Obama a Christian?

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

I guess that I can talk/ write about anything I want-- although I consider this a 'Christian Based Blog.' I try to tie things together to show that God's Way is the Right way, and the Bible ought to be our blue print, TM [Technical Manual--G.I.] or hand book of LIFE. In my own life, when ever I have disregarded or deviated from the Bible-- something bad happens to me. When ever I depend on my own strengths or knowledge too much-- I slip and fall because of my silly pride!

It's true that many people step on and cheat others to get rich and comfortable, powerful and controlling. On the other hand, I knew a Christian multimillionaire who invited me into his grand home and made some pizzas for me and a few others!
When I was a young boy in school, I day dreamed and wished that I could someday get rich by hard, smart work, and indeed, I retired from Chrysler after 30.5 years at age 54, with full benefits and pension, but not very rich... LOL. After a life of hard and dangerous work-- many times a person is injured and disabled, like me. That is NOT what I intended, but at least I can pay my bills and help a few others in different ways.

I enjoy younger people coming over to help me do some heavy chores, like my nephew Steve S, who visited us today and helped us. I enjoy listening to him talk about his work, his wife trains and shows horses, gives lessons, etc., and Steve is a hard worker with concrete, welding, etc. He picked our humble garden again today so we have a bunch of tomatoes, zucchini and cucumbers again on the kitchen table. So after he is done we sit and chat with a cold drink, and he listens to my old Army times/ stories, and other experiences-- but I also get a chance to talk to him about God and the Bible. It's the same with my own grown kids [in their 30's], and then I can slip them some gas money and gifts to take home, and perhaps take them out to eat. God has certainly blessed in so many ways, even if my two knees are shot and busted. I can't wait for new bionic knees!

The point I wanted to touch on is that 'foolishness is tied up to the heart of a boy-- but the rod of discipline will remove it far from him.' ~Proverbs. If we didn't get proper BIBLICAL training at home when we were young... the 2nd best thing [perhaps] is to have a "Dutch uncle." That is a relative, like me, who makes himself available to mentor with kindness and respect, to someone younger whom he thinks has distinct possibilities in the future as a productive member of society--- and heaven.... if the uncle teaches the nephew or friend the wisdom of the Bible, IMHO. I have always wanted to mentor older teens or young people who at least have a good, hard, work ethic. I know that some rich kids get all the breaks in life with all the extra lessons and training from tutors, instructors, music and paid for education.... In my own life from time to time, a few good people stepped in to mentor me and change my wrong headed ways into a more wise, productive, balanced, reasonable, lifestyle. PTL! I have always wondered if the Lord didn't send those 'angels' into my life, and on the RIGHT path to serve God and correct my life. The alternative is hell.

Truth be Told:
Galatians 6:7, "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: For whatsoever a man soweth, that so he also reap." KJV. And of course the 'Fruits of the Spirit as listed at Gal. 5:22, and Socialism and the "One World Gov't" of Mr. Obama doesn't fit well with Christianity. Webster's says that a Christian is a follower or imitator of Christ. Would Christ sanction ABORTION, the GAY AGENDA, STEALING/ MISAPPROPRIATING TAXES, LYING?? Let the elected high offices and administration's record speak for themselves. For any biblical Christian -- this stuff is so elementary and SIMPLE to understand. Christian children in grade school understand these things! I think that many Americans WANT to be led astray for their 'free lunch', and choose to remain ignorant! Those Lemmings are doomed. Bank on the fact that the ignorant ones getting the 'free lunches' and entitlements--- laughter and celebrating will be short lived after the Lord Raptures up His Believers. I can't miss that train. Bye guys. Time for a great, restful sleep, and then fellowship at church with all my friends on a sunny Sunday. I might cook out after that if it isn't too hot.

President Obama a Devout Christian?

Posted: 21 Aug 2010 10:50 AM PDT

By Dave Welch. US Pastor Council The Miami Herald reports that "Pastors who pray with Obama say he's a devout Christian."What? In feeble attempts to defend President Obama's support for the building of an Islamic mosque near Ground Zero, his team is now pulling out the "He is a devout Christian" card. The article quotes two pastors in particular: "He is a Christian by choice, a devout Christian,"

I was just thinking how ignorant of what was happening all around me in the '3rd Corp' area in Vietnam: 68-70, when I was there serving in the U.S. ARMY, with USARV, and the 1st Aviation Brigade [2nd tour]---and that was probably a blessing and emotional 'protection...'. The top generals knew the skinny, but I doubt the rank and file grunts probably didn't have the whole picture available to them--- just logic.

Having been a combat Veteran/ Soldier and Aviator, chopper gunner, etc., and also a History and Bible buff/ student really made an impact on me. And as we all came home from the war, got married, had kids and therefore HAD TO WORK HARD AND MAKE A LIVING... some of the questions and dreams never got answered or translated, until now. Interesting as this is to many of us, especially families of the fallen warriors, the beat goes on, the world is in eminent danger of collapse from many sources--- and the RAPTURE will soon come with Jesus! All things have to be put into prospective, sort of pigeon holed in some inner secret compartments of our minds.

Friends, there are so many 'good' causes, movements, orgs, fine, noble things to engage in, follow and do in 2010! But the first and main priority should be SAVING yourself from hell, damnation and the Great Tribulation that any blind person can see coming--- hello! I know I am beating that poor dead horse again in search of anyone that might stumble upon my humble Blog [and please share it, if you see any merit]. For this is my main quest in life and all other things are mere rubbish! Glenn Beck has SOME of it right! He wants to turn America around -- back to the dreams of the Founders of this noble country-- but in fact, it's too late!! However, many INDIVIDUALS can still be SAVED! Just having/ owning the Bible or going to church will NOT save you! The video may seem goofy, but it's also scary. Enjoy.

A look back at Viet Nam.

A Look Back at the Viet Nam War on the 35th Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon : A Plog (Photo Blog)

" War is an ugly thing but not the ugliest of things; the decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feelings which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. A man who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself." John Stuart Mill
A word of caution. Some of you who served in Viet Nam may not want to view these. Some are quite graphic, not so much in "gore," but more "situationally associated." Clearly, some of us have walked the trails, been on the hills, may even be in some of the flicks. Some folks have no problems with such things, others find such photos difficult to deal with.
Given the above caveat, there are some very interesting photos here. Some are very interesting to study. I noticed something in #13...wonder IF others will. Unreal catch with respect to timing of the shot. #21, although of Soldiers, will bring back many memories to Marines who worked "I" Corps during the Monsoon Season. Some memories will come flooding back (no pun intended aligned with #21) when viewing these flicks.
Final thought, just imagine what would happen today, what with all the angst when the media brings out that we lost two or three Warriors in Iraq or Afghanistan , IF we were to suffer losses in the numbers discussed in some of the photos...?!?!?!? Losing ONE is terrible, but we've lost our National courage to wage war, at least IMHO.
