A cardiologist determined that heart attacks can be triggered by dehydration.

Good Thing To Know. From The Mayo Clinic. How many folks do you know who say they don't want to drink anything before going to bed because they'll have to get up during the night?

Heart Attack and Water - Drinking one glass of water before going to bed avoids stroke or heart attack.  Interesting.......

Something else I didn't know ... I asked my Doctor why people need to urinate so much at night time.

Answer from my Cardiac Doctor:  Gravity holds water in the lower part of your body when you are upright (legs swell). When you lie down and the lower body (legs and etc.) seeks level with the kidneys, it is then that the kidneys remove the water because it is easier. I knew you need your minimum water to help flush the toxins out of your body, but this was news to me.

Correct time to drink water... Very Important. From A Cardiac Specialist!

Drinking water at a certain time maximizes its effectiveness on the body:

2 glasses of water after waking up - helps activate internal organs

1 glass of water 30 minutes before a meal - helps digestion

1 glass of water before taking a bath - helps lower blood pressure

1 glass of water before going to bed - avoids stroke or heart attack

I can also add to this... My Physician told me that water at bed time will also help prevent night time leg cramps. Your leg muscles are seeking hydration when they cramp and wake you up with a Charlie Horse.

Mayo Clinic on Aspirin -Dr. Virend Somers is a Cardiologist from the Mayo Clinic who is the lead author of the report in the July 29, 2008 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.

Most heart attacks occur in the day, generally between 6 A.M. and noon. Having one during the night, When the heart should be most at rest, means that something unusual happened. Somers and his colleagues have been working for a decade to show that sleep apnea is to blame.

1. If you take an aspirin or a baby aspirin once a day, take it at night.

The Reason:  Aspirin has a 24-hour "half-life"; therefore, if most heart attacks happen in the wee hours of the morning, the Aspirin would be strongest in your system.

2. Aspirin lasts a really long time in your medicine chest; for years. (when it gets old, it smells like vinegar).

Why keep Aspirin by your bedside?

It's about Heart Attacks -There are other symptoms of a heart attack, besides the pain on the left arm. One must also be aware of an intense pain on the chin, as well as nausea and lots of sweating; however, these symptoms may also occur less frequently.

Note: There may be NO pain in the chest during a heart attack.

The majority of people (about 60%) who had a heart attack during their sleep did not wake up. However, if it occurs, the chest pain may wake you up from your deep sleep. If that happens, immediately dissolve two aspirins in your mouth and swallow them with a bit of water.

Afterwards: - Call 911. - Phone a neighbor or a family member who lives very close by. Say "heart attack!" - Say that you have taken 2 Aspirins. - Take a seat on a chair or sofa near the front door, and wait for their arrival and ........DO NOT LIE DOWN!

