Hello Friends and avid Readers:
U.P. where we live, we are very thankful that Spring time is near and much of the snow has already melted.   Maybe it's just that I hit a certain long-range age mile stone in life....   age 70, that things are changing for me.   I may have the wrong mind set but I just want to slow down and spend quality time with my helpful, lovely wife, Loretta, and give thanks to the Lord for allowing us to pay down/ pay off certain large bills we owe,  finally!   PTL.  Right now my wife is out shopping while I spend some time on my P.C. --personal desk computer.  When I studied computers in college it baffled me,  but now I am very profficient and know my way around P.C.'s.   I once started to write my own book, but developped "writer's block" and set my manuscript down, but kept it in a safe place.

I know many old folks in nursing homes who wish for death, and I know why with their horrible existence....  for they know what it is to suffer in many ways.   "Heaven is my home, too."

So we have to play a balancing act while we live on Earth, to pay the bills and support our families, etc.   Perhaps we can also support certain REAL Christian efforts to share the Word and Gospel accounts with others to the best of our vital force and strength.   I financially support a few Christian Orgs, where I know for sure they are spending the money to do the real job of Christian preaching, like:   BIBLE TRACTS INC., or SAMARITAN's PURSE.   But beware,  that there are so many false prophets in the world right now looking to get rich by stealing funds for their dog's air-conditioned house, etc.   However,  be NOT poisoned against all preachers because you were 'burned' by fake teachers, please.   We should all have some share in the Gospel work and know the Bible!  Not all of us are super gifted with people skills and talents,  yet we can all do something,  dear brothers and sisters.

Well,  at least I made it thru another Winter without falling/ slipping on the ice to hurt my legs and back.   It's a paradise up where we live, in the Summertime!  We get a short Spring and Fall and then just dive into Summer and Winter... Ha!
As for the thought of world financial meltdown and dire poverty.... NOW IS THE TIME TO INVEST IN THE RIGHT STUFF!   For my view of what's what, just email me:

Warm Regards,

Last week, the United Nations Human Rights Council adopted a resolution criticizing what it calls Israel's "occupation" of the Golan Heights.

Perhaps not coincidentally, that typical condemnation of Israel by the UN was overshadowed by a tweet from US President Donald Trump. He wrote, "After 52 years, it is time for the United States to fully recognize Israel's Sovereignty over the Golan Heights, which is of critical strategic and security importance to the State of Israel and Regional Stability."

Thank God for a President with the courage to stand up to the world's elite and the determination to protect and defend Israel. I believe God will honor His covenant with Abraham and bless America for blessing and defending the Jews.

Israel captured the Golan Heights from Syria, one of its attackers in the 1967 Six-Day War.

Some critics say that Mr. Trump's opportune recognition of Israel's right to the Golan Heights was a political ploy. I think, though, that it simply acknowledges reality.

From a military standpoint, Israel cannot afford to allow an enemy to own the high ground to its immediate north. Especially an enemy completely controlled by Iran and Hezbollah (and Russia and Turkey in the deeper background). Further, Syria's dictator, Bashar al-Assad is a recognized butcher who has repeatedly used poison gas on his own people, including children.

To return a strategically vital defensive asset like the Golan Heights to Syria at this time would be an insane act of self-destruction for Israel. But it is a suicidal act that the EU and the UN (not to mention all of Islam and many on the Left in Israel) are pushing Israel to commit.

Once again, I thank God that our President is bravely standing firm with Israel in the face of worldwide opposition.

Harvard Professor-Emeritus Alan Dershowitz explained the situation perfectly. He said, "You don't give back a battleship that you captured from an enemy who is going to use it to fire at you. The Golan Heights is a battleship and you don't give it to Syria and Iran."

Especially after half a century!

You just thought that "Meatless Mondays" was another incoherent screwball idea by the insufferably self-aware Left's social justice warriors. It was recently announced that the New York City public school system is adopting the idea in all of its cafeterias next year.

