day! Just like the words to the song, 'Coward of the County' ... "sometimes you've got to fight to be a man..."
Link:

Soldiers train hard hoping that they will never have to use their skills in battle/ war -- but in the back of their minds they know some day the battle will come, and they will be ready to fight.
In ancient Israel, obama and the Dims would have been hiding under a rock, cowards that they are, IMHO. Or they would be selling out their own nation and fraternizing with the enemy. That is my personal opinion from observation, just like all the other stupid Bills rushed through Congress and silly Socialistic ideas. 'There is nothing new under the sun.'

I never claimed to be some hero, but I did serve with distinction for 2 years in Vietnam and have friends who were there with me to vouch for me and orders to prove what I say. And through the years I have studied and read many intellectual books to further my knowledge and at least have SOMETHING to show for my 60 years on planet earth. But to tie it all together in the final analysis: 'The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God.' --1 Cor. 3:19. And when we look back a few hundred or thousand years from now, we will understand better that the only thing that truly mattered was our service in God's Army-- putting His kingdom first. "Let YOUR Will be done." We certainly don't see that now, do we? Yet, America, collectively with majority voted for a man who did honestly lay out his objectives, including ABORTION, the Gay Agenda, 'sharing the so-called wealth' and other perversions/ illegalities, for the American public-- as Glenn Beck graphically reminds us on TV and Radio. See him daily on Fox News TV, 5 PM.

I must take Sharon to the doctor tomorrow-- her feet, ankles and lower legs are swelled up. Please pray for my wife, as she is in constant pain and poor health.

Iran to Hold Drill to Protect Nuke Sites

The drills will focus solely on protecting the Iranian nuclear facilities from attack. The other announcement was that if Israel did indeed strike Iran that they were prepared to strike the heart of Tel Aviv. This

The Republicans DO have better ideas to help the Economy!

Tom's Journal.

tschuckman@aol.com

Fact: The Republicans DO have some brilliant, better ideas to help get more jobs in the short and long term! But the Dimwitted, bought out, lame stream "media" and Dims- controlled Congress won't give them a chance! I believe that if another super stupid Bill is passed before the public and "Congress" have a chance to READ AND DISCUS/ DEBATE IT-- the world will consider us the most stupid Nation in the world... and they'd be right.

When I worked in Finance [taking a sabbatical from my main welding bread and butter- skill/ occupation] I learned that, 'You should NEVER sign something before you read it!!' But like other scams, most Life Insurance contracts are intentionally written to baffle the prospective client. I KNOW the Life Insurance Industry! But anyone can go to the local library and learn these things too-- if they beat themselves enough to wade through the dry reading and history of that industry. IMHO, the Conservative Patriots and the 'Founding Fathers that sleep' must be beating their heads against a wall trying to figure out how the entire American people have been rail road- ed/ duped into accepting all the stupid, worst Bills that are getting signed into Law! Shame! I bet our old History books will soon be burned so that the coming generations will never know what real Freedom is --- except that I believe the Lord will come back sooner than that.

I also blame the Republicans for being so 'loose' and immoral as to be caught doing immoral things and cheating, thereby getting ousted from Congress-- so that the Dims [Democats] now control both the Senate and the House! Big Shame!

Washington's Elusive Quest for Jobs
By Paul Ryan
Representing Wisconsin's 1st Congressional District

November 18, 2009

With unemployment at 10.2%, it is imperative that we focus on job creation. In the halls of Congress, there are reports of yet another "stimulus" spending bill. It is great that jobs are again on the agenda, but to continue to do the same thing (simply spend more money) and expect different results is the definition of insanity. As the private sector continues to shed jobs, the size and scope of the federal government is expanding at breakneck speed: trillions in new taxes, spending, and debt; the creation of new government entitlement programs; unprecedented power grabs over our financial, health care, and energy sectors. Washington needs to drop its adherence to the notion that spending your money and printing new money are the only answers to promoting jobs here at home.

Impact of Stimulus: Obama Administration Projections vs. Actual Results

As we open another stimulus debate, it is instructive to revisit the passionate and vocal case made earlier this year for the trillion dollar spending package (H.R. 1). In January of 2009, President-elect Obama’s economic team released a detailed report that made clear the need for their spending bill and the consequences if we didn’t rush one-trillion dollars out the door ("The Job Impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act", 1/10/09). The following chart, along with updates that mark the actual unemployment data, makes clear the disparity between Washington’s promises and the dismal results.

