Friends,
Finally some common sense rules to bar those who abuse our Food Stamp/ Welfare system, when we the people can least afford to supply druggies and Welfare Queens !!    I am all for this new rule.... actually the law was there all the time,  but Obama never wanted to enforce it !
Why,  I feel so much better already !    Smile.

Tom

TRUMP Is About To ELIMINATE These 2 GROUPS From FOOD STAMPS. Do You Support?

Professional welfare queens have been living off our dime for long enough but we have NEVER had a president with enough courage to put a stop to it… until now.

The Department of Agriculture has announced a series of new rules that will allow them to enforce laws enacted by Congress three years ago. The rules will block lottery winners and serious criminals from receiving food stamps. (via The Daily Caller)
In early 2014, Congress signed an updated Farm Bill into law to crack down on abuses of the Food Stamp program. The Bill prevents criminals convicted of murder, aggravated sexual abuse, sexual exploitation and abuse of children, and other similar state offenses from being rewarded with government handouts.
It also blocks parole violators and fleeing felons from receiving food stamps.

Successful gamblers will be blocked from receiving the benefits if they win $25,000 (before taxes) or more in a year. The winner’s entire household would be taken off food stamps until their income level returns to an eligible level.
The federal government provides funding for food stamps and the state determines who is eligible. The new rules will require states to develop automated computer programs to verify who is supposed to receive benefits, eliminating any chance of abuse.

The automated programs will also verify the immigration status and income level of food stamp recipients, which will destroy the ability for illegal aliens to continue it abuse our system with state support.

We are currently spending $45 billion per year on the food stamp program. I think we can agree there are far more people having a hoagie for breakfast or selling their stamps for drugs than those that are actually using them to put actual food on their tables.
It is not surprising that these rules were ignored for three years. Former President Obama proved his reluctance towards following the law of the land, considering himself above the law and the lawmakers in Congress and the Senate. Luckily, Donald Trump has committed himself to being the “law and order” president, and the rules are starting to be enforced again.
It is now harder than ever to be an illegal alien or criminal in America, which is as it should be. We cannot reward these criminal and anti-social behaviors.
I hope this is just the first step in a much needed scaling back of the food stamp program. No one who is capable of working should be getting freebies from We the People! Get off your butt and actually earn your money for once in your life!
President Trump has his work cut out for him, but I am confident he will finally get this entitlement abuse under control and end the decades of welfare abuse in this country

Hi  Friends,
I am 'fasting' for a while to clear my head and body...   I guess.  this is not the right way to lose weight,  I know,   but I am doing it non the less.   Who knows that I might just order a pizza from the lame country bumpkins up here.... lol.    Last time they dropped it and most of the goodies had shifted on one side.   I will try to be nicer on the phone this time,  maybe.   But they don't know how to listen on the phone.... !

The posted text/ message, here, today gave me pause,  as I did a self examination to check if I was putting all my Faith in God and the Bible.    The true, real, test, is dropping all your 'back up plans' --- from what I understand to just rely on God, only.    I am afraid that it may just come down to that scenario in the end.   Faced with a 'do or die,'  situation,  what would we do?
I remember that horrible time in Colorado,  and the Columbine high school slaughter,  where many people chose Christ -- to death, and so they died with honor and Faith.    I think that most folks would pick the side that they know and believe in,  but IMHO,  careful study of the Word -- THE KJV BIBLE, on a regular basis is key to sounding down all that true information into the heart and mind.
Yes, I have my own 'demons' to struggle with, being a combat, disabled Vietnam Veteran: 68-70, plus some inherent tendencies to contend with.    Ha!  We must take the bad with the good, and there are going to be some dreary days,  like today, that I just don't feel like putting on my shoes and driving to the town to get some hot food.
Now... I have studied fasting and Herbs for the past 40 years, so I know what I should do, plus I am retired.    Right now my mind is worried about getting my Tax papers together to take in for processing.    Remember:   "That the cream always rises to the top."   Meaning,  that the important things will / should come to the fore so that they will take presentence.
It's along drive to get a hot meal at my favorite place,  and then I have some personal business that I am worried about,  from some of the medicine I took....   that I cannot mention here, today.

