Hey! I can certainly relate to this new article, all about 'superbug infections !!' Just like the Civil War [or... "War between the States.."], when a soldier got shot, he usually got a limp cut off, because at that time, with limited clean conditions in their MASH field hospitals and limited anti-biotics, it was more timely to just hack off the arm or leg. I had the privilege to tour the College of Medicine in the D.C. area, amid many other very interesting places, exhibits, Institutes and free places, although our main thrust was the Vietnam War Memorial, with an old buddy of mine, who also served with the 240th AHC, in Vietnam, Walt Weber, and fine wife, Mary. He passed away about 5-6 years ago... bless his pea pickin' heart... He was a fellow door gunner in my old Aviation outfit, and a kind man, IMHO.
Anyway, I am now hyper alert to all scratches and wounds that MIGHT develop into any kind of infection. But, I also am aware of anytime I enter the VAMC place where I go, too many times.... but I need to clear up some major challenges/ problems, that ONE, SOUR, too full of himself, 'doctor' Bombay dropped on me a month ago. Hummmm, let's see now... how to rectify a major problem without getting burned myself ... duh ? I don't ever want to be "treated" by that East Indian man, again. And personally, I don't much care what a man's point of origin, color, race, height or species is !!! As long as he treats me with the simple respect and dignity coming to me --- and nothing more !!
The beautiful days of Summer, U.P. here, are richly valued, and revered !! I just want to extract the most out of them BEFORE the snow flies again, dear Lord. I have pretty much wasted the whole Summer healing up from my motorcycle mishap, and accompanying infection ! If finally, the skin comes together and CLOSES again, I will throw a nice, big, back yard, Bar B Q !! Time t0o buy another chair for outside company. And I will NOT miss the healing qualities of the Sun, Mr. Sun !
OK, One more time ! Because of too many personal observations of doctors, and a few things that I saw in Vietnam, a gentle loathing for egotistical doctors and hospital staff --- I try hard to stay away from the so-called, "Medical Community." So, about 30 years ago I embarked upon a mission to read, study and memorize many healing Herbs, and nutrients that benefited my own health concerns, and others too. I do my daily regimen of Herbs, I believe in them, and they help me. But "Medical Doctors" usually laugh at me and smile, as they KNOW NOTHING ABOUT HERBS.... because the AMA doesn't credit them, and the Big Pharma, can't make any money from them !!! Since they are not "regulated" no money can be squeezed from them... sorry ! And yes, it's ALL ABOUT THAT GREAT ALMIGHTY DOLLAR ! Remedy: Go and study what works for you in the Herb world, and then stock up. I recently went to a Farmer's Store and bought a Veterinary solution that heals animals eyes from problems, and IT WORKED ON OUR NEW DOG'S EYES that were watery !! I would not keep an animal/ pet that was diseased or in pain, on our property ! And my cousin's wife, also works in a Animal Clinic, and is super smart about such things. And also from a Prepper's point of view --- perhaps doctors won't be around when you need them, in the near future... BE PREPARED ! And yes, I was a Boy Scout, too.
