Obama's Martial Law?

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

OH No!  I have fore warned many people in the recent past about this outrageous illegal conduct of our dearly beloved President, Obama, even though many would put me in the same slot as "Chicken Little" -- and the Sky is Falling thing.  I also know that I must sound a lot like Glenn Beck, with all his documented whistle blower stuff and proof of what DID actually come to be, later.  And I thought that he had put together some very sound, logical, common sense for all of us, and I like him -- although some of his mindset and religious beliefs went too far, IMHO.  But I STILL RESPECTED THE MAN!

Now all this horrible stuff is coming true right before our eyes.  Doesn't it seem like the Congress might be out of work pretty soon -- IF they allow obama to continue signing his own 'Martial Law' and dictatorship papers?  I am not the sort of man who drags into the punch in clock at the last possible minute before the assembly line at Chrysler starts at 0600!   I always wanted to be there at least 15 minutes early, to get things set up properly, have a bite to eat, and some 'Cold Caffiene' to jolt me awake before the birds start singing.   And I resented what others on the outside said about folks like me being "LUCKY" to have a gravy job, with so many cool benefits, and a good retirement package -- when I personally witness too many of my co-workers being carried out on a wooden pallet with a fork lift truck, and many died before they could retire, etc.!!  It was a dangerous place to work, and we EARNED every penny we got, and SAVED/ Invested our money wisely, when others just partied down, and stayed drunk all the time, or did drugs!  I believed in hard work, and smart work... so please loose the term, "LUCKY" because it's offensive.

BATR [Back at the Ranch], some of us knew about this new development of obama thinking that Romney might get too much favor by the voters, by telling the truth, and setting things straight, and the polls reflecting the common sense of the people....  so obama set this 'fail safe' mechanism into being, and who knows what will happen this year?  If things look bleak, the 'King Makers' who have obama on a string will give him an ultimatum, to go for broke and seize the Power of the People ILLEGALLY!  God help US!

I am not too worried, but I expect utter chaos in the USA, if obama takes over all the power, ILLEGALLY, when foreign troops are here to strip us of our Rights, Guns, food, and Freedoms.  The Lord God in Heaven will always protect His servants here on earth, and even 'DEATH is a way out', instead of bowing to a pagan ruler!!  But are we going to wait until the 'Doors of the Proverbial Ark' close ??

Yes, God will do the real fighting for Israel and the Christian Church, [ and don't forget the Rapture] but we need to be alert and attentive all the same and do OUR part, of warning the world of UN-Believers, until we are told by God to stop!  Friends, Just prepare for this eventuality, please, and warn a few others.  Thank You.

Warm Regards,
Tommy S

Stop Obama's MARTIAL LAW Executive Order!
Barack Hussein Obama has just signed a Presidential Executive Order, which would give him thepowers of a DICTATOR -- whenever HE thinks it's "necessary" to institute MARTIAL LAW! He has given himself the powers to declare martial law -- especially in the event of a war with Iran. It is a sweeping power grab that should worry every American -- TAKE ACTION NOW!

Don't Enjoy Church?

