<<< here is a picture of Sharon hoeing the Schuckman Victory Garden a few years ago, before she had heart problems. We are having a good crop this year too!

President_sDay9.wmv

What a down pour of rain we had today in Wisconsin! And much needed for our gardens, grass, crops, and aquifers, etc. Sharon got a 2 hour hair cut, etc this morning and she likes it. We then went to the Brat Stop for a prime rib sandwich and then came home and got the mail. Sharon got a bill from the Union Grove/ Yorkville Fire Dept for the "ambulance service" when she had congestive heart failure on 5-13-09, and the goofy baboons almost croaked my wife! All they were interested in was the fee for the ride to the wrong hospital, and they jerked us around with exaggerated, exacerbated paperwork after we begged them to help get her in to MY OWN VEHICLE as I took her to the CORRECT Kenosha hospital that her own heart specialist directed us to !! And the incompetent, slack jawed monkeys want $573.79 for the 'non-event.' They were so rude and pushy, and a policeman saw and heard the whole thing [and I believe he was on OUR side]. My wife feels the same way I do on this matter, and she used to be an advanced EMT.

In a way these small hick town oafs remind me of the corrupt VA system-- except that the VA has gotten a bit better lately in Milwaukee... LOL. Don't worry folks, if Obama has his way, the rest of America is due the same consideration/ care in the very near future... Woo Woo!
For the so-called 'services rendered' we believe we are getting ripped off... but we will pay the bill.

One of my good Christian friends who is also a Vietnam Vet just bought a new Chrysler auto, and it made me think about my own circumstance of getting a full length cargo van to hold our 2 power chair/ scooters so we BOTH can be more mobile when we travel. I almost have the "old" 2005 Dodge Caravan paid off, and the Ram truck can't get both chairs in comfortably without scratching them all up or damaging them. But I keep getting the bad stomach feeling again that I may be biting off too much right now when I expect the economy to tank and hurt most of the WORKING CLASS/ Middle Class people in America. And the new vehicle would have to have the correct 'lift' mounted somehow/ someway. Well, now my wife tells me that her CHAMPVA might pay for a lift to be put in the '05 Dodge Caravan. We will have to pray about this subject more.

Tomorrow it should be VERY hot and humid, but we will be just fine.
Have a great day.

Alan Keyes on Obama

http://chroniclewatch.blogspot.com/2009/08/alan-keyes-on-obama.html

When things got rough while I was laid off from a good job at AMC/ Chrysler I went back to school to study more welding and related subjects at the Milwaukee Area Tech College and got into a temporary Gov't housing [VPC] [run by a black organization that treated the white Veterans badly, with intimidation, etc] in a Milwaukee crime area jungle, [35th and Wells Street] and I got to see first hand how things were in 'the Ghetto.' It was like the 'Planet of the Apes' where everything was 'upside down', very corrupt, dirty and extremely dangerous. I heard other people including some Black Staff members saying that they had to use their Army training to survive in that environment! Those 6 months at Vet's Place Central were very scary and made many of us [even the Black displaced and homeless Veterans] anxious. I carry those bad times with me in the heart, and I have NEVER witnessed such prejudice and bias in my entire life! People used Food Stamps to buy anything including drugs, and prostitutes sold themselves for $5 just to buy more 'Crack' cocaine and smoke it. It was very smart to stay sober so as not to fall into 'temptation' and get HIV and STD. Those folks even had their own peculiar brand of ghetto English that other good, hard working Blacks couldn't understand, and I can elaborate on this via personal email. I have many Black Christian friends who are the salt of the Earth whom I expect to see in Heaven! There is good and bad in ALL races and we ALL came from Adam and Eve. However, the Lord directed the Apostle Paul to go WEST on his missionary tours/ preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ... not East. Right now, I don't exactly know the reason why, but Abraham's union with the slave girl, Hagar, produced the races/ nations of people that plagued Israel even until now! Go figure. We are so blessed in the USA for having the FREEDOM to hear and accept the Gospel, Bible and Lord Jesus Christ without fear of being jailed, tortured and murdered like many other nations on earth, like China, SA, Indonesia, India, and all Muslim lands!! I encourage you ALL to check out: The Voice of the Martyrs. thevoice@vom-usa.org
www.persecution.com

I have the happiness and JOY to be able to contribute a monthly gift to that fine Christian Org. as they continue to help, support Christian in persecuted lands and give them the forbidden Bibles they desire. PTL!

That was the time that I started keeping a Journal to record all the strange things I saw and heard-- intending to write a book latter, but after I finally got called back to Chrysler in 1995, I got sidetracked and back to reality, the way I was raised by my hard working middle class parents on the farm in S.E. Wisconsin. I know that the following is true.

