Effects of Cola on Your Body !

The Effects of Cola on Your Body After One Hour

cola is the world's most popular soft drink, with about 1.7 billion serving of cola products consumed every day. Although the drink is popular, and seemingly refreshing, its effects on your health may be serious and in many respects non-reversible. Here's what happens to your body when you drink an ice cold glass of cola.
coca cola

Let's being with the ingredients of cola. One can of cola has about 10 teaspoons of sugar, 150 calories, 30-55 milligrams of caffeine and is loaded with harmful artificial flavors and coloring. The major culprit in the cola ingredient list, however, is high-fructose corn syrup, and we'll tell you why.

High fructose corn syrup is derived from fructose, a cheaper sweetener made from corn. The harmful thing about fructose is not only its high sugar content, which has been linked with diabetes and a number of other liver problems, but its effect on your metabolic rate, meaning the pace at which you absorb and digest food. So although you may think that a can of cola will help you better digest the food you are eating, it may actually inhibit your digestive process. Of course, this amount of sugar has other effects on your health, so it is best to shy completely away from high fructose corn syrup!

cola also contains phosphoric acid. Acid is, of course, the last thing that we want to be putting in our bodies because it harms the body's ability to use calcium and can lead to a softening of teeth and bones, and eventually osteoporosis.

So what happens in your body after you drink a glass of cola...

In the first 10 minutes:
The 10 teaspoons of sugar in the can of cola begin to hit your body. This is actually the total daily amount of sugar you are meant to consume, so you would imagine that your body needs to prepare itself. You don't immediately vomit from the overwhelming sweetness because the phosphoric acid cuts the flavor and allows you to keep it down.

After 20 minutes:
Your blood sugar levels begin to spike, causing an insulin burst. Your liver responds to this by turning any sugar it can get its hands on into fat, and there's plenty of sugar at that particular moment.

After 40 minutes:
Your body has completely absorbed all of the caffeine. Your pupils begin to dilate, your blood pressure rises, and as a response your liver dumps even more sugar into your bloodstream.

After 45 minutes: Your body ups is dopamine production that stimulates the pleasure centers of your brain. This is actually the same way that heroine works!

After about 60 minutes: The phosphoric acid binds calcium, magnesium and zinc in your lower intestine, giving a momentary boost to your metabolism. Also, the caffeine's diuretic properties come into play, making you feel the need to relieve yourself.

Finally, once all of these processes stop and the cola has seemingly passed through your system, you will experience a sugar crash. This may make you irritable or sluggish, and maybe leave you feeling thirsty as you have already gotten rid of all of the water in the cola.  At this point, you will probably reach for your next cola and then it's back to the beginning.

So before you reach for your next can of cola remember that one moment of refreshing taste has a long list of consequences that can have serious effects on your health.

You may have already seen this but it is reality!   how did this goon ever get where he is and been left there???
You need to see this if you have not already !!! AND THIS FOLKS IS THE SO CALLED PRESIDENT OF AMERICA??!!
Remember when we were told to watch Fox News on a Sunday night that

anything! Well, read below and click on the video to see why it got pulled
 before it could air.
Now we know why Fox News never broadcast it as they had originally
planned to. This piece was pulled.  I encourage you to please send this to
everyone on your email list ASAP.  Remember all the notices we kept getting
to watch Fox News on Sunday at 9PM? What Happened? This is the clip that
got pulled due to pressure from the Administration. Obama Puts Heat on Fox
News to Prevent Sean Hannity from airing this piece. This is a video that Sean
Hannity of FOX News has been trying to show that we are told has consistently
been blocked by the Obama Administration for several weeks. It was a matter
of time until the internet picked it up. Watch it now before it gets pulled from
 the internet!
Forward to as many as you can!

"Trust in the Lord..." Never Suicide!

Tom's Journal.

Hi Friends,  Readers, and fellow Soldier of Christ,

When if the pastor is too busy to answer a question, and all week long he had to assist in pouring cement at church, in the parking lot, so people would not drive in a dangerous area, etc., and that is his personal stock and trade: brick layer and concrete....  just like the apostle Paul was a 'tent maker' who earned his own way, instead of depending on fellow Christians to provide for his food, shelter and clothing.   Unlike some 'preachers' having riches enough to have an air conditioned dog house, for their pets, etc.

Anyway,  I have in the past posted stuff about a very serious nature,  depression, suicide, Combat  PTSD, etc.,  because,  IF WE COMBAT VETERANS DON'T HELP OUR SELVES...  WHO WILL ? ? ?   My humble Blog:  TOM'S JOURNAL, is supposed to be a "Christian based, HELP  BLOG, geared to reaching out to help others, primarily Combat Veterans, in need of getting the true literature, books, the KJV Bible, especially,  that teaches OSAS [Once Saved--  Always Saved], and many other important, useful Truths.   And If I cannot find the answer right off the top of my head,  I know HOW to HUNT for it, so as not to let my fellow human beings, and friends just lay there in hurt and agony.    I well know that mental/ emotional anguish can be just as debilitating as PHYSICAL pain, and how the disabled fighting man will seek to grab at many things to ease the PAIN... and that is called, "Medicating."   I have also studied healing Herbs for the past 40 years, and they have helped me and many others.... but "BIG PHARMA" hates natural, home remedies, and folk medicine,  because they cannot make any money on herbal relief !!!  Big Pharma, the AMA, FDA, and the Gov't are all in bed with each other... all chasing that Dollar $$$ -- but NOT TO WORRY, BECAUSE GOD WILL JUDGE THEM ALL, AND SOON !!
The Army taught us to be resourceful, creative, to adapt, overcome obstacles, improvise, and WIN the fight, or die trying !!  College taught us WHERE AND HOW TO LOOK, LOCATE, and thereby learn!!

