Hi Friends,
Don't you just love it when well know, respected, scholars agree with you on important points today ?? Wow! It just strengthens my resolve and Faith and Trust in the Lord, and the KJV Bible ! Getting a constant stream of 'Bad News' every day from the boob tube, about Islam beheadings, by baby killings, Financial Melt Down, will weaken you and make you sad. But rather than sticking our heads in the sand with fear and confusion, real, studied Christians HAVE THAT HOPE AND PROMISE THAT WE ARE INDEED SAVED AND GOING TO HEAVEN ! !
Well, we still have to pay the bills on time and buy gas and food. I walk a narrow line, in my own mind [and my friends respect me, my comments, and ideas], about how much to "Prep." and store, like water, beans and rice... LOL, but I have to be BALANCED. Some key, special people in my life have been 'set there' by the Lord [IMHO] to help and direct me when I was down and out. I am doing much better now, PTL, but I never count my chickens before they hatch, or put my total faith in any human beings, because I know that they could fall, die, disappear, or be taken out by Satan and his demons. So, now you see, dear friends, in this subject, it is a delicate balance that we walk in this life. I pass out special bible tracts where ever I go, and did just that this morning at the grocery store, to another disabled combat Vet, and his wife, and also gave him my business card with phone number and email address. These are the kind of people I most like to help and direct to the small, old, Family Baptist Church that we attend every week. The preacher, Kevin Sullivan, is smarter, and more qualified to help others at church, and the fellowship of the kind people/ Congregation warms people up by just being there and shaking hands ~! It's like that old comparison of a family, large garden, full of fresh, organic veggies, etc., and the Christian, KJB teaching Church helping to share those veggies/ food, with people who stop by to get the delicious, life saving food !! Everyone works together and the fellowship, food and encouragement is so good for the soul !
Well, I had some important bills to mail today, and also went shopping for some prime food for the Super Bowl on Sunday, and wondering whom I could invite over for a good time and fellowship, but I know that I will have to bribe my wife to cook the steaks, etc.... as she is disinterested in being with me to watch that game. Hey! I prayed 4 years of high school foot ball, too, and I still enjoy the game ! I got to look up what time the game starts, but I will be at church no matter what tomorrow, unless I cannot walk. We have a great guard dog/ Rottweiler boy and I like him as company. I know that he will guard my wife to the death, if need be. And he just loves kids! My last Rottweiler was smarter, but not everyone has the same IQ....boo hoo. Even folks with HIGH I.Q.'s make silly, foolish mistakes in life... just look at me ! Ha! The bible says: 'That too much stress will make a wise on act crazy.' ~Proverbs?
I called my fleshly brother, Albert, yesterday, who lives near Burlington, WI., about his prior ankle fracture that he got playing football, at Waterford H.S., and what kind of footwear would make MY broken ankle feel better. He said: 'A good pair of high work boots.' You see, when you humble yourself to ask advice from another person, you make him/ her feel good and elevate them with honor, by asking for their wisdom. But my brother does have an expertise in many areas, so why not defer to him. And I like to keep in touch with my friends and relatives, if they are so inclined to answer my calls... lol. Just like, I email and ask my friend, Greg, a Navy Vet, questions that I know he can help me and steer me too places to get what I need. We would be truly lost without our PC's and email/ InterNet services, but the time may come when the Gov't may want to control that Freedom too !! Actually, most of my friends think that it's only a matter of time, and Obama may not even finish his term before the SHTF, and the economic/ financial melt down. If you do NOTHING to Prepare for this eventuality, just who's fault will it be ? ? ? Just do a little bit every day, write things down, plan and pray.
Warm Regards,
Tom

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'
My friend, the late Paul Crouch, used to chide me about the title of my book, "Satan is Alive and Well on Planet Earth." He said I gave the devil too much credit. Paul would say, "He's alive, but he's not well." He said it in a good-natured way and I was never offended. I also knew he was making a serious point. Satan is a defeated enemy. He's headed for hell, a place created specifically for him and his cohorts. It is Satan's destiny to bow down before Jesus Christ, and to confess that Jesus is Lord. But, until then, Satan has a major role in God's plan. When I wrote "Satan is Alive and Well on Planet Earth" back in 1972, college campuses were buzzing with "spirituality." Their mantra seemed to be: "All that is spiritual is good, except for Biblical Christianity." The Church of Satan had been founded in San Francisco just six years earlier. "The Exorcist," one of the biggest box office hits of all time, was about to arrive on the scene. There is an ebb and flow to these things, but over the forty years since that time, the world has continued its dramatic move toward spiritual darkness. The secret rituals of yesteryear have given way to a new open emphasis on Satan. A few months ago, I told you about Katy Perry's Grammy Awards performance. She performed what appeared to be a Satanic ritual. In fact, some who were present insist she summoned Satan onto the stage! Today, it seems there's a new competitiveness among entertainers to each be more evil than the other. What attracts men to Satan? It's called the "sin nature," something all human beings must confront. The problem today is that Satan can be influential enough when he's not seen, but when he's made the center of things, he can be downright devastating. How bad can it get? In the Old Testament, when the people had turned fully from God, they came to the point of sacrificing their own children to their new demon gods. (Jeremiah 7:30-31) It's hard to imagine such a thing happening in America. But in those same forty-odd years since my book came out, Americans have sacrificed more than 54 million children on the altar of promiscuity and convenience. Back in 1972 when I said Satan was alive and well, I was right. In 2014, he's still alive and, in every measurable way, he's become an even bigger success in the intervening years. But Paul Crouch was right, too. Satan is a defeated foe. His doom is sure. Contrary to what President Obama declared in his speech to the Turkish parliament a few years ago, America IS a Christian nation. Just ask the CIA! At the time, the CIA World Factbook gave the stats to prove that the United States is the most Christian country on earth. Now that's information compiled from strictly secular census data, not based on the Biblical definition of a Christian. But it doesn't really matter to the rest of the world. They have no problem identifying America as the world's representative Christian nation. That's why the Muslims see a giant bull's eye when they look at the United States. (And it probably doesn't help when they watch American television and movies and see us portrayed as rich, greedy, lascivious, lazy, moronic, self-centered, foul-mouthed, sex-obsessed, and gender-bending perverts!) However, as authentically Christian as it really is, America doesn't seem to be present in the prophecies of the Tribulation period. The Apostle Paul offers perfect descriptions of a declining, self-imploding society (America?) in the run-up to the Tribulation, but it seems to be absent from the action of that terrible time. The Apostle John even describes the modern church in his depiction of the church at Laodicea. But there's no America having an impact on the Tribulation scenario. Why? I'll discuss possible explanations this week. Finally, I'll take a few moments to remind all of us that, no matter how confusing or threatening or frightening the future appears, we are of all men the most blessed because we have hope -- a blessed hope!