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Hi Folks,
The subject down below needs to be addressed for sure, because so many people say that they dislike going to any church, for a number of reasons -- and many of the reasons seem valid!
People have said to me:   The churches are full of sinners and hypocrites, money grabbers and dishonest people, etc.  To some extent, I agree.  But there is a 'rule of the thumb' way to tell what the real make up of a church is, IMHO.  IF, the church does NOT encourage the common, regular use of the Bible [and I would HOPE, the KJV...] a RED flag should go up in your mind!  If the church DEMANDS at any time that you have to donate/ give a fixed amount of money to join or gain membership in that church -- run the other way!  If that church does NOT teach, share, preach personal study of the Bible, or is more a source of entertainment and music than good solid, fundamental, Bible discourse, reading, teaching, that is unbalanced, and if you want such stuff, go join a country club or entertainment place.   And there are a few other important things of note -- but you've got the main answers here.
I suspect that Jesus own words, in the book of Matthew, are sufficient to set things straight about whom He will welcome into the new Kingdom, after the world is cleansed, with New Heavens and New Earth.   I suspect that perhaps MOST of the churches today have 'dropped the ball' that Jesus Christ gave them, concerning sharing the pure Word of God, and the Gospel of Jesus, and for that, they will pay a big price...  sorry.  With leadership comes A LOT of responsibility and hard work!!  And the New Testament is full of poor, not rich, Christian followers and Believers, compared to our current "Mega-Churches" with so much wealth and creature comforts, huge salaries, and air conditioned dog houses, etc.
Personally,  my wife and I have found a good, wholesome, pure, honest, hard working Pastor and church in the U.P., and just happens to be Baptist, and we love it there and try to support it and the pastor and his fine wife, as much as we can.  PTL.  NO church is going to be perfect!  And I am sure that, for me, personally, that every church has a hussy [immoral person] in it, and a few individuals there to consume more than he needs and cause problems of discord and strife, etc.  If we can look above that/ those kind of people, and stick to what is good and holy -- we can and will gain a lot of good learning and brotherly love, and spiritual benefits!   If we cannot find a good CHRISTIAN church in our area, you could listen to the Radio or  PC-- InterNet to good, wholesome broadcasts, pray, meet with a few other Christians in the area at private home to read and study the Bible, pray and fellowship.   Remember the word "church" means "Congregation" -- and not just a building!
So, how can you discern if a church is good, bad, helpful, correct??   YOU, yes YOU must know the Bible well enough to measure that church by the yard stick of the Bible... and that means YOU have to study it by yourself, or with another Spirit filled friend/ Christian.  If someone EVER tries to charge you for this service -- you know that he is guilty of a big sin and greedy.... so run the other way!
The name of a great  Christian Radio station in the Milwaukee, WI area [but you can always reach it via Computer/ InterNet] is:   WVCY  FM  [and Moody's, in Chicago,  IL].   I will get back with the call numbers.
I would highly recommend thoughtful, sincere prayer in asking the Lord to steer you toward a right Christian church, like I did.  Years ago, I was looking for a good church in my area, and found a Bible tract in the men's room at Chrysler, where I worked for over 30 years, and it turned out to be a great place where I still have friends for life.

Time to get things moving.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

I have heard so many zealous, Bible loving Christians/ and combat Veterans say that IF they had a choice, health and the money, they would love to travel to Israel and help defend that sacred land against all the heathen enemies!  And count me in that march too!  Of course, I would have to ride a much bigger helicopter this time-- 40 years latter than my last tour in Vietnam...LOL!  IF, IF, IF I had the time, youth, and 'bread' I would love to study Hebrew in Israel, and Greek too, to better understand God's Word -- but now I am just an old, disabled, broken down war horse, living and waiting with my attractive wife, Terri, U.P. in Iron Mountain, MI 49801, for God to push the 'War Button' unleashing the first part of His game plan -- and that is what the following short piece of news is all about.  And YES, this is the time of urgency, along with all the hustle and bustle or our hectic, 'hard times' existence on earth -- just as the days of Noah.  Please see:  Matthew 24: 36- 39.  Comparing the Coming of the Son, Jesus -- to the last Days of Noah before the great flood.  And I am well familiar to these special verses thru the last 40 years of intense study.

And I need not tell you all that a person can also be a 'pew sitter' in some church being misled and allowing themselves to remain IGNORANT--GOING along with the meaningless 'traditions of men' and church doctrine, instead of just looking in the Book, written mostly on a 5th Grade Level !!   Many times there are huge fireworks when a person finally learns the TRUTH of the Bible, with the aid of the Holy Spirit, and anger spills over with rage upon finding out that someone you loved and trusted has been lying to you all these past years -- and stealing you hard earned money!!  Like I say, do you want the real truth???

OK, folks, here is a simple equation...  Go to a quiet peaceful place, alone, and just pray to God, the Father, to send  you the Spirit so you can find out the real truth, and what He wants you to do-- and end the prayer "in Jesus' name. Amen."  Then, just read 2 books of the Bible, St. John, and the book of Romans.  That will give you a firm foundation of what the Gospel of Jesus Christ is all about, and start you on your way to discernment and understanding.  Now... if you do NOT have that simple, basic foundation of truth -- how will you look for a Bible teaching church [That is an old English name for a Christian Congregation-- and not necessarily a 'building.']  Keep you money in your pocket until you find out for sure that they are teaching, sharing, and preaching the true Word of God.  A Big red flag should shoot up if you don't see the members of the congregation carrying in their own copies of the bible -- and none present in the racks at church.  The brain is like a muscle -- when you don't crack open the Bible regularly, the muscle tone fails and gets soft.  You want to keep your 'Sword' lightly oiled and sharp!

