Almost Ready for Sharon to Move to Rehab.
http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/
tschuckman@aol.com
Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now (Gordon Tribute)
I made a list but only got some of it done today, as usual, and lost track of time. I came in after noon-ish to see Sharon and brightened up her day. She writes things down on paper now to communicate with me for a better understanding. She told me the name of the Rehab place she will be transferring to when it's time. I brought her a bag of navel oranges and other treats, and bought her a CD/ radio with batteries for a pleasant diversion, but she says she loves to read the bible too. I brought her a half ton of mail/ letters that she can shift thru in her leisure.
This is NOT criticism, but the physical therapy people came about an hour into our visit and kind of insisted that she go get her walking done to strengthen her legs, etc., and I know that is important, so I left at that point.
I just thought of something I forgot to give my wife today!! See! I should have looked at my list before I got out of the truck.
You know-- actually, I get a good feeling when I visit Sharon too! I get to kiss her and rub her shoulder, etc., and see her progress. This reminds me of Proverbs 27: 17, "Iron sharpens Iron, So one man sharpens another." We just finish studying that chapter at the church bible study last Sunday. What it means is that 2 people of the 'right godly mindset, who read and study the scriptures to be a better warrior for Christ-- will "sharpen" each other as they talk, visit, work together for one common goal. Those are the real true brothers and sisters who take Christ centered life SERIOUSLY as they help and sharpen one another in the Faith. I am afraid that those kinds of brothers and sisters are RARE now days. I kind of found that out the hard way these past 3 months... lol. Better sooner than latter when my life hangs in the balance. I would rather have one of "those soldiers" in my fox hole fighting for my life!
The social worker just called me to tell me that the original plan or Lakeview, near Waterford, can't take my wife, because they down have a bed for her....Ha! So know 3 other Rehab places in Milwaukee are evaluating Sharon to see if they can squeeze her in-- but we think it will be the one in West Allis [but the way they change their minds-- don't bet the next month's mortgage on it...lol]. MILWAUKEE is about 35 miles away with gridlock and crime!! Seems like the Army did a lot of 'hurry up and wait' too...lol. Woo Woo! So you see, you can NEVER depend on anyone to meet your needs and do what they are supposed to. In Sharon's case, they need to wean her from her ventilator. I believe that most of the needles and hook up are out of my wife's body, arms, neck, etc., and she is able to walk to the bathroom now with assistance of a nurse/ helper.
An email friend, Debbie, told me to beware of 'Murphy's Law.' And... it ain't over 'till it's over. I am not going to complain too much because I am still high for the great healing and blessings that have rolled our way in the past few days of Sharon's recovery. Praise the Lord! The Social worker said that she missed me and was looking to talk to me today-- but we missed each other, and she has been very helpful to us, her name is Sue-- nice lady. Seems like she knows what buttons to push to get things accomplished, and I appreciate that! They were actually looking to transport Sharon today or tomorrow! At least she called me a few minutes ago and meant well. Things will work out. And now I need to look for some inspirational bible CD's for my wife to listen to and relax. We are praising the Lord for ALL our blessings, and we both look forward to seeing each other every day!
They weigh Sharon all the time, and she lost 49 pounds in these past few weeks in the hospital !!! Wow! I figure I only lost about 20-30 from doing more around the house and getting in and out of the truck, unloading my power scooter, etc. But we both did it the hard way with too much stress.
Time for me to take care of a few chores and then watch the goofy "news" on TV. Check out Fox News at 4PM., or the BBC, who are not on the Liberal Left's payroll.

'The Sharon Chronicles'

Hopelessly Devoted to you - Olivia Newton John
'The Sharon Chronicles'
When I came to see my wife in CCU again today, she was eating mashed potatoes, gravy and beef, with carrots, etc, but her stomach is shriveled up after these past 3 weeks, and some of her muscles need physical therapy. Her hands were FREE, with good dexterity able to write very well! She still can't speak right, but with her quick writing we can now communicate better! She looks better, and the nurses were very kind to me, giving me the daily report of how they had Sharon walking a complete circle around the nurses island, etc. Seems like she is healing good and in good spirits. We took care of some legal papers finally, and I brought her one of my big books on American Poetry.