BUCHANAN TO OBAMA
By Patrick J. Buchanan

Barack says we need to have a conversation about race in America . Fair enough. But this time, it has to be a two-way conversation. White America needs to be heard from, not just lectured to.. This time, the Silent Majority needs to have its convictions, grievances and demands heard. And among them are these:

First, America has been the best country on earth for black folks. It was here that 600,000 black people, brought from Africa in slave ships, grew into a community of 40 million, were introduced to Christian salvation, and reached the greatest levels of freedom and prosperity blacks have ever known. Wright ought to go down on his knees and thank God he is an American.

Second, no people anywhere has done more to lift up blacks than white Americans. Untold trillions have been spent since the ' 60s on welfare, food stamps, rent supplements, Section 8 housing, Pell grants, student loans, legal services, Medicaid, Earned Income Tax Credits and poverty programs designed to bring the African-American community into the mainstream. Governments, businesses and colleges have engaged in discrimination against white folks -- with affirmative action, contract set-asides and quotas -- to advance black applicants over white applicants. Churches, foundations, civic groups, schools and individuals all over America have donated their time and money to support soup kitchens, adult education, day care, retirement and nursing homes for blacks.

We hear the grievances. Where is the gratitude???

Barack talks about new 'ladders of opportunity' for blacks. Let him go to Altoona ? And Johnstown , and ask the white kids in Catholic schools how many were visited lately by Ivy League recruiters handing out scholarships for 'deserving' white kids.? Is white America really responsible for the fact that the crime and incarceration rates for African-Americans are seven times those of white America ? Is it really white America 's fault that illegitimacy in the African-American community has hit 70 percent and the black dropout rate from high schools in some cities has reached 50 percent?

Is that the fault of white America or, first and foremost, a failure of the black community itself?

As for racism, its ugliest manifestation is in interracial crime, and especially interracial crimes of violence. Is Barack Obama aware that while white criminals choose black victims 3 percent of the time, black criminals choose white victims 45 percent of the time?

Is Barack aware that black-on-white rapes are 100 times more common than the reverse, that black-on-white robberies were 139 times as common in the first three years of this decade as the reverse?

We have all heard ad nauseam from the Rev. Al about Tawana Brawley, the Duke rape case and Jena . And all turned out to be hoaxes. But about the epidemic of black assaults on whites that are real, we hear nothing.

Sorry, Barack, some of us have heard it all before, about 40 years and 40 trillion tax dollars ago.

We are a Christian Nation even if Mr. Obama says we are not.
This needs to be passed around because, this is a message everyone needs to hear!!!

Edible Flowers

Edible Flowers.

Not Just Eye Candy: Edible Flowers... Beautiful & Healthy

At the farmer’s market this weekend, I sampled a crisp, peppery purple and yellow flower. It was a Johnny-Jump-Up, with a faint taste of wintergreen. I also tried a daylily bud, which reminded me of fresh green beans. The grower showed me how appealing the flowers looked with his newly picked lettuces. Indeed, they were pretty enough to eat... and made a brilliant salad that evening.

SENSATIONAL SALAD DAYS

Hungering for more -- flowers and information -- I called herbalist Michele Eccleston of Portland, Oregon, and James Duke, PhD, ethnobotanist and former USDA researcher, to learn more about which flowers are edible and what health benefits they bring to the plate.

According to Dr. Duke, all flowers contain protein, carbohydrate, fat, vitamins, minerals, amino acids and sugars. His Web site, www.greenpharmacy.com, makes it easy to find the precise chemicals in your favorite flowers. Most contain several antioxidants, including Vitamin C, but some also have particular health benefits:

  • Violets, kin of the vivid Johnny-Jump-Up, add a grassy flavor to garnishes and desserts. These are a good source of rutin, believed to reduce capillary fragility.
  • Borage, which hints at cucumber, is good in salads. It should be used sparingly, but can be helpful when you have a cold or cough.
  • Lavender petals taste sweet and contain chemicals thought to benefit the central nervous system.
  • Roses have a sweet, astringent flavor. Rose petals are rich in antioxidant-like polyphenols that may reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and cancer. Different colors have different bioactive pigments -- and white has the least. Eccleston cautioned against eating the ones you buy in stores as they are grown with chemicals and dipped in fungicide.
  • Nasturtiums, lemon gem marigold and calendula (petals only) are all delicious in salads, each bringing its distinct earthy flavor and color to the table, so to speak. The orange calendula (marigold) petals contain lycopene and other cancer-fighting nutrients, while the yellow ones are rich in lutein, which is good for the eyes.
  • Daylilies contain Vitamin B and chemicals associated with reduced risk of heart disorders.
  • Squash blossoms contain Vitamin A precursor carotenoids.

