Dear Readers and Friends,
The Woodstock Nursing Home in Kenosha, WI just called up on the land phone to tell me that my dear wife, Sharon L. Schuckman, just passed away a few minutes ago with breathing problems and low blood pressure.  They said that when they check on Sharon earlier this morning that she said she felt good, and they also told me that she did not suffer any pain.  I know that Sharon is in heaven now, and I am so very alone.  I just saw her 2 days ago and played a game of chess with her, etc.

Prayers for me are requested.  I am very depressed, and can barely type thru my tears.  This is a very sad day in my life.

We had made plans for our funerals, etc., plus I had specific 'Power of Attorney' over my wife, and visa versa in case of such emergencies, etc., and Sharon wanted her body donated to the University of Wisconsin- Medicine, for research-- her wishes, and I will comply.  I am in a quandary as to what to do right now.

My fav. book produced by Randy Alcorn is:  SAFELY HOME, [about the Christian Chinese brothers who must still practice their Faith 'underground' in Communist China] who face REAL persecution and hardship.  And now this greater point/ subject of Hell,  MUST be discussed and shared with every Christian and others ASAP, so that they know the absolute truth.  Jesus talked about Hell more often than Heaven!  So we MUST be straight on this one, please, and share it with every one you ever cared for.  For there are many false teachers and 'pastors' who teach false hoods and sell theirs lying books!  The Church is being tossed upside down right now, before Rapture, so those who THINK that they can just slip by without actually knowing and understanding the Bible will be hurt and misled.  Randy Alcorn makes some valuable points in the below article.  Important.

Well, I had to replace my toilet this morning for $344... ouch, but it's something that I personally need in a 'large way' in my humble hovel.  Got one that was 'high' for arthritis knees/ joints, powerful water flush  and large diameter 'throat.'  I can skimp on somethings-- but need the best product on others...

I decided to buy a good Omega fruit and veggie Juicer today too, as I will be going into a special juice diet that will help me get back into more healthy foods, etc., and drop in weight-- because it's KILLING ME!  I honestly don't care about my looks so much but my joints are hurting so bad, and this is one way of helping that situation and also detox my body.  My youngest daughter, Sarah, is an expert in this field, and is helping me.   You got to know that I am so desperate and at the end of my rope with pain and dissatisfaction, especially since the 'surgery' I had on Dec. 6th last year at the Milwaukee VA, and I have been hearing so many other Veterans tell me the same thing.... sorry.   Prayers requested for my success, please, and this is a 'Life Style' -- not just a new fad/ diet.  It won't be easy for me.  

I hate to get political today, but if the country shuts down-- the worst thing would be to starve our military families and troops for lack of pay $$ !!  I don't even want to take sides, but the military pay roll ought to be a 'sacred cow', and untouchable, in my opinion!  Shame on our Congress and Administration!  And Planned Parenthood IS 90% about abortion, and the EPA / and Global Warming is a rotten joke and LIE!  I don't want MY tax dollars going to exterminate innocent children-- abortion!  I just may start sewing the rattle snake/ 'Don't tread on me' flag on some of my shirts and coats... lol.  

My 'new' Study Bible is the:  Old Scofield Study System- KJV, as now I know more older KJV terms and 1611 words from using the DEFINED KJV Bible.  My war buddy did me a great service by giving- SENDING me a copy of the Scofield Bible, and I cherish it!  Thanks, JR-  'RobinHood.'

One of the crew members [gunner and crew chief] from my old Army Aviation Company-- the 240th AHC, at Camp BearCat, Vietnam, Joe Tarnovsky, asked me to post this timely message to make sure that others of the 240th AHC can help understand and share the word.  I have the greatest respect for these guys who are true Patriots and lovers/ fighters for Freedom!  Thanks, Joe!

Thanks, Tom, for passing this on and thank ROBIN HOOD 7200 too! Sounds like Walt is doing better but still not completely out of the woods yet. Life style changes, huh, well I know I could do that and maybe I will now. Please pass on that the prayers from myself and Cecelia will still be coming and we wish Walt and Mary NOTHING BUT THE VERY BEST AND A COMPLETE RECOVERY.

