Hi Friends,
I don't know if I care for the term, "Prepper" as much as the Old Boy Scout motto:  "Be Prepared," and yes I was a Boy Scout while I lived in the big city of Milwaukee, WI., and when my parents bought our farm, we became active in the 4-H Club.   But my Dad served in WW-2, Navy, and was raised on a Kansas farm too, so he knew a lot about surviving and storing up food for the Winter too.     My brother, Albert, heats his house with nothing but wood, and is also a good hunter/ fisherman/ certified welder.
And before I go any farther, let me say that most of the time --- buying QUALITY stuff from quality, honest, respectable people, is your best bet...  but we all have to have the right priorities and use common sense as to what we can afford.  Monster Flashlights.com  ---is a very fine, QUALITY company that has some great products that will 'light up the night' big time, type flashlights,  but they are pricy.   Again,  you get what you pay for.   I own a few, and the batteries are rechargeable.
I hope I will not get into trouble by passing along the following info from a great web site that I like and subscribe to,  but for the sake of my closer friends and relatives,  I felt that I really needed to/ wanted to, share this info with others.  Forgive me if I am in error, folks.
Friends,  sometimes I land in sort of a 'grey area' where the Scriptures just don not tell me if something is totally right or wrong,  but if we KNOW the mind of God, according to His entire Word of 66 books in the KJV Bible, at least we can get a "feeling" for things with our human, God-given sense and reasoning abilities.    I have endeavored to be a "Word Smith" for most of my life, for several reasons,  but I always wanted to have the right/ correct word/ term for the right moment.   I am also a well trained, professional public speaker, and the Marketing arm of PFS Investments helped me develop this skill along with school, reading books, etc.   Some of us are just gifted in this area,  but most folks can surely improve with proper tutoring and practice, IMHO.
OK....  Now we know that the Rapture COULD COME AT ANY TIME NOW... as all prophecies have already been fulfilled.   But,  we could all still see some nasty, really hard times befall us all even THIS YEAR with possible war, currency and financial melt down, drought in the USA and many other places, prices of food and other goods going up rapidly, etc.    I try to explain to many people including those very close to me that:   'We buy auto insurance, house, Life Insurance, hoping that we will never need it.   We have fire alarms, fire extinguishers, locks on the doors, cars, autos, trucks, and fences, gates, plus a fire departments, police and other Emergency Squads set in place, for  good reason.   We cannot protect ourselves from everything harmful --- but we can do what is commonly thought to be prepared and defensive.   Even the Bible talks about putting some silver and gold  [money $$$] aside for such emergencies!    My past wife that I loved so much died of CHF [Congestive heart failure] about 6 years ago, and she was so 'messed up/ sick for such a long time even before I knew her, that she was "uninsurable" so we had NO Life Insurance for her, and the funeral place just 'socked it to me' $$$$ in Union Grove, WI !!   I learned from that.   Her son, graciously helped me $$ with the funeral, etc., but it still took a long time for me to pay for all of that [funeral expenses, etc ]--- but it had to be done.   So I have make prior arraignments to 'take care of my present wife,'  Terri, in case something should happen to me.    I am just saying that we really need to plan ahead to a certain extent.    But that's my private affair, and enough said.     We will still trust in the Lord, not to worry,  but common sense is smart sense.
Well, Folks,  I hope you know where I am going with all of this, dear friends and readers.   Some other religious cults have pushed their falsehoods onto their followers so that those folks thought they should sell their houses and forget taking care of their medical/ dental stuff...  and then many years since 1975 have passed, that folks like that are in hard times now and found wanting !!   Real Christians ought to be more grounded and sensible than that, while still shining a "Light in the Darkness" and sharing the Gospel all over the world !   Still, I have had many people making fun of me and pointing me out to be some kind of  strange old man with a tin foil hat on...  lol.     But, for the most part,  I am satisfied with 'whom I am, and what I am.'   I have explained a few times to Terri's kids, that "in case, for some reason we just disappear into thin air"  they can find important things here and there, and that they should try to understand all I have been telling them about the RAPTURE, and what to do if they find themselves in that circumstances.   So far they just laugh at me...  But that's part of the territory -- of being a Christian.  People laughed and made fun of Noah too--  because it had never rained before in Earth's history, and why was he building the ARK ??   But Noah was the great ancestor of Jesus Christ, and just check that out at Luke, chapter 3.     I also still think that it's a smart idea to invest in PM's [Precious Metals--gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and even some copper rounds] and know of a great, well know, HONEST, fair, PM- company...  just ask me. about MMX.].   Beware!  The low, cheap prices we have now day, 5-30-15, will NOT stay that way for long.  Invest now!  And do NOT tell any other human on Earth...  because:  "Loose lips -- sink ships."   And NEVER, EVER STORE YOUR PM's AT ANY BANK OR CREDIT UNION, or you WILL lose it !  Crap like that may just happen before the New Year gets here.
But you cannot eat gold or silver, so you also need, IMHO,  some canned and frozen food, and pure drinking water, plus some toilet paper, candles and batteries.   That's just my humble opinion, friends, and you all do what YOU think is best,  but continue to read and study the KJV Bible, and stay close to God.
Tell me if you agree, and if you think this article has merit, please.   Have a great day.

