DAMASCUS --nugget.

Isaiah 17 has stuff to say about Damascus too !

We [and I] have to keep reminding ourselves that 'Satan is like a roaring lion seeking to devour us' --  keeping us off guard, super busy, over occupied with our own individual misery and discomfort, etc.   But God is IN CONTROL, and the evil men and angels' days are numbered!

    Biblical Nugget on Damascus

    By Walid Shoebat
Note: We have received several requests asking about what the latest developments in Syria might mean from a Biblical perspective. So, here are some of my thoughts.
We can sense the beginning signs for the fulfillment of Isaiah 17’s destruction of Damascus when we witness the embryo forming with the influx of refugees from Syria to Jordan as predicted by the prophet Amos:
“I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.” (Amos 1:5)

And it is here that we find the amazing precision of Bible prophecy; Aven is Damascus today and Damascus is also literally mentioned here by name. Syrians are leaving by the droves into Jordan and precisely “unto Kir” which is Kir-Moab (Isaiah 15:1). Today that region is called Kerak (see Gesenius Lexicon).
When we review both the ancient map and the statistics of the recent influx of Syrian refugees into Jordan we find that over a half million Syrians already fled to “the borders of the land of Moab now called Kerrek.” [Karak]

Walid, not only are yours and Theodore’s posts the first to accurately reveal and report about the politically breaking news involving the Middle East, you are also leading the way far and above many Christian pastors in America by bringing attention to the unfolding of prophetic events as written in the Bible. America’s politicians need to heed your discernment and understanding of what is really going on in the Middle East and America’s pastors need to wake up and prepare their congregations for the perilous times that this world is going to go through. People need to know that it is time to reflect on what their own eternal future will be “after the dust settles”. Keep up the good work.

So Obama is merely doing the Lord’s work.
