Hello Friends,
I texted an old buddy who moved to Alabama, and he said their air temp. was, 70 degrees F. !! Up where I live in the frigid North, we have 10 degrees above. There are benefits from living in both places, IF you have someone to dine with, talk to, have fun with, and engage in pleasant, intelligent conversation with... Thank God that I have my Computer and Cell phone ! At least I can call my dear, 0ld Mom every day to see how she is doing, and she is in her late 80's, but I care for her so much, of course, and love to hear her voice. She worked very hard raising us 5 kids on the farm, all alone without too much people to talk to.
I told a few people that the recent holidays were kind of rough on me, being alone at that time, but now I seem to have a new, better, mindset, and also finding another relationship with some woman is not all that important to me now.... because I surmise that things might move rapidly pretty soon, and by that, I mean in the next 3-4 months before the Spring thaw. But now, I DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING I HEAR OR READ !! The drift towards new and "better things" when real 'Law and Order' come back into vogue, and realization, with the Trump Administration, will be so interesting. Just read some of that note worthy stuff below, and I am also interested in the 'dry, slow, boring material,' about Precious Metals... gold, silver, platinum, palladium and copper, etc. Hey, I know and realize that most of my readers think that is way out of their realm and ability to purchase... so they think. That means: 1/2 oz., 1/4, 1/ 10th Oz. coins of gold, silver, etc., and I always say that 'SOME MONEY is better than NOW money.' Some food and water, is better than NO food and water. Some love is much better than NO love at all !!
Well, then some folks always say that you cannot eat silver... and they are right ! And so there are so many other ways to prepare, Prep, get ready, practice, learn to live with less, and learn how to do special things with your hands and minds. Now days, some women who are good with a sewing machine, can make some spare change on the side, some are great bakers, canners, gardeners, and love to raise furry, cute, rabbits and chickens ! What a hungry man wouldn't give for a fine, roasted rabbit on the Weber grill, with a little bit of Bar-B-Q sauce on it !! Make your own beer, wine, juices, clothes, and fix small motors !
I used to have a small wood working side business when I was out of work/ laid off from AMC/ Chrysler, in Kenosha, WI., and made storm windows to help insulate houses for people who were smart about insulating their homes to cut the cost of heating in the Winter, but also the A/C in the Summer time ! A table saw, router, and other tools are an INVESTMENT ! Down South and up North, a pick up truck is an investment too, and today I had my 4WD on all the way to town to get some lunch, and some KFC. It was so slippery today ! I really got a work out just walking thru the tall snow banks at home just to get to my poor, old truck ! People have heart attacks over that stuff, and just fall over and DIE !
Yes, I have a lot to thank the Lord for... just before I fall off to sleep at night. And after I finish praying, sometimes I turn on my little transitor radio for music and news.
