Intolerance for Christianity.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Here, you see!  This is not just a figment of my imagination, a drunk dream, not paranoia, or a persecution complex!  This is the real McCoy, not as bad as N.Korea, China or Iran... yet, but don't worry folks, if the Bible predicts/ prophesied it -- Titus 1:2 ! 'God cannot lie'  --It WILL HAPPEN, even here in Socialist America!  BTW, not to sound like sour grapes or a so-called, "Dooms- Dayer", but many MAJOR disasters and "critical times hard to deal with" will visit the USA in the coming FEW months-- and yes, you heard it here on TOM'S JOURNAL [and in the Bible, or course].

Flash!  Read between the lines, folks!  Most of our oil refineries are located in Louisiana, right on the Mississippi where the floods are headed.  Now here is the way we ought to look at this--Just ONE disaster is bad enough and can be dealt with and over come.  But 3, 4, 5, in a row, combined can 'take the breath away from a country', bankrupt it, or set it back for light years!  Wise men, and/ or well read Bible students, with the Holy Spirit guiding them can figure these things out...  duh.. lol.  And we just can't understand why the common/ average man still has his head in the sand, following some goofy, lying politician telling us that 'ALL IS WELL!'  Yes, I do know the reasons for that-- all scriptural, and I can quote the Book all day long-- but MOST folks on this planet just don't care until they completely run out of food and money, or sitting on the street curb.  Some things just don't change-- so why should I get excited -- yet I continue to write this humble blog.

Personally, having just gone through two great losses in my life this past month, I don't much care too much about anything-- and just trying to maintain my sanity, licking my wounds-- knowing that it's just me that will pulling myself up by my bootstraps, but that's OK.  That's the norm.  See: 2nd Timothy 3.. again:  "This know also, that in the last days perilous time shall come. 2. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy. 3. Without natural affection, truce breakers [divorce], false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers or those that are good, 4. Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God...." etc, etc. ~KJV.  There is a lot more, but you get the general picture.  Mind you, these things are really going on to the extreme, faster than in old times, so that we are facing a national and global break down, but most of us, Christians included, are already anesthetized so that we think this is the norm.

Well, where do we go from here, now that we see the unvarnished truth?  Forsake all material things, lusts, pull away from practicing gross sin and perversions, and and throw in YOUR lot with God, NOW!!  Homosexuality is just as bad as adultery, fornication, greed, murder, stealing and the rest!  It's true, Christ died for us so that we can be forgiven, but have we kept our vows to walk in His way, as His disciples, in His discipline?  "GOD IS NOT ONE TO BE MOCKED"  ~Galatians 6:7

Growing Intolerance for Christianity in U.S.

By Delores Liesner | Christian Post Contributor

"In a world of political correctness devoid of the rule of law, tolerance has come to mean total rejection of Christianity and moral standards. Modern tolerance redefines words like 'marriage,' 'discrimination,' 'equality,' 'morality,' and even 'absolutes.' The word 'tolerance' as it is used today never includes opposing arguments or competing worldviews. Tolerance has become Orwellian and decidedly intolerant." – Matthew Staver, Dean and Professor of Law at Liberty University School of Law.