Sometimes I read things over a second time to let it sink in better and see if I missed any important points.

Warm Regards,
Tom

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” - Romans 1:16-17
LIVING BY YOUR FAITH
Paul lived in a world that was similar to ours. His country was divided on political issues of their time. As the Roman empire expanded so did the people that took refuge in it. Other countries were attacking the Roman empire to disrupt and instill fear in the people. Different religious beliefs permeated the Roman world. Plus the preaching of Jesus and the cross was quite contrary to the religions man had created at the time.
Paul was not ashamed to be different. He did not mind not fitting in because he knew the power of God that could save anyone who would believe. Now that is living by faith.
What is living by faith?
Living by faith is believing the Word of God and acting upon it, regardless of how we feel, because God promises a good result.
Living by faith is an active confidence in God who has revealed Himself, not a vague uncertainty about an unknown someone. God has proven Himself real again and again, and if you’ve not yet experienced His reality, you can. Your faith comes alive as you believe the Word of God and act upon it.
Let’s say you ask God for guidance in prayer.
“Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)
You focus on living that out trusting and acknowledging God in “all your ways.” That’s faith. It’s your active confidence in God, the thing you hold onto while you wait to see how the Lord is going to answer your request.
Faith is also the evidence that God is faithful. We are not the first people to trust God.
“Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.” (Psalm 90:1).
Remember that God is the same God that delivered Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob and is the same God that did miracles in the lives of Moses, Ruth, David, Mary, John, Paul and Timothy.
You see, people have been trusting God for thousands of years. This is not a foolish thing to do. The faithfulness of God, not only in generations past, but also in our own life, provides you with evidence.
That’s the evidence of things not yet seen.
Faith is not believing in a vacuum; it’s belief based on the Bible. God inspired the Bible throughout the different chapters and it illustrates a living example of how He can work in our lives. Our faith isn’t in the stock market, the media and not even the news feed or comments on Facebook or Twitter, no matter how wise and well-meaning. Everyone and everything else fails or fades anyway.
“But the word of the LORD endures forever.” Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.” (1 Peter 1:25).
Genuine faith is always a part of your life. While we claim to believe all kinds of things, if they don’t influence the way we live, then we don’t really believe. We need to learn from Paul’s example and carry that kind of confident boldness into our world.
When you’re willing to put yourself at risk, your faith in God becomes active. Only when you know God’s grace is your only option, when you’ve cut off all back-up plans and thrown yourself entirely upon God’s mercy, only then is your faith the substance and evidence God’s Word says it will be.
Think of a situation you’re facing right now where you can put your faith into action by believing God’s Word and acting on it, not mapping out a back-up plan.
Just you, God, The Bible, prayer and your faith!

Combat Helicopter Warriors.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

To all fighting men and ladies in the USA,  Combat Veterans, et al.

To those who have not seen this. I think that it applies to Flight Engr (Crewchiefs and gunners as well.
Greyhound Two