I do believe that some of our beautiful trees U.P. North are starting to change already!!  Wow! What a super intense, hot, Summer, and I would bet that we will have a long, cold, snowy Winter this year, along with gas and food prices going up, up, and away!   Now would be the right time to draw near to Christ, and also stock up on a few store items, canned goods, etc.  ~James 4:8,  "Draw nigh to God,  and he will draw nigh to you." ~ KJV.. of course.  I strongly recommend getting a copy of the DEFINED King James version Bible, to better help you understand the purest, closest, most accurate translation on earth.  Go to:  biblefortoday.org  --Don't leave home without it.

Tom

Time to authorize use of force again
by Elliott Abrams---
How America can stop what the New York Times calls “Israel’s March to War” is the hot topic this month. The issue—for the Times—is whether Israel is on the verge of bombing Iran’s nuclear sites, or can be persuaded to delay that decision and rely on the United States instead. This is what a parade of U.S. officials visiting Jerusalem this summer have counseled (and pressured) Israel to do. But the comments of Israel’s top officials suggest that its patience is wearing thin and that it may act soon, in weeks if not months. As the Associated Press put it, “Israeli leaders, who have long issued veiled threats against Iran, now appear to be preparing the country for war. … The heightened rhetoric has fueled jitters that the zero hour is near.”

Why would Israel, with so much less power than the United States, decide to take on a task at the far outer edge of its military capacities? Why not leave that task to the superpower, which would do a much better job? The answer is simple: Israelis do not believe the United States will perform the task—will ever use military force, even as a last resort, to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

In that belief Israel is not alone; its view is shared by Iran. The Iranian record in the nuclear negotiations demonstrates that its leaders do not see themselves at the edge of the apocalypse. Instead they feel free to delay forever, present ridiculous proposals, and refuse to engage in serious bargaining. Meanwhile they push their nuclear program forward, with ever more centrifuges producing ever more enriched uranium, while they also test improved missiles. Read on...

Israel Defense Force Chief of Staff Benny Gantz said: “Explicit threats are being made these days on the security of Israel and its citizens. -- These threats indicate an erroneous evaluation of our strength and our capabilities. Anyone who thinks he can ‘get rid of Israel’ and try to harm our country will discover the deadly power of the IDF. We are poised and ready along the borders to handle threats facing our doorstep. The IDF is armed with the best and boldest soldiers and commanders in the world, including the Golani Brigade.”

God says: “I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness,” declares Yahweh. “I will keep a watchful eye over Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. Then the clans of Judah will say in their hearts, ‘The people of Jerusalem are strong, because Yahweh Almighty is their God.’ --- “On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a firepot in a woodpile, like a flaming torch among sheaves. They will consume all the surrounding peoples right and left, but Jerusalem will remain intact in her place.” (Zechariah 12:2-6)

The Jerusalem Connection says: Unfortunately war with Iran is inevitable. It will likely include Iran’s clients, Hamas and Hezbollah, and maybe others. If Zechariah’s prophecy is fulfilled at this time (it has not been fulfilled before), Israel will experience a stunning victory. The aftermath results of such a decisive victory will, without a doubt, bring a deluge of vicious and condemning criticism from the world powers. (One can only hope and pray that the United States will not be included.) The stage will have been set for the climactic battles of Zechariah 14. This will be the time for Christians to stand tall in support of Israel, our Elder Brother. Be assured that these Christians will be subje ct to the same onslaught as Israel. May Yahweh, the God of Israel, help us both.

Media myth of two cities

The history of Jerusalem did not start in 1967. Thousands of years of Jewish history took place in what is now called “Arab East Jerusalem.” Only when the Jewish residents were driven from their homes in 1948 was the city divided between East and West. This video shows the reality of Jerusalem today and includes interviews from survivors of the fall of Jerusalem.

Is the Bible Alone Sufficient?

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

The Bible tells me in the book of Hebrews to 'not forsake the frequent gathering of yourselves as is the custom of some folks' and camaraderie, fellowship and Holy Spirit are some reason why I enjoy attending a church regularly.  In the First Century it was the custom to meet at various households for meetings and worship, learning, etc., and people could also get some help if they were really deserving, dealing with hunger, etc.  And, "where 2 or more are gathered, there will be my Spirit."  And one hand strengthens another hand-- and there can be extra care for the infirm, older Christians, etc.  People need not be alone and lonely -- but if they are, they CAN LEARN the bible all by themselves, and they do!  I constantly remind people that the bible is mostly written on a 5th grade level, so what is the problem, friends.

