Maybe I am trying to prove some goofy point to myself-- but I decided not to turn on the heat in the house until November... lol. But heck-- I know how to dress warm and insulate myself-- Army trained! Women could EASILY do the same by putting on 2 T-shirts underneath, but they just WON'T....Ha! OK now, let's just keep this "secret" to ourselves-- so we can continue to hear them complain about being cold. But if Sharon were here with me at home, I would make it comfortable for her, of course. But my electric bill was cut in half for the first time in YEARS since I've been alone without Sharon with me.

I forgot that I took off the dog's 'choke chain' collar a few days ago, and then put him in the truck today to see Sharon, so when I went in the back seat to hook up his lead [leash] there was nothing to hook up to. So I took a camo kerchief and tied it around his neck and tied the leather lead to it, and it all worked out OK, until I got to the nursing home Mess Hall [dining room] and Deuce got so excited to see Sharon that he slipped the collar! So the nurses and staff corral-ed Deuce and they got him all hooked up again. The head staffing lady asked me nicely to bring in Deuce's current shot record, so I will collect that from the Veterinarian tomorrow, for sure. I can't find the hound's purple 'Service Animal' vest to ID him.... so I should look into getting another one to make him look official-- which he earned. Deuce is a darn good "Therapy Animal" too and he just lift's the spirits of all who come in contact with him. Deuce likes me well enough, but Sharon is the LOVE of his life.

I just now figured out why Sharon's nursing home has such high Security with 'controlled doors/ entrance/ exit... Some of the patients there suffer from being disoriented and dementia, etc., and that street has high and speedy traffic! Ah...ha! Because the neighborhood isn't that bad... so go figure. And who wants a big law suit these days for being legally negligent?

Well, folks, can't you just feel the steady flow of electricity before the election-- and the high probability of CORRUPTION AND CHEATING at the polling places?? And how about the bungling of our military people not getting their votes counted for various stupid reasons -- and we all know that 2/3's of them always lean toward the conservative/ Republican side.... duh. Glenn Beck and Fox News are right about a lot of things like cover-ups, corruption and cheating. But we must always remember that God allows many things to happen for a reason, and no one can thwart Divine His Will and Purpose! I just found a 'hidden box' full of Bible tracts, pamphlets and small books today, while looking for something else. It was a gold mine for my sorry eyes, and one book called, |"HEAVEN ....God's answers for your every need" ~by Randy Alcorn. But I don't care for his choice of the New Living Translation --Bible. However, he has posted many 'proof texts'/ scriptures for every subject he talks about, and I can go to my own KJV Bible to research them. So I am a happy camper today, and I thought I'd pass this on.

My buddy, Bob Gibson, who also served in Vietnam with the Australian Army just had a Cardiac procedure a few days ago and he is doing well. Pray for Bob and his family and give thanks! I have friends like him all over the WORLD and it's nice to keep in contact with each other for info and encouragement.
The air temp here is 41 degrees F. at 9:47PM-- S.E. WI. I just posted some new pix I got developed today and will include a few.

Sorry to say, my own human 'wisdom' and 'knowledge' spoils my human "predictions" of sorts, time after time. OK, I believe 100% in my heavenly Father and His Word, the Bible, but when some things don't add up in my puny, human mind-- sometimes I speculate 'when and how' things might come about/ happen, and that's where I go wrong--- and I need to be more patient. According to the book of Romans ~ by Paul, we are born into Adamic sin and imperfection, plus the devil has a 'vested interest' in us from the start. The Holy Spirit and the Word are more mighty-- but we still have to fight the fight day after day, IMHO. Where is all this leading?? Well, I am just trying to figure out how and approximately when something will set off the coming war between God's chosen people, Israel-- and the hateful, pagan Muslim nations who want to destroy her completely. And just GUESS WHO IS ON THEIR SIDE AND LIVES IN THE WH??

The victorious Allies after WW-2 gave the Jews their own land back to them that the Lord gave them thousands of years ago-- that's right, the God of the Bible! The people of Israel never tried nor wanted to expand their portion of God given land/ State of Israel, and what a tiny, small country! Doesn't Egypt and other neighboring countries have enough land to spare the Palestinians adequate living space?? After all, are they not all of the Arab/ Muslim BROTHERHOOD? And why can't the Liberals-Progressives understand that the PA and other Muslims are constantly lobbing rockets at the Jews-- and they are just protecting their homeland and people? This is not rocket science.