Mix these with fresh lettuces, dress lightly and admire your chef d’oeuvre before consuming it.

SIP YOUR FLOWERS

You can also steep edible flowers in hot water to make tea. While most people know of chamomile tea...

  • Rose petals make tea with a distinctively floral flavor.
  • Predictably, lemon verbena tastes lemony. You can use the leaves too.
  • Scented geraniums have a sweet citrus flavor.
  • Bee balm tastes of both mint and oregano.
  • Hibiscus has a fruity, cranberry flavor and turns tea a deep red.

do your research

Most edible flowers bloom between March and September. Violets (such as Johnny-Jump-Ups) appear early and other flowers follow in May, with many remaining in bloom until the first frost. Edible flowers can be annuals or perennials. They can be dried or frozen, but most lose their color, flavor and nutrient value over time.

Eccleston notes that every year, people are poisoned by plants because they don’t know what they are eating. It is important to research any wild plant so you know whether a particular flower is edible, and if so, which parts. For example, blue elderberry is edible, but red-berried elder is not... and all pistils and stamens usually need to be removed. Take classes, check out plant books and visit nurseries specializing in edible plants.

It’s best to eat only flowers you’ve grown so you know they have not been exposed to pesticides, lead-based paint (found around older buildings) or animal waste. Do not fertilize edible flowers with animal manure.

LET’S EAT

A salad tossed with an assortment of edible flowers looks like a Monet painting -- it’s a naturally beautiful way to showcase them. Here are some others as well...

Stuffed Squash Blossoms

Skip the pasta. Stuff squash blossoms with cheese and herbs, dip in egg and flour and lightly sauté in a bit of olive oil. Eccleston cautions that you should only pick and prepare the male blossoms (the ones with stamen, which you should remove first). Leave the female blossoms on the plant so they can mature and become squash.

Herbal Sun Tea

Fill a one-gallon glass jar with filtered water and add a handful of one type or a combination of lavender flowers, rose petals, rose geranium (flowers and leaves), lemon verbena (flowers and leaves) and mint. Leave it to sit in the full sun to steep for four to six hours. The water turns a tea color as the herbs infuse into the water. Then, strain out the plants, place the tea in the refrigerator and serve cold.

Nasturtium salad dressing, from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service

¾ cup canola oil
¼ cup red wine vinegar (or an edible flower vinegar)
three to four minced garlic cloves

Whisk together and blend well.

Add ½ cup nasturtium petals and ¼ cup snipped chives and florets. Gently blend and add salt and pepper to taste. Serve over salad garnished with nasturtium flowers.

Finale

For a delightful summer dessert, Eccleston suggests mixing crushed lavender petals with coconut sorbet or ice cream. Eat on a hot summer evening... while sitting in the garden, naturally.

After Reading a recent article from Ted Pike about deviant sexual behavior in the USA, and even so-called modern Psychiatry-- there is no doubt in MY mind that Almighty God has the RIGHT to rain down fire from heaven tomorrow morning. Just my personal view point and opinion. And the new 'Hate Laws' will make things 100 times worse.

But we must EXPECT things like this to happen as Jesus predicted in the book of Matthew. Our "Gov't" has been high-jacked by the Dims mostly, but also the weak, spineless RINO's who have also lost too many seats in the Senate and Congress do to immorality and scandal. CINO's too [Christians in name only] failed the nation because they didn't vote right when it was abundantly clear what obama stood for and supported. I feel that we can beat the bad news and further break down of planet earth by praying, meditating on scripture every single day and getting as close as possible to the Lord Jesus Christ.

I feel that I finally got my power scooter to work and run right now, but I may try to study and learn more about the 'nuts and bolts' of this animal for when it breaks down again. I will also chain the scooter down to the truck so that there is not so much 'travel' when I stop and go. I think I learned a lot--especially the "service people" who expect the costumer to kiss their feet in order for them to do their own jobs in a timely and skilled manner... LOL. And with the poor 'service' track record, it might even be wise to buy a 2nd scooter just in case. And with this unstable economy I will not consider buying another new vehicle, as the Gov't [Obama] will prob. want to preak the promise and raise taxes on the middle class to bail out his own wild spending Baloney.

Frustrating Day in Waukesha, WI.

