Well, Here is some more 'Food for Thought' amid a crazy world, folks. We want to be well anchored in stormy times, and have a battle plan, ME THINKS. I can then go back to this site in my leisure -- if there still is such a thing.
With me, I have my own system of sorting things out, and that is: My calendar, Private Notebooks and Journals, Check book, etc. First and foremost, 'PAY ALL YOUR BILLS' and accord to them a "Priority" status of, perhaps, One, Two and Three --or a color code type. Everyone needs a "System" to work by, a time, place, state of mind... true organization. Sorry to be so Pragmatic this early in the morning, like: August 5th, Monday, 0808 hours, 2013. The first thing I do is to look on my calendar [or you guys might work from a 'Day Planner' or a cell phone. But then, I [Thank You, Lord!] AM retired, and also gently nudging my dear wife into that mode too right now. That means learning to live on less, have a greater part/ place in getting involved in planning, financial UNDERSTANDINGS, available funds, main goals, and sorting things out, serving God Almighty. My Terri is the kind of girl who 'needs' to be working non-stop with her hands, making, creating, building, constructing things, volunteering at church, and helping others, nurturing, etc. Where I have a more relaxed routine, being totally retired, ever in search of more knowledge, helping others, Blogging, writing, emailing, wood carving, intense Bible study and Financial management/ tweaking. I figure that having worked very hard all my life, saved, invested, making my share of mistakes and 'figuring things out' [too many times, the HARD WAY] --- now MY time is spent getting closer to my Lord and Savior, and rubbing elbows with people of like Faith, and sharing that experience in the "End Times"... also surviving and struggling with serious injuries, and dire physical disabilities, and conditions.... like arthritis, COPD, Combat PTSD, and 'VA --messed up bionic knees.'
I wanted to say, that I have given up quite a lot by moving so far U.P. North --of Green Bay, WI., but that there is a 'trade off' of sorts. We have loud mouthed crows up here.... 'caw-caw-caw !!' during the day, but not the constant pounding of big trucks and cars running past my old house, like back in Union Grove, WI., -- which is NOT a destination, but a place that people "drive through!" U.P. here it's the All-American, clean, simple, healthy,. lumber jack, hard working, Mid-Western atmosphere, except a bit colder and more remote. The beautiful MOUNTAIN area, some farming and huge woods/ forest areas and hills! Up here, a good, reliable pick-up truck and a bow and arrows will get you some 'good meat/ venison, wild turkey, bear, and other tasty treats on the table !' This IS the epitome of the great outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping, getting close to Nature, GOOD TIMES edition, and common sense, KJV Bible honoring, and worshipping of God the Father, thru His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ ! Life is hard -- but it CAN be had, with a sober mind, proper All-American basic family values, according to God' own Word.
And yet, we are a mere key stroke away from the harsh reality of war, killing, murders and rapes, robberies, race riots, of the big cities like Detroit, Milwaukee and Chicago, and the entire world that is about to explode soon enough. Just as if the day were sunny, warm and care free -- and then a long line of dark clouds with high winds and heavy rain in on the horizon warns us to take shelter.
Time for me to 'get to work' and do things that are more productive, like take the new female dog, "Stella" out side. Terri prides herself on the dog's training progress, but we know that it's going to be a long time, before she EVER matches the obedience and temperament level of "Old Deuce" our past Rottweiler.