 

I have finally found someone to carry on the legacy of my 240th websites that was done with so much care, respect and love that the late Ms. Linda Luther put into LZ, Flightline and Flight Operations. Barb Weber, one of Walt's three lovely daughters, talked with her middle sister, Mary, who is a professional web designer, and Mary volunteered to correct any problems with the three older sites and will help me construct the new site that I have wanted to start to carry on the 240th legacy. I have asked Barb to ask her father, Walt, if he would do the honor of naming this new website when he is feeling better. The colors of the new site will be white font on a background of green, the colors of the 240th AHC and the first page will have the picture of the 240th sign that I put Walt's name on the bottom. The second page will be of Walt's pics and memories. Tom, please put this on your blog, if you don't mind, and let others know a fourth 240th website is coming and if anyone has ideas, memories, pictures or other memorabilia to share, I would be honored to put them on the new site. I apologize to anybody that wanted to post on the 3 older websites but I know nothing about the workings of the website space and didn't want to spoil anything already put online by the 240th's wonderful friend, Ms. Linda Luther. I have been looking for someone that I could trust and would do great work and was reasonable and the Good Lord dropped Barb and Mary Weber into the 240th's LZ!!!! Although Mary has volunteered to do the new website and maintain the three existing sites for free, Cecelia and I would never allow her to do all that work for nothing. We can't afford to pay her what a professional website designer is entitled to for such intricate work but we will pay her something. Thanks to Barb and Mary Weber, two ladies that have the same love, honor and respect for the 240th AHC that their Dad and stepmom, Walt and Mary Weber have, so now we will be able to go forward and start the fourth 240th website.

I am STILL very surprised that so many Christians and churches don't know or understand the  important biblical truth about Israel and Jerusalem!  The prophecy and promise of Genesis 12:3 is still valid, of course, and Zechariah 2:8 ought to be common knowledge-- as close as it is!  "For thus saith the Lord of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye."  Would any sensible human being really want to stick their dirty finger in GOD's EYE BALL ??  Talk about big time WRATH and ANGER!  

Perhaps MOST of the Church is asleep, or too busy working to stay alive in this earthly 'rat race.'  But some surveys show that 70% of Americans 'consider' themselves to be Christians, and if that is so, they must bear what is called a 'community responsibility' for allowing their "leaders" to abandon, hurt, put pressure, on ISRAEL, the apple of God's eye!  This all means that perhaps many who sit in churches on Sunday may not be Raptured up.  You be the judge-- but the scriptures are clear in the following article.  But I have been harping on this subject for many months-- but get no real serious comments or emails.  Either you understand and support this, or you don't!

My circle of Christian friends, and the writers of Bible Prophecies, believe that Israel will have to protect herself from all her hostile neighbors who continue to lobe rockets, mortars and murder across the border, at some point.  Scripture says that the city of Damascus will be leveled as the enemy of Israel, and the Jews will re-claim all the land stolen from them by the Muslim nations... the land belongs to Israel-- given to them by GOD!  I can hardly wait because we believe the Rapture should soon follow that main event!  Are YOU ready? 

I am still in shock that one of my best friends and fellow Army aviator/ gunner/ crew chief in Vietnam- 240th AHC, Jim Hood [RobinHood] sent me an expensive Scofield Study bible in the mail today!  He said it will make me smart... and I just love it already!  Thanks, Bro. Jim.  God bless you and your family, who live in SC.  Prayers too for another helicopter door gunner brother, Walter E. Weber, who had heart related complications and surgery recently in NC.  He is having a hard time and real pain.  So many of our good combat troops went over to Vietnam with mixed ideas, not knowing the Lord or the Bible, but now many of us DO!  What a horrible pity when a soldier is facing death every day-- still not knowing for sure whee he will go if he gets killed on that 'field of honor.'  Jim Hood and I both know that God had a special reason for saving us from death some 40 years ago-- and it's NOT because we were "good !"  I was breaking most of the rules all the time... but now I see the light.  Jim respects my ministry to the combat Veterans all over, including the Vets at the local VA hospital... handing out free bibles and tracts.  I figure that it's the least I can do for the Lord.  God bless Jim and Walter, and my wife, Sharon.

