This is exactly what I mean when I repeatedly say that the BIBLE is NOT the problem in terms of understandability. Since most of the Bible is written on a 5th grade level -- lack of reading skills IS the real problem!! I always thought that Wisconsin was ahead of the reading/ education curve, and I would hate to see what places like Detroit look like. Someone dropped the ball... again, and Obama's new style of teaching the kids doesn't work so well either-- but the Liberals' agenda have effectively 'DUMBED DOWN' the level of teaching and eduction in this country!! That's the way I see things, folks. With good jobs being harder to get/ find now days, I would think that the competitive edge of basic reading skills would be very important.

I thought I had a good education even after the Army, but ended up going back to college twice to learn new skills and training, besides getting a blue chip education in Finance/ Securities/ Investments, etc, on my own with PFS Investments.

I used to think that I would always be alright with my many 'investments', and organizational skills and net working. Now, in 2011, I realize that the ONLY thing I really have going for me is my relationship with Jesus Christ, and knowledge of the Bible. All else is fleeting.

Two-thirds of the eighth graders in Wisconsin public schools cannot read proficiently according to the U.S. Department of Education, despite the fact that Wisconsin spends more per pupil in its public schools than any other state in the Midwest.

In the National Assessment of Educational Progress tests administered by the U.S. Department of Education in 2009—the latest year available—only 32 percent of Wisconsin public-school eighth graders earned a “proficient” rating while another 2 percent earned an “advanced” rating. The other 66 percent of Wisconsin public-school eighth graders earned ratings below “proficient,” including 44 percent who earned a rating of “basic” and 22 percent who earned a rating of “below basic.”

I didn't fully understand this all my life until just now! But it would have been very stupid with lack of faith to get tripped up over something like this-- when all we have to do is wait patiently until we learn the full explanation. And to think that some God-hating atheists may have lured a few away from a personal relationship with Christ.... Shame.

Let's talk for a bit about things that are deeply buried with in us. There were indelible times, places and events in our childhood that we will probably never forget-- but the "family or elite club of Combat Veterans" of ANY country that has honor and Freedom are very special, for a number of reasons. First of all the military [at least in the old days of the 1960's and before] was very disciplined and well trained, and they tried hard to weed out and separate the 'men from the boys' so that the 'undesirables' would not contaminate the good portion of our troops, nor get us killed by their stupidity! That only makes sense, and by in large, the U.S. Army, and other armed forces did a pretty good job of that, IMHO. The USA poured a lot of time, energy, money and training into our troops BEFORE they went into combat and other places/ jobs. It all turned out OK for me in the end... even though I still suffer from PTSD, etc. And those of us who came out of the military with an HONORABLE discharge ought to be proud! We are indeed, a cut above most civilians-- by our experiences and training alone!

Be that as it may, having said that, NO ONE WILL GET TO HEAVEN unless the Lord WILLS it!! According to the Word of God-- the BIBLE, without accepting the Lord Jesus Christ as our personal Savior, we are lost. Without coming to at least a rudimentary knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, all others on the 'out side' stand a bleak, snow ball's chance in Miami, FL., in the Summer time, getting to heaven.

Atheists, agnostics, UN-Believers, false religion, will be 'Left Behind' to suffer the last 7 years on earth in the next worse thing besides hell in anguish and horror as their whole world comes crashing down on their collective heads... and yes, some of those prideful people will still shake their fists at God.

I don't make a big deal about the rising prices of gas, food, clothes, etc., but today the price of one Troy ounce of Silver was $34 !! ... and Gold was over $1400/ oz ! Many folks in the USA have 'painted themselves into a corner' by getting over loaded with plastic credit card DEBT [and I wish I were not in debt too...], and the Gov't sets a poor example for it's citizens with it's MEGA- DEBT, borrowing and printing more money in the back room. I was very poor for a short time in my life when I was laid off from Chrysler in the early 1990's even though I worked all the time as a welder, etc., and I will always carry those humiliating time and events in my heart, friends. I do OK now-- but I am not so stupid as to think poverty could never knock at my door again... and the Bible also tells me so! Best to live within our means.