In his first Weekly Radio Address since taking office, President Obama urged swift passage of his American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which he argued would "immediately jumpstart job creation" (White House, 1/23/09). He added, "If nothing is done, the unemployment rate could reach double digits." Shortly after the massive spending bill became law, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi sought to assure the skeptical public by stating, "We must make sure the public understands this is a very fiscally sound package. The choices that were made in it were to create jobs, jobs, jobs and jobs and jobs as soon as possible" (Democratic Steering and Policy Committee, 3/10/09). In June, when pressed to explain why jobs, jobs, jobs were not materializing, Vice President Joe Biden noted, "The speed of job growth will really pick up in the next few months" (Time Magazine, 6/2/09). Since that time, the economy lost 1.33 million jobs.

By any objective standard, the so-called stimulus has been a failure. Since the stimulus was enacted, the private sector has lost over 3 million more jobs and the unemployment rate has reached double digits. In addition to dismal jobs numbers, the record new spending has contributed to a $1.4 trillion federal budget deficit this year.

In the face of these irrefutable facts, the Obama Administration and leaders in Congress continue claim that they’ve "created or saved" millions of jobs. They argue that things would have been worse had Congress failed to shovel trillions of dollars out the door. Yet again, facts continue to tell a different story. The data used to back up these claims has come under widespread scrutiny. According to an independent Milwaukee Journal Sentinel analysis, a White House report citing that "640,000 jobs were created or saved by the stimulus package" was "rife with errors, double counting and inflated numbers based more on satisfying federal formulas than creating real jobs" (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, 11/5/09).

“Track the Money” – Recovery.gov – Accessed: 11/18/09

Recovery.gov has been rightly criticized for crediting jobs that don’t exist, jobs at companies that don’t exist, and jobs in Congressional districts that don’t exist. Earlier today, I visited the Obama Administration’s Recovery.gov myself to check out its impact on Wisconsin: http://www.house.gov/ryan/recovery1.htm.

The Administration claims to have spent $2.4 billion in the state of Wisconsin, resulting in 10,073 jobs "created or saved." In the Wisconsin’s 1st Congressional District, taxpayers spent roughly $1.5 million per job. More troubling, millions more of your money has apparently been spent in six congressional districts that don’t exist. Despite promises of unprecedented accountability, it is unclear what has happened to the $1.2 million earmarked for the non-existent 55th Congressional District of Wisconsin, as the Badger State only has eight congressional districts. These false jobs claims are not only embarrassing, but further erode the trust between Wisconsinites and their federal government.

This exercise illuminates Washington’s fundamental error in its elusive quest for job creation: the belief that only greater government spending can generate jobs. Because every dollar Congress spends must first be taken from the economy, Congressional spending can’t grow the economic pie - it just redistributes the slices. Congress must recognize that real, sustained growth and job creation comes from the work, savings and investment of American families and businesses - not from the federal government.

Should this message get through to the White House and leaders in Congress, what can Congress do to encourage small businesses and entrepreneurs to take risks, expand their operations and create jobs? As argued during the previous stimulus debates, there are legitimate steps Congress can take to help the American economy in both the near and long term, including the following:

  • Support Real Policies for Growth. Fast-acting tax policy - such as allowing expensing on all new investments - would boost incentives to expand business operations and create jobs. In addition, lowering the corporate income tax rate - currently the second highest in the industrialized world - would help attract investment in the U.S., and reduce the incentives to shift business operations and jobs overseas.

  • Provide Tax Certainty. Due to next year’s expiration of past tax laws, the Majority is set to hit Americans with new tax increases on investment, savings, businesses, families and workers. This threat is stifling business investment and job creation today because of the uncertainty in tax laws. Congress should permanently extend the current tax laws and drop its insistence tax increases. This would serve as a de facto tax cut, increasing the after-tax rate of return on investment and unlocking billions in private, idle capital.

  • Get Spending Under Control. Congress threatens to erase any potential economic gains if we fail to get a grip on our fiscal crisis. We are set to double our national debt in five years, triple it in ten - and then the spending really explodes as the baby boomers retire. Absent serious reform, our entitlement programs will not only grow themselves right into extinction, but they will impose a crushing blow to our budget, our currency, and our economy in the process. We should stop the creation of a new health care entitlement and make sustainable existing programs that strengthen our health and retirement security. I will continue to promote my efforts to tackle this challenge head on (www.americanroadmap.org; www.house.gov/ryan/budgetreform/).

If the Majority puts aside its ideological commitment to growing government, these ideas could be included in bipartisan solutions to bring jobs back into our economy.
