When I was a young boy I attended grade school at Sacred Heart of Jesus- Catholic school, on Kinnickinic, St. Francis [Milwaukee] Wisconsin... which was right across the street from St. John's school for the Deaf.  

Unfortunately,  the ONLY thing that gets the perpetrator's attention IS the loss of money/ stiff punishment/ fines in court-- even the Catholic church that turns it's head away and buries the truth, when it comes to sexual abuse by it's priests, must learn this way-- as they have only transferred their guilty priests to other parishes, so they could do more mischief...[kind of like our present Gov't/ Administration does to it's Czars and henchmen, when they get caught... lol].  Other Faiths/ Protestants, etc., also have their sexual abuse problems, but me thinks NOT AS WIDE SPREAD as the Catholic church-- always managing to get itself in the news papers.  Hey, we are all sinners but those in leadership positions are held more accountable, as the Bible alludes to.  If they would by repent, cease and desist from practicing child abuse-- I am sure that the Lord would forgive...  

Most of my extended family are Catholics, so I want to tread softly so as not to 'wound them.'  I was emotionally upset after coming home from Vietnam [combat -PTSD], in 1970, and looking for the real Truth when the JW-Cult grabbed me for 22 years and messed up my home life, etc., but now I KNOW the Truth from the Bible, and am SAVED by the blood of Jesus Christ, still a sinner, however, learned to take accountability for my actions, and repent,  but I know that my Lord and Savior promises are as good as gold.  One good way that I can witness to all the readers is my own humble Blog:  TOM'S JOURNAL, and also by my humble Bible Tract, Inc. work, ministry of sorts-- see: WVCY Radio, 107.7 FM- Milwaukee, Mark Smith, for free tracts!

WAUWATOSA - Minnesota attorney Jeff Anderson is taking on the Vatican with his client, Terry Kohut.

Kohut, who now lives in Illinois, is the alleged victim named as John Doe on the lawsuit filing. He claims Pope Benedict, in a former role as a cardinal, knew about abuse at St. John's School for the Deaf in Milwaukee and did not thing to intervene.

"I am speaking for most of the survivors, for all of the survivors all over the world," Kohut told TODAY'S TMJ4 reporter Tom Murray through a sign language interpreter. "I told my sins to Father Murphy and he told me that I had to go to his office. So, I did go to his office and Father Murphy told me to take off my pants."

Anderson held a clergy abuse forum at a Wauwatosa hotel on Saturday.

"The Archdiocese of Milwaukee and the problems and the cover up in it is the worst of, as bad as any place in the entire country," Anderson said.

Anderson says he is also representing more than 100 people with clergy abuse claims against the Archdiocese of Milwaukee. Because of bankruptcy protections, there will soon be a time when courts will allow no more abuse lawsuits against the archdiocese. Archbishop Jerome Listecki emphasized that looming deadline when he announced the bankruptcy filing in January.

"We're talking about bankruptcy through the aspect of closure," Listecki said in an interview at the time.

TODAY'S TMJ4 asked Anderson if he is in Wisconsin seeking more clients to sue the Archdiocese of Milwaukee before the court closes the door.

"It's our legal and moral obligation to reach them and let them know that something more can be done," Anderson responded.

A deadline has not been set for filing lawsuits, but a federal judge is expected to determine that date soon.

I find it almost incredible how the Prez-- that tenant in the WH, sneaks around us and goes to the G-8 Summit in France to stab Israel in the back some more by trying to gain support from the other G-8 nations to force the 1967 borders upon Israel !!  That boy is really hell-bent on destroying not only our once great country, the USA, but also the only real Democracy in the Middle East!!   Does he think that he is so smart so as to deceive US back at home?  And Thank God for Canada, who saved Israel's back side at that same meeting!!  I would not be surprised if Canada prospers big time now... lol.  Hmmm, am I up to a long drive UP NORTH for an extended vacation?  I've been there before, after I got out of the Army-- what a wild ride back in 1971 for a few days.  They seem just like us, except that they seem to have better manners.