Christians don't get their 'News' from the liberal 'News Media' on TV. We have 'other sources' that the Gov't would love to shut down, and we talk amongst ourselves. But isn't it strange and uncanny how almost EVERY SCRAP of international and local news mirrors exactly what Bible prophecy has told us all along??! Wow! it's down right exciting-- not that we get some sick joy from seeing other people suffer. And although heads of State and Gov't are only human-- it seems like they sit idle with their fingers in their ears-- they really could have done more with all their so-called bragged about "wisdom and power" Romans 1:22, "Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools," --Even though that first chapter of Romans has to do with how evil and goofy homosexuality is and how God hates it, many people including the Prez seem to wink and condone it just like he did today!! If they only knew how damaging that manure will be to the Army and Navy ! Shame on the president and Congress for allowing this to happen! But folks, this is just a small side point of what is coming down --world wide.

As ancient Israel's God, Jehovah, did to the Egyptians long ago-- putting their false gods to shame, one by one, humiliating them, so too is He now doing also to the Nations, American included. Our false gods, Sex and Money, will be brought down soon too. If and when the price of gas go past $5/gal., that will affect the price of EVERY other thing too-- commodities, services, goods, food, construction, etc. And I would guess that it won't take long. Put another whammy on us-- our American dollars will not be worth very much either because of INFLATION-- so they will NOT buy as much, but our wages will stay the same or become less. NOW what will happen... when the Gov't can't walk and chew bubble gum at the same time ?? Ha! they will play the 'blame game' some more, as usual.

Friends and Readers, what's happening in Madison, WI is small potatoes compare to what we could really see and experience come Springtime in the good old USA! And you have been hearing about this very thing from me and many other Bible loving Christian bloggers... but you said, "Oh well, we will make it somehow, some way." Future Monetary System.

Unfortunately, it took me many years to finally get the Holy Spirit that helps me understand the Bible. Many misled people think that a man has to go to some Bible College and receive a 'degree' in Theology, etc. to share the Good News of the Gospel. Other uninformed 'unbelievers' claim that a person ought to have led a sinless, spotless life style to become a pastor, preacher, minister or evangelist. Not true, friends! People become real Christians are different stages of their lives and carry out many different works and labors for the Lord-- as they are led by the Holy Spirit. God gives different people specific 'knowledge' that HE alone wants to impart to them. I only desire to be a lowly, humble servant to do what ever the Lord wants me to, but I believe I have the 'gift to gab' and love to share the Gospel and Bible knowledge with as many a hearing ear as possible.

As I have many times shared in this humble blog, the Bible is written on a 5th grade level and is readily available in most ANY language on earth. The real problem is that many humans don't know how to correctly READ and WRITE!! I strongly recommend using the DEFINED KING JAMES VERSION Bible. See the web site: biblefortoday.org -- Even in America where the public educational system has been "dumbed down" for political reasons, many high school graduates are 'functionally illiterate!' What a stinking shame! And go figure: Most of our ancestors from the 'Old Country' learned to read, and had the Bible, but without all the conveniences that we have now days-- but all we hear is lame excuses from the kids and adults now days. Satan has done a fine job closing the eyes, blinding humans all over the earth.

Personally, I see most of the 'News' missing the mark or what really is happening behind the scenes-- as the 'Man of Lawlessness' -- the Anti-Christ is lurking in the shadows, waiting to take control of the 'New World Order', and it doesn't take too much imagination to figure out what the 'new single monetary system' will be like--- electronic. In the mean time, the devil and his henchmen have most of the globe chasing their tails, being side tracked by every day matters, trying to stay ahead of the collapsing economic melt down, Dear Lord, please help us keep our eyes on the Prize-- everlasting life in heaven after the Rapture. When a man plows the field like my father taught me as we were raised on a small farm in Wisconsin, we HAD TO KEEP OUR EYES ALERT and the right wheel of the tractor IN THE FURROW! All the neighbors would surely see any of our mistakes... as most farmers take note of that stuff... lol.

What should concern us is that we have all this information now so that we can 'check it' against what we read in the Bible. [also check out the fine 'tool' on-line for free: e-sword]. It's just one more "sign" that the 'End of this system' is at hand. Of all the stupid mistakes I have committed in my life--- I surely don't want to miss the "LAST PLANE OUT OF HERE !!" I don't want to be left behind! Better to live a lowly life as a cripple/ disabled man on earth -- than to miss that plane to glory and God's eternal protection.

