The Book of Daniel--most important prophectic book.

I am always struck and awed by the pure simplicity of true Salvation from the death of Jesus Christ,  Actually, the more 'educated' people are in the Liberal Colleges these days, the harder it becomes, IMHO, for them to accept the simple Truth, and easy access to total Salvation as  a FREE GIFT from God ! !   That pure fact almost stumbled me too, after I exited that false church of the 'poisoned mind; -- the JW cult !  They teach a shadowy salvation IF their followers follow the rules and regs of the Watch Tower Society Governing Body, or old power hungry men, and have their own translation of the Bible which they messed up and truncated.   Shame.   I was far from perfect back then, and STILL AM, yet I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT I AM SAVED and going to heaven....  because I have put all my Faith and Trust in the all encompassing ransom sacrifice of my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ !!   Hal Lindsey always puts things into prospective, so that it's all so logical.  I try to use similar speech and thought patterns to aid me in my small, rural ministry of sharing the Gospel with everyone I meet, when possible.   No one has ever tried to shoot or stab me for doing this,  so far... lol.

But just read the News every day and find out that the 'President' insults and condemns Christianity, when ever he has the chance....  WE are under attack right now, dear friends and fellow Believers !  I also want to memorize Psalm 34: 19, 'that God knows how to deliver His servants !'  Please MAKE the time to read the short presentation below, friends.   I found it very  informative and very interesting.

I kept my doctor and pre-Lab 'read:  blood draw,' early this morning at the Iron Mtn., MI., VAMC  [Veterans' Administration Medical Center] in the cold Artic Air U.P. here at 0730, and all my blood work looked good at the kind, doctor went over it all with me later.   He was concerned about the open ulcer on my Left ankle and suggested some X-rays and more treatment, etc.,  but I am not too worried.   So, now, I don't have to see him for the next 6 months, and I feel very good about that.    I just wanted to say that ALL the nurses and staff were very kind and friendly to me today,  with "Good Mornings and Smiles" and that made me feel good inside !    Smiles and professional courtesy on a blustery Winter day in Feb....  Yes!

I want to share something good that my dear, pretty wife, Terri shared with me a year ago or so:   A NON-addictive, simple, medicine that really helps my Arthritis, big time:  Diclofenac NA 75 MG EC Tab,  that are NOT narcotic !!  But you need to take in some food with them because they might upset your stomach.  If you suffer from bad arthritis, go see if your doctor will help you with this NON--   NARCOTIC  medicine.      NO- Narcotics in these tablets, so don't even think of knocking on my door, or our Rottweiler  male will EAT you !  I am only trying to help my friends gain some relief from all their ARTHRITIS PAIN.   You combat Veterans, especially.    Maybe I was wrong to even post this stuff.   What do you think ??    I also treat myself from long years of study, or healing Herbs and vitamins.

Warm Regards,
Tom

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'
Unavoidable transportation delays interrupted our network delivery schedules this week. So once again I'll discuss how the steadfast faithfulness of Daniel provided the perfect picture of the certainty of God's Word.

The book of Daniel is the most important prophetic book in the Bible, even more so than the Book of Revelation. This week, however, I will focus, not on the prophecies of Daniel, but on the man and his character. It's an especially timely study in a world charging headlong into a new dark age.

Daniel lived one of the most remarkable lives in the history of the world. Even as a teenager, he changed the course of history. But in the story I want to examine this week, many years have gone by. The Medes and Persians had defeated the Babylonians and taken their empire. Darius now ruled. For about twenty years following the death of King Nebuchadnezzar, it had seemed like Daniel's career was over. But as happened to him so often, he quickly rose through the ranks again.

After becoming one of the most important figures in the empire, Daniel's integrity and the king's confidence in him ignited the jealousy of his peers. But the only way they could eliminate him was by concocting a plan that depended on his faithfulness to his God.

As the world grows darker, God can and will prosper and care for His people, but don't expect everything to be easy. The psalmist wrote, "Many are the afflictions of the righteous." But he doesn't stop there. He goes on to affirm, "But the Lord delivers him out of them all." (Psalm 34:19, NASB)

Daniel is testimony to that promise. He made the decision to honor his convictions rather than obey the dictates of the state. By doing so, he assured himself of a terrible fate. He was thrown to the hungry lions.

And his friend, King Darius, trapped by the power of his own words, was helpless to intervene.

It's interesting to note that because the law of the Medes and Persians, once signed and confirmed by the king, was unalterable, King Darius found himself facing a dim reflection of the dilemma God Himself once faced when Adam and Eve chose death over life with Him. He loved them but had given His word that sin always carries a death sentence. And God's word is infinitely more certain than the law of the Medes and Persians.

So in His infinite wisdom, God devised a way for His love to deliver sinners from His wrath while not compromising His righteousness and justice. Jesus Christ took upon Himself a human nature, lived as a true man, and never once sinned. He therefore qualified to voluntarily take upon Himself the penalty and punishment for our sins. He died in our place and secured a true forgiveness for each one who will receive it as a gift. Salvation cannot be given if any human merit is attached to it. Salvation is an absolute gift.

Tune in this week as I examine how the intractability of the Law of the Medes and Persians and Daniel's faith in his God led to a national revival of faith in the one true God.