And the eerie words of Peter about the 'end times' 'scoffers of God's Word' mentioned below gave me chills up my spine too.  Good stuff!  It all serves as another great encouragement for me, and strengthens my Faith and resolve.  I was just thinking that just maybe GOD has a plan for me at the hospital in witnessing [again] to some of the staff while I am there!  Looks like I am be stocking up and packing more Bible Tracts in my bag, beside my copy of the Old Scofield KJV.   I'll be loaded for bear, mate.  Another thing is the news that Fiat might own Chrysler pretty soon, and who knows how that might shift our contract and benefits around.   Maybe it's a smart thing to have my knee fixed NOW when there is still good health coverage.  Shhh!  Don't tell anyone...   We ought to be prepared as the 'hard times' come rolling by-- don't want to be caught between a rock and a hard place.  PTL.. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for all our blessings, but especially the Spirit that allows we Christians to understand the Bible.

The following post is from my friend and Christian sister in FL, Carolyn Elkins.  She must do a lot of deep research because she is spot on all the time!  I love the finer points in her recent post, like:  the relationship/ ratio [of land mass, and  area] between all the Arab countries that surround Israel compared to Israel.  The land of the Jews is a mere postage stamp compared to the  great land masses of her violent neighbors, yet all the heathen nations have abandoned her and even curse Israel!  What a shame-- what a horrible danger the nations have put themselves in, according to Gen. 12:3.  We can pray for the People of Israel, although their future is sealed in the divine words of the Bible-- God's own Word.  We can also email/ phone our do-nothing Congress to do anything political that might help Israel...  but the 'die is cast already' and we know exactly what will/ must happen all the way into the new Mill ilium of Paradise on earth -- after God cleanses the earth of all wickedness.  We certainly want to be in heaven when that happens.. lol.  It won't be pretty.

As for me, another fine, sunny day in S.E. Wisconsin!  Per my Fast -- abstention from eating food, I know from before that it certainly changes my body and mind.  Remember, Fasting can be very dangerous IF you don't do your homework and research that subject BEFORE you attempt it.  Drinking lots of water is KEY to not damaging your kidneys, and you want to irrigate your organs to pass toxins.  Now my face is breaking out because the poisons are being flushed out, and I get dizzy and can't think straight sometimes... lol. I do take a few vitamins and minerals/ herbs.   You just need to slow down, rest and move nice and slow, with purpose and measure.    I will post something about Fasting soon to help folks know about it more-- But to protect myself from all liability, I have to say that one should never attempt this unless they talk to their doctor or health care professional FIRST!  [But in reality, I would bet that most doctors rarely know or care about fasting because they can't make any money from it.] 

I have tons of food at home, in the freezer, canned goods, etc., and I want to be 'balanced' -- and in this world balance is rare as we are buffeted from one extreme to the other-- too fat or too skinny with all the stupid Hollywood and Media hype--Baloney.  So, when in doubt--READ THE BOOK-- the Bible!  Having said that, I already FEEL the positive results of being able to walk a bit better, fit into some clothes better and fastening my truck seat belt better... Ha!  But both my knees are shot, and the VA did a very poor job with my Right knee, IMO!  They crippled me, thank you very much, and there is nothing I can do to them because they ARE the Gov't.  Hello, obama-care !!!  You people will have NO recourse when the Gov't botches up YOU-- in the future obama-care!  Think:  Russia and China!!  Yes!  I just pity the foolish, lazy, ignorant Americans who don't look to the real, proper news sources [and the Bible] who tell the real truth about the world and the lies the leadership tells us!  The Socialists already own us!  They have us so busy chasing our tails with the poor economy, barely making ends meet-- as they slip more Gov't rules and regs under the table--some that could regulate the very food that we can eat.  The ignorant masses always lose on earth-- but the Spirit -led class store up their treasures in Heaven!