And please let me try to explain again, anyone of normal intellect can be an 'expert' at something. If I read Betty Crocker's Cook book a hundred times, I would probably know how to be a great cook in a few years. So too, if a regular person seeks favor in the Lord and yields to the Holy Spirit-- that person will understand the Bible well enough to share it with other people. But just like the time of Noah's Ark, only 8 humans survived the Flood that killed millions of wicked mankind. Relatively 'FEW' people will be saved at the Rapture compared to the earth's BILLIONS in the near future. Beware. Be Alert.

This is truly hard to wrap my mind around... lol, especially for an old country boy like Tom Schuckman, but I find it very fascinating! This article was so interesting to me-- and led me to believe that God had a hand in the making of the Pyramids.

Thank you, all my friends and acquaintances from Face Book, who wished me a Happy Birthday today!! You certainly made my day on Feb. 20th, 2011 -- age 62! It feels so good to be thought of by so many people, at least on one day of the year, and it erases the few negative experiences from immature and perverse unbelievers who don't have a life. We pray for the unbelievers too that they may yet make peace with God and reach true salvation only through Christ, before the 'Storm.'

And we are still blessed to live in America where we may still talk, and disagree, and discuss things that would surely get us hung in other countries who have no freedoms as we do. PTL! Let us not waste or squander this remaining precious time-- but use it to bring glory/ praise the Lord, and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to all-- far and wide, pray for our so-called 'enemies' [as Rev. Hagee said], and leaders, that we may have safety and peace while serving the Lord in these 'End Times.'

And friends, most of us know that there are many ways of being educated.. as long as we can read well. Study and knowledge of the Bible is the beginning of Wisdom-- and we will continue to learn much in heaven so that our brains may never be 'too full !'

Things are not going so bad for me, really. Being in the 'know' and up to date with high speed news and info makes me aware of so many people in the world who suffer 10 times worse than I do.

But today, I got a snail mail "birthday card" with evil calculated poison pen hate speech on it-- but I believe that it "comes with the territory" of real Christians who still share the Word, and the Gospel. And it doesn't take a 'Sherlock' to figure out: 1. snail mail, 2. Roanoake, VA, 3. no return address or signature-- and therefore a coward--- who sent it, most likely Walter, who still doesn't have a life or is bored to death. I feel sorry for him, that he has all that time to pursue hateful endeavors to hurt others in his retirement years of leisure in the sun. Can a person truly have the Holy Spirit if he harbors all these hateful feelings with overt actions?? Is such a person happy? I don't think so.... but I can only leave such things to the Lord. Let us pray for Walter in Virginia, please, that he reads the Bible and does more than just sit like a bump on a log WHERE EVER he claims to attend church. He used to be a valued friend of mine, but after he got so negative and boastful, I decided to break things off for a "cooling off time/ period" because I really don't need all that negativity in my life from someone who CLAIMS to be my personal friend and brother.... sorry.

Aside from a little congestion and throat, nose discomfort, I am doing well, and my wife is alert too. I suppose it would be 'safer' to leave out most of my personal life-- as that only gives jealous, hateful people ammunition to shoot me down like the fore mentioned person from Roanoake, VA., who shuns and makes fun of anyone who owns or uses a PC --Personal Computer, and he is 'low tech' -- and that's alright if he chooses to be! Someday, and soon, we may lose our PC/ Internet technology from enemies in China, North Korea who try to take over or destroy our Internet capabilities, etc., or a Solar Flare, or what ever, and I believe in being prepared for the unknown too! But most of us have limited resource$, so building an expensive underground, well stocked bunker is out of the question. Most CHRISTIANS I know mainly put their faith and trust in GOD, however, the Bible does speak positively about saving something for emergencies, etc. Still, we want to remain BALANCED, IMHO.

It's a nice sunny day, but the weather forecast says that heavy snow will be here again North of Milwaukee, WI., but we are used to having snow in our great, over taxed, overly Liberal, Northern State.