A Tribute to the Army's first generation of Combat Helicopter Pilots...
(Yes, by God, we flew in Vietnam and we were winning when I left.)
By J.C. Pennington
As we get older and we experience the loss of old friends, we begin to realize that maybe we ten-foot tall, bullet-proof Army aviators won’t live forever.  We aren’t so bullet-proof anymore.  We ponder...if I we’re gone tomorrow, “Did I say
what I wanted to my Brothers?”  The answer is “No!”  Hence, the following random thoughts:
When people ask me if I miss flying, I always say something like, “Yes, I miss the flying because when you are flying, you are totally focused on the task at hand.  It’s like nothing else you will ever do (almost). ”But then I always say, “However, I miss the unit and the guys even more than I miss the flying.”
Why, you might ask?  They were a bunch of aggressive, wise ass, cocky, insulting, sarcastic bastards in smelly flight suits
who thought a funny thing to do was to fart and see if they could clear a room.  They drank too much, they chased women,
they flew when they shouldn’t, they laughed too loud and thought they owned the sky, the bar, and generally thought they
could do everything better than the next guy.  Nothing was funnier than trying to screw with a buddy and see how pissed off they would get.  They flew helicopters that leaked, that bled RPM, that broke, that couldn’t hover, that burned fuel too fast, that never had all the radios and instruments working, and with systems that were archaic next to today’s new generation aircraft.
But a little closer look might show that every guy in the room was sneaky smart and damned competent and brutally handsome in his own way!  They hated to lose or fail to accomplish the mission and seldom did.  They were the laziest guys on the planet until challenged and then they would do anything to win.  They would fly with rotor blades overlapped at night through the worst weather with only a little position light to hold on to, knowing their flight lead would get them on the ground safely.  They would fight in the air knowing the greatest risk and fear was that some NVA anti-aircraft gunner would wait 'til you flew past him and open up on your six o’ clock with tracers as big as softballs.  They would fly in harm’s way and act nonchalant as if to challenge the grim reaper.
When we flew to another base we proclaimed that were the best unit on the base as soon as we landed.  Often we were
not invited back.  When we went into an O’ Club, we owned the bar.  We were lucky to be the Best of the Best in the military. We knew it and so did others.  We found jobs, lost jobs, got married, got divorced, moved, went broke, got rich, broke some things,  and knew the only thing you could count -- really count on -- was if you needed help, a fellow Army Aviator would
have your back.
I miss the call signs, nicknames and the stories behind them.  I miss getting lit up in an O’ Club full of my buddies and
watching the incredible, unbelievable things that were happening.  I miss the crew chiefs saluting as you got to your ship for
a Zero-Dark:30 preflight.  I miss pulling an armful of pitch, nosing it over and climbing into a new dawn.  I miss going straight
up and straight down.  I miss the tension of wondering what today's 12 hours of combat flying would bring.  I miss the craps table in the corner of the O-Club and letting it ALL ride because money was meaningless.  I miss listening to BS stories while drinking and laughing until my eyes watered.  I miss three man lifts.  I miss naps on the platoon hootch porch with a room full
of aviators working up new tricks to torment the sleeper.  I miss rolling in hot and watching my rockets hit EXACTLY where I was aiming.  I miss the beauty and precision of a flight of slicks in formation, rock steady even in the face of tracers flying past you from a hot LZ.  I miss belches that could be heard in neighboring states.  I miss showing off for the grunts with high-speed, low level passes and abrupt cyclic climbs.  I even miss passengers in the back puking their guts up.
Finally, I miss hearing DEAD BUG!  Called out at the bar and seeing and hearing a room full of men hit the deck with drinks spilling and chairs being knocked over as they rolled in the beer and kicked their legs in the air—followed closely by a
Not Politically Correct Tap Dancing and Singing spectacle that couldn’t help but make you grin and order another round.
I am a lucky guy and have lived a great life!  One thing I know is that I was part of a special, really talented bunch of guys
doing something dangerous and doing it better than most.  Flying the most beautiful, ugly, noisy, solid helicopters ever built...
an aircraft that talked to you and warned you before she spanked you!  Supported by mechanics, crew chiefs and gunners committed to making sure we came home!  Being prepared to fly and fight and die for America.  Having a clear mission.
Having fun.
We box out bad memories from various missions most of the time, but never the hallowed memories of our fallen comrades. We are often amazed at how good war stories never let truth interfere and how they get better with age. We are lucky bastards to be able to walk into a reunion or a bar and have men we respect and love shout our names, our call signs, and know that
this is truly where we belong.
We are ARMY AVIATORS.  We are Few and we are Proud to have been the first combat helicopter pilots the world ever saw.
I am Privileged and Proud to call you Brothers. Clear Right !  Clear Left. Pullin' Pitch.

"Power in the name of Jesus."