Tom's Journal.
http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/
tschuckman@aol.com

What a nasty nerve wracking day today! Why is it that companies, shops, people love to unload/ sell their products [like my power scooter and truck lift] with all kinds of contracts, promises and work/ guarantee agreements but don't want to fix a problem in a timely manner?? First they jerk me around for 3 weeks and stall/ promise to fix the problem, and then call me 3 days in a row to cancel every day and ask if I can make it another time. And when we finally held their feet to the fire today-- they were in a less than cordial, grumpy mood because they had to fulfill their obligation! You can bet the next month's mortgage that I won't be dealing with them after this. It was very hard to even get their attention when we walked in the door at the precise time this morning and we were the only ones there! Well, I am talking about: Miller Mobility, in Waukesha, WI. Ph. 262-594-4900. MILLERMOBILITYPRODUCTS.COM, and the sarcastic owner with the attitude is Mike Miller, I believe. They put on a great act in selling their power chairs, DME, and scooters, but actually performing manual labor [work] is a dirty word to them, IMHO. What a bunch of losers... LOL! IMHO, obama is fostering such slacker attitudes in America-- like "you don't have to worry about going to work-- the 'Nanny State' will take care of you." Even some of the Dims are getting excited these days about obama's broken promises. And I bet things will get much worse in the next 6 months to a year. Who wants to make a bet?

All my life's teachings tell me to prepare for goofy, slack jawed mentality, mind set like this when things will fail and our skilled trades and technical people will disappear when we need them most. Insead of repairing something-- they want us to throw it away and buy a new product. Garbage in-- Garbage out... 'Made in China.'

The article below has really piqued my interest on one of my fav. subjects about the Rapture, and what we might expect. Perhaps the jury is still out on exactly when this great event will happen-- but it WILL happen. For Christians, we know that we WILL suffer for Christ's sake, either little or much. But I figure that this is just another way to truly separate the men from the boys-- the REAL followers of Jesus Christ-- from the fakers and hypocrites. The apostles and early Christians REJOICED when they suffered for their Lord and Master! Hey... I don't know how we will smile when we're getting beat and whipped... lol, but if they starve me, I might feel better when I lose the weight... Ha! When I get down to 200 pounds I will be happy and fit. Woo Woo! In the mean time, I don't want to brag or thump my chest at how I used to be a power lifter and a tough solder. God does not like the proud ones. Now I am a disabled, pained, crippled old man, and my wife is the same.

Reading and re-reading the Bible, Gospel accounts, book of Acts, Romans will help us to maintain the correct mindset, in my opinion.

So now because the "skilled tech worker", a dark gentleman named, Kevin, who bragged that he can handle ANYTHING and multi-task, who claimed to fix my charging problem, forgot to hook something back up correctly, so when I got home and put the special scooter charger on it-- it would not charge, as there are two special white and red lights that are supposed to go on when it's charging. So now they want me to travel back 40 miles in the morning at 0900 so they can fix up their mess up! But Sharon could have used my help to see her doctor tomorrow morning at the same time! I will try to be on my best behavior tomorrow, but I insist on watching them to find out what they missed the first time. Seems like the worker spent just as much time on his cell phone today then he worked on my scooter, as I watched him in silence. What a bummer to put up with such prideful but slack, incompetent goof balls, and listen to their boastful Bull Jack. I joked with the staff at Miller Mobility today that I intend to buy a 2nd Golden Avenger to that when it breaks down [and they ALL DO], I will have a back up scooter [and my wife has enjoyed the use of it too when hers power chair was/ is broke] because the "hired help there is so slack and lackadaisical/ incompetent." I was just about to call up Channel TMY 4- Milwaukee TV to report the poor workmanship when my wife called Miller and they told us to bring it back in the morning. Another shot day that I could have enjoyed and done something constructive. Oh well...

Tom

PS: We found out that it was a FUSE that was blown, and replaced it the next day-- so now the scooter does charge correctly. Murphy's Law...

Rapture Timing

Posted: 04 Aug 2009 12:30 PM PDT

By Dr. David R. ReaganDoes the Rapture mark the beginning of the Tribulation? No, the Bible does not state anywhere that the Tribulation begins with the Rapture. I believe the Rapture could occur months or even years before the Tribulation begins, although it is likely to occur near the beginning because the Tribulation is the time of the pouring out of God's wrath, and 1 Thessalonians 1:10 says

The 'New World Coin.'