Does God use the Weather?

I have 'modified' my understanding of the Bible's view of God sending harsh weather to punish people after reading a recent article.  God has used the Flood/ Deluge of Noah/s time to destroy human flesh on earth-- but we know that God will NOT use that method again.  The truth as I see it now is that Jesus refers to Satan [in the book of John] 4 times as the 'god of this system/ this world' and that nasty old devil loves to see human misery.  And other places too.   God does choose to effect His grand ultimate PURPOSE in protecting His Church on earth, so that means He does have a part in the weather patterns and such.   We must also remember GENESIS 12:3 and the curse that rebounds upon those who harm, steal from, or curse God's chosen people-- ISRAEL.   Let's say that our God of the Bible "allows" Satan to wreak some havoc in the 'End Days', as we are seeing right now-- as a prelude to what Bible prophecy predicts will happen in the Great Tribulation. 

I plan to add more scriptures to support my understanding of this subject in the near future.   But generally speaking, we are all suspect to natural things that go on on: earth, wind, rain and sun, tornadoes, earthquakes, etc., and REAL biblical Christians hurt, suffer, bleed and sorrow like every other human-- EXCEPT that we have that heavenly hope being SAVED by the blood sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!  Anyone reading my blog posts, knows what the bible teaches on that subject of Salvation, right?!

Good buddy and combat Vet, Bill Tippett is over at my humble house right now helping me out with a few things.  Bill is my very trusted friend that I rest my life on in case I die prematurely, on the surgeon's table, or otherwise, and am getting my Wills in order right now before the day of the knife.  I covet your prayers now and in the future recovery, and I would personally fall flat on my face if i didn't have the Lord, and the Holy Spirit to strengthen me!  

Even so, I well know that there are MILLIONS of other people in the world who have it much worse than I do, especially those with out the Lord and His divine Word, the Bible.  I pray that I can have a clear mind right now to take care of priority interests and preparations-- to get all my 'ducks in a row.'  Pray for my dear Mom, sisters Linda, Susan, Joe vander Mullen and his wife Doris, Steve Brulport and Robb Bohnen, some of my closer friends.
    I am on a modified Fast without food right now until I get on Rehab, after the knife-- got to lose weight and get all the toxins out of my big body.  You should ONLY attempt a Fast after you do all the research on it by reading the right books.  You MUST DRINK LOTS OF WATER to irrigate your kidneys-- or they will fail!  You must end your fast the correct way-- by eating small portions [I light to use greens, small salads, spinach, etc.] and never big hard core meals, like beef steak, etc, that could plug up your intestines and possibly kill you!   Best to look up and read all about this subject on your own, or see you health care specialist.  Use your computer!!  Use your brain... lol.

To separate the 'get rich quick schemes' from good old reliable common sense and even Bible Proverbs, means that we have to study somethings that may seem very dry and boring-- but are key for getting ahead, being prepared, being safe...  but God's Word trumps everything in the end/ final analysis.  

I had another horrible time at the Milwaukee VA again yesterday, mostly dealing with incompetent, myopic doctors and staff, but I am skilled and used to their mess ups, of forgetting or lying about my medications, and I am sure not the only Vet that has to deal with these people on a regular basis!  The bottom line:  Things are NOT getting better on obama's watch, for the disabled combat Veterans-- or anyone else, unless they are well connected with our Socialist Gov't.   I only got about half of what I wanted done yesterday, and will have to go back again to finish my work... changing my Will before the surgery, etc.  Like I always say:  'If you get 10 people to promise they will be there to help you at a certain time, maybe 2-3 will actually show up-- BECAUSE we don't have true commitments, honor, nor do we take responsibility for our actions now days.  That is especially true about "Believers!"  Sorry... folks.   Real serious corruption has infiltrated the 'Christian church' --  means that WE need to pay attention and compare what is being preached and taught in church-- compared to what the Bible actually says.    The deeper we get into the 'Last Days' of Satan's system of things, the worse things will get.  "The love of the greater number will wax [grow] cold."