Anyway, anyone can see who is behind the curtain pulling the corrupt, sinister levers and pushing the buttons-- and now we learn that he is just waiting until the Mid-term elections are over so he can twist Israel's arm some more and divide that country and it's security. My biggest connection with Israel is Bible related, and there is no way I would vote against or wish harm on God's people in Israel! Just thought you all might want to know that. Where do YOU stand on this issue?
You see, the Liberals fall short of so many 'litmus tests' IMO, that any good is far out weighed by their evil --and abandonment of Bible principles from the get go. The 'other side' may not be that much better-- but if they stand up for "Life" of the unborn, true Freedom of Speech and Religion, 2nd Amendments, stop the stupid spending and borrowing, etc., they have MY vote... and that's just for starters.

Of course the "GIVEN" is that [I'm afraid-- Sorry] that the entire world including the USA is headed for much worse times, and HYPER-Inflation, economic ruin and revolt, perhaps, and after Israel wins this next war-- the Rapture should come, as I often post on this humble Blog site.
Now... I don't know how many of you like to gamble --or just sit on the fence with a "wait and see" attitude, but I like to put/ invest my money on a 'sure thing' -- God's Word and promise. His track record is PERFECT! The term "devil" actually means, 'Slanderer/ Liar.' Place your bet, friends. Who then is your real 'FATHER?' I pick Jesus, as Lord and Savior.

Sharon is happy today with her cell phone working so much better with a new free replacement battery, and her Toshiba Notebook now works well and she has InterNet capabilities after she got that component/ attachment for $30 in the mail!! I plan to see her again tomorrow, and the dog will come with me with his own "Service Animal" vest.

I deleted the post mentioned below that had to do with the "probability of what language Jesus spoke while on earth" from my Blog list, for a number of reasons. 2nd Timothy 2:23 says, "But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes." ~KJV. And there is also solid teaching why Paul did not welcome women as teachers/ pastors in the Christian Church, also found in Timothy. Another translation says, "Shun foolish questionings."

There are some old friends with sharp, well studied, Christian minds and hearts who are kind enough to pull me out of a meaningless time consuming fight/ quick sand-- wasting precious time in these 'Last Days' of wickedness on earth before the Rapture... and I think too often about how crazed and blood thirsty the devil and his demons must be, bringing every type of trap, snare, road block and impediment just a little while longer until the Lord claims His Bride-- up, up and away-- to HEAVEN! Satan wants to poison as many wells, minds and hearts as he can before the Lord comes! And don't we know too many people who just love to drag others down into their own swamp of evil, poison, wickedness, and hard-hearted mischief and despair! Satan is the father of the LIE! That is why I keep pounding my drum: 'STAY AWAKE and FINISH THE COURSE!' In ancient Israel, if the temple guards were caught sleeping, the captain of the guard would have them stripped and chased though the streets with men carrying sticks! That's why scripture says, 'Keep your clothes!' The Inter Net can be either a master or slave-- something to help share the Gospel, Christian love, encouragement -- or more mischief and sin. I don't get into all these time consuming farm games, etc., but I am not demonizing them either. But if we can do one-- why not the other?

How many of us have lived a fantastic, adventurous, scary life, even intense combat and war, painful, near death accidents, or just constant HARD WORK?? Many of us feel that we OUGHT TO HAVE A BREAK-- a long rest, after working all our lives, paying taxes and sacrificing to help our families, etc. But this is NOT the time to slack off-- this is the time to hang on, study/ read the Bible daily-- go to a good Bible preaching/ believing church and share the Gospel with as many as we can! Pray and Practice for those special opportunities to present themselves of sharing the Gospel, and then DO IT! Have the guts to take a chance and TELL THE TRUTH of the Gospel, even if it's 'politically incorrect !' And yes, Biblical Christians probably will be finally censored and forbidden to practice their 1st Amendment Rights-- Freedom of Speech, as things get worse in America.... and I don't care who gets in office-- the Bible says that we will suffer some persecution. Sharon and I WILL VOTE ON NOVEMBER 2nd, come wind or high water, and it just may be [again] the 'lessor of two evils.' If the right people, conservative, God-fearing, Constitution respecting get in-- we just might have some peace and quiet enough to share the 'Good News' of the Gospel, for a while.

