Hi Friends, Email Buddies and Kind Readers,
I am so happy again, to have stumbled across this great web site/ ministry of Hal Lindsey today, and it tickled me pink to read some of his stuff because it has been a 'bone of contention' for a long time, albeit COMMON SENSE trumps most everything. Usually, IMHO, in my humble opinion, Mr. Hal Lindsey, seems like a bold, but Conservative, well spoken gentleman. But today, he makes a good, biblical point about 'Arming Up,' protecting yourselves and your families, which is only normal, natural, a God-given Right.
In both cases, the ancient sword was a 'utilitarian tool' that could be used for many things, including chopping wood, butchering animals for food, but also for self defense. Modern day guns, pistols and rifles/ shot guns are much the same... good for hunting, delicious, life saving meat/ animals, fowl, but also saving you and your loved ones from the murdering, rampaging mobs, rioters, looters, rapists and roving bands of drug- headed punks and criminals. I would never tell the public or strangers how many or what type of arms I possess and have, for obvious reasons--- read: 'BIG BROTHER,' etc. But I also have a bow and arrows, and teach the right kind of people how to sharpen and how to throw tomahawks and knives, accurately.
Hal Lindsey also adds something new to the equation today.... the fact that the Chinese and prob other hostile countries COULD push the right buttons to bring down our national grid to knock out our electricity and power !! Transportation systems, communications, etc. And we were worried about a solar flare or an EMP device. Well, in the past some of my own 'Christian brethren' poked fun at me because I like to store a few things I get on sale, and think of ways to survive in a emergency situation, buy books own first aid, natural medicine, and 'low tech' ways, just in case. But thru the years I have mostly marched to the beat of my own drum cadence, sorry, and I didn't do all that badly. I have paid off all my bills a few times in my life, but I know that I will never be rich. I love my creature comforts like Central A/ C, modern heat, and a clean nice house, THANKING THE LORD for enough money to pay the bills and invest a tiny bit. Yet, sometimes accidents happen, just like my wife falling down and injuring her Left shoulder yesterday, possibly injuring her 'rotor cuff.' One can never be too proud and pompous. In my opinion, that would be a recipe for destruction, and it would not be pleasing to the Lord. The book of James says that our lives are but a mist, or VAPOR, here today and gone tomorrow, so why should we act like something special.... except that we real Christians ARE Saved and know we are going to heaven, only because we put our Faith in Jesus and try to follow and obey Him in everything.
If we go back in bible history and see all the people that God saved from certain destruction, it was mostly always a FRACTION of the population and not the majority, because MOST humans are so sinful, proud and full of themselves, listening to their father, Satan the devil, instead of Jehovah God, our heavenly Father, and His only begotten Son, Jesus. And just like this coming event and world distress, the majority will not listen to or read the Bible, but just go about their rat race lives until it is too late.... as they will be 'Left Behind' after the Rapture of the Elect... the Saints. So why in the world would I even pay heed to what the world of mankind think of me? They have never helped nor supported me before when I needed someone ! But when I was at the end of my rope, homeless, afraid, needy, I got on my knees and begged God for help, admitting my sins and promising to follow Jesus forever more. That is when things started getting better for me, and I will never forget that time ! I am not too excited by women who try to manipulate, nag, rag, and control me, either... Ha! I just want to be at peace as best and as long as I can, while growing in Christ, also 'Prepping' for any emergencies down the pike.

This week on 'The Hal Lindsey Report'
In Boston last week, some 200 people attended a funeral service at the Mosque for the Praising of Allah. They were mourning the death of Usaama Rahim. What's so unusual about that, you say? Well, Rahim was killed while plotting terror acts against the United States.
He was stopped for questioning by a Boston policeman and an FBI agent. He charged them with a knife and was gunned down in self defense by the officers.
Immediately, Rahim's brother, an imam at a mosque in Oakland, California, announced that his brother was shot in the back by Boston police while he sat on a bus stop bench waiting for his bus to take him to work. He even had his father on the phone and he heard it all happen.
The mainstream media reported this announcement as if the imam had been an eyewitness to the brutal murder by the police.
Then they discovered that a nearby surveillance camera had recorded the entire incident. I guess you could say the truth came out.
Rahim was not on his cell phone. He was not shot in the back. His father could not have heard the shooting and his alleged last words: "I can't breathe!"
Ooops!
So the imam had to walk back his earlier announcement. But he still defended his brother as "...an American youth... passionate and loyal to his ideas and his ideals." He also declared that his was a "...typical middle-class American family... proud citizens of this country."
