The reason I posted the article below is because it's so handy and fashionable to play the "race card" when all else fails these days. I have had that experience personally many times, and some so-called 'minority' people use it as a club to hold power over others who are JUST TELLING THE TRUTH! That is one reason I am so fond of the scripture at Galatians 4: 16..... "Have I then become your enemy by telling you the truth?" NASB.

"Bin ich denn damit euer Frind geworden, dass ich euch die Wahrheit vorhale?" [German translation].

Don't we Americans grow weary and feel controlled when minorities lie about us and input 'racism' toward us --- lying just to get their own selfish way?? In fact, I personally know that many people of color honestly think that the term "racist" ONLY APPLIES TO CAUCASIAN folks... LOL!! Talk about misusing and twisting the term, 'Politically incorrect' -- and the wonderful illegal aliens who sneak in from our Southern border use the same baloney on good Americans who love and protect the U.S. Constitution. Hey! My own people came to America too-- but thru the FRONT DOOR-- LEGALLY! And we all learned English and loved our country, many joining the Army to fight and serve. That was about 4 generations ago. We played by the rules and now we are paying for lazy, arrogant, illegal, law breaking, blood suckers who actually HATE our country-- but claim we owe them all the benefits! They get a free lunch while the rest of us support them. Sorry-- that is the truth too... and I will not be called a 'racist' and abused anymore for telling the truth! When you call somebody out for being an abusive butt head and they just happened to be 'White' -- it's OK. But when you call a 'minority' the same name and try to correct him/ her-- you are a "RACIST !" They love to threaten you with legal punishment or loss of a job if you don't play their game-- but plying the 'race card' is being understood now days for what it really is: Baloney! [hey, that's the mildest word I could muster...lol].

For the record, ALL and ANY person who has accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his/ her personal Savior, and tries to apply the Bible to his daily life IS MY BROTHER and FRIEND ! I have never had a problem with that! They are the 'Salt of the Earth' and headed for Heaven. And that is another reason America has been so great and BLESSED by God Almighty! [past tense]. You got to wonder in amazement that Holy Scripture says that Peter had that divine dream to ACCEPT the Gentiles in to the fold of true Christianity. Period. That's not so hard to understand, is it?

Well, another busy day as I gave my truck a much needed bath today, delivered more oranges and the cell phone power charger to my dear wife, Sharon, held her hand and visited for an hour or so. She was in good spirits, but her blood pressure and blood sugar were both very low. You got to wonder why the docs and staff are not addressing that important situation. They finally washed and rubbed skin cream on her dry, scarred legs and feet...PTL. Now we think that she might continue to stay there for another week. Sharon showed me-- and I took a few pix of her black and blued arm where some goofy nurse tried to stick a needle there without success-- looks terrible. You see, my wife used to be an advanced EMT and plabotomist [sp.?] [someone who draws blood] years ago as she rode in a rescue squad in OH, and she knows that inexperienced staff allow blood to 'spill' under the skin when they goof up-- and that hurts--Black and Blue! We are not dumb hicks! We are educated and well read-- and many nurses and "medical people" don't like that....Ha! And we always work as a married team as 'patient advocates' for each other-- planned in advance, and have our durable power of attorney and last wishes in good order. We believe in being prepared and knowledgeable.

I got a lot of other things done today, even as I have trouble concentrating lately, but I had to blow off my chiropractor appointment in lieu of getting my own doctor visit to test the amount of Oxygen in my blood at a different hospital in Kenosha. Sharon has always been helpful in remembering important dates and appointments for me, so now I must do my own business and organizing. We are a team, and that makes life easier for both of us.

So! Looks like I am not the only one who likes/ prefers to drive a TRUCK! Victory for Sen. Scott Brown from MA! And to think that obama made fun of his truck..... Shame.

Sharon always enjoyed helping me work with wood and projects with a healthy amount of curiosity and thirst for learning my skills. Not ever wife cares about her husbands pastimes and hobbies. We usually do a lot together.

My wife, Sharon, still in ICU near Kenosha, WI, had a severe spasm right in front of the staff this morning. The staff also concluded that there is a embolism [a blood clot] in her lung, and will do more tests tomorrow and try to dissolved that clot with medicine. I was upset to hear that this morning and had trouble talking to Sharon. I will see her again early tomorrow morning. I call her frequently to see how things are going-- 20 miles away from me. Her blood sugar was very low today too--as she is diabetic.

PS: They just moved her to another room and out of ICU later today. Good.