I was surprised to only find [and grab] the last NASB [New American Standard Bible] Bible at Barnes and Noble in Racine, WI, this morning! Many experts consider it one of the most accurate renditions while still being easier to digest and understand. It's not that the Bible is hard to understand -- but not many Americans have enough READING SKILLS higher than the 4th and 5th Grade!!! Look what the Liberal Dims have done to our "education system" in America ! Sad... It's the Life Application Study Bible, big and bulky, but it should serve me well as another great study/ reference book in my library at home. We have many books on all subjects. I wonder if they make a book bag that big? But my wife is so talented that she could sew a nifty book bag.
Now she wants all her rings and watch, jewelry back that I was holding for her, and I will get a radio for her to listen to Christian radio, WVCY, 107.7 FM too. She accepted some of my bananas and said she wanted some fresh oranges which I will bring tomorrow. Life is Good again, for us!
For some-- after the crises is over-- they dump God and give ALL the credit and praise to the medical people, but we won't dare do that foolish thing. She wrote down in the Composition book I got her that, 'she was praying hard all along these past few weeks!' She was very close to death a few times, IMHO. After I came to the realization that it was all in God's hands no matter what-- I made some peace with myself that she would either go to heaven after death-- or live to be my companion for a few more years until the Lord comes back with the Rapture. I am sure that there are many oinks who sneer, smirk and laugh at we Christians who put our Faith and Trust in an invisible God that we cannot 'see.' And yes, there IS an element of true FAITH involved! I would think there is also 'faith' involved with other pagan religions, but our Gov't seems to favor them above us now days... lol. Think about Noah and the Ark, etc.
I don't have any more chest pains now and I am more relaxed, thankful, instead of bitter, on edge, hateful, impatient, and figure that I have again learned some powerful lessons. Just think: with this new found [although unwanted] experience, I can help and mentor others who fall into this kind of gut-wrenching anguish and sorrow. Like I said before, 'we don't have much control over what happens to us-- but it's how we DEAL with the situation.' I didn't take the stress and handle the "unknown" hidden stuff I didn't understand with Sharon's hard core surgery and slow recovery, life and death, stressful battle that I could not fight for her! I was bitter for the lack of recognition and failure to help, support or even CARE about a fellow Christian sister in dire straits--talking about the church we just left in Kenosha, but that was another important lesson I learned about me trusting humans to do the right thing, comfort zones, and the too busy attitude. Smart fellow believers already know that so-called 'churches' and congregations in the USA and world will/ are melting down and dissolving quickly in the 'end times' having a form of godly devotion, but proving false to it's power... 2 Tim. 3. Now is when the angels are separating the men from the boys, the real from the plastic, fakers, false brothers. Ask me if I will again trust some others now that they dropped the ball, big time?? Yes, I have to forgive them-- but I cannot trust them. I am not that stupid... lol.
OK, I don't want to dwell on the past now-- just set things straight and then MOVE ON! Still much work to do, and my appetite is coming back finally.
I have to pay off my CPA, mail bills and clean the house as much as I can today. Now that Sharon can write, she is telling me where she hid all the stuff at home so I can clean better. Forgot to get vacuum cleaner bags again today!
How many of my friends and readers keep a written list of things to do for the week?? I am dead now days with out my list. The first thing to go is the mind, right...? lol.

Easter Sunday -- 4-12-09.
http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/
tschuckman@aol.com
What a great Sunday church meeting-- actually 2, the early bible study and then the main worship service in the Sanctuary, [tandem]. We have 2 of each because the RBC is so big [and I hope and pray that they never split off to build another church, because I love them ALL!