And I just read another news article regarding the head of Israel wanting to strike Iran BEFORE the American elections....[and this was AFTER I finished distributing my own ideas in my Blog:  TOM'S JOURNAL!!  So it's not so far fetched.  What ought we Christians be doing at this late stage of the game ???  Get Ready!  I used to say:  'Why polish the brass on a sinking ship?'

James 4:7, says, "Submit yourselves therefore to God.  Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.  8.  Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.  Cleanse your hands ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded."

And for those goofy, prideful people who always love to tell us that they will jump on the ship just before it sets sail, I say:  that's not how it works.  If you are not ready for the Rapture now, I doubt that you ever will be.  I need to work on my own pride too -- except that many times I am just goofing around with the friends who know me.  Just the same, I want to be found 'spotless' and holy, if it's possible... although the Lord knows that I am yet a sinner man.  And even I believe in OSAS, I will still confess the day's sins before God, before I go to sleep at night, and ask Him for forgiveness.  Even we Christians might think yet in heaven... 'did we do everything we could while on earth, to help others learn the Bible truths, and doctrines?'
In a short time, we shall be dead to all earthly things, after our Lord, Jesus collects us away in the clouds, and graves.  I feel sorry that others who are blinded by false religion, or just laziness, don't 'see and feel what I, personally feel.  Like, I don't feel so comfortable here on earth, and have high hopes to be lifted into heaven -- sinner that I am, but forgiven by Jesus Ransom sacrifice on the cross, once and for all.  PTL.  I believe that if you pray long, hard and often enough, and you are one of the chosen fold -- the Holy Spirit will cause you to understand, and mine the goods from the Scriptures.

Time for bed.

Is the Bible Alone Sufficient?

That the average person can understand Scripture without having to rely upon a church for the "authoritative teaching" is evident in the fact that Jesus taught openly and with clarity, and expected His followers to each understand His meaning. Recall that following His arrest, Jesus was questioned by the High Priest about His disciples and His teaching. Jesus responded:
I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing. Why askest thou me? ask them which heard me, what I have said unto them: behold, they know what I said (John 18:20-21).
According to Jesus, those who heard Him would be able to clearly enunciate what He had openly communicated. There were no confusing or obscure meanings in His words that required an "authoritative interpretation" by a church.
In keeping with this, the apostle Paul instructed young Timothy:
"From a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus" (2 Timothy 3:15).
This verse points to the complete sufficiency of Scripture in the life of a believer.
Jewish boys formally began studying the Old Testament Scriptures when they were five years of age. Timothy had been taught the Scriptures by his mother and grandmother beginning at this age. Clearly, 2 Timothy 3:15 indicates that the Scriptures alone are sufficient to provide the necessary wisdom that leads to salvation through faith in Christ. The Scriptures alone are the source of spiritual knowledge.
Then, 2 Timothy 3:16-17 tells us that all Scripture is "profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." This verse does not say that Scripture as seen through the lens of the Mormon church is "profitable for doctrine, for reproof," and so forth. It is Scripture that does these things. And the reason Scripture can do these things is that all Scripture is inspired by God (vs. 16a).
The word inspired means "God-breathed." Scripture is sufficient because it finds its source in God. It is noteworthy that the phrase thoroughly furnished ("that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished") means "complete, capable, fully furnished, proficient in the sense of being able to meet all demands." Scripture alone makes a person complete, capable, and proficient. Scripture furnishes all that one must know to be saved and to grow in grace.

Correctly Handling the Word of Truth

Jesus said His words lead to eternal life (John 6:63). But for us to receive eternal life through His words, they must be taken as He intended them to be taken. A cultic reinterpretation of Scripture that yields another Jesus and another gospel (2 Corinthians 11:3-4; Galatians 1:6-9) will yield only eternal death (Revelation 20:11-15).

How much time do we have-- to share the Gift?

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

IMHO, and in the world Christian 'Camp' conventional wisdom has it that the 'right time' for Israel to do her pre-emptive air strike, would be BEFORE the American Prez. election, because they feel that America would be forced to support that important strike.  When backed into a corner, even a dirty old rat will fight back, and we still have to worry a bit about public opinion....  much different than AFTER the political race, when they can bury their head in the sand again... although I am inclined to think that a conservative new Prez would assume the role of a proper Commander in Chief.   However, the truth of the Bible be told, and divine prophecy fulfilled, it is GOD Almighty of the Bible who will really protect Israel and beat her enemies!!   The entire world will know and understand that a 2nd rate country [ even if they are brave, fine warriors fighting for the survival of their small State] could not have finished the big job of taking out such deep, well guarded, defended underground bunkers used for developing their nuclear bombs, etc.  Is it not exiting to see all of this high anxiety, high adventure happening right before our eyes???  Wow.

