Ha!  When working with the Dims [sic]--"Lawmakers,"  always keep them on a 'short leash' and watch every move they make!!  Now... who is going to clean up the new mess that they've made for us ?  Shame on the rest of us that were not watching them more carefully!  Shame!

Scrap House defense authorization provision benefitting Russia

Scrap House defense authorization provision benefitting Russia
When the House of Representatives passed its version of the FY2020 National Defense Authorization Act, House Speaker Nancy PelosiNancy PelosiPelosi arrives in Jordan with bipartisan congressional delegationTrump says his Doral resort will no longer host G-7 after backlashScrap House defense authorization provision benefitting RussiaMORE proclaimed that Democrats have always stood for a strong and smart national defense — and maintaining a tough stance on Russia. A close look at one of the provisions casts serious doubt on the accuracy of her statement.
This provision in the House bill (Floor Amendment 42) may actually increase reliance on Russian natural gas at U.S. and North Atlantic Treaty Organization military installations in Europe. And it could conceivably jeopardize the missions of U.S. and NATO troops if Russia ever decides to weaponize this important energy resource (e.g. by disrupting fuel supply lines from Russia to Europe) for economic, political or military gain — as it has done in the past, most notably during its 2014 military intervention in Ukraine.
In developing the defense authorization, the House and Senate passed vastly different bills, which conferees from both congressional chambers are now attempting to reconcile. The GOP-led Senate approved its version of the 2020 NDAA (S.1790) on June 27 by a bipartisan vote of 86 to 8. The Democrat-led House approved its version of NDAA (H.R.2500) on July 12, including the questionable floor amendment, by a partisan vote of 220 to 197.
Rep. Jared HuffmanJared William HuffmanScrap House defense authorization provision benefitting RussiaDemocrat argues GOP had 'no deep love or loyalty' to TrumpDemocrats take Trump impeachment case to votersMORE (D-Calif.) is the sole sponsor of the dubious floor amendment. It got included in the House NDAA bill by voice vote without going through regular order where contentious bills are often debated and approved in subcommittee and committee. In a press release, Huffman claims the purpose of his amendment is to eliminate the use of a “permanent domestically sourced energy” requirement in the FY2019 NDAA, which may have allowed the use of American anthracite coal as one of the energy sources at an overseas U.S. installation in Germany.
In an August letter to House and Senate Armed Services Committee chairmen and ranking members, bipartisan critics of Huffman’s amendment warned that, “…the provision in the House NDAA would explicitly repeal what is now U.S. law (Public Law No. 115-232), and make our defense installations more susceptible to Russia reducing, or even cutting off, gas supplies to our service members in Europe….”
This is true. The more dependent Europe becomes on Russian natural gas, the greater the security risk to the U.S. and its European allies. NATO serves as a bulwark against Russian adventurism and aggression and could be targeted for a major gas disruption. The U.S. provides nearly 70 percent of the organization’s defense funding and has about 60,000 troops deployed in Europe, 35,000 stationed in Germany at 21 U.S. military installations and the remainder in several other countries. Nearly all U.S. military installations in Germany use the German commercial natural gas network, which contain Russian supplied fuel.
How dependent is Europe on Russian natural gas? The European Union (Eurostat) reported that Russia supplied EU countries with 40 percent of its natural gas needs in 2018, making Russia the EU’s largest supplier. European dependency on Russia’s natural gas is expected to grow in 2020, when the Nord Stream 2 project is completed. This project’s pipelines run from Russia under the Baltic Sea to Germany. Gazprom, which is majority-owned by the Russian government, reportedly owns 51 percent of Nord Stream 1, and all of Nord Stream 2. The offshore pipelines are the most direct connection between Russia’s reserves and the energy-hungry European market.
And if the European market needs natural gas to fulfill its energy demands, why doesn’t it turn to its NATO ally and benefactor, the United States, as a primary source as President Donald TrumpDonald John TrumpPelosi arrives in Jordan with bipartisan congressional delegationTrump says his Doral resort will no longer host G-7 after backlashCNN's Anderson Cooper mocks WH press secretary over Fox News interviewMORE has suggested? According to the Energy Information Administration, the U.S. is the world’s largest producer of natural gas.
In reconciling the House and Senate NDAA bills, conferees should remember that the nation faces enormous security challenges from a dangerous and sometimes unfriendly world. As stated in the Trump administration’s National Defense Strategy, Russia poses one of the greatest threats to Europe and the U.S. If conferees truly want to produce a strong and smart national defense bill that is tough on Russia, they will scrap the House provision from the final bill because it benefits Russia. U.S. national security demands it.

