Rep. Paul Ryan of WI does well.

Praise to our Wisconsin, hard working State Rep., Paul Ryan!!
But we all know that our conservatives would have NEVER got their hearing/ meeting if it had not been bought by Senator-elect Brown's recent win in MA. Obama is trying to mend fences now that he HAS to 'be nice' for a while... lol. His total arrogance and condescending attitude lecturing the GOP at the meeting today was still insulting-- treating the conservative members as school boys, IMHO. Obama's pompous words remind me of King Belshazzar of ancient Babylon before the divine hand of God wrote on the wall... just before his down fall... lol. See Daniel 5: 24-31.

I USED TO BE TOO FULL OF MYSELF--leaking pride all over the place-- until the Lord 'straightened me out...' and helped me to fly right. Isn't it funny how humble people seem to avoid so much hurt, misery, and injury in their lives? In my opinion, serious Bible study is the best place to learn proper humility... but for most of us, it's still a daily struggle. Really, all my life's 'achievements' aren't worth a hill of beans compared to the riches and glory God will bestow on the Saved in Heaven! PTL.

Thank you, Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, for your your hard, smart, fine work for all Americans who love Freedom and Justice! You got MY vote!

President Obama Highlights Ryan’s Roadmap

Obama recognizes Ryan’s efforts, calls reform plan a “legitimate” solution

Wisconsin’s 1st District Congressman Paul Ryan continues his push for alternative solutions, garnering praise from President Obama for putting forth his Roadmap for America’s Future. The President commended Ryan for his Roadmap proposal, calling it “detailed” and a “legitimate” plan to tackle our fiscal crisis. President Obama spoke at the GOP Retreat in Baltimore earlier today, and discussed entitlement reform and additional budget challenges with Ryan. Following the productive exchange, Ryan issued the following statement:

“President Obama proved to be an honest broker this afternoon in acknowledging our unsustainable fiscal path. The President highlighted a serious proposal to tackle our entitlement crisis. Reflecting the deteriorating economic and fiscal condition since first released in 2008, I put forward ‘A Roadmap for America’s Future 2.0’ earlier this week to fulfill the mission of health and retirement security, lift the crushing burden of debt, and boost jobs and competitiveness in the 21st century global economy.

“I applaud the President for rejecting his Democratic colleagues’ false ‘Party of No’ attacks. Tackling our economic and fiscal challenges require real solutions and serious dialogue. I look forward to working with the President on rising above the partisan attacks – and tackling our generation’s greatest challenges.”

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EXCHANGE:

President Obama: I think Paul [Ryan], for example, the head of the Budget Committee, has looked at the budget and has made a serious proposal. I’ve read it. I can tell you what’s in it. And there’s some ideas in there that I would agree with but there’s some ideas we should have a healthy debate about because I don’t agree with them.” The major driver of our long-term liabilities, everybody here knows, is Medicare and Medicaid and our health care spending. Nothing comes close. That’s going to be what our children have to worry about. Now, Paul’s approach, and I want to be careful not to simplify this, I know you’ve got a lot of detail in your plan, but, if I understand it correctly, would say, we’re going to provide vouchers of some sort for current Medicare recipients at the current level – No?

Congressman Ryan: No – we protect the program for Americans 55 and above [those in and near retirement]…

Obama: I understand – there’s a grandfathering in….That’s why I said I wanted to make sure that I’m not being unfair to your proposal. I just want to point out that I’ve read it, and the basic idea would be that, at some point, we hold Medicare cost per recipient constant as a way of making sure that that doesn’t go way out of whack, and I’m sure there some details…

Ryan: We increase the Medicare payments with a blend of inflation and health inflation. The point of our plan is, because Medicare as you know is a $38 trillion unfunded liability.

Obama: Right.

Ryan: It has to be reformed for younger generations because it won’t exist. It’s going bankrupt. The premise of our idea is look, why not give people the same kind of health care plan we here have in Congress? That’s the kind of reform we’re proposing for Medicare. [applause]

Obama: As I said before, this is an entirely legitimate proposal. …There is a political vulnerability to doing anything that tinkers with Medicare. And that’s probably the biggest savings that are obtained through Paul’s plan. And I raise that, not because we shouldn’t have a serious discussion about it, I raise that because we’re not going to be able to do anything about any of these entitlements if what we do is characterize whatever proposals are put out there as well, you know, that’s the other party being irresponsible….

By Bill WilsonThe message that the man who occupies the Oval Office wanted the American public to hear was: "we got your message." And perhaps he and the houses of Congress controlled by his party did "get" what the American people are saying. But the arrogance of Washington, DC's exclusive club of politicians and their collective goal of a one world order humanist socialist nation are driving

Not to thump my chest, but this is a true story that we can ALL be proud of [collectively] as Americans. I believe this happened BEFORE I got to the 240thAHC-- Aviation Company in Vietnam, as I was serving at that time in a different Aviation outfit in RVN one year before this incident with USARV on my first tour of duty. Every day dozens of battles took place-- but in different parts of that war torn nation, and years later we are still putting the pieces of the puzzle back together. Men and Metal were tested to the limits, and those of us who came home alive knew that we were special and unique. Not bragging -- just stating a cold hard fact. When the 'people who were protected' later sought public office, like obama, even in their gross ignorance/ inexperience, who now sit in the clean, air conditioned White House and act so arrogantly pushing their socialist agenda and APOLOGIZING FOR AMERICA -- we combat Veterans whistle in amazement at their lack of understanding in so many areas.... Ha!

About 30 years later, my wife and I attended a great Army Aviation Company Reunion at WRIGHT-PAT AFB in Dayton, OH, where the true stories were told and there was a 'Great Healing' of the Spirit of wounded soldiers with PTSD and many other challenges. There were many speakers there at the main dinner gathering, but I remember Joe "Ragman" Tarnovsky getting emotional [as we all did] when welcoming the son of the famed Green Beret, Roy Benevedez, the CMH recipient .... [Congressional Medal of Honor], who worked with our 240th AHC [
Assault Helicopter Company] from BearCat, Vietnam-- 1968. Some people have speculated that this story would later be made into a movie-- but what is left of those involved will always hold this story dear and with pride. Feel free to check this story out a few hundred times.