We suspect that the Rapture will follow not to far behind the war between Israel and her enemies...  so that gives us something to think about, and TAKE ACTION!  I've been blogging and emailing about this subject for years.  If I have helped just ONE person find the Lord and follow Him -- it will be all worth it.  PTL.

So then, if we know and understand what this all means, will we act like Christian soldiers?  Or will we continue to act like ignorant animals, just following the pack of materialistic, immoral, poor excuse for human beings now polluting the earth, slipping closer to total destruction and hell?  Time will tell.   Some may say that it's my nature, or the combat PTSD that won't leave this old, grey haired, tired Vietnam Veteran and retired Chrysler welder, etc.  At least I finally have a good wife -- Terri, and a place in the sun.   My warning will continue until God shuts me up or calls me home, and I will be happy to share the Gospel with every serious ear.

If we are correct, or if we are wrong or mistaken -- we shall continue to serve the Lord.  1st Corinthians tells me that the 'Wisdom of the world is foolishness with God,' and so we know that we are in the 'Season' if not the hour and day.  Let us also give thanks for every single day that we have left on earth, and try to give the finest possible gift to those we meet and deal with -- the love and promise of everlasting life in heaven -- FOR SURE !!
Just think...  If you knew for sure when your last day at home would be -- what would you do to take care of your affairs?   Terri had the many stitches removed from her poor foot, and still has plenty of discomfort, but she is slowly getting better.  We are always talking and tweaking, and making future plans that blend into God's prophecy and plans too.  Your prayers and well wishes are always a comfort.  Thanks.  I have a feeling that we will be getting an early, cold Winter this year, if we are still around.

Warm Regards,
Tommy S

Rapture.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

I learned something good from a friend of mine,  Steven Brulport....  a great motto:  "Happy Wife -- Happy Life."  I know that we can take that too far -- to extreme measures, but the Christian wife, well studied in the Bible ought to be happy with a loving, hard working, Believer, who treats her right... me thinks.
I was thinking that in 90 days or less from today, we should see some earth shaking developments rattle our very foundations, for sure!  I trust in the Lord, but even the Bible says that 'there will be perilous times hard to deal with, in the Last Days.'  I learned so much by myself this past week down at my old house [for sale in Union Grove, WI] getting my head straight with intense prayer and bible study with only my dog, Deuce, for company, and also a lot done in other areas too.   I have MY game plan all worked out, on paper, ready for what ever comes down the pike, but I would be lying if I didn't  think that world events were not scary right now.  Remember, that NO Human can deliver us from evil -- only our Father in Heaven.

More latter.