By the way, friends and readers,  If you or some one you know is trapped in one of those terrible religious cults,  here is a special contact number that will help you, as it did me, so many years ago:   Midwest Christian Outreach, Inc.   Phone:  630-627-9028.  Email:  info@midwestoutreach.org    ---Please share this with everyone you know, please.   Thanks !

lights-out-th lights-out
This series is dedicated to Ben Raines, one of SHTF’s readers, who wrote:
“If the power is out for more than 2 weeks I will have some serious decisions to make.”
Ben, I’m doing this article for you as I promised, and I hope it will help you (and others) to make those decisions in the critical moments and days following an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) event.  Although I had plenty of science courses in college, I am not a scientist.  Certainly someone with a scientific background will comment on this article.  Let me state this:  Scientists, I welcome all comments, positive or negative, but please make them proactive.  These articles are forums where the writers are “emcees” that introduce topics for discussion and present some salient points.  You guys and gals are the ones who pick up the topics and run the football in for the TD.
We need to be “SME’s” as we called them in the Army: Subject Matter Experts.  One of my personal goals for SHTF is not just to draw a large readership base; it is to help readers develop themselves and also develop one another.  Let the site become an ORP (objective rally point) where everyone can plan, exchange ideas, and attain better levels of awareness and preparation for the times to come.  In this light, there is a lot of knowledge out there awaiting use.  Take the knowledge you amass, step up to the plate, and take the swing: do the best you can with what you have.  And if it isn’t perfect, so what?  You give it your best shot and then adjust fire from there.
So here it is.  Scenario 1 finds you on your way to work.  You just dropped the kids off to school and you’re out on the freeway heading toward work at 8:05 am, armed with a cup of coffee and your local radio station.  All of a sudden the radio crackles and all of the power in your vehicle cuts off and you drift (hopefully safely!) to a halt.  You do a head check: all of your fellow commuters on the road are experiencing the same problem, except one guy in a ’54 Ford pickup truck who passes right by you.  You look at your wristwatch and it is blank.  Your cell phone is off, and out.  You notice a traffic light ahead of you is out, and the convenience store and its sign on the corner are devoid of lights.  Somewhere in the heart of the American Midwest, about 200 miles above the ground, an ICBM just went off and delivered an EMP to the U.S.
This article and the series are going to focus on some basic things we can do to help us prepare beforehand for such a scenario.  Almost all of the readers here knows about what an EMP is and some basics about it.  We are not going to delve into all of the properties of the EMP.  For those who haven’t heard of it, an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) is a high-density electrical field that can damage or destroy electronic devices.  EMP can affect cars and trucks, computers, electrical appliances, aircraft, power transmission grids, and anything unshielded from it.  This can be delivered by a missile or a satellite and would have devastating effects on the U.S. power grid and infrastructure, as mentioned in this citation:
Report of the Commission to Assess the Threat to the United States from Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) Attack, CRITICAL NATIONAL INFRASTRUCTURES, April 2008: Page 45: “It is not practical to try to protect the entire electrical power system or even all high value components from damage by an EMP event. There are too many components of too many different types, manufactures, ages, and designs. The cost and time would be prohibitive. Widespread collapse of the electrical power system in the area affected by EMP is virtually inevitable after a broad geographic EMP attack …”
Readers, I think you grasp the concept.  Now let’s discuss what we can do about it.  The first thing I propose to you:
“Low tech” your supplies as much as possible as your “base.”
Rely on your basics that do not rely upon electricity or technology.  I have mentioned some items in previous articles that we’re going to stress here, as it is all interrelated.  This list is neither in order nor exhaustive:
  1. Lensatic Compass: good old-fashioned GI equipment; durable, reliable, and affordable.  If you must carry your wrist compass (electronic), make sure your Lensatic is available for backup, and make sure you know how to use it.
  2. Hand-crank flashlight: has its own little generator and doesn’t rely on batteries
  3. A Good Automatic Movement Watch: You need to keep time and coordinate things with your family after the event.  You’ll have to really shop and find one with a good warranty.
  4. Slide Rule: Yes, you may find the need to make complex calculations in a hurry.  The “Uncle Caveman” abacus just won’t do the trick on some things.  Pick up a slide rule and go online or find references on how to use it.
  5. Optics not requiring batteries: Those rangefinders and Steiners just lost their tech, and that wonderful laser crosshair reticle with range-tab vanished.  Any scope for a weapon needs to not be dependent on any batteries, electronic optics, or laser devices.
  6. Security devices: In this case, locks, safes (guns, valuables, etc), automobiles (touch pad entry), and anything requiring electricity or electronics to enter…make ‘em manual.  What good is a gun safe that works electronically and then you have to blow the door to retrieve the weapons?