But what if the whole idea has some prophetic significance?

In 1 Timothy 4:1,3, Paul writes, "But the Spirit explicitly says that in later times some will fall away from the faith.... men who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God has created to be gratefully shared in by those who believe and know the truth." (NASB) The King James Version specifically says, "...commanding to abstain from meats...."

I doubt that pursuing a vegan lifestyle one day per week will significantly hurt growing children, although the idea is hotly contested among dieticians and nutritionists in the world's medical community. But it is increasingly becoming politically incorrect to eat meat or dairy products. And isn't that exactly what the Bible predicted for "the later times"?

We already know that, more and more, cultural trendsetters are opposing the institution of marriage. They call it "sexist."

These are just two of the hundreds of prophetic signs being fulfilled daily in our time. And the amazing thing is, they're all happening at once. Remember, the Bible predicts that all of these signs will grow in frequency and intensity as the end of this age approaches.

There was a time when people could depend on their "life savings" for a sense of security. Not anymore.

The world's economy is surprisingly fragile at the moment. There are even signs that the US economy might be headed for some instability or, at the least, sluggish growth.

These problems may turn out to be insignificant, temporary setbacks. But there is one warning sign that no one can dismiss: national debt.

Unsustainable levels of national debt hang like the sword of Damocles over the United States and the world.

In 1992, the US debt stood at 62% of our nation's annual Gross Domestic Product, or GDP.

In 2009, our national debt reached 82% of our GDP.

This year, it will be at least 106% of GDP.

That's an explosion of debt!

Remember, when I say "GDP," I'm not talking about the amount of money the government brings in through taxes and tariffs. I'm talking about all of the wealth generated by the ENTIRE nation in a year. Government debt now exceeds the annual amount of everything the nation produces!

In 1981, the US debt hit one trillion dollars. President Ronald Reagan tried to illustrate to Congress how much a trillion dollars is.

He said, "...if you had a stack of thousand-dollar bills in your hand only 4 inches high, you'd be a millionaire. A trillion dollars would be a stack of thousand-dollar bills 67 miles high."

Last month, US debt hit 22 trillion dollars. That's a stack of thousand-dollar bills 1,474 miles high!

But official Washington doesn't seem to care. Now they want to give Medicare to everyone and pay all college tuitions. They want to ban fossil fuels, build millions of massive windmills, and rebuild every building in America. Including your house.

The American Action Forum estimates that will require more than 90 trillion dollars! That's how you turn the most prosperous nation in human history into another Venezuela!

But it's not just happening in America. In 2017, 19 nations had government debt higher than their GDP. Japan's national debt stands at a staggering 236% of its GDP!

History proves these numbers cannot be sustained. The world is headed for a financial disaster like nothing ever seen before.

And it will set the stage for the emergence of the Antichrist.

If your hope is only in this world, your future is scary!

Speaking of hope, the first prophecy of a Savior for the world comes right after the first mention of sin in the Bible. In Genesis 3:15, God said that the future Seed of woman would bruise the head of Satan.

Nothing more was written about the Promised Seed until around the year 2000 BC. At that point, God spoke to a man named Abram who would later become known as Abraham.

God told Abraham to leave his home and travel to a far-off land. God made a covenant with Abraham. He told him that great blessings await him and his descendants in that unknown land.

In an amazing act of faith, Abraham obeyed.

And from that one act of faith flowed the blessings that have enriched all of the peoples of the world and history, most notably the birth of the "Anointed One," ha-mashi'ah, Messiah.

On this week's program, I am going to tell you the story of "The Amazing Mr. Abraham."

The Wise Prepper.

Tom's Journal.

For some nice reason Norway is usually my top  Blog  readers and fans.   I wish I could still  write some things in their tongue.   The USA is number two.

"Gott kann nicht Lugen."    ---German:  "God cannot lie."

