Happy Thanksgiving.

My wife was still in very bad shape this morning as I took her to see one of her many doctors in Kenosha, WI at 0900. Hard for her to just walk and breath with chest discomfort too. We all thought it best for her to stay there for a few days, 3-4, to try and get her back to "normal." Her kids and grand kids hope to be up here tomorrow to see/ visit her and also join me for Thanksgiving dinner. I discovered a half flat tire from a nail on my Ram truck while at the hospital and had it fixed shortly after, then went shopping for birds. I have a favorite, trusted tire dealer who aways takes care of me. Hey, when it rains -- it pours, but I am NOT crying in my beer. I am very thankful for everything I have. I also bought a Tom Turkey and a Duck that I will roast tomorrow morning, and then make another trip to see my wife and bring her some stuff she wanted.

Pray and gives thanks for everything you've got, dear friends! I remember spending a few holidays over seas in RVN and learned to deal with it. Remember that MANY people have already fell through the cracks, got laid off, lost their jobs and houses recently and still, by the world's standards, we are still a rich nation... yet. My grandfather who came over to America on a boat by himself at age 13, used to say, "If you have a roof and enough to eat--that's enough." He and his brothers became well to do from hard work and fragility, and I learned from their advice and wisdom. My grandma came from Europe too and was the finest cook I ever knew-- German- Hungarian. Both of my Mom's parents spoke more than one language but both spoke German, and they assimilated into American culture and learned English too, or course, and were happy and greatful to become Americans and contribute much to our society.

Your prayers for my wife are greatly appeciated. Thank you.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING !

Tom

By Albert MohlerThanksgiving is a deeply theological act, rightly understood. As a matter of fact, thankfulness is a theology in microcosm - a key to understanding what we really believe about God, ourselves, and the world we experience.A haunting question is this: How do atheists observe Thanksgiving? I can easily understand that an atheist or agnostic would think of fellow human beings and feel
