What's is going to be?

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

Mike Hernandez is a smart, cool, friend of mine, and always has some pearls of wisdom to share with us. I love to "hang out" with serious bible students like Mike, in hopes that some of his intelligence 'rubs off' on me... LOL. But I also appreciate other Christians too. Go figure; if we claim to love and serve God and Christ, would we not want to be proficient with His holy Word-- the Bible! How else can we glean knowledge and personal information about Him-- and what the promised heaven are like?? It makes sense to me. Yet, when we need something, we demand that He help us, when we know only the bare minimum about God and His personality, will, and divine purpose for His servants/ believers, heaven and earth. "Thy Kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven." ~Matthew 6:9. I would say that MOST folks even in America don't truly understand what those words mean. Hey! Give it a try and comment below! There is NO coma between the words, "earth" and "as." But we pause here at the wrong place when reciting that prayer when we pray together...

But does anyone really understand what "Thy kingdom come" MEANS?? The term: Kingdom comes from 'King's domain', or some would say "Gov't." So... who's Gov't are Christians praying for?? GOD'S KINGDOM! Did God bless His chosen people, Israel, when He allowed Babylon, and latter the Romans to destroy and scatter His holy nation and people when they went after false gods? And what in the world do we think-- why would God choose to spare America, a relatively 'young' country in historic terms, where thousands of babies are murdered every year and being homosexual is accepted and sanctioned by our courts, Armed Forces, and Law, just to name a few....?? IF a nation claims to have a Constitution and a Covenant with the God of the Bible-- yet breaks all the sacred promises-- can we really expect God's protection and blessings?? If God didn't spare His own beloved, chosen people, Israel, from harsh chastisement, why would He spare the USA? The fact is: HE WON'T. Scripture says that God's own people, Israel,WILL FINALLY ACCEPT THE LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST IN THE LATTER PART OF THE COMING TRIBULATION, that will last of 7 long, torturous years. But America is not even mentioned, one way or another! Christian Believers [from all over the world] need not worry because we will be Raptured to heaven! But what about those who are 'Left Behind ??' Individuals can and will be spared/ SAVED by their total acceptance of Jesus Christ, but whole nations will be turned up side down and trashed big time, and SOON! Ha! do you think that our economy is hard and rough now...lol?? Just wait, dear friends. Our gasoline is now about $2.57 in Wisconsin, and I just filled up the tank on the Dodge Ram 4 by 4 today. But that could change in a heart beat. The poor wheat harvest in Russia may translate to less exports to the Middle East. Frankly, woe and rough times are coming at the world from all corners. Older people in their 60's and above can 'see' that something is amiss and strangely different lately. I used to be a worried 'survivalist' of sorts, but now I trust in the Lord. Besides, I really need to lose the weight before the VA docs cut my knee.

As I quote Paul so much...'All the rest of our material things are but a dung heap.' ~paraphrased. Put NOT your faith and trust in mere mortal men-- but on Jesus Christ. Please tell me, what country or political party has got things right? Well, then, what are YOU doing now to support and commit yourselves to 'God's Kingdom'? Are you trying to grow closer to God, and His Word, the Bible, and sharing this "Good News" of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with your best efforts? Or just 'going with the flow' like a dead fish?

I want all of you to know that I am a poor, sinner. But also a SAVED Christian, ready to lay down my very life for my Christian beliefs, and I know that I am going to heaven. You all can and should have that same joy and confidence! "For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." Philippians 1:21. Who is with me?

Warm Regards,
Tom Schuckman

Isaiah 7:14 “A” or “The”, which is it?
What is it going to be?

The Truth Shall Set You Free

By Mike Hernandez

In order to see if making seemingly trivial changes to the scriptures really makes a difference, let us look at the two articles “a” and “the”.

I will present to you the effects of this change.

By using the article “the” in conjunction with an item, it implies that the item discussed must be known; we must know the exact item in which we are discussing.

On the other hand, if we used the article “a” in conjunction with an item, it would imply any item; an item that is not defined or known; any item will suffice.

For example, if I asked you to please mail me “the” book, then without hesitation you would grab “the” book from your shelf, pack it in a box, and ship it promptly as you would know which book to send.

However, if I asked you to send me “a” book, you would do one of the following:

1. You would ask me which book I would like you to send.
2. You would send me any book which you saw fit.

Those are the options.

“Words Matter!”

By Dr. David R. Reagan Lamb & Lion Ministries During the last presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton decided to make the point that Barack Obama was all smooth talk with no substance. In her attack on him she said that “talk is cheap” and that words were nothing without action. Her attack really riled Obama, and he fired back with these memorable words (which he plagiarized word for word from a