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Hi  Friends,
'Ain't it da truth,' [sic]  that we all have HEARD the "Truth" before, and perhaps many times,  but when it is brought up again in polite conversation or in print,  it seems to hit us right between the eyes, and with great FORCE !
That just goes to prove that we all need and benefit from continued repetition and reminding,  plus careful study/ reading of the Bible.   And now after some 'constructive criticism,'  I know that I should capitalize that term,  "Bible,"  all the time.   A dear friend of mine admits that I am open minded,  among other things.   I have always said that I could learn from other people's mistakes and total failures...  even tragic  traffic accidents.    "A man has got to know his limitations"    ---And the limitations of his vehicle !   When/ If   I allow my emotions to get a hold on me [just as the bible warns, in the book of James],  I make the wrong decisions, and mess up, royally.    Or....  "I zigged,  when I should have zagged."    And paid thru the nose because of it.    Some folks pay with their lives, or the lives of others.    And if a Company or a Platoon leader/ commander makes a mistake,  his men get killed.    And as I have mentioned before,  over 1000 Officers were assassinated over in Vietnam by their own men --- because they were simply too stupid,  too proud,  made too many unsound moves, and the Army unit was simply safer and better off without them !   Try to kick out so many 90- day wonders, too young -- too inexperienced 2nd Lieutenants,  that land in-country, and most combat Veterans can tell you the results.   Too many KIA's and wounded,  "friendlies."    Better to swallow your pride and allow a seasoned, battle- proven NCO help you out,  sir.

But fast forward,  again, to today....  things are indeed moving at break neck speed,   when a person has his/ her 'biblical glasses' on,   so that the masses of people here in the USA are feeling different about their every day business and headings.    Ha!   It's sometimes funny and so predictable how our Stock Market, stops, sputters, pivots and changes on the least bit of new revelations, and happenings, world wide !    It would confuse the finest 'blood hound' dog.

I have high praise for my sister, Linda, who is over seeing the quality care of my Mom, who recently fractured her hip in a fall, and now in Rehab.   I well know all about that stuff !   Been there --- done that, too.   But not my hip,  just two knee replacements were traumatic enough for me --- the first in a VA hospital in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA,  and I will never go back to that facility.

I must send them a special card, etc., to help out.
I am trying to eat less, and so cannot seem to focus, correctly.   But maybe next week I will feast.

Warm Regards,
Tom  Schuckman

March 24th, 2017
Contrary to the predictions of many observers, Geert Wilders did not win the election for Prime Minister of the Netherlands last week.

His party, the Dutch Party for Freedom, had the momentum and many of the country's voters were fed up with the current liberal immigration policies. They are fearful of the chaos they see in Sweden, France, England, and Belgium descending on Holland.

Then, the President of Turkey gave the Prime Minister of the Netherlands a gift!

In the days before Holland's election, Recep Tayyip Erdogan (the Turkish politician who is trying desperately to overthrow the longtime secular government of Turkey and install in its place an Islamic Theocracy like Iran) "forced" the Dutch government into a showdown.

Turkey is holding a national referendum on its constitution in mid-April. The net effect will be to concentrate more power in Erdogan's hands so that he can accelerate the rush toward an Islamic Theocracy.

Turkish law allows Turks who are living in other nations to vote in national elections held in Turkey. Many countries do this. However, Erdogan was sending members of his government to other European nations to campaign among the Turks living there on behalf of his proposed changes to Turkey's constitution.

Well, in the days leading up to the national election in the Netherlands -- coincidentally, an election many analysts predicted the sitting liberal Prime Minister would lose -- Erdogan decided to send two very high-ranking members of the Turkish government to campaign in Holland.

The current Prime Minister, Mark Rutte, decided to get tough (though he had apparently not done it before). He refused to let the Turkish officials appear at the campaign rallies.

In fact, Rutte wrote an open letter to Turkish immigrants living in the Netherlands (and placed it as campaign ads in newspapers across Holland). Among other things, he told them: "Act normal or go away... go back to Turkey!"

Rutte's refusal to let Turkish government officials campaign in the Netherlands "infuriated" the Turkish President. He blasted Holland's Prime Minister. Erdogan ordered his ambassador to return to Ankara. He said that Holland was no longer Turkey's friend. He threatened to flood Europe with migrants. One of his senior officials implied this snub might cause a "holy war!"

The net effect was that, suddenly, Holland's formerly liberal, pro-European Union Prime Minister appeared to be Rambo, defending the traditional values of the Netherlands and protecting its native citizens.

Exit polls showed that, at the last moment, many Dutch voters decided that current Prime Minister Rutte wasn't so bad after all. And since he was standing up to the Islamic migrant invasion, maybe they shouldn't take a chance on electing Geert Wilders, the far-right, anti-Islamic nationalist with the wild shock of blond hair!

So Rutte won. But his party lost.