I am sharing some good ideas, facts, and remedies that come my way, all the time.  And I just love watching my veggie garden grow and produce for me every year, but with knee surgery in 2 weeks, I doubt if I could take care of and water any garden this year, even though my nephew tilled my garden earlier.  I just want to say that MANY people, especially close relatives and pastors made fun of me for storing a few sacks of rice and beans in my house, and a few canned goods, but now from reading the article below-- maybe it wasn't such a dumb idea !  Ha!  I 

I read and do a lot of research before I make a move, buy, sell or do something... and usually I come out pretty good.  PTL-- Praise the Lord.  But please understand that my relationship with Jesus is the only redeeming factor in my life, and Salvation from Jesus' blood sacrifice.   Still, the Bible says we much work-- if we are to eat!  My Fast is going pretty good and I don't feel much discomfort-- but actually feel good!  I feel my stomach shrinking already!  PTL.

If you've been to the grocery store lately, then you know just how much food prices are skyrocketing. In fact, the money that got you four bags of groceries last year will get you only three bags this year. And now that gas prices are going up almost daily, food prices will shoot up even more.
But now there's another, far more ominous reason to home garden. There's a threat emerging that is so potentially catastrophic, it could literally mean the collapse of commercial agriculture.
The honeybees are disappearing. In the past few years, we've been hearing more and more about something called Colony Collapse Disorder - it's a fancy way of saying that the honeybees are dying, and we don't know why. But if the decline isn't reversed, the honeybee could well go the way of the dinosaur.

Some commercial beekeepers are losing as much as 90% of their bee population each season. Bees are essential to the pollination of over 90 different commercial crops.

If that happens, our industrial farming system will completely collapse.
Commercial farming depends on healthy honeybees. Bees pollinate over 90 different commercial crops. Without bees, we would not be able to enjoy things like grilled summer squash, crisp cold cucumbers, or sweet, delicious melon. Many people take good food like this for granted ... and now those foods are at grave risk.
Giant farm conglomerates rent bees from commercial beekeepers to pollinate their hives. The hives are trucked to one region, released from the hive to pollinate the crops, and are packed up again and taken to the next region. But since 2003, more and more often, farmers have been opening up their hives to find dead bees or, more often, bees that just don't return to the hive. That means there are fewer bees to do more work ... which stresses the bee population even more.
For a long time, despite numerous theories, nobody knew what the real cause was.
But now we know.
"Highly toxic" pesticide causing mass extermination of honeybees
Late last year, a brave whistleblower leaked a memo from secret files at the Environmental Protection Agency. That memo was a smoking gun. For years, the EPA has known the true cause of the honeybee extinctions. The culprit is a chemical pesticide, clothianidin. Here's what the EPA's own internal memo said:
"Clothianidin's major risk concern is to non-target insects (that is, honey bees). Clothianidin is a neonicotinoid insecticide that is both persistent and systemic. Acute toxicity studies to honey bees show that clothianidin is highly toxic on both a contact and an oral basis. ... Information from standard tests and field studies ... suggest the potential for and other beneficial insects."
This pesticide was approved by the EPA, despite warnings from some of its own best and brightest scientists. And today, it's used just as much as ever.
If clothianidin were outlawed tomorrow, could the damage be reversed? We don't know. But we do know this: if the honeybee population isn't restored to healthy levels - and quickly - our nation, not to mention the world, could lose over 90 different crop varieties, because they could no longer be pollinated on a large scale.

Look, you already know all the great reasons to grow your own food:

• You save hundreds of dollars a year on groceries
• The food you grow yourself with heirloom seeds is more nutrient dense than anything you can buy at the store
• Home-grown food is free of all the toxic pesticides and insecticides found on grocery store produce

Celery keeps you Cool.

