Facts and Laughs.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com]

Hello Friends,
I think that laughter is good for the human organism and so I want to share this stuff with you.   I also want to complain less and laugh more.

I am sure that many people in the world are very poor, and without any support at all, many would starve and freeze to death.   I can only thank one person in the Universe for saving me in many ways ---- and that person is Father God ---Yahweh, and His Son Jesus Christ.    Although the KJV Bible proves that the Father is whom he is,  a little Faith is still needed.   But reading special Books like Hebrews and Revelation are important to "flesh things out" and tamp down the logic and proof.   Praying and singing are part of our true worship of God.

Warm Regards,
Tom  Schuckman

Brain Chenicals, Memory and Essential Oils.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Dear Friends and Readers:
As I have said on this humble Blog so many times,  I have studied healing Herbs for more than 40 years and memorized most of them well.   Just sniffing them applied to a clean handkerchief can help a person stay alert and stimulated, IMHO.   My own Mother just passed away with Dementia and Alzheimers Disease although I knew her to be a smart lady and much beloved.  Her father also died partly because he also suffered from those diseases even though he was considered a "Near-Genius" and a wealthy gentleman living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.    My friends consider me to be well educated and smart,  yet I can surely feel my mind slipping, and will be age 70, Feb. 20th, 2019!   But I read often, every day, study and also write a Blog/ Journal.

I usually sprinkle a few drops of "Clove Oil" on my collar and sleeve of my clothing.   I just invested in 5 more other "Essential Oils" a week ago, like Lemon Grass, Rosemary, etc. to boost my memory.
There was a time when I was young, just back from the war in Vietnam, where I wanted to erase part of my memory to stop the horrific, nightly nightmares of combat and PTSD,  but nowadays I feel that I am controlling that past experience better--- but still not forgotten.   I also feel bad for my combat brothers who lost more than me, like amputees or their very lives.   What a waste, IMHO.   They died for Freedom sake, fighting Communists --- and now the stupid. ignorant Millenials, Democrats, and Socialists are actually pushing for the same goofy mentality!!   Shame and Stupidity!

Warm Regards,
Tommy Schuckman

This Little-Known Brain Chemical is the Reason Why Your Memory Is Losing Its Edge

January 17, 2019

It all started with minor slips you easily dismissed as "senior moments." You forgot your keys. You called someone by the wrong name. The word you were looking for was on the tip of your tongue, but you couldn't quite grasp it. You don't feel any older, but you do feel yourself changing. Researchers agree this could be a sign of something more serious.

A study published in the British Medical Journal of January 2012 has concluded that age-related cognitive decline begins much earlier than expected: by our mid-40s. Even more distressing, this decline can progress at very unpredictable rates. Scientists have identified that acetylcholine, a key neurotransmitter, is responsible for forming new connections and strengthening neural pathways in the brain. In other words, it keeps your mind sharp. However, persistently low levels of this key neurotransmitter places you at risk. Without healthy levels of acetylcholine, the brain can physically shrink; at which point, the damage can be very difficult to repair.

And yet, we all know people of advanced age who seem immune to this cognitive decline. These so-called superagers retain high mental acuity well into their later years. Scientists have determined that superagers minds' function with high levels of acetylcholine. Therefore, their minds have stronger and more numerous neural connections. This creates the ideal environment for a steel-trap memory. Unfortunately, for most of us, levels of acetylcholine decrease as we age and rapidly so after age 45.

But it's not just our age that is to blame. Like a muscle, your brain needs constant exercise to stay in shape. Modern society deprives us of essential mental exercise.

Before the written word became accessible and affordable, oral history was the only way to spread culture to younger generations. As a result, a strong memory was an essential part of everyday life. For example, ancient Greek poets would memorize and recite entire epic poems that were thousands of lines long. Because of the demands society placed on their brains, these individuals engaged in rigorous daily mental exercise. They did not have telephones, TVs, and computers distracting their attention and distorting the ways in which their brains processed information. This kind of singular focus required optimal levels of acetylcholine.