Of course I must say right at the start that most Combat Veterans already know most of this splended list of "Must Have's."   And here I am, an old, but well studied gentleman and Christian [PTL---- "Praise the Lord."] but the Bible tells me that there will be a horrible situation on our Earth with disease, war, strife, and Big Brother will be our enemy..... IF we are still around or have [taken the MARK of the Anti-Christ --- who is controlled by STD ---Satan the Devil.   Father God will of course deal with the devil and all his 'supporters and agents.'   Sorry that I still need to tell that true story so many times, dear friends,  but there are still millions who don't know it yet.... many in the good old USA.... like Milenials and such.   But not all the blame goes on them,  but the entire U.S. school system, also controlled by the Liberal, Socialist/ Communists that obama planted.   Why don't we all WAKE UP, turn off the TV, radios and over used Cell Phones that even adults are addicted to ???   Such obcessive behavior is not healthy, and that's is one reason why our kids cannot master simple language and communication skills.

In studying the better way to loose weight I am also learning what bad foods are.   Ha!  If the bad stuff does hit U.S.,  people will be lucky to eat old canned foods.   What a bummer, IMHO.  Any questions or comments?

Army Hugs,

One of the most forgotten areas of prepping is financial preparedn

12 Things That Won’t Lose Value In A Crisis
One of the most forgotten areas of prepping is financial preparedness. It’s as if we all think that whenever the brown stuff hits the air movement device, all debt and other financial concerns will disappear. While that might be true in a few situations, like an EMP, it’s not something we can count on. We’re just as likely to be faced with a scenario which causes us all to lose our incomes, while still being stuck with the mortgage on our homes and the loans on our cars.

Planning our finances as preppers can be challenging. We are faced with the problem of planning for the same things our non-prepping friends and neighbors do, while also planning for any number of possible disasters. So we have to have a plan for retirement; a plan to survive short-term disasters and a plan for surviving a TEOTWAWKI event.

This makes investing a real challenge. The things most people invest in, stocks and money market accounts, can’t be relied on in a post-disaster world. For that matter, trusting in them in a normal world is a bit dicey, as the stock market can always crash. But that doesn’t eliminate the need for investing; just like everyone else in the world, we need to have our investments in order, both for the good times and for the bad.

This really means investing in such a way as to protect ourselves in the event of a disaster. If we do that, then our investments should carry us through the good times as well. What we need, in addition to our stockpile of supplies, are things that we can invest in, which won’t lose their value, even in a post-disaster world. May I suggest the following…

Gold & Silver
This one is obvious. Perhaps the most classic investment of all time is precious metals, specifically gold and silver. During times of financial crisis, these metals always increase in value, even when everything else is dropping in value. In addition, precious metals are what people are likely to return to, when needing some sort of money to trade with. So, as long as you have them, you can do business.

If you want to learn more you can check out this book. It provides specific and essential wealth-protecting ideas, techniques, and strategies.

In this regard, silver is actually better than gold, as its value is less. So when it comes time to barter, you’re not dealing with a one ounce gold coin, which has a huge value. That might be useful when trying to make a major purchase, but not when trying to buy food.

When I’m talking about land here, I’m not talking in the typical way of investing in land. What I’m referring to the land your home is sitting on or land that you can use for homesteading. One of the best investments you can make, especially for surviving a financial collapse, is ensuring that you own your home. That way, it can’t be taken away from you.

Granted, it is hard to pay off your home and the land it sits on; but if you will make an additional payment of say $100 each month, that money will go directly towards the principal on the loan, not the interest. I don’t have the exact figures at hand, but check it out; that could cut your 30 year mortgage down to 15 years or so.

As preppers, we’re already stockpiling food. But we need to realize that our food is an investment too. Even in normal times, the cost of food is rising faster than the inflation rate. So, that food will increase in value faster than a savings account. Of course, in a time of crisis, it will be invaluable.
