Tax on Everything.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Subject: Charley Reese's final column
Charley Reese is retiring. His last column is this one.
Charley Reese has been a journalist for 49 years.
Be sure to read the Tax List at the end.
This is about as clear and easy to understand as it can be . The
article below is completely neutral, not anti republican or democrat
Charlie Reese, a retired reporter for the Orlando Sentinal, has hit
the nail directly on the head, defining clearly who it is that in the
final analysis must assume responsibility for the judgments made that
impact each one of us every day. It's a short but good read. Worth
the time. Worth remembering!
545 vs. 300,000,000
545 PEOPLE --By Charlie Reese
Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them..
Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?
Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes,WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?
You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does.
You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does.
You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does.
You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does.
You and I don't control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank does.
One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and nine
Supreme Court justices equates to 545 human beings out of the 300
million are directly, legally, morally, and individually responsible
for the domestic problems that plague this country.
I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because that
problem was created by the Congress. In 1913, Congress delegated its
Constitutional duty to provide a sound currency to a federally
chartered, but private, central bank.
I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound
reason. They have no legal authority. They have no ability to coerce a
senator, a congressman, or a President to do one cotton-picking thing.
I don't care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.
The politician has the power to accept or reject it. No matter what
the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator's responsibility to
determine how he votes.
Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing you
that what they did is not their fault. They cooperate in this common
con regardless of party.
What separates a politician from a normal human being is an
excessive amount of gall. No normal human being would have the gall
of a Speaker, who stood up and criticized the President for creating
deficits..... The President can only propose a budget. He cannot
force the Congress to accept it.
The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole
responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and
approving appropriations and taxes. The House members, not the
President, can approve any budget they want. If the President vetoes
it, they can pass it over his veto if they agree to.
It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot
replace 545 people who stand convicted -- by present facts – of
incompetence and irresponsibility. I can't think of a single domestic
problem that is not traceable directly to those 545 people. When you
fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise the power of the
federal government, then it must follow that what exists is what they
want to exist.
If the tax code is unfair, it's because they want it unfair.
If the budget is in the red, it's because they want it in the red ..
If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it's because
they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan ...
If they do not receive social security but are on an elite
retirement plan not available to the people, it's because they want it
that way.
There are no insoluble government problems.
Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom
they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts
and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the power
to regulate and from whom they can take this power. Above all, do not
let them con you into the belief that there exists disembodied
mystical forces like "the economy," "inflation," or "politics" that
prevent them from doing what they take an oath to do.
Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.
They, and they alone, have the power..
They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people who
are their bosses.
Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own employees...
We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Charlie Reese is a former columnist of the Orlando Sentinel Newspaper.

What you do with this article now that you have read it......... Is
up to you. This might be funny if it weren't so true.
Be sure to read all the way to the end:

Tax his land,
Tax his bed,

Then tax his coffin,
Tax his grave,
Tax the sod in

Earthquake in Japan.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Let's press the Matthew chapter 24 button again, folks!  There is nothing like true to life, right in your face Bible Prophecy to wake you up in the morning!  Wow!  And yesterday I heard about another earthquake in South America... again.  Enjoy... Happy Friday.

Tom Schuckman

The biggest earthquake to hit Japan since records began almost 150 years ago smashed into the country's northeast coast today, triggering a 32-foot tsunami that swept away boats, cars and homes and killed hundreds of people. Large waves are now rolling into Hawaii, where thousands of people have been evacuated from the islands' coastline, and toward the U.S. West Coast.

The 8.9-magnitude quake's epicenter was 231 miles northeast of Tokyo, the United States Geological Survey reported. But the destruction caused by the natural disaster is expected to spread far beyond Japan, as the Red Cross in Geneva reported the swell moving across the Pacific was higher than some islands.
In preparation, authorities in Hawaii ordered the evacuation of all coastal areas. The first waves -- measuring at least 3 feet high -- barreled into Oahu and Kauai at around 6 a.m.Pacific Standard Time, and officials warned that the waves would continue and could become larger. In the tourist district of Waikiki, visitors were moved to higher floors of their hotels. Elsewhere, residents queued at stores selling emergency supplies, including gas, bottled water, canned food and generators.

"We're preparing for the worst and we're praying for the best," John Cummings III, spokesman for the Honolulu Department of Emergency Management, told the Associated Press.

Tsunami warnings have also been issued for the whole of the Pacific Basin, including the Philippines, Indonesia, Taiwan and Russia.

So far, authorities in Japan have confirmed 88 deaths caused by the natural disaster. But the final death toll will be far higher. Police in Miyagi Prefecture, the most severely hit area in northeastern Japan, told Kyodo news that between 200 to 300 bodies had been found in the coastal city of Sendai. They are thought to have drowned in the tsunami.

Elsewhere in the prefecture, a ship carrying 100 people was swept away when the tsunami hit, according to reports on NHK television. The vessel's fate is currently unknown.