Hello Friends,
I know, because I did my homework too.  Some folks are truly hungry for the truth that will set them free,  but others are so lazy that they would starve to death for not bringing the forkful of food back up to their mouths from the plate!   Yes,  I guess that there are many ways of being ignorant --- and for some of the more important things in life --- death is the "reward" so many will reap in the end.  Traveling is an education in itself as we can learn from just observing people in their own habitat and country.
When I was young, married with kids, I bought my first house which also had the "upper flat" as "income property."  I had to 'fast forward' for a quick education to work the business aspect of my new property [my wife's and mine] so everything worked fine.  It's not all about getting that extra rent money, but the extra upkeep and maintenance, etc.  But what I am trying to get at is that 'different folks come from different environments and locations where living with filth and cockroaches is common place and acceptable!   So if a land lord doesn't use discretion the tenants can easily destroy the house or apartment in no time !!   The term,  prejudice means:  Prejudging without sufficient data.  In my case I DID have that sufficient data.  The hard lessons in life teach us to readjust our sights and experiences so as to hit the game animal, so that we can walk home with meat for the table.  Back in the book of Genesis, God gave mankind permission to eat MEAT for the first time, shortly after Noah and his family landed the huge Ark in the high mountains [Ararat] near Turkey.    Noah was a real person just as Jesus traced his genealogy all the way back to Adam [the son of God!], at Luke, chapter 3.  The more we read [from the KJV Bible]-- the more we can work with and direct our steps to avoid danger and the lies of the devil [and his followers and servants].
Nowadays,  we don't have a shortage of Information,  but a shortage of the Truth.  Just switching a TV channel can give you 2 adverse sets of "truth."  You cannot operate an Army nor your own family on a false narrative, or with false Intel.
Our current President has the power to make good, sound, intelligent decisions that have made our country great and prosperous.  But if he gets the false, fake, information, how will that work out for us?  OK,  it's true that we are all sinners, but we must still pay attention to our own set of laws so that we have "good order."  The opposite would be "Chaos."  That is what places like Venezuvala has now in their country as they are reduced to eating their own pets, dogs, cats, birds, etc.  Hey!  We don't have to jump in a big, dirty mud paddle just see feel like a pig... LOL!   We don't have to get into harsh poverty to learn about the God-given laws and sound reasoning that we learn of in our own copy of the Bible.  That is where much of our current laws come from!  When mankind deviate from God's Plan, many suffer, and perhaps for many generations !!   Right now,  we are all living in special, last day, times where something has got to happen.  We have graduated from playing with sling shots and bows/ arrows.... to nuclear weapons of mass destruction, enough to burn up the whole Earth!  But our Father in Heaven will NOT allow that to happen, at least on a world scale.   He WILL intervene, because if He doesn't all life on Earth will cease to exist.  It's as simple as that.

Listening to the accurate News on Fox- TV lately, I found out that places touted as Socialism at it's finest... young and quite ignorant people like "AOC" Congresswoman from New York THOUGHT that the Scandinavian countries were "Socialist" places where it appeared to be a shinning utopia  with everything FREE, with the best incomes, health, education, etc. is the norm.  And the real facts prove that it's not really that way at all !!  But YOU do the homework to find out the truth and report back to this web site, please.  I have been to Germany while in the Army in early 1968, and I loved it there!  I always wanted to visit Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, too, but never had the chance, and now I am age 70 and somewhat disabled....  But I can still 'visit' them via my computer!  All I can say is:  The people in Norway must be highly intelligent!   Live long and prosper!

Warm Regards,
Tom Schuckman

Satan has blinded the minds of unbelievers. Some people won 't even consider God as a possibility or even peer into the Bible. They feel it is nonsense to do so. But nothing is impossible! Paul was a very stubborn person, but God was able to peel back the blinders on him, and allowed him to use his life to help others do so as well.

Sweden: The Church that Spreads Hate

by Nima Gholam Ali Pour  •  October 20, 2019 at 5:00 am

  • Although Good Shepherd's Swedish School is marketed by the Swedish Jerusalem Society as a school that promotes peace, Tobias Petersson, Director of the think tank Perspective on Israel, has revealed that the textbooks used by Good Shepherd's Swedish school have jihadi content that encourages holy war against the State of Israel. Also, in those textbooks, Jews are described as liars and corrupt.
  • Maps in the schoolbooks and on the walls of Good Shepherd's Swedish School do not show the State of Israel; instead the outline of Israel had been displaced by the identical outline of the "State of Palestine".
  • That such a large institution as the Church of Sweden gathers church collections throughout the country to support a school that spreads hatred and warmongering should doubtless be seen as enormously problematic.
  • The practice also shows that not only does Swedish aid go to organizations that spread hate, but also that large institutions in Sweden have opened back-channels to send millions of Swedish kronors every year to schools, such as Good Shepherd's Swedish School, that also spread hate.
  • To understand how harmful this situation is, can you imagine what would happen if one of Israel's -- or another country's -- largest institutions were raising money to support a school that taught children to hate Sweden and celebrate terrorists who murdered Swedes? It would, of course, be a great scandal and totally unacceptable. But in Sweden, this is exactly what is happening now.

