Pix from Vietnam.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

I was just thinking how ignorant of what was happening all around me in the '3rd Corp' area in Vietnam: 68-70, when I was there serving in the U.S. ARMY, with USARV, and the 1st Aviation Brigade [2nd tour]---and that was probably a blessing and emotional 'protection...'. The top generals knew the skinny, but I doubt the rank and file grunts probably didn't have the whole picture available to them--- just logic.

Having been a combat Veteran/ Soldier and Aviator, chopper gunner, etc., and also a History and Bible buff/ student really made an impact on me. And as we all came home from the war, got married, had kids and therefore HAD TO WORK HARD AND MAKE A LIVING... some of the questions and dreams never got answered or translated, until now. Interesting as this is to many of us, especially families of the fallen warriors, the beat goes on, the world is in eminent danger of collapse from many sources--- and the RAPTURE will soon come with Jesus! All things have to be put into prospective, sort of pigeon holed in some inner secret compartments of our minds.

Friends, there are so many 'good' causes, movements, orgs, fine, noble things to engage in, follow and do in 2010! But the first and main priority should be SAVING yourself from hell, damnation and the Great Tribulation that any blind person can see coming--- hello! I know I am beating that poor dead horse again in search of anyone that might stumble upon my humble Blog [and please share it, if you see any merit]. For this is my main quest in life and all other things are mere rubbish! Glenn Beck has SOME of it right! He wants to turn America around -- back to the dreams of the Founders of this noble country-- but in fact, it's too late!! However, many INDIVIDUALS can still be SAVED! Just having/ owning the Bible or going to church will NOT save you! The video may seem goofy, but it's also scary. Enjoy.

A look back at Viet Nam.

A Look Back at the Viet Nam War on the 35th Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon : A Plog (Photo Blog)

" War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." John Stuart Mill
A word of caution. Some of you who served in Viet Nam may not want to view these. Some are quite graphic, not so much in "gore," but more "situationally associated." Clearly, some of us have walked the trails, been on the hills, may even be in some of the flicks. Some folks have no problems with such things, others find such photos difficult to deal with.
Given the above caveat, there are some very interesting photos here. Some are very interesting to study. I noticed something in #13...wonder IF others will. Unreal catch with respect to timing of the shot. #21, although of Soldiers, will bring back many memories to Marines who worked "I" Corps during the Monsoon Season. Some memories will come flooding back (no pun intended aligned with #21) when viewing these flicks.
Final thought, just imagine what would happen today, what with all the angst when the media brings out that we lost two or three Warriors in Iraq or Afghanistan , IF we were to suffer losses in the numbers discussed in some of the photos...?!?!?!? Losing ONE is terrible, but we've lost our National courage to wage war, at least IMHO.