What Will Happen to America
After the Rapture?
by Heidi Swander
August 15, 2012

Have you ever stopped to think about the implications to America and the world at the moment of the Rapture (and it doesn't matter which Rapture theory you subscribe to as you contemplate this)? Many of us undoubtedly have seen movies and read novels speculating about the effects of the most catastrophic biblical phenomenon predicted since the flood of Noah, but the worldwide implications, honestly, go far beyond those limited portrayals.
Did many people disappear
Did many people disappear?
I've just finished reading Joel Rosenberg's latest non-fiction book, Implosion, and one of the chapters gets down to brass tacks about what America and the entire world is in for at the moment this event takes place.
I learned a lot and appreciated so many things Joel shared in this book, from two plans that exist to stanch America's financial collapse, to the story behind America's recognition of the State of Israel in 1948, to the optimistic and pessimistic views of where our country sits today, from the standpoint of total implosion. (There are two distinct opinions on this and it's very intriguing to read about why the optimists are so confident.) But for my money -- and because I, as a pre-tribulation adherent, wait daily to hear the trumpet -- the most dynamic part of Joel's book was this fascinating look at the ramifications of the Rapture on America (and the world).
The chapter is part of a four-chapter set outlining possible scenarios for America's implosion:
  • The Financial Implosion Scenario
  • The War and Terrorism Scenarios
  • The Natural Disaster Scenarios
  • The Rapture Scenario
In "The Rapture Scenario," Joel asks, "What will happen to America after the Rapture?" He recollects all the changes that have taken place in our lives since 9/11, when three thousand Americans lost their lives. There was the devastating emotional impact -- not just to the families and friends of those lost, but to our country at large. But there were also changes in travel, foreign policy, economics and our government institutions.
"Now," Joel says, "Try to imagine the U.S. losing a million people in the blink of an eye. Or 5 million people. Or 25 million people. Or more.
There's the mental picture we're all used to: "If you're riding in a car driven by a believer who suddenly disappears, that car very well could crash. If you're on a plane flown by believers who suddenly disappear, that plane also could crash." But then there are some mental pictures less prolific: "Highly valuable and experienced military commanders and business leaders and medical professionals will disappear, perhaps in the middle of critical projects or medical procedures. The impact will be catastrophic."
Think about the emotional ramifications for those left behind who have suddenly lost loved ones. There's no closure; they're just gone. And what about so many people who have long considered themselves to be Christian but are left behind to their utter dismay?
But here are some of the larger ramifications that I, personally, have never considered:
"If you think U.S. banks have a foreclosure problem now as millions of Americans cannot afford to pay their mortgages, imagine what will happen when millions of American homeowners suddenly disappear, never to make another mortgage payment again.
"What will happen when millions of business owners are suddenly no longer around to pay their bills? Or pay their employees? Or continue delivering vital goods and services?
"What will happen to the federal government when millions of taxpayers are no longer providing Washington much-needed revenues?
"What will happen to state governments?"
Implosion by New York Times Best-selling author Joel C. Rosenberg - Tyndale House Publishers
Implosion by New York Times Best-selling author Joel C. Rosenberg - Tyndale House Publishers
And then Joel explains, "The foreign-policy implications for the U.S. must also be considered. With such an immediate, enormous, and unprecedented shock to American society and economy from the loss of millions of people, it is difficult to imagine how the U.S. could remain a super-power. How could we quickly replace all our Christian intelligence and foreign-policy officials who would suddenly be gone? How could we quickly replace all the officers and NCOs throughout the ranks of the military who are born-again believers? With all the resulting chaos and dislocation caused by the Rapture, how could the U.S. move rapidly and effectively to defend a threatened or invaded ally or defend our vital interests around the world? How could we defend our own homeland?"
I've never thought of all these consequences. Have you?
Jack Kinsella, one of my favorite writers on Bible prophecy through his daily Omega Letter Digest newsletter, considers that America will likely be the hardest hit by the Rapture, because -- with all of her faults -- America can still be considered the world's most "Christian" nation. Ergo, when the Rapture takes place, our country will probably be the hardest hit of any on the planet. He's not alone in thinking this.
Todd Strandberg of Rapture Ready says, "I believe the Rapture will devastate the American economy so badly that no one will be able to ignore the consequences."
Jack Kelley of Grace Thru Faith, says, "The effects of this on US world leadership, our military strength, and our economy are difficult to calculate, but suffice it to say that it would cause those left behind to be more concerned with putting the nation back together than with external matters."
There are many Bible scholars who have stated this in one way or another. These are just examples.
As Joel outlines in his book, there are a number of scenarios for America's implosion. Could America implode before the Rapture? It could. But to date you will notice that against all odds, our economy is hanging together, when by rights it shouldn't. "Against all odds" could be another way of saying, "God is holding it together." Why? Only He knows.
No matter which scenario eventually causes the collapse of America as a super-state, we know she eventually must fall, because she isn't mentioned by name in Scripture as an integral part of end-time events. I think, personally, that regardless of when the Rapture happens -- before or after implosion -- the Rapture will indeed be a death blow to our nation.
This country has been home to many of us and so that is, indeed, a grievous thought. But be encouraged, because there's a much better world coming and I, for one, am looking forward to it!

October Surprise.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Folks,
I can only read, measure and assimilate all the reliable News that I glean from sources and heads of State, mostly Israel...  or BBC, etc.  The vast majority of real, biblical Christians in 'my camp' believe as I do that, "we do not know the day or hour -- but we know the season" -- and we are there now!  That ought to reflect on our daily, personal lives, friends!!