Tom's Journal.
http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/
tschuckman@aol.com

I am amazed at how powerfully accurate some of these Christian writers sum things up regarding the coming 'New World Order' -- One World Gov't is Biblically pictured and announced by Jesus Christ Himself !! I learned some/ part of this about 30 years ago, but it is now more abundantly brighter, more clear than ever, especially thru the prism of Spirit anointed Scripture and the daily news [if you can separate fact from fiction]. ALL one needs to do is to have an honest heart/ intention, be Saved and ask the Holy Spirit for the 'gift of understanding' before you read/ study the Bible text! Remember that the Bible is written mostly in the 4th- 5th grade level and God gives understanding to the humbl, true followers of His Son, Jesus Christ. Of course some times a person may have to study harder than the next Christian, but it should all come in time and make perfect sense sooner or latter.

See Jesus' own words concerning this article below about the 'end times' and how to identify them, especially NOW, in the book of Matthew, one of my fav. Gospel accounts. Go figure, if Obama took us [did so much damage] so far in just 6 months--think how fast he will mess things up in 3 1/2 years-- and I personally don't think we will have to wait that long before the ship goes down-- or Jesus returns! But looking at the 'Big Picture', other nations in the world have the same mind set and even the USA Republicans are just as guilty-- but on a slower time schedule. If the Bible says it will come and God CANNOT lie, it will come. Mostly, we Christians are "trying to figure out" right now is, 'how bad and how long will things get before the Lord Jesus Christ comes back to take up [Rapture] His Saints/ Followers/ Believers on earth-- and then the Trib., 'stink will hit the fan.' But now real Christians don't just sit around waiting for all this to happen-- we ALL have an important job to do in the mean time, now. Sharing, witnessing, furthering the Gospel of Jesus Christ with anyone and everyone we see, meet, visit, bump into! Some of us are good at this important business and others have to work on it, but we all need to do it, if we love our Lord who loves US so much!

For most of us, we cannot contain ourselves and the Holy Spirit just pushes the Gospel and Good News of the Kingdom out of us... lol. And what will we have to 'put on the table' in heaven when we get there ? We were too busy, too tired, too poor, too rich, too stupid to share the Gospel, knowledge, Bible??
I have to hold myself up to this same standard, bad broken down, old,, physical condition and all. I have shown my wife many times how to strike up a simple conversation and move into sharing the great things promised by God and His Son that will benefit mankind if they just take hold of the real TRUTH of the Bible and accept the Lord. I have just taught her how to use a simple Christian 'Challenge Coin' to start the conversation and share the Gospel. I compare it a little like working at a shop or office. First someone shows you the ropes of the job, and then YOU try it. How bad do you need that job? How bad do you need to go to Heaven?? Eternity is a long time...

I watch too much news and TV. I admit that TV is a thief and much of it is not good to watch. Things in the USA and the world MUST get worse according to scripture-- and soon, so this should affect our planning for the future and everything else. Above all, trust in the Lord, Proverbs 3:5.

Did Jesus Identify Obama as the Antichrist?

Gary DeMar / The American Vision Blog:
An article on WorldNetDaily's website reports on an anonymous "Christian with a theological education and many years in the ministry . . . who claims Jesus might have revealed who the antichrist is." Mr. Anonymous makes it clear in his five-minute YouTube video that he is not claiming that Barack Obama is the antichrist. He states that he is only pointing out how two Hebrew words have "striking" correlations to Jesus' statement in Luke 10:18 and Isaiah 14:14 and the President's name. The argument begins with Luke 10:18. "When I started doing a little research," the unnamed minister states, "I found the Greek word for 'lightning' is astrape-, and the Hebrew equivalent is baraq. I thought that was fascinating."

Prescient

— pre·scient Listen to the pronunciation of prescient \-sh(ē-)ənt, -s(ē-)ənt\ adjective

Down below is a definition I was curious about, and I like to know and understand what I am reading. I may be weird but I used to read the Dictionary in high school for fun! It may be because of some childhood issue where someone chastised me saying I didn't know what I was talking about-- or made fun of my youthful ignorance at the time. And I always had a strong desire to learn other languages, studying the only 2 foreign languages [French and Latin] offered in our small WI country school, Waterford High School, about 525 students at that time, 1967 graduate, but I really wanted German the most! I studied German in Germany [while in the Army] and on my own. So I have a good time when my VA appointed cleaning lady come over twice a week because she was born and raised in Germany. It's been my experience that people in/ from Germany are kind enough to help others understand their beautiful language. And German is VERY similar to ENGLISH! Go figure, the province of Saxony in Germany is part of the Anglo-Saxon heritage, IMHO.

When you learn a different language-- you are forced to learn about their culture. It is my opinion that ALL cultures have SOMETHING good to offer others. Medicine, craftsmanship, food, history. To know and understand other cultures fosters peace. Wars have been fought over misunderstanding and poor translation.

It's raining now in S.E. Wisconsin but the County Fairs are reporting many visitors!