Apparently, Dutch voters felt that even though they didn't want Wilders as Prime Minister right now, he is on the right track and many of his concerns and solutions are relevant. So they gave 20 seats in the Parliament to the Dutch Party for Freedom. That makes it the second largest bloc in Parliament. (Up from one seat just two elections ago!)

On the other hand, though they returned Rutte to office, his formerly dominant party was only able to hold on to 33 seats in the Parliament, just barely keeping it as the largest party. That will force it to create a coalition with other parties to continue governing.

In other words, Dutch voters declared that even though they were not fully comfortable with Geert Wilders as Prime Minister, they definitely wanted him and his policies to play a major role in Holland's future decisions regarding Islamic immigration.

Wilders is just one element in the turmoil now convulsing the European Union. The United Kingdom recently decided to leave the EU ("Brexit"). Five other nations are seriously considering following suit.

Sweden is quickly descending into chaos as Muslim migrants gain an almost unmanageable hold on several Swedish towns and cities.

Many are predicting that the far-right nationalist candidate for president in France may well win the upcoming election. She, too, is opposed to the continued Islamic migrant invasion of Europe.

Some observers believe that the one-two punch of "Brexit" and the shocking election of Donald Trump as U.S. President, is fueling the unrest among European nations. Instead, I think those two developments have given hope to many Europeans who feel they are losing their national identities and sovereignty to faceless, unelected EU bureaucrats who are using the overwhelming Islamic migrant invasion to "fundamentally transform Europe" into a single superstate.

And they don't want that to happen.

So, if America and the UK can stand up to the globalist-elites, then maybe they can, too!

In the West, we are seeing a surge in "nationalism." It challenges the recent tsunami of "globalism" that has threatened to engulf our planet. It is oxymoronic that we are witnessing both -- a concurrent rise in "globalism" and its antithesis, "nationalism."

But, the Bible predicts that in the last days of this age, this is precisely what will happen. In fact, it will be the rise of these competing movements that will cause the re-shaping of the world alliances to enable the ascension of the Antichrist. It will also set the stage for the power blocs that confront each other during the Tribulation.

Folks, this is Bible prophecy unfolding before us.

Also on the show this week, I will be discussing the recent attempt by a United Nations commission to label Israel as an "apartheid" state. I know this is becoming old news, but something different happened this time. The UN Secretary-General rejected the report and forced the commission to withdraw it.

Some will say this is a miracle. Some will say it's a byproduct of the new administration in Washington. Whatever the reason, procedural or ideological, it's a good thing. For now. But it further emphasizes the constant attacks upon Israel as a nation and the Jews as a people.

Again, just as the Bible prophets predicted for these days.

Finally, when I wrote Satan is Alive and Well on Planet Earth back in 1972 (45 years ago), Satanism, witchcraft, and the occult were a dangerous novelty. Today, they are mainstream.

The Daily Mail of London reports: "The demand for exorcisms has skyrocketed across the country and priests are struggling to keep up with it." Even Pope Francis has urged Catholic priests to immediately call for exorcists when they encounter this increased Satanic activity.

I thought a priest in Indianapolis put his finger on the problem. Fr. Vincent Lampert said, "The problem isn't that the devil has upped his game, but more people are willing to play it."

Over the last few years we have witnessed an exponential increase in the exaltation of evil in our society. Our media is happily flooded with programs that focus on the Satanic and the occult -- often glorifying and glamorizing it. "Lucifer" even got his own show! Churches and pastors have failed to effectively highlight and counter the rising influence of this evil even in the lives of their congregants.

As a result, between false religions like Islam and humanism and "accepted" Satan-influenced societal practices like unrestricted abortion and ever-degenerating sexual lifestyles, we are almost overwhelmed by sheer evil.

What can we do? How can we respond? How can we survive?

There is only one way.

Call upon the name of Jesus.

There is more power in the name "Jesus" than in any other word ever uttered from the lips of God or man (Philippians 2:9-11). When we use His name in prayer, God, the Father, knows all that that name encompasses.

Not only does the name of Jesus bring salvation from our sins and the promise of eternal happiness, it provides the power to overcome the fiercest attacks of Satan.

This week, I will share with you how to effectively use the precious name of Jesus in your daily life to bring peace and victory into the troubled world around you.