A few examples of recent intolerance for Christianity:
• The Supreme court determining to exclude anyone who prays in Jesus name from a rotation of officials who open city business meetings
• The removal of US military Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt, over the issue of praying in Jesus Name
• UCLA’s prohibiting a graduating student from thanking her “Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” in her graduation speech
• Colleges making special accommodations for foot baths and Muslim only prayer rooms, while a Muslim group membership may be suspended or revoked for 57 reasons including but not limited to: unbecoming behavior, insubordination, or inactivity; but denying Christian groups campus recognition “because it requires its officers and voting members to agree with its Christian beliefs"
Like us on Facebook
• A San Diego elementary school created an extra recess period to allow 100 Muslim students to pray, while a federal judge upheld a Knoxville, Ky., jury’s decision that a public school could prohibit its 5th grade Christian students from studying and discussing their Bibles during recess
• Christians in America have to tolerate the defamation of their holiest images in national museums, including particularly provocative, offensive acts defined as "artwork," some receiving taxpayer-funded grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. On the other hand, several college editors who cited freedom of speech when republishing anti-Muslim cartoons first published in a Danish newspaper, were fired or disciplined because they were offensive to Muslim students
• The Council on American-Islamic Relations (Los Angeles) requested an investigation of the desecration of a Quran, Islam's revealed text, as a hate crime. Conversely, when Palestinians tore up Bibles for toilet paper (May 15, 2002, The Washington Times) there was no outrage, and after a church in the U.S. saved and held fundraisers to afford the cost of buying and shipping requested Bibles in the Pashto and Dari language to an American sergeant in Afghanistan, the Bibles were confiscated, thrown away, and burned. The only official comment about burning the Bibles was this one, by a Defense Department spokesman, “Troops in war zones are required to "burn their trash."
These incidents have raised several questions that Brannon Howse, author and founder of Worldview Weekend, agreed to answer:
CP: Would you consider these examples of intolerance shocking or unexpected?
Howse: Not at all. Jesus said all nations will hate you. If you are a Bible-minded believer such persecution should not be uncommon or a surprise,” he stated, quoting 2 Timothy 3:12 “all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.
CP: With 38,000 denominations declared as Christian, why does the world’s into

Are Homosexuals Saved?

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

I found this short article timely and balanced, since I know a few people who still have this challenge/ lifestyle. Having a godly, biblical view on this subject is very important to me-- but in the past, 1960's-- my culture was taught to abhor/ hate people who were 'Gay' and Lesbian.  With serious Bible study and prayer, all of us can understand and deal with this subject matter to gain the 'balance' we need to be good, correct Christians.  The old Army adage/ comparison of:  'Does it matter how you get killed, by rifle, bayonet, hand grenade or whatever-- you're still dead!'  So it is with sin before God.  All sin makes us deserving of hell forever--BUT we have the ransom sacrifice at the Cross of Christ for true forgiveness, redemption, and salvation!  PTL.   However, that doesn't give us license to run wild and commit every gross sin imaginable AFTER we are Saved!!
"God is not one to be mocked" ~ Galatians 6:7.  Lest we forget.

But now the willfully ignorant ones we have to work with or bump into THINK that they can get away with their perverted life style without impunity or punishment.  Actually, most of them don't fear God, but really love to FLAUNT their perversions in our face-- and in God's face too!  'That trips my trigger...' but I have to hold my personal anger inside, and wait on the Lord to 'correct things' in due time.  I am a sinner too, and need God's forgiveness... not that I am PRACTICING any gross sins, but I still have plenty of personality flaws to work on, with the power of the Holy Spirit.

It would be nice to get a few comments.
Thanks you all for your many prayers and well wishes in my time of deep sorrow and need for companionship-- all alone and fending for myself in small town, Wisconsin.

Are Any Homosexuals Saved?

Do you believe that a person can truly be born again and be active in the homosexual lifestyle? I know several who believe they are born again and are very active.

Q. Do you believe that a person can truly be born again and be active in the homosexual lifestyle? I know several who believe they are born again and are very active.
A. The Bible classifies homosexuality as a sin, just like stealing, adultery, murder, etc.(Lev. 18:22 & Rom. 1:26-27)) People don’t have to stop sinning before they can be saved, but the regenerative work of the Holy Spirit is intended to draw us into a life pleasing to God. Most people, while still being sinners, experience a diminished enjoyment of their sins as the Holy Spirit convicts them of a need to change. And yet Christians commit adultery, kill people and steal from others just like non- believers. And they engage in homosexual behavior. The question isn’t whether we still sin, but whether we recognize our sinful behavior as such and seek forgiveness.
A believer who denies that homosexuality is a sin is like one who denies that adultery is a sin. They’re kidding them selves and rebelling against the Holy Spirit’s convictions. Eventually one would question whether they were really saved. But a sinner who admits he or she is a sinner and sincerely asks for forgiveness deserves to get it “even 70 times 7 times” (Matt 18:22.) They deserve our prayers and support as well. We have no idea what demons they’re fighting, jut like they have no idea of ours. Remember, if we could stop sinning we wouldn’t need a Savior.