Maybe the family, but not Usaama. And not his nephew David Wright, who has since been arrested for joining his uncle's conspiracy. They were both inspired by ISIS and planned to behead some of their fellow Americans.
This is what keeps Homeland Security officials up at night. This "typical... American family," practicing a "moderate" version of Islam right here in America, had produced a monster.
And it's not an isolated event. Moderate Muslim parents teach their children to revere the Koran. But when they study and follow the Koran literally, it sets them up to be radicalized.
FBI Director James Comey calls ISIS in America a "chaotic spider web." He said that the FBI has "investigations of people in various stages of radicalizing in all 50 states."
And ISIS and other Muslim jihadist groups have people out there in force, frantically recruiting and radicalizing. One inmate in a Florida prison has reportedly created over 150 radical jihadi followers that are being watched by law enforcement officials. And he's shackled and in solitary confinement!
Folks, jihad is not coming to America, it's already here!
Well, the United Nations took a run at Israel again this week.
At the insistence of Human Rights Watch, the UN strongly considered adding Israel to its annual "List of Shame." This infamous list names the worst children's rights violators on earth.
It includes ISIS, Boko Haram, and al-Qaeda. Human Rights Watch tried desperately to get Israel included in that list. Supposedly for offenses that occurred during last year's war with Hamas.
The U.S. worked hard to keep Israel off that list. Secretary-General Ban ki Moon makes the final decision about who will be on the list, and he finally decided to omit Israel. But then, to be politically correct, I suppose, he left Hamas off the list, too. They're not included even though they dug tunnels underneath Israeli kindergartens and intended to detonate explosives beneath the schools. They also intended to kidnap Israeli children and hold them as hostages.
If that doesn't warrant inclusion in the "List of Shame," what does?
But Secretary Ban couldn't resist warning Israel that next year may be different. He said, "The unprecedented and unacceptable scale of the impact on children in 2014 raises grave concerns about Israel's compliance with international humanitarian law...."
As the Bible predicts, Israel will be a constant irritation to the rest of the world. So much so that the world goes to its final war over it.
And Hillary Clinton thought her personal server was secure enough for her sensitive State Department communications? Last week, the government announced that the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) was hacked for the second time in less than a year. Probably by the Chinese.
The latest reports indicate that the private records of every federal employee - more than 4 million - were accessed. Now the hackers not only know Social Security numbers, but who has high-level security clearances and who doesn't -- and why.
This is just the latest in a series of high profile "hacks" of the federal government that we know about. Who knows how many more there have been that we don't know about! Hackers have successfully breached security at the State Department, the White House, and the Pentagon, among others.
It's almost unnerving to think about the amount of information, both sensitive and non-sensitive -- that our enemies now have. From our government's collection of connected computer systems, our adversaries can learn about everything from next-generation weapons to the sexual activities of Americans in key governmental and private sector positions.
But maybe a worse danger is that America's computers run everything, including our electrical grids, transportation systems, communications systems, banks, and financial markets, just to name a few. If a foreign government can take control of any one among various U.S. computer systems, it could effectively shut down the nation.
And, finally, most people think of Jesus as the ultimate pacifist. The original "turn the other cheek" guy. Not so. In fact, on the night of the Passover, Jesus told His disciples to arm up. Well, at least He told them to sword up. He said that, if necessary, they should sell their robes to buy a sword. (Luke 22:35-36)
Apparently, He felt that the world they were about to face was going to be a pretty dangerous place. But by telling them to buy a sword, He was not telling them to be violent. He was telling them to be responsible for their own safety and the safety of their families.
Today's equivalent to the sword would be the gun. Now, I'm not advocating that you go out and buy a gun. Many of you live in places where it's illegal to own a weapon or you may think it too dangerous because you have small children in the house.
But I'm telling you that you need to take an active role in planning for your own safety and well-being, and that of your family. Take note of what is happening around you, where events are headed, and do some planning for the future. And if that includes thoughtfully arming yourself, then do it in a responsible manner.
Statistics show that an armed citizenry actually means less violence in the society, not more.
As we prepare for the rocky road ahead to Christ's return, put your faith in God's protective power and His provision for our lives. But also remember that, in most areas of our lives, God wants us to be His partners. He wants us to rely on Him, but He also wants us to be responsible stewards. He wants us in the loop. He wants us to be members of the team.
And if we step up and take that responsibility, the amazing thing is that the God who created the whole universe will be your partner.