  7. Vehicles: How high-tech is your vehicle?  The ’54 Ford truck in the example will probably still be good to go; however, the Lamborghini may have just become a lawn ornament in memoriam.  We’ll cover more on this later.
  8. Well Water: The water pump isn’t going to work unless you have a genny, and even then it may not.  What do you do?  I ordered a kit from a guy name John Tatman: the EZ Water Well Hand Pump that has a special valve he supplies you and you build the pump out of PVC.  The guy is great; he lets you talk to him directly on his cell phone if you have a problem.  The kit works to wells up to 175 feet deep, at 4-5 gallons per minute; you can order it online.  The whole kit and kaboodle will run you less than $250.
  9. Food: Yes, food.  How are you going to save what is in the fridge?  Prepare by having adequate supplies of charcoal and a couple of grills (I recommend a Brinkman).  Also, now is the time for canning supplies.  Pick up a green two-burner Coleman camp stove that works on dual fuel (Coleman/white gas, and gasoline).  You can use this to fire up the pressure canners and water-bath canners at a controlled rate[Note: If you want to read about a “mad scramble” with food, go to Tess Pennington’s Ready Nutrition site and find my articles on how my wife and I made it through Hurricane Katrina]  I strongly recommend visiting your local County Extension Office or the local Community College for a Canning Course.
An Additional note on food:  Keeping in the fridge only what is necessary for about a week and putting the lion’s share into canned food, dry goods, or long shelf-life (dehydrated, mylar packed) foods is probably your best bet to safeguard your food supply in the long haul.  Make sure to FIFO (first in, first out) your stock to keep the freshest/most recent purchases in storage.
  1. The Bathroom: Yes, #1 and #2, always there! I highly recommend (if you don’t already compost) at the bare minimum a portable potty of the type that many seniors and those with health issues utilize.  There are 4-gallon bags available in a roll in Wal-Mart for the bucket liner that are about $3.50 and have 75 bags to a roll.  They last about a week.  When all is said and done, you can do a controlled burn of them and save your water supplies/space in your septic tank.
We have covered a short list of what you need for low-tech equipment starters.  But what about what you already have?  How do you protect your gadgets and gizmos from the EMP?  In the reference section at the end of this article, I have cited some works that will give you more EMP information and a site that you can research to find more information on Faraday Cages, which most of you guys and gals have heard about already.  But just in case: What is the Faraday Cage?  It is a device enabling objects stored within its confines to be shielded from EMP and other types of charges.  The scientist Michael Faraday expostulated its theorems back in 1836.
Copper and aluminum are the two best metals (in order) to use for your cage structures; however, steel will work.  The main point is you must have a little background knowledge of what is needed.  Maxwell’s equations relevant to a conductor are relevant here.  The efflux (the waves: radio, gamma, etc) originating with an EMP is a broad-banded grouping.  Regarding Maxwell’s equation:  Any resident excess charge whether fixed or time-varying must reside on the conductor’s effective surface; an excess disturbance would flow around a continuous conductor’s surface from one end to the other.  The interior of such a conductor would not experience this flux.
The equation shows that a solid object that can be closed off (such as an ammo can or a metal trash can with tight fitting lid) without gaps can be effectively employed for a Faraday cage.  This also illustrates how a grounding rod would not be needed if the gaps are closed off correctly (or if you are going to enmesh a whole room/structure and the wavelengths are not smaller than the apertures). As I mentioned previously, I’m not a scientist; however, the information is out there and there is no need to “reinvent the wheel.”
There is a rule that I use for myself.  You will have to gauge your budget and availability of equipment to see if you can apply it for your situation.  Here it is:
Rule:  Any electronic equipment should be bought in pairs/two (2) of each, with one out for use and a second in a Faraday Cage.
This may seem a “no brainer,” however, this insures that if you lose something?  You may only lose one and have a backup for later.  In addition, if there’s time to forsee it coming, you may be able to take that operational piece and stick that in a cage prior to it hitting the fan.  Here are a list of indispensibles and important items, non-exhaustive, for the cages:
Radiological Survey Meter, a.k.a. Geiger counter
Night vision devices
Scopes/red-dot sights/laser sights/electronic optics/range finders
Laptop computer (worth its weight in gold post-event)
Motorolas and hand-held communication devices
Batteries and chargers (solar and/or plug in’s)
Battery-powered IR/movement sensors
Calculators/wristwatches/battery testers…small electronic aids
***ANY medical device to maintain or sustain life (diabetes testers, hearing aids, etc)
Win the game with your backups.  Stick them in cages and forget about them until you need them.  We’re going to cover cages and other protective measures in Part 2.  This will get you started, especially regarding your planning.  Assess your stance and what is in place right now.  What do you and your family require in terms of specialty gear?  Do your research and find out about EMP’s and begin to formulate a plan.  I wholeheartedly welcome any and all discussion on this topic and look forward to reading your comments.  Seriously, we have some real experts out there, and those comments are a gold mine for everyone (yours truly included).
Everyone have a great day and I’ll have Part 2 ready for you soon.