Sorry to be the bearer of sad and troubling news, but... financial experts still predict that America will most likely suffer DOUBLE DIGIT HYPER INFLATION in the next 6 months, or less, no matter who is in office/ Congress. While both political parties are playing the "blame game", America-- and the world will be going down the tube-- fast and deadly. Any person with an average IQ KNOWS that at a certain point, a person, family, State, or Country cannot remain SOLVENT anymore, if they continue wild spending and borrowing-- and that goes for once great nations--like AMERICA. Duh... Do we all know how a check book works? Don't we understand what Credit Cards and Compound Interest is all about?? The 'Rule of 72 ?' The Milwaukee VA called me the other night and informed me that some of the services now accorded me will be REDUCED, and there is nothing I and other disabled Veterans can do about it! Nothing is too sacred for this liberal, Socialist Gov't to rip off the Veterans who ought to be protected-- especially when they are DISABLED! But this is only the beginning, folks. The first place slick Willy Clinton went to cut benefits was the VA system! And the beat goes on.

Can't you just feel the uneasy, nervous fear, hostility that runs like an electric under-current in our society-- in our everyday life right now? Road rage in Wisconsin and inconsiderate, hostile driving is the norm, and that's one of the reasons I sold my big 6 cylinder Goldwing motorcycle 2 years ago, and I've been biking all my adult life-- to and from work to save gasoline.
Christians will suffer too-- but they have a reliable "Shelter" and "Place of Refuge" -- Jesus Christ, as Lord and Savior. But we should have been following the Bible's wise advice/ council too: Pay off/ down our debts and learn to live frugal.

I took Sharon out for lunch again today at noon, and then home for a while, but we had to be back at 4PM-- Woodstock Nursing Home rules... I took Deuce, the Rottweiler, in the truck and he got a hamburger [plain] too in the back seat of our Dodge 4 by 4. We both needed hugs and kisses to charge up our batteries, and Sharon took more clothes with her and got a new cell phone battery-- still under warranty. So even with the destructive high winds in WI, we still had a very good fruitful day. PTL.

These are my thoughts on what language Jesus spoke. Jesus could speak what ever language He needed to get His message across. He probably did not speak English because there were no English speaking people to speak English to. I believe Jesus spoke in tongues, that is to say, that when He spoke, everyone understood Him in their own language regardless of where they were from. Any attempt to pin Jesus down to one language is stupid and pointless since we weren't there. The people who want to or feel they need to pin Jesus down to one particular language are the people who are trying to change the Bible to fit their translation or needs. They want to say,"This is what Jesus really said." or "This is what Jesus really meant." , when ,in fact, we know what Jesus said because we have it written down for us in God's inspired word. We have everything we need to live a holy life. Arguments such as this are used to cast dispersion on the Bible and to cloud the minds of true believers. muslims love this sort of arguments and will jump on it in an attempt to create doubt while they press their islamic (no capital letters for pagan infidels) agenda. Heck, there is a muslim site attached to your e-mail calling for glory to allah. This argument is just another attack on the Bible from a different angle. Tom, don't get caught up in these endless, inane disputes. They are not worth worrying about. Stay on course, stick to the Bible (KJV).

On a lighter note say hi to Sharon and tell her we love her and that she is in our prayers. You both are on our prayer list at church. Take care brother and don't let those yahoos steer you wrong.

Can you get a load of this dog pile?? Ha! How biblically illiterate can these so-called religious leaders get by saying that Christ Nullified God's Promises to the Jews? Actually, this 'news' doesn't bother me, personally, so much, because I KNOW that I am saved by the blood of Christ-- but so many folks will just take this as 'Gospel' without even cracking open the Bible, and remaining IGNORANT WILL COOK THEIR GOOSE! I am afraid that their are certainly plenty of ignorant, false, plastic Baptists and Protestants too.... just for the record. And the problem I have is that this grand BOOK is mostly written on a 5th grade level !! I even have some very fine audio/ listening CD's that are so well vocalized and EZ to listen too--- ask me for that web address.

I guess that Wisconsin will be getting some very wet and WINDY weather starting tomorrow afternoon coming in from Canada. It's that time of the year, and I only hope I can get things cleaned up in time for the snow this year. I need to bring a few more things to Sharon in the morning and need to make a list -- 'short pencil better than long memory'...Ha!

I am still learning how to cook for one man-- ME-- but I like to make enough for 2 days so I don't have to clean up the dirty dishes too often. I also eat 2 apples a day and other fruit.