The monster wave has wrecked chaos along the country's northeastern coast. Towering swells tossed around fishing boats, cars and trucks like toys and sent them crashing into bridges and apartment blocks. The overwhelming power of the wave could be seen in the port of Hachinohe in Miyagi, where two huge cargo vessels were ripped from their moorings and thrown on their sides.

Fires have broken out across the quake zone. Storage tanks exploded at a 220,000 barrel-a-day oil refinery in the city of Chiba, near Tokyo, and flames ripped through the turbine building of the Onagawa nuclear plant in Miyagi Prefecture. A state of emergency was also declared at a nuclear power station in Fukushima after its cooling system failed following the quake.

However, Prime Minister Naoto Kan told a press conference that no radiation leaks had been detected at Japan's nuclear power stations. The International Atomic Energy Agency echoed Kan's assurances in a statement Friday, reporting that "the four Japanese nuclear power plants closest to the quake have been safely shut down."

Residents and workers in Tokyo have gathered in parks and open spaces as aftershocks continue to rock the city. There were reports of about 20 people injured in the capital after the roof of a hall collapsed onto a graduation ceremony.

Many residents said they had never experienced such a powerful quake. "I was terrified, and I'm still frightened," Hidekatsu Hata, manager of a noodle restaurant in Tokyo's Akasaka area, told Reuters. "I've never experienced such a big quake before."

Office worker Jeffrey Balanag told the BBC that he was stuck in the Shiodome Sumitomo skyscraper in the center of the capital, because elevators had stopped working. "There's no panic, but we're almost seasick from the constant rolling of the building," he said.

What's an Infidel?

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

 WHAT'S AN INFIDEL ?

               WHAT'S AN INFIDEL ?

This is a true story and the author, Rick Mathes, is a well-known leader in prison ministry.

The man who walks with God always
gets to his destination. If you have a
pulse you have a purpose.

The Muslim religion is the fastest
growing religion per capita in the
United States , especially in the
minority races!!

Last month I attended my annual
training session that's required for
maintaining my state prison
security clearance.
During the training session there was a presentation by three speakers
representing the Roman Catholic,
Protestant and Muslim faiths,
who each explained their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in
what the Islamic had to say.
The Muslim gave a great presentation
of the basics of Islam, complete
with a video.

After the presentations, time was
provided for questions and answers.
When it was my turn, I directed
my question to the Muslim and asked:
'Please, correct me if I'm wrong,
but I understand that most Imams and
clerics of Islam have declared
a holy jihad [Holy war] against the
infidels of the world and, that by
killing an infidel,
(which is a command to all Muslims)
they are assured of a place in heaven.
If that's the case, can you give me
the definition of an infidel?'

There was no disagreement with my
statements and, without hesitation,
he replied, 'Non-believers!'
I responded, 'So, let me make sure
I have this straight. All followers of
Allah have been commanded to kill
everyone who is not of your faith so
they can have a place in heaven.
Is that correct?'
The expression on his face
changed from one of authority
and command to that of a
little boy who had just been
caught with his hand
in the cookie jar.'

He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'

I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have
a real problem trying to
imagine The Pope commanding
all Catholics to kill those of
your faith or Dr.Stanley ordering
all Protestants to do the same
in order to guarantee them
a place in heaven!'
The Muslim was speechless!

I continued, 'I also have a
problem with being your friend
when you and your brother clerics
are telling your followers to
kill me! Let me ask you a question:
Would you rather have your Allah,
who tells you to kill me in
order for you to go to heaven,
or my Jesus who tells me to
love you because I am going
to heaven and He wants you
to be there with me?'
You could have heard a pin
drop as the Imam hung his
head in shame.

Needless to say, the organizers
and/or promoters of the
'Diversification' training seminar
were not happy with my way
of dealing with the Islamic Imam,
and exposing the truth
about the Muslims' beliefs.
In twenty years there will be
enough Muslim voters in the
U.S. to elect the President!

I think everyone in the U.S.
should be required to read this,
but with the ACLU, there is no
way this will be widely
publicized, unless each of us
sends it on! This is your chance
to make a difference...

FOR CHRIST'S SAKE....SEND THIS ON . . .

Rep. M. Bachman.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

I was almost done spell checking and proof reading my last post, about Death, being but a door or gate to everlasting life-- in one place of another [all my own words and thoughts], and then struck a wrong key, and lost it all....aw shucks!  But I found something even more interesting.   I have always liked and admired this lady, Rep. Michele Bachman, but I didn't know that she was such a strong, well studied Christian, unafraid to tell the truth straight out with out fear!  She puts most of the men in America to shame.  We all need to hear this, and I support her words in this post 110%!