Neurons

Modern technology denies crucial exercise to certain areas of our brains in two important ways, causing it to atrophy over time. We are exposed to numerous sources of stimulation which constantly disrupt our production of acetylcholine. Likewise, we no longer need to remember phone numbers, addresses, dates, or even basic navigation because our phones have replaced our memories. Both of these factors train your mind to forget and place you at risk for earlier onset of cognitive decline.

In good news, new research says you don't need to throw away your smartphone, cancel your Netflix subscription, or quit your job to turn back the clock on age-related cognitive decline. A team of researchers in a GMP-certified laboratory in New York has identified 5 compounds that can naturally restore optimal levels of acetylcholine. They are Alpha GPC, Huperzine A, Bacopa Monnieri, Lion's Mane Mushroom, and Ginkgo Biloba. Better yet, clinically-backed by scientific research, these natural compounds do not contain exotic, unproven chemicals derived from marine life.

Over the last 18 months, this research team has combined these 5 safe and powerful natural compounds to boost levels of acetylcholine into one formula. It's called RediMind, and here's how it works.*

RediMind restores optimal levels of acetylcholine, protects you from age-related cognitive decline, and strengthens neural connections in the brain. The result? You can process and store information more easily and recall it much more quickly. RediMind gives you back the steel-trap memory of a confident mind.

To test the product's effectiveness, Princeton Consumer Research performed a placebo-controlled clinical trial in which the International Shopping List test was administered at different intervals at baseline, after 2 weeks, and after 30 days. The ISLT is a standardized short-term memory test consisting of a list of random grocery items which must be memorized and reproduced within a limited time frame.

While RediMind is not guaranteed to give you a photographic memory, the study boasts some impressive results. After 2 weeks, participants taking RediMind improved their memory score by over 45%. At the conclusion of the study, memory performance increased by over 51% and significantly outpaced placebo.†

RediMind is vegan, non-GMO, and gluten-free, and is made in a GMP-certified facility in New York to ensure the highest standards of safety. The entire RediMind compound fits into one pill with low-dosage, high-efficiency ingredients for maximum effectiveness. Taken daily, RediMind improves confidence in relying your memory, as over 85% of study participants experienced. And unlike a shot of espresso, it does not give you a temporary boost followed by an energy crash. RediMind does not contain any caffeine, making it safe for long-term daily use.

Helping an old Friend.

Tom's Journal. http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/ tschuckman@aol.com

Hello Friends,
It's always a huge encouragement for me to read Hal Lindsey comments and newsletter report.   I personally learn so much of the stuff that American "Left Wing News Media lie about."   Sorry to say the News Papers are a far cry from the ones I used to read as a younger man.   The KJV Bible speaks often about the "Last Days of this present system," and how things would turn upside down and mislead many if not most people in the USA.   Just look at how the Millennials think and vote nowadays!   AOC is 'poco-loco' and no one cares to rein her in.    Except for "Fox News" on TV I won't even watch other so-called News shows.   Sorry if I sound too negative.

A close, old, Soldier friend that I used to work with many years on the AMC/ Chrysler assembly line in Kenosha, Wisconsin, is now aged and sick,  and I would ask all my friends and readers to pray for him, please.   His name is Robb B. and he taught me so many good and powerful things years ago, especially about the Bible.   He served with the Green Berets and 3 tours in Vietnam but now he is forgetting too much, just as my own mother before she passed away a few months ago.  I will try to help him as much as I can.... may Father God help him.

How can I be so cold most of the time [unless I am sleeping with my Army blankets, etc] this Winter ??   Old age is a bummer, but we all work hard so we may retire in dignity someday...LOL.  I remember that many guys would have a picture of their idea of 'Paradise' near their work station, whether it was a small farm with cattle, a big fat luxury motorcycle, new Dodge truck with all the bells and whistles, or their own huge boat for fishing.  I was blessed enough to have some of those things before I retired and I am so thankful --- yet material things can never bring you happiness or total contentment.   I often repeat these words,  that "Happiness is a by-product of serving the one true God and His Son Jesus Christ our Savior."   What is 70-80 years of life on Earth and our latter days full of old age pain and misery, losing one's mind and being crippled?   Is that quality of life?   Learn the Bible early in life and there will also plenty of time to enjoy the rest of good things Our Father blesses us with.   Read the Proverbs first and learn from older people who are faithful in good habits.