It pains me to say that Sharon's doctor told her that she would never be released from the nursing home to return home for good in the future. Sharon was upset and crying when she told me this over the phone yesterday. Her doc said that her heart was too weak-- too damaged for that to ever happen. We both know that the Rapture is our ticket out of this corrupt, violent world if we don't die before then... and that, at least, is MY focal point, as a real, Bible believing, well studied, Christian. People who are 'weak' unbelievers have no such hope and they fear death big time... but they probably don't know much about hell either. Actually the Lord Jesus Christ used the term 'hell' a lot more than He did Heaven! I don't mind admitting that I simply LOVE the Bible Yes! REAL MEN LOVE THE BIBLE!] and that pure History comes alive for me every time I crack that Book open. The Holy Spirit allows/ helps me to understand the Bible, as I continue to tell the world who will listen-- and all you have to do is just ASK for the Holy Spirit to come and open your mind and heart... AFTER you accept the Lord Jesus Christ as you personal Savior! Fact is: This very fact seems way to simple to be true for most people... and their own "Higher Learning" is actually a stumbling block that prevents them from accepting God Almighty. Not all, but most.

So I saw Sharon again today and brought her more grapefruits and her Packers bathrobe, etc. She wanted me to meet some of her friends in the Mess Hall eating their lunch [nasty looking food-- sorry]. One of the guys named Dick is an Air Force Vietnam Veteran who shared some of the same space as I did-- at Bien Hoa Airbase during 1968, and the Big Tet offensive, one month before I got there! He remembered that Army "
tent city" -- the 357th Transportation Company [helicopters] where I served. Every other company on that base had wooden barracks except my old company and we slept in tents [I was in that company for about 8 months-- but I also served at Cu Chi, Phu Loi, and Tan Son Nuit/ Saigon--TDY] --with USARV-- 1st tour. And some other guy named James wanted me to bring our dog to the nursing home next time I come-- and I said I would. There were about 6 people at the table plus Sharon and I, and I even got to talk about the Bible for a while. Well, folks, you just know that this could be a fertile Gospel sharing area, for me and Sharon! God opens up certain 'territories' for those Christians who make themselves available.

And on Sundays they all watch football on the huge screen TV in the Mess Hall, and they all chip in and buy pizza for their own group! I make sure that my dear wife has enough money, and coins to buy cold soda from the machine, etc., in that place, besides bringing her what ever she wants/ needs. She told me that I could ever bring her sewing machine to her room. After showing her my new walking shoes-- she told me that SHE needs some now. OK, dear heart, your wish is my command...lol.

November in WI is always a very windy month, and you can see just how violent Lake Michigan is in November, and Superior too... as that old song, The Edmond Fitzgerald, goes, by Gordon Lightfoot. So if we want to do any last minute weather proofing, now is the time! I make my own storm windows with single or double pane, but my whole body is aching a lot lately-- so maybe my son can help me.

Chrysler Plant- Kenosha, Closes.

There are a lot of memories here when a man named Tom Schuckman put in over 30 years at this auto plant-- 'one day chicken-- the next day feathers.' It was a pressure cooker, but also our bread and butter, and the hard work was a badge of honor being able to support your family with some dignity, but where many weak people were hired and left at lunch time never to return because the work was 'too hard.' I remember when in 1989, 6000 people got laid off in one day with fear in their guts, but some of us [like me] went straight back to college to make something of ourselves and learn another trade/ skill, so that we felt some self worth as human beings, but it was an up hill fight to stay employed in that recession. Many divorces happened, and when most of us were called back 6 years latter-- HALF OF OUR NUMBER WERE DIVORCED! Although this is just another tragic story in America-- the Bible tells us that things in the world will get MUCH worse in the near future. The only safe anchor is Jesus Christ. Read the Book.

Chrysler Kenosha Plants Closes This Month

KENOSHA - Friday will be the final full manufacturing day at the Kenosha Chrysler Engine Plant. By the end of next week, union workers will be out of a job. A company spokesperson said the last engine will come off the line on October 29.

For more than two decades, Mike Underhill punched the clock here.

"When is it going to end? Sooner or later nobody's going to have money left to buy stuff," Underhill said.

There's been auto related blue collar work at this facility for more than a century. In better years, it was an AMC assembly plant. The huge operation paid the bills for thousands of Wisconsin families.

Reduced now to a few hundred employees, much of the Chrysler work that had been done here will go to Mexico.

"Hundreds and hundreds of family supporting jobs because we have the wrong trade policies," said David Newby of the Wisconsin AFL-CIO, blaming problems with the North American Free Trade Agreement.

Governor Jim Doyle blames a struggling, downsizing auto industry.

"It's really a sad moment," Doyle told TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Tom Murray. "We've known it's been coming for a long time."

As for Mike, he was recently elected to the Kenosha County Board and plans to stay in the area.

"I'm at least going to walk out of here with a pension, so i can't complain about that," Underhill said.

Chrysler said it offered jobs at other plants to about 300 Kenosha employees. About 60 workers accepted the offer.
