Gun control, the Founders and Christians
Politicians and media alike have been haranguing the American public about cracking down on gun availability in our society. There is a tremendous misinformation campaign being conducted by those who want to disarm American citizens. Hillary Clinton, Democratic Party presidential candidate is among the most ardent and vocal supporters of disarming all Americans. Clinton vows, if elected, to "take administrative action" to require individuals who sell guns to do background checks, will increase the number of gun sales subject to background checks, and to limit gun purchases by "people in dating relationships" that could become domestic abusers. In reality, she is on record as saying that she wants to ban guns.
On Hillary Clinton's website, she makes a point of banning guns by holding gun manufacturers responsible for gun related deaths. The site says, "Hillary believes the gun industry must be held accountable for violence perpetrated with their guns. Hillary will lead the charge to repeal the so-called "Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act," a dangerous law that prevents victims of gun violence from holding negligent manufacturers and dealers accountable for violence perpetrated with their guns." Her approach, therefore, is to say that all manufacturers and dealers are responsible for the actions of the purchasers of their guns. This is like saying that car manufacturers should be held responsible for drunk driving deaths.
The gun control crowd's appeasement is that they respect that the 2nd Amendment guarantees the right of citizens to own guns for hunting and sport shooting. Of the dozens of quotes by Madison, Jefferson, Adams, Lee and more, perhaps Noah Webster said it best in his 1787 "An Examination into the Leading Principles of the Federal Constitution": "Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed; as they are in almost every kingdom of Europe. The supreme power in America cannot enforce unjust laws by the sword; because the whole body of the people are armed, and constitute a force superior to any bands of regular troops that can be, on any pretense, raised in the United States."
In 1788, Richard Henry Lee wrote, "To preserve liberty, it is essential that the whole body of people always possess arms, and be taught alike especially when young, how to use them." The Founders wanted to guarantee that any standing army would be regulated by citizen armament organized into militia. This was the only way to protect and defend personal liberty. Even Jesus believed in personal defense. He instructed his disciples to purchase the common weapon of his time--the sword: "And he that has no sword, let him sell his garment, and buy one (Luke 22:36)." The leftist "hunters" argument is propaganda to undermine the right to protect and defend oneself and one's family against the opponents of liberty--whether they be thieves or governments or both.
Have a Blessed and Powerful Day!

Hello Dear Friends and many Readers,
I had high hopes for the gentle people in Russia for the past few years, and to some extent I 'feel connected to them' as they are a part of my personal History of a great German migration to that region in the latter 17th, early 18th Century, of our ancestral Wheat Farmers... but the smart ones came to America, IMHO, where there was so much more Freedom ! ! PTL. Our Faith in Jesus Christ and the bible runs deep and long. I am so happy and grateful to be a Soldier of Christ, to be forgiven for all my sins, past, present and future ! I know that I have some good relatives with my last name who are also biblical Christians, but logic tells me that the majority of them are still steeped in Catholicism... and perhaps, 'lost.' I pray that they grasp the truth of the Bible and get right, to do God's Will --- and that is: to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ as best they can and as often/ daily, if possible in these "Last Days." The proof of that is in the pasted article I have posted here, now, today, dear friends and relatives.
To be sure, friends, our every day life is becoming a 'rat race' just to pay the bills and survive ! So it makes sense that Satan has got most of the world of mankind in his 'pressure cooker' and we must NOT feel so pinched for time, that we forsake the 'frequent gathering of ourselves' to a BIBLE TEACHING/ PREACHING CHURCH ! We ought to find a church now days, search for the right one that definitely, really adheres to the KJV Bible, please ! Unfortunately, there are so many false teachers and false Christian churches and people now days that must be careful and discerning not to get involved with false brothers and sisters who love to twist the scriptures. So..... the only true way to test out places and people is to, 'know the KJV Bible YOURSELF !' Study it daily and get familiar with it, and if you have the Holy Spirit, the scriptures and truth WILL SINK IN, and make you smart and pleasing to Father God. Lean on God's only begotten Son, Jesus Christ, every day, and ask the H.S. [Holy Spirit] for help and guidance, even as I do every morning and every night ! Humble yourselves to admit that you cannot live without Christ as your/ our precious Lord and Savior, the ONLY REASON WE ARE NOT GOING TO HELL. This is so important, and not a 'sign of weakness,' but a sign of strength and courage.
FORSAKE the Satanic idea of Women's Lib and humanly INDEPENCE -- that is a trap, a snare, that will surely drag you down to hell and eternal suffering ! Learn that 'being in subjection' to the "Head of the Family," the righteous man of God, is not something shameful or belittling, but a respected place of love, joy, value and happiness. It is so beautiful to have a harmonious mate that you can talk to anytime, to lean on, to help you, to share all the ups and downs in life, especially now. I miss that so much. I have admitted that my life was a struggle and I had so much to learn and made so many mistakes. But thanks to God's mercy and Grace, I firmly believe that I am a new man now, and changed for the better.