I plan to see Sharon again in the morning for another game of chess and visiting/ chat.  This has been the longest, loneliest Winter that I can remember!  My dad used to tell me: 'Never be a quitter' and so me thinks it would be foolish to give up the ship when things could start erupting any time.  Another prospective is that right now, things in the world are EXCITING!  That was the same mindset I had while in combat: 68-70 -- the 'addictive thrill of danger'... and I know that MOST of you guys will think I am crazy [and the VA too...]... lol.  but after I got home, I needed to 'replace' that thrill with something-- and it turned out to be motorcycles, and latter the Bible.

By August Rosado Today in Bible Prophecy Ministries US Rep Michele Bachman hit the nail on the head when she went to bat for Israel, and warned of serious consequences for America. She called Obama "a Gangster" because of his failed Mid-East policies, and Anti-Israel attitude. She refused to withdraw her comments and stand by her statements. She said she has respect for the Torah, the first five

Comment from a friend.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Here is a personal comment from a friend named Mark H.
It has several dear, important scriptures that are special to me, but his points are well taken pertaining to many 'half baked' Christians [no insult intended, please]... and that is:  many people need more guidance, I think, than to just be guided through some 'prayer' and then left on their own, only to go back to worldly, sinful thinking and life style!  If at all possible, the 'new Christian' ought to be led, nurtured and invited to meet with Biblical, mature Christians who set the right example with contact points, book studies, and other 'tools' to help them on their road to Christian maturity.  After all, getting Saved is only the beginning of our spiritual life and work of sharing the Gospel with others.

Tom S

I think that it's OK to speculate among brothers in Christ. The Problem is teaching and preaching to the lost and babies in Christ that they don't have to worry about the mark of the beast or the anti-Christ because we wont be here. There is already is many false converts who said the prayer for the wrong reason and soon fall away, thinking that they are saved because something they did like say a prayer or being sorry for all the bad thing they done. No true repentance or born-again of the Spirit. I know it's not anything that we can add to salvation as that comes through Christ. His death was not for us to not see persecution. If you follow Him there will be persecution. Look at all the Martyrs in the dark ages they were tormented chased from country to country their babies cut to pieces before their eyes. What makes most Christians think that we wont suffer great losses also. We are truly a spoiled nation that God has blessed. I think the blessings are coming to an end. I have seen web pages that say there will be no mark of the beast until we are gone.
 I love ya !!!
2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
(1Cor 2:13 [KJV])
Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

Ask the spirit for understanding every-time you open Gods word.

Pray for the Marines in Combat.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

I have never re- posted stuff from FaceBook before and hope I am not breaking any 'rules' -- but I think this subject matter has merit. Regardless of my personal opinions about the prosecution of the war in Afghanistan, my own nephews and friends of friends are fighting over there-- much like my generation did in Vietnam. "Our's is not to ponder why-- our's is but to do or die..." ~an old [and young] soldier's slogan. IMHO, this is a very mismanaged war by a goof ball in the WH who can't even speak without a teleprompter or someone holding his hand-- and NO practical experience in any field except Chicago style corruption! At least, Sarah Palin was the Commander in Chief of her State's National Guard and is qualified with a rifle...Ha!

As I was preparing to go to the Milwaukee VAMC [Veteran's Administration Medical Center], the VA called to ask me a few minutes ago to reschedule my appointment for today because 2 of their regular Orthopedic Doctors are sick today. So I didn't really have any choice but to comply.
My good friend, Joe vander Mullen, was so kind as to come over early this morning to help take my trash out to the back alley for pick up today! THANK YOU, BRO. JOE!! Joe is in his mid-80's and has his own health concerns. Please pray for Joe, and his fine wife, Doris.

Well, if the VA appointed cleaning lady doesn't come today, I am thinking that I might hobble to my truck and visit Sharon-- for another stimulating game of CHESS, and visiting, but we shall see. The 'gas situation' will have a draining effect on most Americans-- and that is MY humble guess.

Please also pray for the Marines mentioned below in a FaceBook message who are fighting and dying to keep the enemy of America 'contained' "over there" rather than fight in our own country. However... me thinks that the enemy is ALREADY in America via transit through our Southern border... and don't they somewhat resemble our Mexican neighbors so that they can pass for one of them and move around undetected .... duh?? Why is it that most of America understands this simple truth/ reality, but 'Homeland Security' and the WH don't??

My last thought today in posting this humble Blog is Psalm 37, that Joe vander Mullen asked me to read yesterday, but this is only the first 3 verses... "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. [2] For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. [3] Trust in the LORD, and do good, so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed." The term: "Fret", means: eat away, gnaw, irritate, vex, annoy, worry. My great "DEFINED King James version Bible" has footnotes of all the uncommon, archaic, Old English terms on the bottom of each page to help the new Christian better understand the Scriptures. These fine Bibles are not very expensive, but a 'Medium print bible' cost only about $15-- hard cover. See this fine web site: biblefortoday.org

Warm Regards,
Tom Schuckman