Anger of the Nations.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

I don't know why I am so happy again... but I just talked to an old friend who used to teach for the University of Wisconsin, also a well read biblical Christian.  I compare that to living in a strange land where English isn't spoken very much, and you find someone who does!  When I first got to Germany in early 1968, and was on a train to my first duty station, Illisheim, a small town of 300, with a few thousand American G.I.'s on post,  I didn't get off at the right place but went all the way to Stuttgart by accident.  I got off into the Banhoff [train station] and looked all over for any one who could speak English and finally saw a black guy, thinking he MUST be a G.I., but he spoke nothing but French..Ha! What a bummer, so I had to back track to get to the correct place, and it was cold in January.

Well, building on my last 2 posts, when a Christian throws out certain well know terms like:  "Rapture, Saved, Born Again, Great Tribulation, Salvation thru the blood of the Lamb, etc." we think that other people who attend church and "call" themselves Christian would know what we are talking about !!  But they don't, and you can tell so well just by looking at their face-- kind of like a German Sheppard hound dog staring into a fan on a hot day... duh.  In fact WE speak a 'different tongue' that you might call, 'Bible-ese.'   Because EVERYONE who has the Holy Spirit and studies the Bible in good form KNOWS what it's all about!   Just like an Army TM [technical manual]  I am NOT saying that we are any better than others-- but if we are indeed Saved, that means we are going to heaven.  Period. Are we perfect?  Heavens NO!  We still sin, but one would hope that we apply what we read and follow Christ as much as we can while on earth as sinners.  I just think that this is such a cool concept.  We ought NOT to be smug or have a superior attitude about us, because we didn't really deserve our crown of glory-- Jesus did it all for us.  And for many of us-- it's still hard to remind ourselves that as things get MUCH worse on earth economically, with more violence, more disrespect for us and our Gospel of Jesus Christ, and almighty God, Himself -- our salvation draws near, every minute, every day!  And so the bondage between 2 real Christians is such a valued, wonderful thing!  Thank you, Lord.  And thank you, M.E., for brightening up my day and feeling a bit of my pain after a great loss.  Who knows that the Lord may be ready to bless TWO people in the future, and make things easier in these last days.  "Do not become unevenly yoked with UN-believers." ~2nd Cor. 3:16.  And in Eccl:  'If one falls down, the other can pick him up.'  Don't worry--I am NOT counting my chickens before they're hatched, or even IF they hatch.  But perhaps, 'one hand could wash the other' and benefit him or her.

My son, Andy, and my cleaning lady should come here tomorrow, and that will be a welcome sight and help.  I went shopping for some greens and salad fixins' today and cashed my Federal tax check at the bank-- which wasn't that much, but better than a sharp stick in the eye.. LOL!  I feel the Lord is blessing me, but not to get heady-- we may well die in our sleep tonight.   I look upon that as a blessing too.
And for all those I have offended lately-- I am truly sorry... remember that I am ONLY a man, only a poor sinner.

Off the Grid.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Friends,
I thought I would share some more 'off the grid' -- how to it yourself, stuff [Great Links]... below.

I only stayed for the Christian Sunday school for adults that starts at 0900, and then I felt some strange 'bubbling' in my lower extremities and decided it might be smart to go home before I passed something...  sorry.   I already took one shower this morning...   But the pastor, George Schlegel, brought the congregation up to speed on the young boy, Torrey ['s] progress, and he is doing well, eating, etc, but we must remember what he's been through!  Poor kid.  Seems like the "News Media" is praising the school "back pack" and giving "IT" all the credit and glory...Ha!  What idiot UNBELIEVERS!  Don't you think that God had SOMETHING to do with protecting Cory ??? Duh...  'Ignorance can be cured-- but stupid is forever!'