I told Sharon, as I always do, share and report my excursions and adventures every day to bring some light and brightness into her boring world of "house/ hospital arrest"..lol, about all the people who showed up at church, an up coming marriage, all the fresh goodies and hot coffee that they brought, the many prayers, comments, what we studied.. Proverbs 28 today. And the last prayer that pastor/ leader, Wayne Bielgaard, said, including the phase that, "This may be our LAST Easter..." and all the hugs even the guys give each other, who seem so dedicated and well anchored to Jesus Christ, above all! Sharon re-lives all of these things thru my colorful words and renditions.
Sharon seems to be getting better day by day, making progress and gaining some independence. She will have speech therapy soon in maybe a week. I bet neither of us didn't plan or realize just how long the healing/ recovery process would be-- but then the hospital staff and doctors would NEVER tell us that in the beginning for fear that the patient might think he/she may be better off just giving up and dying. But every day of progress, however slight, is good. I caught myself starting to say something negative but jerked my mouth out of gear and told her something else that was up building and positive. Sharon's days and night are boring and gloomy enough, with hardly any other fellowship, conversation or speech, visiting, so she doesn't need more of that trash. And some folks actually NEED to be screened out.... long story. She says that she hardly ever watches TV-- that's trash too, according to her [YOU GO --GIRL!!], no cable TV.
I told her that I was planning to buy her a new Laptop PC after she gets situated in rehab. She is the one in the family who is more PC savvy, mechanical, legal eagle, able to put things together, than me, and I don't mind that at all. I taught her carpentry with power tools, and she even wanted to learn welding and cutting! She has helped me make outdoor furniture, woodworking, gardening and other technical stuff, and I love and respect her for that. We have much in common and my attorney even mentioned that he thought she was a 'fine catch' wanting to do all the things that I do! Tomahawks are too heavy for her, but she has learned to throw knives at the back yard target pretty well. She is a great sewing expert and sews almost all her clothes! The food she makes is something to kill for.. lol, and I love to spoil her with every new modern appliance she asks for. We have some other target hobbies and skills that I might tell you about someday... maybe, but it may not be "politically correct"-- but I bet she would make a good mountain woman if she was younger and less dysfunctional.
Now days we are content to live from my pension and other means, and getting closer to the Lord right now trumps all other things. Priorities are key. Go figure: would you paint your house if you knew it would be torn down in a week?? We are trying to trim down and shed every kind of entanglements and weighty fleshly thing that the human eyes desire... and instead look and work toward spiritual things of Christ and Heaven. I expect that 98% of the world will think we are loony and crazed, but that's OK. Since when did my happiness or welfare depend on what other 'worldly people' think of me ??? Since when did they actually give a hoot, enough to call, email or visit-- except the true friends we have now??? God and His Christian church are just about all we need to be happy and content. He is our Father. Jesus is our Saviour.
Tomorrow is another day. Praise the Lord. 'Lord, correct us in your loving kindness and not in your anger..' Just like a soldier in training for combat-- we want to learn how to be razor sharp ready for any action, and able to follow the Lord's commands now, and not after the battle begins! Never let us be caught sleeping on guard [Marines would call it, 'Gun Watch'] or sidetracked by the devil or showy, glittery trash of the world, which will end shortly as prophesied in the bible.
Draw nigh to the Lord and He will draw nigh [near] to you.
Warm Regards,

Happy Saturday with my wife.
http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/
tschuckman@aol.com
Sharon was in MUCH BETTER SHAPE AND HUMOR today at the hospital, still in CCU, but the respiration tube is out of her mouth and lungs, which is a big improvement. She is always happy to see me and loves to hold my hand.
The staff had to insert an "inflated cuff" to her tracheotomy thing to assist her in breathing for a few days, so she can only "mouth" the words, and I can't read lips that well. They took her off the 'drip sedation' meds so she is very alert today and showing signs of strength and recovery. They will send her shortly to a different Rehab area closer to me for a couple months and probably won't be able to help me plant our annual Victory organic garden, so maybe I will get some helps from a few trusted friends who are already volunteering. I have an 'inner core' of true blue Veterans/ fundamentalists who are loyal to me-- to the death, and visa versa. The 'eagles' are circling to help the neighbor in need. Years ago and even now, we had a tight system where we would rather 'trade services' rather than hand over filthy lucre. 'I will give you 2 bushels of potatoes for one bushel of carrots, etc, or paint your house for some quality welding, old Tom.' Stuff like that. I suppose that might be against Mr. Obama new laws pretty soon--- Big Brother in the WH... lol.