I am an optimist-- but I also know that Murphy's Law goes into effect most of the time, unfortunately.  I love the Boy Scout motto:  BE PREPARED, and the Army teaches just about the same thing.  All Soldiers know basic First Aid for combat situations, etc., and many employers love to hire Veterans because they KNOW how to take orders and use their heads!  American Motors hired me on 11-7-72 for those reasons plus the guy liked me as he knew that I was raised on a farm-- and not afraid of work.  

It's only common sense to understand that our 'emergency civil workers' and FEMA will be over whelmed  by any major disaster coming down the pike-- as proven before.  The following is a good tip that I wanted to pass on, as my good friend, Bob Melby, shared with me.

You may have already seen this, but it seems to be valuable info, I am SO impressed by this...looks awesome!!!

My experience with burns is this:

Once I was cooking some corn and stuck my fork in the boiling water to see if the corn was ready. I missed and my hand went into the boiling water....

A friend of mine, who was a Vietnam vet, came into the house, just as I was screaming, and asked me if I had some plain old flour...

I pulled out a bag and he stuck my hand in it. He said to keep my hand in the flour for 10 mins. which I did. He said that in Vietnam, this guy was on fire and in their panic, they threw a bag of flour all over him to put the fire out...well, it not only put the flour out, but he never even had a blister!!!!

SOOOO, long story short, I put my hand in the bag of flour for 10 mins, pulled it out and had not even a red mark or a blister and absolutely NO PAIN. Now, I keep a bag of flour in the fridge and every time I burn myself, I use the flour and never ONCE have I ever had a red spot, a burn or a blister!
*COLD FLOUR feels even better than room temperature flour.

Miracle, if you ask me. Keep a bag of white flour in your fridge and you will be happy you did. I even burnt my tongue and put the flour on it for about 10 mins. and the pain was gone and no burn. Try it!

BTW, don't run your burn area under cold water first, just put it right into the flour for 10 mins and experience a miracle!

 I am passing along a great letter from my friend's daughter, Barb, who gave me a few more details of Walter Weber's health condition, former helicopter door gunner of the 240th AHC [Assault Helicopter Company] - BearCat, Vietnam: 69-70, with whom I proudly served with at the same time in 'Nam.  You might say that we both belong to an 'exclusive club' that has a very strong 'bond of brothers.'  We might have differences of opinions, argue, fight and joke a lot-- but we will always remain brothers-- with real love and concern for each other.  What really excites me is when I hear that some of these brothers also become my 'Brothers in CHRIST !'  Then we shall meet again in Heaven when we die-- if we don't get Raptured before that.  So it's a double joy, and I so enjoy their emails, phone calls and company!  Thank all my friends on FB who offered prayers and kind words too!
    Thank You, Lord, for letting me serve with perhaps the finest helicopter outfit in Vietnam, the 240th AHC, and allowing MOST of us to return home to the USA and praise Your holy name!   Please heal our friend and brother, Walter Weber, if it be Your will.  Amen.

This is Walt Weber's daughter Barbara.  I cannot thank you enough for sending 
word to fellow 240th member Jim Hood about my dads condition.  Jim is here at 
the hospital with us right now after he made a 200 mile journey to get here.  He 
hasn't seen my dad in 40 years and remembered my dad well.   To do something like 
that.. Get in your vehicle and drive a distance to see someone you haven't 
uttered a word to in 4 decades is amazing.  Hearing some of the old stories and 
also having the support from another 240th brother means so much and has helped 
us to stay positive.  We started video taping Jim from my sisters laptop while 
he was talking to show dad when he comes out of this... From one Christian to 
another I thank you from the bottom of my heart.  About an hour after Jim got 
here (about 15 minutes ago) I went in to see my dad and My dad opened his eyes 
for the first time in 4 days and when he saw me and recognized me he started to 
cry.  We don't want him too upset due to his blood pressure so we stepped out for 
a few moments and I decided to write you.  He's in rough shape and in a lot of 
pain.  He is not out of the clear at this point.. The power of prayer and faith 
in the Lord has gotten me and my sisters through and will carry us forward.  I 
just wanted you to know how much it means and how impactful your getting the 
word out has been.  Thank you so much.
