Ancient Israel had the divine promise of God Almighty that everything good in life, including 100% protection against all enemies, and real prosperity would be showered on them...IF THEY KEPT GOD'S COVENANT [the contractual agreement between both parties]. And even when Israel broke her side of the bargain, the Lord felt sorry and took His country back into His loving arms time and again when she repented. Even today, Israel has had some great things happening there with a good system of agriculture and financial blessing, compared to most of the other countries in the world. What we call a "shambles" [the KJV Bible shows that term in 1611 meant a "meat market."] today is what our own country, America/ USA is in, and steadily going down the tube, and it's simply economics 101 that no body or country can continue cranking out new currency [in D.C.] in the back room and borrowing from China and Japan-- and not eventually collapse!
I can assume that obama, and the Dims THINK they have cut the 'right deals' with the 'powers that be' in the world-- leading to a 'One World Gov't'-- but at what price? We surely won't have the Freedoms we enjoy right now. I am poor at Math, but even I can add that disaster up in my head. My Grandma used to tell me about the Depression of the 1930's, and what it was like on the family farm in Kansas, and to waste food was a serious sin. Now days our whole world is 'linked together' so that if one or two countries go down-- the rest of the world will be adversely affected. I used to be Federally licensed to market and sell quality Mutual Funds with Smith Barney, etc., but now it's a whole different ball game with so much instability in the market place. I have switched my entire portfolio around and have a different mind set now too. Too many of my friends and relatives have already lost their pants-- and then some, as they failed to talk to me... sorry, folks.
But then, a real Christian's objective ought not be getting filthy rich, but to 'store up our good things in heaven where rust and moth cannot consume!' But having SOME money stored up does give us an OPTION in hard times-- and we must lay some $$$ aside for emergencies, repair bills and death in the family, IMHO. I am with my PT lady, Amy, coming over to teach me Physical Therapy, and she did me a world of good. She reports her details to the good surgeon, Dr. James Shapiro, who did a great job on my Left knee replacement surgery! But he confided in me a day latter that the general consensus of my Left knee from the surgical team was: 'that it was the most "rotten" knee joint they ever saw!!' And no wonder it was driving me crazy with intense pain all that time! But the goofy GP [PCP] 'doctor' of mine at the Milwaukee VA said that he didn't think that MY PAIN WAS THAT BAD! What a loser- dung heap... lol, and now you all know what we Veterans have to deal with at these VA hospitals....and it was the same stink about our claims about Agent Orange and PTSD!! I heard that the Great Lakes Naval Station in IL has improved quite a bit recently-- and I aim to find out soon. Seems to me that the aged and the Veterans usually get the 'dirty end of the stick.'
I took my nice cleaning lady out for a fish fry today just to show her how much I admire her great 'work ethic' and help around my humble hovel. I feel that I am down about to 'this level' in weight in the pic below.... yes! But I need to go back to my fresh fruit and pure water diet now-- again, to lose more and get down to my 'ideal weight.' PTL.