Protect Yourself Against The EMP Threat: The Faraday Cage

ep_9_feat
A Faraday Cage (or Faraday Shield) is a sealed enclosure that has an electrically conductive outer layer. It can come in the form of a box, a cylinder, or any other closed shape. The material from which the container is built can have conductive properties or not. This doesn’t really matter that much, since the entire box will be wrapped in a conductive material (such as aluminum foil).
Basically, this is how a Faraday cage works:
  1. The conductive layer reflects incoming fields.
  2. The conductor absorbs incoming energy.
  3. The cage acts to create opposing fields.
All of these principles work together to safeguard the electronics inside from excessive field levels.  Although the Faraday cage works better in case of a high-altitude nuclear explosion (aka EMP attack), it’s not bad to have it at your disposal in case of a solar EMP. The solar EMPs do a lot less damage then a nuclear EMP would do, so for that, we are thankful, but as you just read, the CME left a lot of people without electricity so you can never be too careful.

Building Your Own Faraday Cage

Let’s get right to it. You will have a means of protecting your electronics in no time.
This picture actually represents the building steps of a Faraday cage. It’s really THAT easy to build and it’s tested against EMP pulses
Building Your Own Faraday Cage

How Thick Should The Conducting Layer Be?

The skin effect already determined the thickness of the conductive layer before we ever had a chance to do so. The skin effect describes the tendency of the current to flow primarily on the skin of a conductor. As long as the conducting layer is greater than the depth of the skin, it will provide top notch shielding because the absorption loss will be high. So, wrapping a box in a couple of layers of heavy duty aluminum foil (about 24 microns thick) can be a good idea if you want to protect against high-frequency radiated fields.
You don’t have to worry on what type of conductor you’ll use for your cage. The conductivity of nearly any metal will be good enough to allow the carriers to easily realign to cancel the external fields.
Another question that causes confusion when building the Faraday Cage is whether the cage should be grounded or not? Grounding the cage has little to no effect at all on the field levels present inside the box. Grounding only helps the cage to keep it from becoming charged and perhaps re-radiating. Long story short, an ungrounded cage protects the contents from EMF (electromagnetic fields) as well as a grounded one.

I Have a Lot Of Electronics And I Need A Larger Cage!

