Up Side Down Pineapple Cake.

Tom's Journal.,15240,208380,00.html?

I didn't post the song above for any particular reason-- please don't 'read' anything into it-- just enjoy.

I may have said in the past that I loved Ancient History [and the Bible fits into that category somewhat-- but it also foretells the future with extreme accuracy]. The only challenge with human national histories are that the writers tend to leave out things that show their own country in a bad light...LOL. Example: You won't find Egypt or Syrian history books mentioning big time defeats by the Israelites. The scriptures also tell about the capital of Syria getting leveled in the near future..... Hmmmm. If the Syrians boast about their 50,000 rockets ready to fire on Israel-- what do you think Israel would do...? Put yourself in their position and walk a few miles in their shoes before you judge them.

I am thinking, why don't more of the mainline "Christian" Churches talk more about the near future that the Bible talks about-- instead of buying into another puny human leader as "savior", or the ONE WORLD GOV'T solving all our world problems?? And/ or a ONE WORLD RELIGION? Who really cares what the so-called 'Worldly' people think? I don't.
I don't mean to walk around like 'Chicken Little' and be a dooms dayer, but where is the true FAITH and TRUST in God's own Word-- the Bible? Why would people who call themselves Christians want to perpetuate this old, wicked, corrupt, godless, Satanic system of things one minute more-- if they KNOW that HEAVEN is a very real place promised by the God who inspired the Bible?? If we truly believe in the many promises that Jesus made while on earth, about Him going to prepare a special place for His followers in Heaven, where is the "sting of death?"

Followers of other disciplines like Islam gladly volunteer as suicide bombers and expect a rich reward in Paradise with 77 virgins, in return... and they are heathen! Many Christian
scholars and wise men claim that the Churches have dropped the ball and gotten too cozy with the secular world of comfort and the 'get rich Gospel', and 'Purpose Driven" foolishness. When the Scriptures finally materialize and the hard times and major wars come to be-- it sure seems like the MAJORITY of 'church people', along with the foolish agnostics, etc., will be caught off guard. They will have to make a quick choice of who's side they will be on-- and if they are ready to give their lives for the God they pretend they worship. That about it.

I don't see myself as someone better than others, and I admit that I am yet a sinner who constantly prays for forgiveness every day of my life. But if God called me home tonight-- it would be His great kindness and mercy to me, IMHO.

The Apostle Paul said, in Philppians 3: 7 >>> "But for whatever things were gain to me, those things I have counted as loss for the sake of Christ. [8] More than that, I count all things to be loss in view of the surpassing value of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and count them but rubbish [manure] so that I may gain Christ." NASB. And many of my readers might say that 'it's easy to die for Christ-- but harder to love for Christ.' My reply is: 'Heaven is my home.'

I am reluctant to give the traditional greeting: 'Happy New Year', because most well read people and serious Bible students KNOW that 2010 will NOT be a good year, but most likely much worse than this past year. Unemployment will soar, homes and jobs lost And we don't even have to worry about Islamic terrorism.... We will IMPLODE because of our [collective] stupid over spending and borrowing!! I expect the USA to have either a regional or global new currency BEFORE NEXT NEW YEAR! And my family and friends will be hurt from all of this too-- and I am not looking forward to that. Like the old proverb goes: 'The horse is out of the barn!'

And for good repetition, I expect Israel to protect her own sovereign God-given State by a 'Pre-Emptive Stike' against Syria and Iran. America has deserted Israel, and that will go hard for us in the USA, and anyone who tries to hurt Israel or force her to give up ANY of their land. Sorry.

As for me and my wife, we shall try harder to make new friends and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ, where ever and when ever we can, with the Grace of God and the Holy Spirit. But even so, Paul told Timothy that, "the love of the greater number will cool off" --[even in the Church]. We are not looking for a 'Social Club' but real Christians that we can help and rub elbows with up -build and encourage. Solomon said in, Eccl: 'Iron sharpens Iron.' Now is not the time to party down, but to remain sober and alert.

My last advice today: Try to pay OFF your plastic, stock up on commodities, Don't put your faith in the Stock Market anymore, invest in a little silver... and draw closer to the Lord, Jesus Christ. Read and Study the Bible DAILY.

Sharon's back hurts her lately, but she baked a fine upside down Pineapple cake. She said that it was too sweet and sugary for her Diabetes, but I enjoyed it today. Woo Woo!

Warm Regards,
Bless all Believers,

I am curious what will happen to us, to you and like iron, should 2010 be good and 2012 not be the end. I look forward to whatever 2010 and 2012 brings and I look forward to hearing/reading your thoughts in 2013. What would that mean? The Bible is wrong? Best wishes to you and Mrs. Diane-

Per Diane's comment...
Matthew 24:44, "For this reason you also must be ready; for the Son of Man [Jesus] is coming at an hour when you do not think He will." |My simple prognostication is based on the very struggle for life of Israel- God's chosen people. Scenario: If Canada and Mexico or Cuba had 50,000 missiles aimed at the USA, a 'Pre-Empted Strike' might be the only answer to shut down a big bully who is intent on destroying us and our way of life! Ponder on this. I guess some folks just don't have the time or inclination to read the Bible which is perfect and true.