Enjoy the Day.

Warm Regards,
Thomas G Schuckman

Hal Lindsey (mail@hallindsey.com)To:you Details

January 18th, 2019
As I noted last week, at the beginning of each year, it is my practice on "The Hal Lindsey Report" to review the previous year and highlight both major and minor events or developments that I believe have prophetic significance.

This week, I'll present the second and final part of "2018: The Prophetic Year in Review."

On May 14, 2018, Israel celebrated the 70th anniversary of its rebirth as a nation. On that day, the United States finally did what its Presidents had been promising to do for years. It officially moved its embassy from Tel Aviv to Israel's actual capital, Jerusalem.

Since then, several other nations have followed America's lead or plan to do so. President Trump said the move only acknowledged "the plain reality, that Israel's capital is Jerusalem."

But at the end of the year, President Trump announced another move. It, too, is one that may have definite prophetic significance.

He said the United States will withdraw its military forces from Syria. The primary goal of the US had been to destroy ISIS and the President feels that has been largely accomplished.

However, by withdrawing a US presence, it leaves Russia, Iran, and Turkey as the three controlling forces there. Ezekiel 38 predicts that these three powers will form a coalition and one day invade Israel from the north. Syria and Lebanon, which is controlled by Hezbollah which is controlled by Iran, sit on Israel's northern doorstep.

By propping up Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, Iran has prolonged that devastating civil war. More than half a million Syrians have died and more than eleven million have fled their homes. Five million have fled the country. Most of them ended up in Europe, which is on the verge of collapse from the weight of the migrant invasion.

In 2018, Israel had better relationships with several of the Arab Muslim nations than at any time in modern history. But as the year ended, that progress was placed in jeopardy by the murder of Washington Post columnist Jamal Khashoggi.

It appears he died at the hands of Saudi operatives. And they may have been acting on the orders of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman.

It may well be that the Crown Prince had this man murdered. It is consistent with his family's philosophy and history. And that is an abhorrent deed.

But from the beginning, the mainstream media has deceived the public about Jamal Khashoggi. Only at the end of his life did he write a few columns for The Washington Post. But the American media claimed him as one of their own. TIME magazine made him their "Person of the Year" and called him a "guardian of truth."

But they downplayed the uncomfortable fact that he had been a longtime friend and associate of Osama bin-Laden. He publicly blamed the 9/11 attacks on "Americans who neglected the suffering of Palestinians for half a century."

Like bin-Laden, he joined the Muslim Brotherhood as a young man. Throughout his career he was an apologist and advocate for the Brotherhood. And, like Israel and Egypt, Saudi Arabia considers the Muslim Brotherhood its enemy.

Canada Free Press called Khashoggi "a cynical and manipulative apologist for Islamic terrorism, not the mythical martyred dissident whose disappearance the media has spent the worst part of a week raving about... [he was] not a moderate."

Also, though he worked in the Middle East as a journalist, Khashoggi was not a supporter of a free press. According to Canada Free Press, he complained loudly that the Saudi government allowed "some journalists to report positively on Israel."

None of that means that he should have been murdered, but it's an important part of the story and it should have been reported.

And it's telling that the western press took at face value the word of Turkey's president Recep Tayyip Erdogan. He was the first to point the finger at the Saudi government. Erdogan is a known liar and despot. After an alleged failed coup, he jailed more than 180,000 Turks. He professes to champion a free press, but more than 170 journalists are being held in Turkish prisons, on Erdogan's orders.

Unfortunately, some national leaders in our world do despicable things all the time. Why is the American media so vehemently against Prince Mohammad, yet turns a blind eye to other global villains, like the Chinese communist government or the mullahs in Tehran? Perhaps it is because in April of 2018, the Prince became the first Saudi royal to publicly say, "The Israelis have the right to have their own land."