Satan is furious and super busy with his legions of fallen angels trying hard to pull down "Prime Targets" --namely faithful Christian families, married couples and teens, as well as 'targets of opportunity' or secondary targets.  The MAJORITY of the world already lies in Satan's hands -- just read it in the "Book."  Satan wants MY scalp, and any and all other Christians who try to regularly FIND opportunities to preach, teach, share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the ONLY Salvation there is before it is too late.  Frankly, I know what I must do-- but still have some fear of goofing up and messing up my life with some stupid idea, or sniffing down the wrong trail.... sorry.  My recipe is to pray constantly, study, memorize key scriptures that I personally need, and NEVER, NEVER QUIT !  Two are better than one  -- IF that legally married spouse [one man and one woman] are BOTH bible loving Christians who are willing to study together, pray together and help each other when one falls down.  I love that scene, and I love my wife, Terri.

I played football and track when I was in high school at Waterford H.S., grad in 1967, and then joined the Army [for more education... LOL].  I seemed to have a fear of fumbling the ball or tripping when I was running the 880 [half mile] distance races, and high hurdles, etc.  I was afraid of landing 'wrong' and maybe breaking my neck when pole vaulting -- in those olden times onto just hard sand or  patted down, hard saw dust...ha!   Not like the better 'fall pits' of now days of foam rubber or what ever they use these days.  We all have our fears and idiosyncrasies or phobias, but some of us just 'suck it up' and pretend to be OK... however, the Army and combat in Vietnam taught us how to survive -- and then we taught our young too, because we loved them so much and wanted them to survive too.
I miss my son, Andy, really bad, and hope to see him in heaven.
Now this coming battle is not so much carnal -- but spiritual, as mentioned by the apostle Paul.  See:  Ephesians 6: 12... "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places."  The Boy Scouts tell you to Be Prepared.  The Bible tells us to put on the full suit of armor, with the shield and sword.. and all those terms mean something -- if you take the time to read it...duh.  I have always admitted that I, personally watch too much TV -- but what if we all used half of that time to study the Bible, but prayed hard right before for the Holy Spirit to help us understand the true meaning ??  After all, dear friends, the Bible IS written pretty much on a 5th grade level.

Hey, guys and gals,  I need lots of good friends and encouragement too!  Why not leave a comment or email Old Soldier Tom, and share lives or concerns or just visit, please?  Too busy, you say.  Well, if you think you are too busy to visit now -- just wait until AFTER the Rapture, when you are scratching like a chicken just to survive... and you wish a gallon of gas was  still $4.09, instead of $5 or $6/ gallon !

Have a great day!

Warm Regards,
Tommy S

October Surprise: Israel said to be readying October attacks on Iranian nuclear sites

BY:
August 7, 2012 5:00 am

U.S. intelligence analysts watching for indicators of Israeli military action recently reported that there are signs the Jewish state plans an attack against Iran in October.

The Obama administration, meanwhile, is preparing to provide logistical support for a military strike but is pressing Israel to delay any action until the administration’s policy of sanctions have had more time to work, and that any attack would be put off until after the November presidential election.

U.S. opposition to any pre-election strike was discussed during the recent visit to Israel by White House National Security Adviser Thomas Donilon and a later visit by Defense Secretary Leon Panetta, according to U.S. officials.

Panetta signaled possible U.S. military options for an Iran contingency during his press conference in Tel Aviv with Israeli Defense Minister Ehud Barak Aug. 1. Panetta said the United States and Israel are united in seeking to prevent Iran from ever having nuclear arms.

“We have been steadily applying more and more pressure against Tehran, focusing on diplomatic and economic sanctions, and I believe these steps are having an effect,” Panetta said.

He then added: “It’s my responsibility as secretary of defense to provide the president with a full range of options, including military options, should diplomacy fail. President Obama has made clear that preventing a nuclear-armed Iran is a top national security priority by the United States and that all options — all options — are on the table.”

Any Israeli military attack is expected to be carried out with little or no warning, which has meant stepped up monitoring of Israel by U.S. intelligence agencies for all indicators of an impending attack.

Ehud Barak, the Israeli defense minister, made a significant statement on Israel’s plans on July 25. Barak said during a graduation ceremony that if sanctions fail to halt Tehran’s nuclear program, an attack would be needed.

“I am well aware of the difficulties involved in thwarting Iran’s attempts to acquire a nuclear weapon,” Barak was quoted as saying by Israel’s Ynet news agency.

“However, it is clear to me that without a doubt, dealing with the threat itself will be far more complicated, far more dangerous and far more costly in resources and human life,” he said, referring to a future nuclear-armed Iran.