Warm Regards,
Tommy Schuckman

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'
As I write this today, I am shocked and saddened by the news from Nice, France. Scores dead and scores injured in one of the most horrific terrorist attacks I can imagine. Many children are among those brutally murdered in what can only be described as an act of pure, Satanic evil. Evil that can only be conceived in the mind of Satan himself, and perpetrated by those on this earth who do his bidding.
Several policemen were killed in the rampage and members of the police eventually ended the carnage by taking the life of the terrorist.
Yesterday's horror in France (which will forever haunt the lives of thousands of French citizens) sadly illustrates my discussion on the program this week. I will be reporting on the ambush of the police in Dallas, Texas last week, which claimed the lives of 5 policemen and wounded several more.
I will also share some of my thoughts about this tragedy.
Donald Trump said that the shootings in Dallas had "shaken the soul of the nation." He's right.
Hillary Clinton noted that, "We need more love and kindness." She's right, too.
Through Jesus Christ, God brings the fruit of the Spirit into the world: "Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." (Galatians 5:22-23 NASB) All of which, I might add, are in mighty short supply in our world today.
The world recognizes its need for these things. In fact, it is desperate for them and searches madly for them.
But you cannot have the fruit without the tree. You cannot dispose of Jesus Christ, then expect your society to be characterized by love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
But believers in Christ have a never-ending supply. In other words, Christ is the answer.
Our love for each other -- no matter the race or background -- is one of God's great witnesses to a world starving for love.
The Russian Duma, or parliament, recently passed new "anti-terrorism" legislation. Even the Russians, who are accustomed to a more restrictive society, realize that this goes beyond even what they are used to.
In fact, the Russians are calling the new legislation, the "Big Brother Laws." They allow for even greater levels of surveillance and government intrusion.
For instance, the Russian telecommunications companies will be required to hold all data -- not just the metadata -- but all data from all customers for six months. This includes everything -- actual recordings of every phone call and copies of every text and email.
Major media is not reporting on the shocking restrictions on religious liberty. Russia's new laws will require all evangelistic efforts to take place only within the confines of a church. And even there, the Christians must first apply for a government permit.
The legislation will make it illegal to email a friend an invitation to church or talk to someone about Christ, even in the privacy of one's home.
Some doubt that the Russians would go so far as to monitor what actually goes on in the homes of private citizens. But David Aikman, a former TIME magazine reporter who lived in and reported from Russia for many years, made this observation: "I don't think you can overestimate the Russian government's willingness to exert control."
We must earnestly pray for our Russian brothers and sisters in Christ who are now going to face monumental and life-altering decisions in their walk with Christ. Someday, and maybe soon, I believe we will need them to pray for us, too!
The Russian nation has been on an ever-darkening path throughout the Vladimir Putin years. Every day, Russia seems to more fully embrace her prophetic destiny. Ultimately, that means war with God!
Unbelievably, as amazing as it sounds, the State of California seems to be on the same track!
It seems to have decided that Christians are the one group whose constitutional rights can be safely diminished, and maybe eventually eliminated.
Writing for Christianity Today, Ed Stetzer said, "The California legislature is poised to consider legislation that could destroy the ability of numerous faith-based colleges and universities to pursue the mission for which they were created."
There are two similar bills before the California legislature. If passed and signed into law, they would force Christian universities to either adhere to the state's dogma on sexual orientation and gender identity or leave the state.
Proponents of new laws often say, "Don't worry. We include exemptions for faith-based institutions." But we all know how easily exemptions can be removed or "loopholes" filled.
It seems that California wants to respect the rights of everyone except those students who choose a Christ-centered education.
Even Iowa is getting in on the persecution.
The Alliance for Defending Freedom reports that state law in Iowa may soon make it illegal for a pastor to state the Biblical position on a host of issues. ADF says, "The speech ban could be used to gag churches from making any public comments... that could be viewed as unwelcome to persons who do not identify with their biological sex."
Folks, Satan is working overtime to shut up Christians and unleash his followers. And he's using America's institutions that were founded on His laws to do it. And Americans are standing idly by and letting him get away with it.
All of this may be the tip of the spear in the coming persecutions of Christians that the Bible predicts for the last days.
Finally, on a recent program, I discussed "salvation." This week, let's take a brief look under the hood and see what makes salvation work.
It's called "grace."
The Gospel is not something we mortals would have devised for ourselves. The concept is contrary to human nature.
The world-system says you get what you're due. The Gospel offers each of us not what we're due, but what Christ is due.
That is "grace."
The "Law" assumes we have human merit. That if we try hard enough, we can qualify to be accepted by God.
But God gave us the Law to show us that we can never completely fulfill it and earn salvation. It shows us how short we fall.
Law and grace are exact opposites. We could never merit or earn what God gives to us freely, as a gift.
To be "justified" by Christ doesn't just mean that you are without sin, it means that God has declared you to be as righteous as Jesus Christ.
The moment you believe He died in your place for your sins, you receive the pardon that He purchased. Immediately, in the court of Heaven, God judicially declares you to be as righteous as Christ is.
By grace, He makes you permanently acceptable to Him.
This is just the tip of the "grace" iceberg. Tune in this week and I'll examine "grace" more closely. It is so important that Christians understand their place in the Body of Christ and how secure they really are.