Faraday Cage Concept Scaled UpIt’s true that in this day and age we all have a lot of devices and electronics that make our life easier from day to day. Storing them might require an entire room. The engineers who work in electromagnetics often use these kinds of rooms to conduct experiments because they filter out interfering signals.
You can make a shield room right at home by using a closet. You’ll need to cover it up with heavy duty aluminum foil on all four walls, the floor, the ceiling and the inside of the door. Make sure that you place a piece of plywood or cardboard on the floor so that you can walk in it without damaging the aluminum foil.
Overlap and tape the seams using cellophane tape as there can be no conductive penetrations into the room. Cover all electrical outlets, light switches, etc with aluminum foil and DO NOT PLUG anything into the electrical outlets.
You should have by now a decent comprehension on what EMP is and what kind of damage it can do to our country. Because we don’t know much about EMP and EMC (research was conducted in other departments which are more likely to cause disasters like atomic bombs and such) it makes the phenomenon the more dangerous

The Lord's Return... don't give up.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/

Hi Friends,
I need encouragement too, especially as I suffer from some combat PTSD, and depression, etc.   Sometimes I feel myself 'wandering off' being home alone so much, and indeed I get too lonely and need more friends just to talk to.  Most of my friends have families and are still working hard.   Perhaps they envy me,  but sometimes I envy them too, albeit I am too disabled to work, and blessed to have a descent pension/ income.   I could complain that the world is such a rat race--- with people so busy just staying alive, and many dying from ISIS while we just spin our wheels and sit on the side lines, until right now when the 'enemy is at the gate.'

From this discussion below,  I find that I am also guilty of wishing that the Rapture was already here and we are taken out of the fray and safe.   Here lies the problem that I wish I could be more mobile to help others find the Lord and Salvation, but I am again, limited, and hamstrung.   I guess I will just pray for some new opportunities to jump at me and take action.

But, again,  here is the reality that we will never see the 'good times' again ! !   That the times will/ must get darker and progressively worse is a FACT !   So...  why not accept the facts as the bible plainly states and get the right mind set instead of hoping to elect another imperfect human being for America's president ?  Both sides of the Congress are 98% totally corrupt and complicit, so any new president will just be spinning his wheels again, too.   We are doomed,  but we can still be happy with the knowledge that the Rapture will come when God says so, and we can keep busy in the mean time.   I am tweaking/ adjusting my own mind and heart accordingly too.   Just remember that the majority of the world is going thru some serious, stressful times right now, and they will only get worse !   Yes,  Satan is having a field day right now and dancing for joy, hoping to smash our marriages, families, country, sending so many souls to hell.    So we have each other, the world wide Congregation of Christ, the Church that is mostly sleeping,  but we can visit and talk to individuals and meet with them.  That is what I intend to do.

By the way,  in case any of you fine people or someone you know of is trapped in a religious cult, like the Jehovah's Witnesses or Mormons, etc.,  here is a special contact number that can help you a lot:   Midwest Christian Outreach, Inc.  Phone:  630-627-9028.  Email:  info@midwestoutreach.org   -- They helped me in a large way many years ago, when no one else would, or could !

The Lord's return vs giving up

I receive hundreds of emails each day. Many of them discuss the imminent return of the Lord and how they hope this occurs soon. Now, I know this is a touchy subject, but before you hit the unsubscribe button, please hear me out. After being asked directly by the disciples when he will restore the kingdom to Israel, Jesus responded in Acts 1:7, "It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father has put in his own power." He told them in the next verse that the Holy Spirit will empower them to be witnesses unto the uttermost part of the earth. This is all part of the Great Commission and it is important. The escape plan is in God's hands. We are to be about God's business until then.

There is a lot that must happen before the return of the Lord. Jesus Christ, himself, explains the events leading to his return in Matthew 24, beginning with "Take heed that no man deceive you." He then describes a series of events--wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes--which are what he called "the beginning of sorrows." He says, "They shall deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you; and you shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake." He tells of false prophets, lawlessness, preaching the gospel to all the nations, then the end shall come. He then explains about the Abomination of Desolation described by the prophet Daniel, and all that the antichrist/beast will do.

Jesus said in Matthew 24:36, "But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so shall the coming of the son of man be." He goes on to describe the conditions of the world at Noah's time and how they "knew not until the flood came, and took them all away." So he says to watch so that you will be ready. He explains through a parable that blessed is that servant who the Lord finds is faithfully doing his work upon the master's return.  What Christ explains in Matthew 24 is repeated throughout the prophets regarding the Day of the Lord. We also see these allusions to what he says in 2 Timothy, Thessalonians, and Revelation--to name a few.

