The Heart.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

The pure Audacity!  Such a small 'postage stamp' country  [Israel] the size of New Jersey that the Muslims, and the rest of the world just can't leave alone, and the world has all but abandoned the 'children of Abraham' -- the "apple of God's Eye", including America!!

I just got my much desired book in the mail today:  AS AMERICA HAS DONE TO ISRAEL. [The result:  Massive National Disasters]  ~by John P. McTerman. About 300 pages, and I will start reading it soon.   I know it sounds like 'Indiana Jones', but I kind of liked that first movie too.  One thing for certain... you DON'T mess with the Father in Heaven.  He is very patient, long suffering and merciful, but He has His limits and Justice.  I fear Him as a young child fears to offend his beloved earthly father.  It's not a dreaded. morbid  fear, but one where you know your dad has sacrificed and loves you greatly-- and you don't want to fail/ break his loving trust or hurt him.   Of course in real life, my Dad was one to be dreaded and was very strict with me.  But I figured that at age 18-- if I didn't have the required amount of money for college tuition in 1967 [and I was accepted by 3 good Wisconsin colleges]-- I would get my education in the Army, which I did.  NOBODY FORCED ME TO JOIN THE ARMY, as my twisted brother tried to lie about.. and there was always some animosity at home...  I didn't 'run away' or try to 'hurt' anyone, but I was tired of being the 'whipping boy' for everything that wasn't done perfectly... lol., and I was just so hungry for excitement, adventure and wanted to serve my country and be part of something greater than myself.  Something as big as college needed to fill that void in my life.  I was going to get into ROTC anyway.

I suspect that my new book will have a lot of history in it, of course, and Bible prophesy, but that's the nature of the beast.  I already know the final outcome, but it's nice to have all the facts and figures in your mind so as to make a good discussion or argument, IMHO [In my humble opinion].

So I enjoyed another good chess game with Sharon today, bought more dog food for Deuce, the Rotty-- paid $75 for two medium sized bags- Nutro-something.   And can't we expect dog food to shoot up in price too this Summer!   Lately I have not been giving him MY food, and so he eats his food better.
Sharon almost had me on the ropes again today as I just had trouble concentrating on the chess game.  I like to teach her tricks and strategies of chess, and I know someday she will beat me, but that's OK.  I have a cold soda pop from the new small frig I bought her and we have a good time!  Nest door/ the next room some woman was screaming and pounding on the walls until some staff came to help her out.. and in that way, it's got to be hard for 'normal' folks/ patients to cope in that environment, and so my heart pains for my wife to have to live there.  But at this point, today, Sharon could barely walk 3 steps to get something for me, and after that I thought I'd better do things for HER!  She was sick last night and vomited, so her legs were 'rubbery' today.   After that we had a short study in the bible starting  from Jeremiah 17:9,  "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?"  I explained that our brains [mind] KNOWS the real truth and 'commandments' of God, right and wrong, but the heart is treacherous and finds ways to circumvent and weave secret desires that are powerful enough to do one's selfish things, wants, desires.  We cannot allow our hearts to lead us the correct, right way-- but depend on our "Bible trained conscience!"  It's kind of like the faulty, worldly reasoning:  'Jack treated Jill bad-- so she decided to cheat on him....duh.'    You see, that is what TV and Hollywood portray, and therefore the so-called 'norm' in our everyday life of sin and corruption seems natural and normal.  If we train the mind with the best guide line in the universe, the Bible, ask Jesus to come into our heart --the Holy Spirit will prick our conscience [convict us] when our desires are in the wrong area.  I hope I am not mixing you up or saying this wrong....  We also looked up the first prophecy in the bible:  Genesis 3:15, which has not seen total fulfillment yet.   We Christians are NOT under the old Law Covenant, in any way, shape or form-- yet many churches demand that we ought to be!  But we still need to know and understand the OT [Old Testament].  And so on...  It's the husband's job to teach his wife and children the Bible, but now days you hardly see that anymore.  The churches help, but how do you know that what they are teaching is correct and biblical??  As church after church are failing, closing down, merging with the New Age baloney and ecumenical- ism, the ONLY thing we have left is the pure Bible, and we need to study, know and understand it!!  In the absence of real, Bible teaching churches [especially in these last days and in heathen countries- underground] a group of families [just as in the 1st Century of Christianity-- see book of Acts] would meet in someone private home, and the older brothers would conduct Bible studies.  that is being done now where there are not any churches.  It just may come to that when America pulls away from God, totally, and that time may be sooner than we ,th

Warm Regards,
Tom