Well, I am resting a bit more now that is seems my dear wife will be OK, even with the long row to hoe. I have learned some powerful lessons, and even as some heartless pigs have sought to hit me in the guts when I was already hurting bad enough aleady with worry and depression with my wife-- but then such cowards lay in wait for some person to be injured so they can stand over him and gloat. When will these FOOLS learn that you NEVER kick a Veteran when he's down.. unless you know for sure that he's dead ??! Mess with a bull and you'll get the horn. Praise the Lord that I am a believer-- lest my sword or bayonet be red! I will have to let the Lord take care of them... and hell is forever! Forty years ago I would have driven a 1000 miles to visit a plague upon my enemies, but not now. I have pretty much cut them completely out of MY/ OUR future, at least for the next 50 years...lol. When I just mentioned some of the heartless escapades and accusations against me to Sharon this morning, she opened her mouth 10 inches open and gasped. Sorry folks, my Lady is 100% loyal to me and will take MY side against all odds and all people. That's kind of nice to know-- rain or shine.
I was cracking open my bible today at her room, telling her what and how we studied last Sunday at Racine Bible Church in our small bible study class with Wayne B. leading the study, in book of Proverbs 26 talking about the "fool." Actually the bible meaning of 'fool' is: 'someone who says there is no God.' So... Never call a 'brother or sister' fool! Actually that was punishable in ancient Israel, but I would not want to have God judge me latter, in the future for saying that word toward a brother in the faith. But now-- the world is FULL OF FOOLS, and I personally believe that there are quite a few in high office... lol, Congress and else where....
I better stop now, before they cart me off to jail for saying "un-American' things...Ha! Ha! !@#$%^& [smile--joke]. This is my personal opinion.
Here are my my personal predictions for the next two years of sooner. Christianity, the Bible and Christians will be attacked, persecuted in the USA, and donations to churches and charities will not be allowed for tax write offs. There will be many assaults on our 1st and 2 nd Amendment right these next TWO years, or less. The economy may show a little 'sign' of recovery, but in reality there will artificial shortages to purposely agitate the people and stir them up towards revolt so Obama can jump in and intervene and use "Executive Privilege" to sneak his personal "One World- One Gov't} agenda thru while the Congress is on vacation. The gov't is actually 'LOOKING FOR A TRAGEDY TO THEY CAN TAKE OVER AND BAN ALL OUR RIGHT AND LIBERTIES!! I will make plenty of enemies now by also saying that there is NOTHING MAN, GOV'T OR NATION CAN DO TO STOP THIS FROM HAPPENING. Why? Because the Bible tells us that THIS is the way God will "allow" things to happen-- to fulfill bible prophecy. And at the precise time/ minute Jesus will come back to set things aright... and then EVERYONE ON EARTH WILL BECOME "believers" but only His numbered sheep will have His 'mercy, protection, and kindness.'
Happy Easter --- Happy Resurrection Day!

Update for Sharon L. Schuckman-- Saturday.

From a Marine buddy, Kurt. Thank you, Kurt, from WI.
My wife, Sharon's surgery yesterday was another success-- a Tracheotomy-- to help her breath better, speak and eat solid food with her mouth. Praise the Lord! The Lady Doctor/ surgeon, talked to me after the brief surgery to say that everything went well, she has no pain complaints and all vital signs were normal and was resting well. The doctors and staff in CCU are planning to transfer my dear wife to a rehab facility closer to home in the near future. The CCU staff/ nurse called me early this morning as I was still in bed, to tell me that Sharon requested that I bring her cell phone and some deodorant when I visit her today in a few hours. I certainly believe this is a good sign!
