Days of Noah.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

This is just too cool!! I get more humble every time I read the Bible as these new things come out, and thanks to other brothers and sisters in Christ, who borne along by Holy Spirit figure these things out and share!

P.S. Monday morning temperature: 64!! Fall is on the way-- OK!
Friends, I am finally getting to the almost 'saturation point' where we are all on the 'same page' and our brethren on Christian radio are repeating themselves quite a bit as to the coming Rapture and "What to do if you get Left Behind." Truth be told, I confess that I have jumped on the band wagon a few times and speculated too much about the 'TIMING' in guessing WHEN the Israeli's might attack Iran, to set things off... LOL. I am embarrassed somewhat for pushing beyond what the scriptures actually tell us. But it seems so logical that the time to hit Iran's nukes would be BEFORE the Russians inserted the rods into the nuclear reactors!! At least I am still carrying the torch for God, that we all ought to live our lives for Christ and do His bidding by sharing the Gospel. We have to go on with life-- but as Soldiers of Christ we also have to be alert and be beacons of hope and faith, to encourage our brothers and others. Better to be zealous for the Lord, then drop the torch of light and get lost in the darkness of Satan.

In view of all the dealings with Israel in the past by their God- Yahweh [or Jehovah], and I now believe that we won't learn the real, personal name of God in heaven until we get there.... God likes to make sure that EVERYONE knows that He alone is the ONLY Deliverer of His chosen people. See: Old Testament. He doesn't want us prideful mere humans to trust in our OWN abilities, weapons, alliances, or resources! As evidenced in my own life of 61 years, I have had to learn that the hard way, with many hard knocks and bruises to show for it.

We biblical, real Christians will suffer persecution, generally speaking, for the Lord Jesus Christ-- although many are being tortured and murdered right now in China, India, and most Islamic nations. In fact, if the world loves you, something is wrong!! See: James 4:4.

And then too many of us, Christians included make our OWN troubles, like spending and charging too much money, for the fleeting comforts and things that we really don't need, so that we are forced to work more days and hours to pay them off, leaving nothing left for the Lord and other brothers and sisters in need, like missionaries, etc. I learned that gig, and now my children are learning it. I don't think they listen to Dad until it's too late.

Sharon was at the doctor early today for her back assessment, and plans to go back tomorrow for a bone scan to see if she is a candidate for Bertebroplasty.

Have a great, blessed day!

As It Was in the Days of Noah

By Jack Kelley GraceThruFaith.com As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man (Matt 24:37).The time leading up to the Great Flood was a lot like our time today in that it was characterized by a deliberate and escalating disregard for the ways of God. Finally “the Lord saw how great man’s wickedness on earth had become and that every inclination of the thoughts of

More Birth Pangs: Floods, Drought, and Pestilence

By Todd Strandberg Rapture Ready One of the clearest indications of the progression of Bible prophecy is the frequency of end-time events. In Matthew 24:8, we are told that the last days will be the tail-end of an exponential curve of activity. Jesus mentioned a great variety of signs — spiritual, natural, societal, and geopolitical — and then He said that these signs will be like "birth pangs."