Hi  Friends and Readers:
        The reason that I and most other,  Bible smart Christians don't believe that there WILL BE a world wide/ global nuclear war and total annihilation, is because of what the KJV Bible teaches.   Period.   Now,  there might be a small, local, nuclear exchange, but the entire world will NOT end that way.  The term,  "Armageddon" is only mentions ONE TIME, at Revelation 16: 16, and that is the war between Almighty God in Heaven --- and the forces of Evil, including all the rebel Governments of Earth, and Satan the Devil, who has misled most of mankind since the beginning in the Garden of Eden.... see:  Genesis.    That was the big contention in the first place:   "The Right to Rule."    See:  the Book of Job.  
        Believe it or not [and I don't really care if you want to argue... but all real Bible scholars know...],  Mankind has only been living on Earth for about,  6000 years, and we are very close to that time called the, "Gentile Times Ending"  --- and soon the fight for Israel to stand up and defend herself.... being all alone, with no friends at all, except Father God, Himself !    The Rapture will have already happened.    But you can read all of this by yourself in the book of Revelation.   Hey!   It took me a few times of re-reading that book to finally let it all sink into my brain.  
     So, these times that we are living in right now,   are very INTERESTING TIMES !!
If I were YOU,  I would want to know about the past, present and future, and of course there is only ONE Book in the world that unlocks these so-called,  Mysteries.   
       Now,  the Video that I posted twice in the last 2 blog posts were interesting,  but NOTHING IN THE WORLD, can ever replace the Bible.... so you ought to embrace it and make friends with it, now !   Let me tell you that there were a few subjects in school that I just hated, and the teachers didn't know how to teach them, either !!   And when I finally got to college, one great instructor told us that sometimes a guy just has to read, and re-read the book as many times as it takes to get the sense of it !!   Well,  we have a great Helper when it comes to understanding the Bible --- the Holy Spirit !  Just pray to God and ASK Him to send the Holy Spirit, so we can understand and 'digest' the Bible text.   And then try, try, again.  And there are various books and Commentaries that also help, plus Bible Dictionaries, etc., and good, mature, older Christians and some pastors who can help us.  
       But isn't it strange that some folks can go to church and sit there for many years --- and not learn a thing ?  !   Reason?  It could be that they are going to the wrong church that is not teaching the pure KJV Bible, or the pastor doesn't do his job, or they might be plain stupid, or they sleep or day dream while they are in church !   And as I have said so many times:   "Attending some church no more makes one a Christian --- then standing in a repair garage makes one a mechanic, or an automobile !!"    And I have been to a few good Baptist churches that taught me a lot,  but other Baptist churches that never, ever taught the Bible, or the true Gospel of Jesus Christ !!   But if you know your Bible,  you can walk into a church and "tell for sure" if they are teaching the truth....  or not !  
     At some point in our future,  the "Church" [which is an Old English term for,  Congregation,  not some physical brick and mortar building..] won't be here on Earth anymore,  but will be Raptured UP, UP, and AWAY, to be with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, in a place called the New Heavens, prepared for US by Christ.  
      In the meantime.... NOW,  if you have ever read this humble Blog:   TOM'S JOURNAL,  you already KNOW what you should be doing, to the very BEST of YOUR ability !   I should not have to repeat it anymore.    However,   "Repetition is the Mother of Retention !"   
      I am heartily SORRY for all the pain, hurt, and tears that I have caused other people in my past life, so very sorry, and ask you all to forgive me, please.   I can say that I am trying to be a better man,  yet I still make stupid blunders or every size and shape,  but I press on.   Perhaps my sins and missteps are smaller and less frequent, these days.   And many might say,  that it's about time !   Ha!  


So,  if this so-called,  World War - 3 comes, realize that it will prob. be limited in scope and execution.   Russia doesn't want war, and neither does the USA !   I HAVE MY OWN IDEAS, but I choose to keep them to myself, at this point.

Hello  Friends and Readers,
     I want to thank my good friend,  Ruth Hammons, for sharing this piece with me !   Salute !








     There is a splendid point, and a learning moment in this article,  in that we can all learn a special lesson about the "Bullies, Dictators, and Strong Men," in the world,  that they are nothing new under the sun, and have always been here with us.   But even if the Good Man doesn't stand up to push off the attackers,  God still sees all these things, and He doesn't forget ! !    And that surely goes for the rest of us human beings, past, preset and future !  


Do the wicked or even Satan really get away with their evil works ?   Just read the 2 books of Ecclesiastes and Revelation, to figure that question out.     Rev., says that Satan, his demons, and all the wicked will eventually be pitched into the "Lake of Fire" that burns forever.   Well,  that is not what I would call a "party" or a happy ending !  
     So,  you might say that it's so hard to do the right thing, and you might even get hurt doing it.   But with the help of the Holy Spirit, people can and do change.   I have to ask forgiveness for my sins every night before I go to sleep,  but I feel that I am growing in the Grace of the Lord, more so, every day, and I am trying to do better.     And think, that those who didn't have the patience to put up with me, missed out on a good thing, as I am now happy and very generous, to a fault.    I feel that I  have many friends, am respected, loved and cherished by many.   I know that I must continue in my walk of life  --- but I also believe that something HUGE will happen in the near future -- that will change EVERYTHING IN THE WORLD !     Dear Friends,   Please take the time to watch and hear this great, interesting Video:

Just grow some patience like I had to, settle down, get comfortable for some 30 minutes and LEARN something great !   but keep things in prospective.... that the man is NOT setting some DATE in time,  but educating you ! !    Learn and study the good, important things in life, and I promise that  you will find enrichment, wisdom and faith.    Not to worry,  there is time enough for all of the other mundane things in life that robs our time, like TV,  radio, and Liberal stupidity !     Half of the so-called, 'News' are lies and B.S., anyway,  but the Bible is a place you will get the real truth that can and will "set you free" from the bondage of men's lies and evil.      So...  do yourself and your friends a favor by listening to the Video and then pass it on to your friends and email buddies,  please.

“The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the Church.” – Tertullian

Once again, the holiest week of the Christian calendar has begun with an attack on the Body of Christ in the form of two bomb blasts at Palm Sunday events in Egypt. One of the more striking images shows the blood of the martyrs splattered across the floor of a Coptic Church.

Currently, the death toll stands at 49, according to Egyptian state media reports. 18 people were killed in a blast in Alexandria, while at least 27 were killed and 78 injured in an explosion in a church in the northern city of Tanta.

ISIS has claimed responsibility for the attack, issuing a statement in Arabic in its wake, saying: “The Crusaders and their apostate followers must be aware that the bill between us and them is very large, and they will be paying it like a river of blood from their sons, if God is willing.”

These actions ought to fill all people of good will with sorrow and righteous anger for the souls taken from this world. The blood of the innocents has once again been spilled, and this injustice cries out to God.

This, like other attempts to attack Christians as they worship, is as quixotic as it is detestable; If there ever were a thought that could be described as being on the “wrong side of history,” it is the idea that somehow martyrdom will somehow weaken the Christian faith.

Of course, this isn’t happening in a vacuum. Christian persecution is on the rise on the global stage and now three quarters of the world’s population lives without the fundamental human freedom to believe, according to European Union Special Envoy Jan Figel in October on the International Day of Freedom of Religion or Belief.

"Therefore, those who believe that humanity should prevail can, and should do, much more for freedom of religion," Figel told Premier Christian Radio last year. "We are witnesses of a systematic and mass murder, martyrdom and persecution on several territories."

Even a casual observer of global headlines cannot deny that these new Egyptian martyrs are not alone.

However, regardless of what engine of persecution brings torment or what form it takes, we all suffer together when the dictates of the human conscience are trod underfoot.

What’s puzzling is what these oppressors plan to achieve with attacks like these. Their motivation has to be either rooted in arrogance or ignorance. Do the attackers believe that these attempts will prove more successful than the two thousand years of even worse persecution? Are these two IEDs more potent that the persecutions of Nero and Diocletian? Do they believe themselves more ferocious than the communists, fascists, and countless others that came before them in the 20th century alone?

Last year, when a similar blast in Pakistan carried out by similarly barbaric actors punctuated the news of Easter weekend, I referenced the masterful portrayal of Monsignor O’Flaherty in the 1983 film, “The Scarlet and the Black.” These words seem just as poignant now as they were then – perhaps even more.

When confronting SS officer Herbert Kappler in the dead of night in the ruins of the Roman Coliseum, O’Flaherty give the Nazi operative a quick history lesson:

Kappler: There will be a new order in Europe. We are evacuating Rome now, but that means nothing. We’ll be back. The Third Reich is the future.

O’Flaherty: How many murderous dictators have taught that kind of rubbish? Just look around you, Kappler. You’re standing where your ancient friends used to entertain themselves, watching lions tear the Christians to pieces. But the Church is still here. A lot of broken stones like these, in a few years that’s all that’ll be left of your ‘Third Reich.’

Time proved the good Monsignor right. Kappler’s murderous ideology and all those like him now sit smoldering on the ash heap of history; in time, the same will be true for the thugs who detonated those bombs in Egypt over the weekend.

The Church, however, will be just fine – just as She always has been.