We were studying Genesis 22, where Abraham was tested in a big way-- having the will in his heart to sacrifice his only son, Isaac, as a burnt offering to the Lord-- but was held back at the last second when God read his heart of obedience.  When the chips are down with nobody to help you-- you have got to put all of your trust in God's hands, and OBEY!  I ALWAYS have to put in the disclaimer, that Tom Schuckman loved college and learning!  But too many people put their trust in their OWN higher learning, with their sheep skins and degrees-- instead of heeding Proverbs 3:5:  "Trust the Lord with all your heart;  and do not lean upon your own understanding."  I USED to be that way until the Lord 'broke' my back, neck and ribs... lol.  Yes, I used to be a stiff necked man, too prideful, and full of myself.  But now I trust in God, and I have more peace in my heart.  Some/ most folks will NEVER understand this simple  concept, because they won't surrender their personal pride, will, acceptance to Jesus Christ.  They may know the correct words, and talk the talk, but they are still unbelievers and have not the Holy Spirit.  If they can't beat you or talk straight Bible doctrine-- trust me-- they will attack your character, your past, and spout off this world of Satan's "politically correct" trash, trying to pull you down,  promote the 'New Age' trash, cleaning up the world and giving all our money to poor people-- unbelievers, Islamic folks/ countries who hate us, but demand more money and food/ guns!   Because they cannot fully understand the Scriptures [they lack the Holy Spirit] unbelievers love to force THEIR perverted, truncated brand of 'Christianity' on all others that they can manipulate and control.  Beware.  I thought I had a few friends, but they turned out to be in this category.  Hey!  They were never real friends to start with.   "Do not become unequally yoked with UNBELIEVERS!"  And also watch out and beware how unbelievers will take a scripture out of context, pervert it to "prove" their own theory or agenda.

I hope I am not plowing the same piece of land, but, not all real, biblical Christian are, will, can, be rich! In fact the first Century Christians were mostly POOR!  Anyone spreading a "different Gospel" is wrong.  If God has blessed some of us-- great!  That means we can pay our bills and help others in the Christian community/ world.  Jesus fed the crowds-- but He knew that feeding their hearts and minds with godly things was much better.  So don't let any tin horn, wanna be, lay a guilt trip on you, dear brothers and sisters, that you are obligated to give all your money to feed the poor [who usually have enough money somehow, someway to buy smokes, drugs and booze!].   God will take care of His humble servants.

Tom Schuckman -- if I could get back into shape again....

Dear Tom,
How we view the earth, and our place in it, determines to a great extent how effective we are in the stewardship of not just the earth and its resources, but how effective we are in our personal lives as well. In that same vein, the worldview of those we place in government also determines how effective they are in the stewardship of the resources entrusted to them, namely the welfare of the citizenry and the economic stability of the country.
When we displace God as the creator of life and arbiter of law in our world, we are left not with godlessness but with tin gods. Within that displacement, you see the breakdown of society and the destruction of the means and ability to be economically productive.
We are fully accountable to God for how we utilize the resources and intellectual capital that have been entrusted to us. When we see the bankruptcy of our government and our economy, we must accept that we are responsible for that bankruptcy. How we respond will determine the course of our future.