There were a few times in my life where I sunk so far into depression, just fell thru the cracks, to hit rock bottom, and was also injured critically with unbearable PAIN and SUFFERING, and the VA staff at Milwaukee VAMC would not stop to help me, but actually made things WORSE for me, so that I wished I was DEAD !!!   I KNOW THAT IS A BAD THING, and still have trouble NOT carrying a grudge toward those bad people, who were certainly NOT Christians.   I learned to be more self sufficient, a survivor, but I also learned to depend on God.
I was recently asked a serious, important question from a dear friend, and I will follow thru this time if it kills me, to satisfy his question, and know the real deal, although it may not be white or black, set in stone, YES, OR NO.  So far,  this is my take on the question of Suicide:    Folks,  When I suggest, ask, or tell "New/ Young Christians" to please  read the 2 books, John, and Romans, it's for an important reason !!   The most important thing in their lives is to get SAVED, and start following the life and commands of JESUS CHRIST.   "SAVED" means that a human being locks on to the Gospel of Jesus, understands and knows where to find the scriptures proving that all those who are Saved WILL have everlasting life in heaven with Him, for sure, when we die, or get Raptured !   Period.   Because, that is the Truth of the KJV  Bible!
Please find your own copy of the Bible and turn to the book of ROMANS, Chapter 8, and just read the entire short Chapter.   The part called:  The believer secure.   Reading at verse 35 ---38, we can see that "NOTHING  can ever separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord."   So the rule of OSAS, is set in motion.   BUT, still, it is a bad sin to take one's own life !!

verse 35:   "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?   shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?   36.  As it is written,  for they sake we are killed all the day long;  we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.  37.  Nay, in all these things we more than conquerors through  him that loved us.   38.    For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God,  which is in Christ Jesus, our Lord."   So, friends, it is that nasty, old, STD [Satan the Devil], who is trying hard to tear us away from God!!  He knows almost every trick in the book, that he has used for the past 6000 years, and yes, I got the Math correct !   Now, I urge all of my followers of this humble, imperfect blog, to please re-read, John, and ROMANS to put it all into perspective, and group it all together, please.....   and I will do the same, with my wife, IF she can sit still for it.  One simple hour of bible study is not so hard!!  Turn OFF that stupid TV, radio, music, and worthless chatter, please, get comfortable, with  your cold drink, and open that BOOK !!  Develop the discipline--- that is something GOOD, and useful.  And then get back to me via Blog Comment area, and post your comments.
Nothing is written in stone,  but I have made my mind up, that I will NEVER talk my life, ever.  That belongs to Christ!   Ask yourself:  "Would a Soldier in Christ's Army ever take his life ??"   The answer is "NO !"   Trust in the Lord..." --- Proverbs 3: 5.

Warm Regards,
Tom Schuckman

What is the Christian view of suicide? What does the Bible say about suicide?

Christian suicide, Bible suicide
Question: "What is the Christian view of suicide? What does the Bible say about suicide?"

The Bible mentions six specific people who committed suicide: Abimelech (Judges 9:54), Saul (1 Samuel 31:4), Saul’s armor-bearer (1 Samuel 31:4–6), Ahithophel (2 Samuel 17:23), Zimri (1 Kings 16:18), and Judas (Matthew 27:5). Five of these men were noted for their wickedness (the exception is Saul’s armor-bearer—nothing is said of his character). Some consider Samson’s death an instance of suicide, because he knew his actions would lead to his death (Judges 16:26–31), but Samson’s goal was to kill Philistines, not himself.

The Bible views suicide as equal to murder, which is what it is—self-murder. God is the only one who is to decide when and how a person should die. We should say with the psalmist, “My times are in your hands” (Psalm 31:15).

God is the giver of life. He gives, and He takes away (Job 1:21). Suicide, the taking of one’s own life, is ungodly because it rejects God’s gift of life. No man or woman should presume to take God’s authority upon themselves to end his or her own life.

Some people in Scripture felt deep despair in life. Solomon, in his pursuit of pleasure, reached the point where he “hated life” (Ecclesiastes 2:17). Elijah was fearful and depressed and yearned for death (1 Kings 19:4). Jonah was so angry at God that he wished to die (Jonah 4:8). Even the apostle Paul and his missionary companions at one point “were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself” (2 Corinthians 1:8).

However, none of these men committed suicide. Solomon learned to “fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the duty of all mankind” (Ecclesiastes 12:13). Elijah was comforted by an angel, allowed to rest, and given a new commission. Jonah received admonition and rebuke from God. Paul learned that, although the pressure he faced was beyond his ability to endure, the Lord can bear all things: “This happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead” (2 Corinthians 1:9).

So, according to the Bible, suicide is a sin. It is not the “greatest” sin—it is no worse than other evils, in terms of how God sees it, and it does not determine whether or not a person goes to hell. However, suicide definitely has a deep and lasting impact on those left behind. The painful scars left by a suicide do not heal easily. May God grant His grace to each one who is facing trials today (Psalm 67:1). And may each of us take hope in the promise, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13).