Irrespective of when you believe the rapture will occur, the world will continue growing darker to that day. In Christ's own words, a lot has to happen and there are signs or milestones along the way that should give us warning and the comfort that the holy scripture is true. There is no place in the scriptures that instructs us to give up, hoping for an escape. Our hope is in the Lord, our faithfulness in doing his work. As the world becomes darker, we are to be the light. The events leading up to the Lord's return are opportunities to "Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." There is no time for despair. Show your readiness by the intensity of your acts.

Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Though sometimes subtly, occultism such as witchcraft and the New Age Movement are undoubtedly infiltrating and often capturing the masses today. If ever there was a need for a clear expose on the deceptions of the Evil One, it is now!  Rooted soundly in Scripture, this book links today's common occult-driven practices to the nine forbidden practices of the Old Testament.  It is well researched, thoroughly documented and easy to read.

 Lucifer Makes Prime Time
By Jan Markell
May 27, 2015
"But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse..." (II Timothy 3:13).
I guess the Fox Network really is fair and balanced. They present the good, the bad, and the truly ugly. In this case the "ugly" is a program about Lucifer. That's right: Lucifer leaves Hell and becomes a resident of Los Angeles. I'm not making this up.
A trailer for the show portrays Lucifer as a handsome, British-accented, well-to-do lady killer full of charm and wit. The more subtle side of Satanism in Hollywood entertainment is now a thing of the past. Prime time television now will air blatant drama featuring Lucifer but portrayed by a character who is just a nice guy.

Based on the show's trailer, the Lucifer character will be offered up to the masses who watch the Fox program as a likable character with moral and ethical convictions, fulfilling the biblical account of this insidious demonic entity. It's only fitting then, that this modern-day show would portray Lucifer as a type of benevolent god, since this was always his goal. It was to take the place of the real God.

One commentator said that the masses are increasingly obsessed with evil so why not make a program glorifying Satan? You might say that Hollywood has done that for decades and featured their offerings to the evil one on the big screen and you would be correct, but this program will be prime time, available to millions with just the turn of a dial or push of a TV transmitter.

Satan, disguised as Mr. Nice-Guy, will come leaping into the family rooms of millions of unsuspecting people, and particularly into the minds of impressionable young people.

The entertainment and book industry have paid homage to Lucifer for years and with each generation, the interest becomes more and more staggering -- and more bold and blatant.

Hollywood has offered us "The Omen," "Rosemary's Baby," "The Exorcist," endless Halloween dramas, Freddy Kruger's evil, and many nightmares on Elm Street, but now it is not just coming to a street near you, it is coming to your living room. And on a network you thought you could trust.

Lucifer will make prime time TV.  On a reality show that may be all too real.

He has even influenced Christian publishing. In the 1930s, two women channeled a book called "God Calling." They heard from demons in other words. That book remains a big hit today. From that came the modern day best-seller, "Jesus Calling."  This author credits "God Calling" as her inspiration. How is this possible?

Tell me these aren't the last of the last days? Try to convince me that is not true.

There is an undeniable increase in wickedness today. So what is our response?

Let our light so shine before men that they see our good works and glorify our Father, who is in Heaven. When evil increases - we must do good. We must delay the decay.

Mike Oppenheimer of "Let Us Reason" writes, "God did not invent evil, however he knew it would come about. Yet He did not stop it but made a provision for it when it would rear its ugly head.

"There is coming a day when this will be taken care of. Right now we are in position of grace where God is commanding all men everywhere to repent."

Oppenheimer says, "First, evil is a necessary part of free will. Man has free will -- we can choose what we want. We sin because we want to sin. It is our natural inclination. We follow our strongest nature at any given time. We are not morally inclined toward God.

"As J. B. Phillips has put it: Evil is inherent in the risky gift of free will. God could have made us machines but to do so would have robbed us of our precious freedom of choice, and we would have ceased to be human. We all exercise free choice in the direction of our nature which is traced to the 'fall' of man.

"This is the basic reason for evil and suffering in the world. It is man's responsibility, not God's. Why does God permit evil?  He could stop it, but in so doing would destroy us all.

"It is worth noting that the whole point of real Christianity lies not in interference with the human power to choose, but in God producing a willing consent for us to choose good over evil. He offers us choice and by doing so a chance to grow and understand the difference."

The world was this evil during the days of Noah but they didn't have the entertainment world glorifying it. We know what the consequences of the evil of Noah's day were. The last days are compared to the days of Noah.

Need I say more?

The devil can roar all he wants. He knows his time is short. But he is making good use of his time.

A final thought: Is Antichrist's reign on earth so close that this paves the way?