Barak also said that sanctions and other diplomatic steps “are not enough to stop Iran’s nuclear program.”
U.S. officials said both Donilon and Panetta urged the Israelis to give sanctions a chance to work. New sanctions were imposed on Iranian financial institutions last week.

But the sanctions contain loopholes that critics say will limit their effect in influencing Iran’s Islamist regime from coming into compliance with international controls on its nuclear program.

The International Atomic Energy Agency, contradicting standard U.S. intelligence analysis, stated recently that there are signs Iran engaged in nuclear arms development past 2003, when U.S. agencies said such work halted.

Some Israeli military leaders are said to be raising new concerns that Iran is positioning its forces for asymmetric counterattacks, specifically a new aggressive naval strategy of shutting down western oil supplies. Evidence of the new strategy was the recent dispatch of Iranian warships to the Mediterranean for the first time since 1979. The warships could be used to threaten shipping through the Red Sea and followed threats by Iranian officials to close the strategic Strait of Hormuz, through which a major portion of the world’s oil passes.

Standing up for the Truth.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

I hope that I am not taking any liberties, or jumping the gun, but I felt great need in re-posting a message from FB from my old pastor, Jerry Beaver, who moved to New Mexico to pastor there, and who drafted a fine statement of hope and love -- above all, taking a courageous STAND on the true sexuality of humans-- amid an unrighteous, wicked, fallen world, owned by STD [Satan].  And as for various 'pastors' this will 'separate the men from the boys' and go on record before men and God.

Pray that Pastor Jerry Beaver, and his family, are thriving and doing well in every way.  PTL.

Cordially,
Tommy S

Disabled Vietnam Veteran: 68-70
Retired Chrysler worker:  30.5 years of hard work, [but some play-- love MOTORCYCLES, and ROTTWEILERS!].  All praise to our Lord and Master, Jesus Christ.

Met with several pastors from the area this week. I was chosen to draft a half page article for the paper. Then some local pastors attached their names to it and their churches stand on the issue of human sexuality. I am glad TBC bylaws are very clear on the issue. I was impressed with some pastors who I thought to be more liberal took a stand for the issue. I was unimpressed with some pastors with churches that claim to stand for truth, but the pastors wanted to remain silent on this issue. Here is the ad that will run. A Message of Hope and Healing from Local Pastors

In response to the upcoming Roswell Pride event on Saturday August 11th, at the Hope Amphitheater, some pastors and clergy of Roswell, NM felt the need to define our Biblical position concerning human sexuality. God created humanity for His glory (Genesis 1:26, 2:7), God gave sexuality and marriage as a means of companionship, procreation, and an incubator for the family. God gave definitive roles to men and women that are to be preserved. We believe that God has commanded that no sexual activity should be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman, therefore, anything outside these boundaries is considered sinful from Gods Word. (Gen. 2:24; Gen. 19:5-7,13; Lev. 18:1-30; Rom. 1:26-29; I Cor. 5:1; 6:9; I Thess. 4:1-8; Heb. 13:4).
With the spirit of love for Christ and people, we promote the message of hope and healing through Jesus Christ’s death, burial, and resurrection for the forgiveness and power over sin. Our message is not a message of hate, but of truth and love. We believe that there is power over sinful conduct, through Christ, for those who will seek it.
We will meet together on Saturday morning at 10:00am at the Wool Bowl parking lot and pray for the souls of those in bondage to this unbiblical lifestyle. It is our desire that those who do go out in opposition at this event will do so with courage and a Christ-like spirit, standing firm for the faith that was once delivered to the saints. Just like the Biblical account of the woman who was taken in the act of adultery, we do not cast stones, but we stand for God’s truth, which was Jesus’ message to this woman in John 8:11, “. . . go, and sin no more.”
The theme of this pride event is “Hate is easy, but love takes courage.”Our response to that is we believe it takes courage for Christians to give out the truth in love: “But speaking the truth in love. . .” (Ephesians 4:15) “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32)

    • Tom Schuckman Hello Pastor Beaver, I think your draft was very well built on solid Scripture [as always] and well thought out -- with love and balance. Please allow me to post this on my humble Blog, so that others may benefit: TOM'S JOURNAL. Please be advised: I re-married, to a beautiful Christian lady, and now live in Iron Mountain, MI 49801-- and trying to sell my humble hovel in U.G.- WI.... please pray for God to help me do the right thing.