The Swedish Jerusalem Society, founded in 1900, has devoted its mission to charity work in Jerusalem and Bethlehem. For several decades, however, the Swedish Jerusalem Society has been hostile to the Jewish State of Israel. The association has three official goals in the Palestinian territories:
  • Strengthen the position of women
  • Contribute to peace and reconciliation
  • Strengthen the Christian minority
Despite these noble goals, the Swedish Jerusalem Society publishes a journal in which the content, although often about Israel, has a tone that is extremely hostile and biased. In the journal's first issue of 2018, one can read an interview with a Palestinian school principal, in which she states:
"We have suffered for so many years, and may suffer for a few more years, but it is unfair to give our capital to anyone else. Why not share it?"

The Real Cost of Turkey's Kurdish Obsession

by Amir Taheri  •  October 20, 2019 at 4:00 am
  • The end of First World War left the Kurds in an even worse situation than before. President Woodrow Wilson's promise of "self-determination" was soon forgotten, leaving behind the dream of independence on the Kurdish side and the fear of Kurdish secession in the Ottoman camp as reconstituted as the Turkish Republic under Mustafa Kemal pasha (Ataturk).
  • In much of history, at least until recently, systems sustained by ultra-nationalist and/or nativist ideologies have always seen "otherness" as a threat rather than an opportunity of cultural and social enrichment.
  • In other words, one can commit genocide as long as one makes a speech in favor of Palestine and attends a Shi'ite chest-beating ceremony.

The best outcome that Turkey might expect from the war it has started against the Kurds, is to be extricated from that hornet's nest with a minimum of damage. Pictured: Turkish soldiers prepare their tanks before starting to move towards the Syrian border, on October 18, 2019 in Ceylanpinar, Turkey. (Photo by Burak Kara/Getty Images)
A classical dictum cited by Clausewitz, the father of war studies as an academic discipline, tells us that starting a war is often easy while ending it is always difficult. Does that dictum apply to the war that Turkey has started against the Kurds by invading Syria? Right now, the answer is that no one knows. What is certain, however, is that the best outcome that Turkey might expect, is to be extricated from that hornet's nest with a minimum of damage.
While the war could be blamed on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's autocratic style of decision-making, the deeper roots of the conflict must be sought in Turkey's centuries-old Kurdish obsession.

UK: Shi’ites demand removal of BBC documentary on temporary marriage, it’s “disrespectful” to Shi’ite Islam
Shi’ites justify temporary marriage, mutah, by their reading of Qur’an 4:24: And all married women (are forbidden unto you) save those (captives) whom your right hands possess. It is a decree of Allah for you. Lawful unto you are all beyond those mentioned, so that ye seek them with your wealth in honest wedlock, not […]

Of course he won’t be deported. The British authorities clearly want people like Hadi Hamid in the country. Their behavior has been consistent. The Home Office some time ago banned Martin Sellner, Brittany Pettibone, Lauren Southern and Lutz Bachmann from entering, all for the crime of opposing jihad terror and Sharia oppression, and thereby made […]

Not against Islamic jihad terrorism, but against “Islamophobia.” That means they will get more of the former, and less of the latter, including honest analysis of the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, which is routinely stigmatized as “Islamophobia.” France is finished. “Leading French figures urge action against Islamophobia,” Yeni Safak, October 16, 2019: […]

France: Deputy editor of Le Figaro condemned for saying everyone has the “right to hate religion”
A religion is a set of ideas. Ideas can and should be evaluated on their merits, that is, their truth or falsehood. If Yves Thréard had said that everyone has a right to hate Christianity, or Judaism, he would be hailed as a “courageous” thinker whose right to free speech should be upheld. But the […]

“More to come.” Oh, no doubt about that. And due to the Left’s pusillanimity and willingness to accept Sharia blasphemy laws under the guise of “hate speech” prohibitions, this kind of thing is coming to the West as well. It won’t start with violence against “blasphemers.” But it will end with it. “Kamlesh Tiwari murder: […]