But Syria and Lebanon aren't the only places Iran is exerting a controlling influence. According to the United Nations, if the civil war in Yemen continues, that country faces the "worst famine in 100 years."

The media blames this disaster solely on Saudi Arabia. But the Saudis did not cause Yemen's civil war, Iran did, through their proxy, the Houthi rebels.

Iran wants to control Yemen because of its strategic location. It borders the Bab-el-Mandeb Strait between the Arabian Peninsula and the Horn of Africa. That connects the Gulf of Aden and the Red Sea. Five million barrels of oil pass through this narrow strait every day.

Iran itself sits beside the Strait of Hormuz at the mouth of the Persian Gulf, where even more oil passes to the world daily.

With at least partial control of both straits, Iran could disrupt much of the world's oil supply. That could destroy the economy of Saudi Arabia, its mortal enemy. It would send the west into a deep depression.

In other words, by fighting Iran's takeover of Yemen, the Saudis are protecting the world economy. But you would never know it if you only get your information from the western mainstream media.

In 2018, Hamas intensified its efforts in Gaza to provoke war with Israel. It convinced Gazans to participate in its "March of Return." Hamas assured the Gazans that the March would be the beginning of the "liberation of all of Palestine, from the Mediterranean Sea to the Jordan River." In other words, the beginning of Israel's annihilation.

So thousands of Palestinians crashed the Israeli border fence day after day. They burned thousands of tires, creating massive clouds of dangerous smoke. They threw Molotov cocktails at Israeli soldiers and planted explosives along the border fence.

They flew kites and balloons with incendiary devices into the skies over Israel, causing wildfires and burning thousands of acres of grassland in the process. They fired almost 400 missiles and crude rockets at civilian population centers in southern Israel.

Besieged Israeli soldiers, guarding the nation's border with Gaza, responded with remarkable restraint. Yet the media blamed Israel for everything.

Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement that put it succinctly: "The border fence between Israel and the Gaza Strip separates a sovereign state and a terrorist organization."

But the Israel Defence Forces weren't the only ones under attack in 2018. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced a series of storms, as well. He was accused of crimes. (Sound familiar?) His wife was accused of crimes. His governing coalition fell apart late in the year. It didn't crumble because the liberal Knesset members were displeased. It fell because the very conservative Netanyahu was not conservative, or aggressive, enough for some members of his coalition.

Now, Israel is facing new elections in April, 2019.

In October of 2018, a gunman entered the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Shouting anti-Semitic slurs, he began firing. He killed 11 and wounded seven. It was the deadliest attack on the Jewish community in US history. But it was only one of an increasing number of attacks against Jews worldwide.

In November, Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan tweeted a video of himself from a few years ago. In it, he laughingly scolded people for calling him an anti-Semite. He said, ...[when they] call me anti-Semite, stop it! I'm anti-termite!" The crowd roared with laughter.

To her credit, Chelsea Clinton publicly denounced him for it. She tweeted: "Comparing Jews to termites is anti-Semitic, wrong and dangerous. The responsive laughter makes my skin crawl."

However, the world's worst aggressor against Jews continued to be the United Nations. In 2018, the UN continued its unending onslaught of anti-Israel, anti-Semitic actions.

But perhaps a 2018 headline in The Jerusalem Post gave a glimpse into a future spiritual awakening among the Jews that is prophesied in Revelation 7. It read: "Study: One-fifth of Jewish millennials believe Jesus is the son of God."

Revelation 7:4 mentions the gathering of 144,000 Jews, during the Tribulation, who will go forth into the world and preach the Gospel. They will be from all the tribes of Israel.

Obviously, these revelations from 2018 are not a fulfillment of Romans 11, but it does indicate that there is a growing awareness among some Jews that there is more to the claims of Jesus Christ than they have been led to believe. And that may be a precursor to its fulfillment. It may be one of the most definite signs yet that we are getting extremely close to the end of this age.

As I said last week, it's past time to get ready to leave this world behind!