Sipping Juice.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

I thought I'd pass on some great ideas and Links from my friend, Mark Hoppe, fellow soldier of Christ and smart buddy, IMHO.  I expect some of the readers will say, "Oh, Tom's got a brand new toy and is hung up on a new 'theory' or health kick..." I well remember sharing some good things with the public, like:  The DEFINED KJV Bible, which helped many people understand the old, archaic English terms - Shakespearean of 1611, and I still love that translation!  Lately, a dear friend of mine, another helicopter crew chief/ gunner sent me a Scofield KJV Study Bible in the mail, and I thought that was the toast of the town, and I still love and cherish it-- great for deep study and understanding!  You see, we can embrace different concepts, tools to help us, study regimens, but we can NEVER skip the tether or cut the rope or chain that holds us near to God.  Hey!  It's the pure KJV Bible that we adhere to-- and NOT fancy words from some higher learning school of worldly beliefs.  The Bible was written by MEN who were inspired BY GOD: ~2nd Timothy 3:16.  Don't let some unbelieving worldly person drag you into his swamp of  fancy mindsets that tend to draw you away from the Bible !!   It's really a dung heap on it's way to hell... lol.  Well, if it really works, and the proof is in the pudding, DON'T FIX IT!!  Maybe it's like AA and alcoholics, time will prove what works and what doesn't work.   Who stays sober for the Lord-- and who keeps relapsing to get more DUI's.  So let's use a poor old fat man who struggles with sin and the world of foolishness, imperfect  crippled sinner man that I know"  Old Soldier Tom!  Some people just hate me [mostly for what I STAND FOR-- Pure Biblical Christianity, and Salvation through Christ's Blood alone-- not our past or present "works" or achievements].  Too many unbelievers think [thanks to greedy pastors, churches, stupid tradition, priests]  that they can "earn", work, donate, help the poor folks-- and somehow use those 'merits' to get into heaven..Ha! Sorry, it don't work that way.  We get to heaven from simple Grace from God-- from BELIEVING and accepting Jesus as our personal Savior!  There's a little more to it than that, but that is the simplified way to look at heaven.  If you want scriptural proof-- just contact me and I will gladly supply the proof from the Bible!  And many people LOVE me for who and what I am -- a very simple soldier of Christ, a poor, miserable sinner who knows that God's Word, the Bible is the only way to set the matter straight, the highest, last, final, 'Judge' of everything, every one, thought and deed.

I am pretty much at the end of my rope too, having tried all the gimmicks and wasting my hard earned money on fraudulent TV ads,  BS [berry sap] and lies of how to stay slim and lose weight.   I can post nice pix of me when I was a power lifter about 12 years ago.  But after you've had a number of accidents, broken bones and arthritis, you can't exercise and pump iron like you USED TO!  Good things God looks at your heart rather than what we look like... lol.    Not that living forever on earth is my goal, but quality of live appeals to me, and a fat man doesn't have that good  life, in my opinion.  Too much pressure on my feet, ankles, knees and heart... me thinks.  Better late than never, and I could serve the Lord better too, I bet.   That's just my opinion, friends.Check out:  Omega Juicers.  Email: omega@omegajuices.com   -- I have so many carrots on my kitchen table and the machine is all washed clean and ready to juice!  I am like a kid in a candy shop!

After breakfast, I MADE time to visit my dear old Mom, in Burlington, about 12 miles away, just West of my small town, and I huffed and puffed up to her 2nd story, by elevator- but much walking, to Mom's well- kept apartment for a couple hours to visit and chat.  Now you see, because of the good, warm treatment and out stretched hands of genuine love and compassion at Sharon's funeral at Union Grove Baptist church-- about 3 weeks ago,  my mother has a FAVORABLE attitude towards our church members!!  They went out of their way to make her feel wanted, cared for and comfortable.  They showed genuine interest in her and offered help and directions many times.    She enjoyed the pastor's 'fair well address' at the funeral at church and gave a great message of 'salvation through Christ' that was tailored for 'unbelievers' and relatives.  I would say that Pastor George Schlegel  did a GREAT job -- on that night of sorrows, and would not accept one penny, nor the organist !  That's my "home church" that I help support with my tithes, etc.
My Mom and I did a lot of talking  today about the 'good old days' compared to May of  2011, and the price of modern health care, doctors, etc.  We talked about my own  Chrysler retirement  'benefits'  compared to my siblings and their particular challenges-- but it boils down to: quality of life after you get older, security, aches/ pains and lack of motion, walking, etc.   Mom is in her mid- 80's and legally blind.  If you don't have a descent health care arraignment/ Insurance,  you are in bad shape-- and a difficult, expensive operation or accident can literally wipe out  all your life savings and investments $$$!   In my own case, I can only walk with 2 canes and not very quickly-- but I have a great power scooter!  Seems like surgery is more of a game of chance-- toss  your dice, and take your chances with the 'doctors' now days.  Hey-- there is always two sides of the story-- but what gets me is the LIES doctors, nurses, and staff give you BEFORE the operation!  My own results were/ are lacking and sorry, and I have already heard a TON of other Veterans telling me the same horror stories of ill treatment and results... even near death experiences -- although some walk away happy and satisfied!  And from now on when someone attacks my blog or character-- we will play MY game, and stick to the Bible for every argument.  Non-Believers can't handle that game and want to pull you away from God's Word, into their own phycho- babble,  un-godly higher education game.  Paul said: "The wisdom of the world is foolishness with God."  ~1st Cor. 3:19.  Unbelievers are frustrated because they don't have the Holy Spirit to understand the Bible-- so they toss it aside and try to drag you in the swamp of man's so-called 'books of wisdom' and big words of dung heap 'politically correct' baloney of no meaning, to disorient you!!  Be warned:  God can see your phony game of 'politically correct' games of  smoke and mirrors.  To that sort I apply Matthew 7:6.

