Oh, What a Night.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

What a night-- and what a morning! My wife fell down AGAIN last night at 7:34PM and got bloodied. Then her back started hurting her and she got out of bed at 0230 hours and fell down again. I tried hard to get her up but her legs/ knees buckled and she fell again breaking the toilet tank cover. Remember that she fell this past Sunday right before church and hurt the temple/ side of her head-- blood all over the bathroom.

Question: Why is it that so many ladies have the "prideful women's foolish attitude mindset" when the husband makes himself available to help his spouse ?? Must be the way a person is raised, huh? Well, her Visiting Nurses RN, Ann, is here at the house now, and I will take Sharon back to see her doctor this very after noon. The air temp should be 85 degrees today, and I expected my son to finish the painting of the house too, when he gets out of work. Ahhh, so much for a peaceful retirement, for an old, disabled war horse, after 30 years on the AMC/ Chrysler assembly line.... LOL. I was dismayed to find out that I MUST check each and every piece of snail mail, even after retirement, because it just might be something important-- although 98% of the stuff I get is junk mail. Same with my computer and spam.

I like good cliches and axioms--- and Murphy's Laws[book]. "A parachute is like the human mind-- it only works when open." And, "If anything can go wrong-- it will."
But the book of Proverbs is the very best --of good, helpful, healthful sayings, IMO. If only all of us were taught to study God's Proverbs when we were young-- we might not have had to FALL DOWN SO OFTEN and get bloodied! But on the other hand, well trained soldiers STILL HAVE TO TASTE COMBAT AND BATTLE to be "baptized" properly. The Infantry cherish the CIB [Combat Infantry Badge], and Aviators are proud of their crew member wings and Air Medals. Just like at American Motors Corp., etc., they have a man called an inspector [quality control] who comes around with a hammer and chisel to try and break open my welds to "test" their strength . That has to be done to insure quality! They crash new cars off the assembly line on purpose to see where the weak spots are, so they can make better, safer cars and trucks.

For the past 6000 years, according to the Bible, mankind has been 'tested' as a "free moral agents" created by God. God does not test us, per say... but in the case of Job, God allowed the devil to 'touch' Job to see if Job would remain a true servant of Jehovah, the Father in Heaven. Yes, there is a difference! Here is where the real discernment comes into play, and many people are confused. Don't forget that we humans were born into this world of SIN-- as Adam 'totally blew the game' for all of us in the garden of Eden, and passed on sin to the whole world of mankind. If you need further response/ info -- just email me or comment, please. I only answer and publish comments from legit people who have a return address and a real name.

Some of us have to put up with more pain and trouble than others-- and this is a "test" too. Since we all will have some sort of calamity in our lives, death in the family, sickness, injuries, loss of job and home, finance challenges-- the bible says that NOTHING out of the ordinary will be sent our way that a human cannot survive-- known to man. What really matters is HOW WE WEATHER THE STORM! Personally, in my past life, I have failed miserably because I trusted in my own talents, inherent abilities and strength.... instead of humbling myself under the mighty hand of God [the Holy Spirit-- especially]. Maybe you can learn from some of MY mistakes and spare yourselves the pain and sorrow or being proud and haughty, or too independent. Satan loves to promote Womens' Lib, Racism, Nationalism, Socialism, PRIDE and materialism! The humble servant of God is NOT A WIMP or sissy, but a well trained, smart, wise, brave Christian soldier! Soldiers WILL FALL sometimes-- but they always get up again to fight and defend! We will continue to make mistakes and sin [not on purpose] but we KNOW FOR SURE WHERE WE ARE GOING WHEN WE DIE [or get Raptured]. That is a good, smart, encouraging thought when we are facing the 'giants' of illness and pain.
I have heard too many times--- people who are worried, concerned and confused that their sins are 'too bad' for them to go to heaven-- and that is totally WRONG! Jesus died for ALL MANKIND and Salvation is for every human on earth IF THEY ACCEPT JESUS AS THEIR PERSONAL LORD AND SAVIOR!! Get it? This may sound too 'simplistic', but it's the Word of God! Reject Christ and you lose out BIG TIME-- and hell is a real place of torment according to Jesus own words. What ever your problems are, or sins-- the Bible says that all can be forgiven, past, present and future, and the HOLY SPIRIT can and will help you "put on the new man [personality that is pleasing to God]." Ponder on this fact -- but don't sit on the fence and wonder about it too long, friends. I need the HOLY SPIRIT every day too to deal with my own crisis and struggles.

Thank you all for your prayers and support/ comments, in regards to my wife and I.

Warm Regards,
Tom Schuckman
