Hello Friends,
We in America are starting to realize just how precious life is now, with death all around us, and I am "at risk" too by many factors against me... my age, accidents, breathing challenges, and weight gains, etc.  Oh, I could blame this or that and myself as being weak and not dieting right, but we all get old and weak, more prone to sickness and the end of life.  In spite of myself with all my 'head knowledge' and years of study, I confess that I am a bit 'spooked' and afraid.  So I sought the counsel of an old pastor that I used to know, asking for his help.
I h ad kind of hoped to be Raptured up and never suffer the sting of death, but in the back of my mind I realized that my family background doesn't allow me to live too much longer because heart disease and stroke runs in my family, and so I AM at risk.  I am taking expensive medication but the VA gives them to me cost free and so I am very thankful for that!  Praise the Lord!  Father God has blessed me in many ways and today is payday, too!  That means all of my creditors get paid soon and I don't waste any time getting the checks out the door and into the snail mail.
But this month of April is so much different and my wife and I are 'hunkering down' -- saving cash to make it stretch longer/ farther this month because who really know what will come down the pike.  These are NOT normal times and many things, products, supplies, food are not flowing the way they should.  Oh, we will never starve for food because we have the foresight and plan not to fail, and I am a survivor and a prepper, of sorts.  And my wife claims that she can still hunt for deer, etc., as she has done that before, and I know how to butcher, and Lori knows well how to can and preserve.  But I know and have already seen that there are shortages in the stores already!  So common sense tells me that we will be without certain commodities soon and will just have to live without them.  Losing weight will be good for me, anyway, Ha!
But let it be known that all the power is not coming from me, but from my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.  I find myself reading and depending on the KJV BIBLE all the time these days to get the power and strength that I need to keep my mind and heart on the "prize" of everlasting life in heaven-- a promise of Father God and His Son, Jesus.  From what we hear and see on the News, non-stop every day, there is so much grief and sorrow every day from dear ones passing away by the hundreds, and I well know that I could die at anytime no matter how many vitamins I take!  In fact, I have been preparing myself and my dear, good wife, Loretta for my death, if and when it comes, and this Coronavirus from China will NOT just go away!   Personally, I believe that it is here to stay, although our doctors and scientists might well discover an antidote or remedy to inoculate the masses in our country in the next 6 months or so.  But I might die before that comes...  not to seem morbid.
I am not so scared of death but just the manner in which I go.  I ask you all to pray for me that I can be of good courage if and when that time comes, dear friends.  My youngest daughter refuses to even allow  her 3 children to call or visit me because of some goofy misunderstanding or quarrel... and what a shame.  Even though I continue to send her kids hand written letters and money...  I think that's a dirty shame.   But I heard that other good combat Veterans that I know are experiencing the same kind of treatment from hateful ex-mates, sorry to say.  Why such hatred and animosity?  Life is short -- so why hurt people/ relatives like that, and prevent men from visiting with their grandkids?  I hope that someday my grandkids will learn the truth and I love and miss them so much, and neve wanted it this way.  And now I have finally got the guts to put my feelings in print, today.... on April 1st, 2020.

I hope that all of my gentle readers survive and even prosper, if possible.  I also hope that they find some of my blog posts valuable in survival, health, godly information, and biblical.

Warm Regards,

The Inner Flow of Infinite Power

By Hal Lindsey

Christians should always remember the Source of our strength and power. But right now seems like an especially good time to put power into perspective. Ultimately, we do not depend on a rugged physique, government programs, or human systems of power. We depend on the Lord God Almighty - the omnipotent One.

Our situation can be illustrated by an episode of the classic TV comedy, "The Dick Van Dyke Show." Van Dyke played a television writer named Rob Petrie. He had just repaired, or tried to repair, a toaster. He put in bread to test his work. Watching the toaster with self-satisfaction, he tried to give his wife Laura the big picture of what was happening.

"Just think," he said, "at this very moment, the mighty Niagara, harnessed to giant generators, its energy racing along 400 miles of copper wire, just to heat our toaster. All we have to do is wait."

Laura asked, "Don't we have to plug it in?"

A bit crestfallen, Rob walked over and plugged it in. He said, "You'd think with that 400-mile running start it could jump the last two feet by itself."

The power he described was there - two feet from the toaster - waiting to be tapped. And that can be us. Power flows within reach, but we sometimes fail to connect. Ephesians 6:10 tells every follower of Christ, "Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might."

It is impossible for the human mind to fully comprehend the power we're talking about when we say, "the strength of His might." Remember, He is omnipotent, meaning "all-powerful." In Numbers 11:23, God asked Moses, "Is the Lord's power limited? Now you shall see whether My word will come true for you or not."

Because His power has no limit, His every word must come true. It was with His words that He created all the cosmos. Psalm 33:6 says, "By the word of the Lord the heavens were made."

Someone might point to Hebrews 6:18 - "It is impossible for God to lie" - and say there are some limits on His power. But the fact that God is always Himself, and never acts outside of His character or purpose does not represent a limit on His power. It is an expression of it!

His power flowing in us also works in accordance with His character. He does not grant us supernatural power to fulfill "the lust of the flesh," "the lust of the eyes," or the "pride of life" (1 John 2:16). Rather, he empowers us to do His will. And that's the amazing thing. When we do His will, He makes His power available to us. We just need to plug in.

The next two verses, Ephesians 6:11-12, say, "Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able to stand firm against the schemes of the devil. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

The verses that follow tell about the armor God provides for us. I won't go into those specifics here, but I invite you to read about them in Ephesians 6:13-18.

We stand in the midst of a spiritual battle. And to triumph as He wants us to triumph, we need more than a positive attitude or a stiff upper lip. We must, "Be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might."

The Greek word here translated power is "kratei." It literally means "power that overcomes resistance."

You will face resistance. We all do. But God grants us the power to overcome resistance. With gladness, He invites you to plug in to that unending, unlimited resource. Colossians 1:11 tells us we can be "strengthened with all power, according to His glorious might, for the attaining of all steadfastness and patience."

Stay close to Him in these difficult days. Trust Him. And in all this, "walk in His glorious might."