I hope to see the family of the little 6 year old boy who got accidentally run over by a Christian school bus --tomorrow at church, and help/ encourage them if I can.  It's not about fixing blame-- it's about comforting and celebrating a saved life after the fact, and helping them re-adjust and get on with their life.  I heard the shoulder surgery went well, and the boy is doing OK... and the Mom calmed down a little.  Someone in the world has always got it worse than you.   I will pray for the family too, of course.  And yes, we do bring food over for the sick, stricken, poor, needy, injured people that come to our church-- we take care of our own.  My money/ tithes help facilitate those very things plus help our missionaries in all parts of the world, etc.  But what's more important?  A few good hot meals on wheels-- or real loving bible study with a new person so he/ she don't go to hell?? You see, the worldly unbelievers can't figure that out... duh.  They wrap themselves in the Mantle of  the Liberal Left mentality of a 'nanny state' and PERVERT the Word of God, which they can't understand.. and never will unless they humble themselves to discard their superior, prideful sense of 'higher learning' BS, and get right with the Lord-- but studying His Word!  And if they can't use the bible to make their point-- they will attack the messenger... me.  Hey!  Not to worry-- it comes with the territory.  They love to bully real Christians like an attorney does.  They can't stand to see any people who call themselves Christian without knit picking their past life/ sins and falls, making up their own lists of traditional, worldly mindsets of "what good people ought to be doing."  They won't get to heaven that way.

And now, here are some tips on how, when and why to drink healthful juices in your life!  Great Links to check out!!

Warm Regards,
Tom

You say that sipping juice is better than gulping it. How come?
Yegyan:

Yes, gulping any liquid will reduce absorption.  It will fill up the bladder and move through the elimination tract quickly.
Your body will have a rate of how fast it will use nutrients.  After exercise for example and after sleep there is a faster rate.
If you juice or use high nutrient liquids to drink, sip it. When you gulp it, you will see that you have to urinate more.  When you sip it, you don’t have to urinate as much.  It is interesting.

Terrible accident in my home town.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Friends and Readers,
This has got to be a huge tragedy, much more than my own probems that I cry and moan about too much....  it's even sadder, in my opinion, when a young person gets hurt or killed, cut off too soon.  I ask that your prayers be offered especially for the families involved, and even if the driver is completely innocent, he will probably suffer emotional distress big time.  Hey, we think disasters always strike the other guys, in other places.  Union Grove Baptist Church and Christian school have a good reputation for teaching the truth of the Bible and shaping young students to be  fine, moral, healthy, well educated citizens!   I have personally heard many students come in front of the congregation to sing praises or play their instruments flawlessly and with talent and feeling.  Parents from all around, many miles away elect to send their 'precious cargo'  to our Christian school, and for good reason!

On a better note, I finally got my Omega 8004/ 8006 Juicer assembled [with the help of my German cleaning lady- Sue], and I tried fresh apples and carrots... Wow!  I've got a good feeling inside me that it will work out just fine!  After drinking the raw juice right away along with all the vitamins, I felt very "full" with no desire to eat anything more, and that is exactly what I hoped for with my new juice diet!!  I am so happy today!