Thank everyone for their continued well wishes and prayers, especially on Good Friday when the surgery was performed at Kenosha Memorial Hospital near lake Michigan, Kenosha, WI.

Subject: Mexico is Angry ~
WOW!!! YOU GOTTA READ THIS!!!
Unbelievable!!! The shoe is on the other foot and the Mexicans from
Sonora don't like it.. Can you believe the nerve of these people? It's
almost funny.
State of Sonora, Mexico is angry at the Flood of Mexicans returning to Mexico..
Nine state legislators from the Mexican state of Sonora traveled to
Tucson to complain about Arizona 's new employer crackdown on illegals from Mexico.
It seems that many Mexican illegals are now returning to their
hometowns and the officials in the Sonora state government are ticked
off about it. A delegation of nine state legislators from Sonora was
in Tucson on Tuesday to say Arizona 's new employer sanctions law will
have a devastating effect on the Mexican state.
At a news conference, the legislators said Sonora, (Arizona 's southern neighbor, made
up of mostly small towns,) cannot handle the demand for housing, jobs
and schools it will face as Mexican workers return to their hometowns
without jobs or money.
The Arizona law, which took effect Jan.1, punishes employers who
knowingly hire individuals who don't have valid legal documents to
work in the United States. Penalties include suspension of, or loss
of, their business license. The Mexican legislators are angry because
their own citizens are returning to their hometowns, placing a burden
on their state government.
'How can they pass a law like this?' asked Mexican Rep. Leticia
Amparano-Gamez, who represents Nogales.
'There is not one person living in Sonora who does not have a friend
or relative working in Arizona,' she said, speaking only in Spanish.
'Mexico is not prepared for the tremendous problems it will face as
more and more Mexicans (working in Arizona and sending money to their
families) return to hometowns in Sonora without jobs,' she said. 'We
are one family, socially and economically,' she said of the people of
Sonora and Arizona.
Wrong!
The United States is a sovereign nation, not a subsidiary of Mexico,
and its taxpayers are not responsible for the welfare of Mexico's
citizens. It's time for the Mexican government, and its citizens, to
stop parasitically feeding off of the United States and to start
taking care of its/their own needs.
Too bad all the US states don't pass a law just like Arizona's.
Maybe that's the answer, since our own Congress will not do anything!
NOW...Check this:

Sharon's Partial Report-- 4-9-09.
http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/
tschuckman@aol.com
More surgery for my poor wife tomorrow, again. Sorry that I cannot release much more info because I have a tendency to release TMI [too much personal information] to the public which unfortunately somehow leaks it to unwanted sources in certain orgs I wish not to mention at this time. Some authors and writers claim that gut wrenching trauma stimulate the mind and make it fertile for interesting writing, but I didn't want things to be this way. My attorney told me that I could write most anything now days if it's my honest opinion. Hey-- example: look at the text books our kids have to study in school.. lol!
I have already posted personal updates and foot notes to people I think I can trust. Please don't take this the wrong way or be offended-- because their have been some who have used my information to hurt me and make things worse for us-- lowly as it sounds, but some devils get their kicks out of kicking a man or woman when they are down, fallen, sick or injured. God will reward them according to their actions. And I must learn to trust the Lord more, but somehow I feel that I must 'micro-manage' and protect my spouse from all harm. I went to the 'Old School.' New developments seem to point for the worst, and my wife is suffering more, it seems, every day.
Enough before I get into trouble again, and I certainly don't want the old cong. forwarding any 'news' to the sharks who seek to hurt us again. I am copying down info ever day now to make a record, perhaps for future litigation, if there is any thing suspect.
There is a mole close to the 'medical establishment', and I will feel any heat if that entity forwards this info, and then I will know for sure who that person is, although I have a good hunch already.
Sorry again for all the innuendos and mystery baloney. I may see some light perhaps in a day or two after the dust settles. The devil is having a field day with me lately-- but I am fighting him off as best I can. I am going to get some reinforcements next week and tomorrow, witnesses and support. Your prayers are welcome.
Happy Resurrection Day --- Sunday!
Tom