I got the following info  below from a nice lady on an herbalist group on FB who did some homework for the rest of us, but especially for me, concerning celery-- and Blood Pressure.  Thank you!

I went to the Milwaukee VA Hosp. this morning asking for an slight increase in my blood pressure medicine because with all the pressure and stress these past 2 months I've been having head aches  [unusual for me] and some other scary issues-- and as it turned out, the RN taking my BP testing today claimed that it was "Normal" for me, about 137/ 73, so the "doctor" decided NOT to increase the med. based on that single BP test... lol, but I figured it would end that way, and even offered to bet $100, with the RN,  but no takers.  Ha!  I know how those docs and staff work so well that I can bet money and win!!  I really don't think they give a hoot about the patients at all... and so I will prob. be moving on after my surgery, if all goes well.  It's just that the VA is so predictable.  America!  This is just what you will get if 'obama-care' becomes a reality-- good old crappy Social Medicine, poor, rotten, rationed health care!  And croak the old folks by denying them descent health care, and rationing,  because they cost more to take care of in their old age-- even though THEY PAID INTO THE SYSTEM ALL THEIR LIVES WITH HARD WORK AND TAXES!!  Be warned.

The smart ones who read up on home cures, herbal remedies, moderate habits, and  nutrition will be the survivors, IMHO.   The people who have more knowledge, smarts, some resources like net working-- small groups  of like minded people will do better, I think.  I am not even going to use Proper names today-- because it isn't worth my time or energy-- I've got bigger fish to fry right now.  Let's just say that it was another major let down and waste of my gas traveling 35 miles to the Milwaukee VA to beg for some health care/ help.   I also began my Fast today.  Celery is GOOD for you!!

My dear old Mom and my 2 sisters came over to help and visit with me this afternoon.  They were so kind and gracious.  Sue came all the way from Tucson, AZ to visit the family up in the Great Northern Woods of Wisconsin.  So I got a few great hugs from some nice ladies today!  

I think that I am on target for getting most of my affairs in order-- preparing myself for the next big day in 2 weeks, and even though many of my friends tell me that I will be just fine, etc., I still get nervous. Ha- Ha!  I train my mind to accept the possible death or serious injury from surgery-- so if I live and survive, I consider it a big BONUS!  And as for help in and after Rehab, if a man makes 10 or more friends who say they will show up and help him-- reality is that maybe 2 or 3 will actually be there for him.   Ain't it the real Truth?  But why get bitter or depressed-- that's just the way the world is with Satan turning things upside down with his moral depravity, selfishness and greed, in these 'Last Days.'  Other people even in our small church group have major disease, cancer, injuries, sicknesses and accidents to deal with right now --as I bang on my key board... and I need to pray for them too.  

Got to change the locks on my doors tomorrow and take care of other business.  I also gave away a few Bible Tracts at the VA today.. and I get a thrill doing that fine work for the Lord.  
Well, anyway, I figured that if the VA 'doc' wouldn't help me-- I can always fall back on my collective herbal knowledge and that of my friends in that  FB group.  Thank you, friends.

consumption is due to more than one ingredient that most sufferers of high blood pressure are not aware of.

Phthalide (3-n-butylphtalide [3nb] ) is a compound which helps to give celery its unique aroma and taste.

It was discovered after Quang T. Le, a medical student and William J. Elliot a clinical pharmacologist at the University of Chicago did some research. Their action followed an incident where Quang`s father followed an old Chinese remedy noting the health benefit of celery in reducing high blood pressure.

After being diagnosed with the condition he ate a quarter pound of celery everyday and his blood pressure returned to normal, so being intrigued as to why it worked William and Quang investigated and found the responsible compound Phthalide which reduces the production of stress hormones called catecholamines.

Stress hormones are known to restrict blood vessels inhibiting blood flow. Phthalide blocks tyrosine hydroxylase enzyme action which is needed to produce stress hormones.
