Statin Drugs, and Eye Sight Loss.

Tom's Journal.

I refuse to take these drugs, no matter what the doctors threaten to do....,  but it just so happens that my VA doctor knows that I do a lot of truthful research on my medications, so he doesn't hassle me at all.   PTL.

I got my first FREE oil change this morning at Riverside Auto Dealership in Iron Mtn, MI., today, and also kept a VA appointment for my bi-weekly wound dressing change,  which in FINALLY healing, now that I have started taking the antibiotics....  but they just KILL my poor, old stomach, even though I try to eat something when I take those huge horse pills.   I have a good, close, relationship with the RN,  Steve Gartland, and he likes me to talk about Bible stuff with him when I am there and also bought a good KJV Bible from me long ago.

Money is short, as I try to "Pay Down" my debt load to save on Interest $$$,  but we still survive, and realize that times will grow much worse in the future.... so the Bible tells us.
For a great, easy to read, new, DEFINED KJV Bible, with footnotes on every page to DEFINE Old English terms/  words,  please visit:    ---You will be pleasantly surprised and grow close to the Lord, whose promises are always fulfilled !

I also had my Will made out yesterday, by a local Attorney at Law,  Adam Kruppstadt, from Iron Mountain, MI  49801.

"Put not your trust in princes,  nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help."   ---Psalms 146: 3.
Yet, so many so-called 'Christians' continue to 'put their faith'  in imperfect, corrupt humans to get us out of the huge mess we are in, world wide.   Yes,  I DO VOTE for whom I think might be the better man to lead the USA,  and safe guard our precious Freedoms of Liberty...  to Worship,  Free Speech,  and the important 2nd Amendment,   but I know full well that only the GOD of the KJV Bible can and will deliver His servants and followers from what is coming soon.   I am ready for the Rapture BIG TIME !!   DON'T go to heaven alone.....  take someone with you !    Share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, because the Lord will come back 'as a  thief in the night !'

Have a great Fall Day !   Smile.

Statins Could End Up Costing You Your Eyesight

Posted by

statins and cataracts are one of the most frequently prescribed types of medication for people with high cholesterol, despite the numerous side effects that have been linked to their use. Now, in addition to the existing, known risks of , new research suggests that increase the risks of developing cataracts.

New Research on Statins

This new research was one of the largest studies ever conducted on this subject. Published online in JAMA Ophthamology, the new case-control study incorporated a total of 13,626 users and 32,623 non-users to serve as controls. All of the participants were between the ages of 30 to 85, were part of a military health care system, and had been using statins regularly for approximately two years. Shockingly, after accounting for over three dozen potentially confounding health and behavioral variables, the research determined that the group who took statins experienced a 9 to 27 percent increased risk of cataracts over those who did not use statins.
The processes affecting the development of cataracts in statin users is unclear, but it may be related to the effect statins have on the oxidation process. Furthermore, the properties of statins that inhibit cholesterol production might simultaneously impede the body’s ability to regenerate cells in the eye’s lens. Regardless of the reason, the findings of the research are convincing, and add another item to the list of potential side effects caused by statins.

What are These Side Effects?

Muscle pain, fatigue, and damage are the most common side effects of statin usage, but more serious problems can develop, including liver damage, digestive problems, rashes, and even negative neurological affects. Moreover, statins may increase the risk of developing type 2 diabetes and more research is ongoing to uncover more possible side effects and health risks.

What Should You Do?

Statins are too often viewed as a low risk, straightforward, and obvious medication to prescribe for people with high cholesterol. The truth is that this type of medication should be carefully considered, and the entire health profile of the individual must be factored into the decision to use statins. Fortunately, there are a number of ways that people may lower their cholesterol without the use of statins.  Exercise, weight loss, and lifestyle changes are all viable options, as is changing or supplementing your diet with natural foods and products to safely lower your cholesterol. Talk to your physician about alternative options to statin use, with your overall health history in mind, and strongly consider these alternative methods.