Evil, Capitalistic America Rushes to the Scene--Again By Jan Markell www.olivetreeviews.org If you're like me, you're fed up and sick of America-bashing from the top down. America was made for greatness. She does not have a covenant with God as Israel does, but she was birthed to spread the gospel and to stand by Israel. She has done these two things well, although as this is written, as a nation we are abandoning Israel. It's still alright to be proud of our nation. Too many today do nothing but knock this country mercilessly calling us the evil empire while giving Iran and North Korea a pass. Early on in the Haiti crisis, a news reporter stated that, "Nothing much can be accomplished here (in the Haiti devastation) until the U.S. Army and Marines arrive." While other nations sat back and took their time, America flew into action. By the way, so did Israel. But those in Haiti admitted that it would take America to accomplish anything and bring order out of chaos. Yet the Left repeatedly portrays our nation as evil, bigoted, greedy, and militarily oppressive. Why is that, when no matter what the crisis is, you can count on American men and women to be the first responders? How many Communist nations rallied to the cause of Haiti? How about atheists, PETA, the Castro brothers, Green Peace, or European aristocrats? Say, where are the "religion of peace" responders? Did we hear a word from ACORN? Does this rescue worker look like the ugly American? Have you heard about the large number of U.S. Christian aid groups who are rallying, even though we're told America isn't a Christian country anymore? And we have now heard that many Christian churches sent some of their members on "mission trips" to Haiti. Some of those people perished as well. And why would America be called bigoted when American rescuers are heavily white and those they are rescuing are 99% black? Then we have the brutal Israelis. However, they were on the ground in Haiti as quickly as America. Initially, they had the only field hospital, while America had floating hospitals off shore. Israel is the smallest nation represented in the rescue attempt, yet they had 200 medical personnel on the ground almost immediately. The incredible amount of equipment they brought with them and the stations they established so quickly and in such a short time is amazing. See a two-minute clip here showing the incredible efforts of Israel. But the tragedy has other ramifications. Some are saying the disaster happened because a couple hundred years ago the nation was dedicated to Satan. Sadly, this historical fact is true. Albert Mohler, President of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, stated, "There is no doubt that Haiti is a very dark place, with voodoo and all kinds of idolatry and dark magic. Enslaving forms of religious belief are very prevalent. It has been a dark place for a long time." Then he states, "Does God hate Haiti? God hates sin, and will punish both individual sinners and nations. But that means that every individual and every nation will be found guilty when measured by the standard of God's perfect righteousness. God does hate sin, but if God merely hated Haiti, there would be no missionaries there; there would be no aid streaming to the nation; there would be no rescue efforts -- there would be no hope. Pat Robertson suggested Haiti's history was "cursed" and that could be playing out today. Robertson did not make his comment in a condemning way and his ministry sent immediate aid; however, saying such things while hundreds of thousands are suffering is not helpful. You can view or read that statement here. The words of Jesus in Luke 13 make the most sense. When a tower fell and many died, Jesus stated, "Do you suppose that these Galileans were greater sinners than all the other Galileans, because they have suffered such things? I tell you, no; but except you repent, you shall all likewise perish" (Luke 13:2-5). This is another wake-up call and another "birth pang" predicted in the Bible. As the day draws closer to our Lord's return, events like earthquakes are going to intensify. The contractions are growing more frequent. And this may be a message for some of you. A "tower" could fall on you and you may have wished you had repented. Pray that the people of Haiti will accept the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ while there is still time. It is a Catholic-and-voodoo-led nation. Only God can break the chain of wickedness that seems to be associated with that oppressed land. Reports said that true believers in Haiti, not affiliated with any of the darker practices, were praying this could turn the nation around spiritually. Others were rethinking their voodoo and dark magic practices. God specializes in bringing good out of tragedy. Was that video powerful truth or what??

Well, I had a busy day again as usual after bringing a nice birthday cake to my Mom and visiting for an hour, then shooting to Kenosha to eat, fill gas, shop for fresh fruit for Sharon and then visit her about 2PM. I stayed there for over an hour and then got anxious-- and that made my wife upset and tearful, but she understood that I get some serious anxiety attacks when I stay in hospitals 'too long.' I just get an uneasy, distrustful feeling while there... and I seem to be on 'pins and needles' -- something left over from the war in RVN.

It's about 20 miles to that hospital, but it could be a lot worse. She says that it may be a few more days before they consider to send her home. Can you just IMAGINE how much it would cost of I didn't have good insurance?? Well, we all know that Sharon is in bad shape and we also know that when we die we shall go to a far better place than our temporary abode on earth. We discern that it is man's prime reason for being on earth to bring praise and glory to the Father in Heaven and try hard to do His will. If we have not got that part right in the past-- we have sure made up for lost time these past few years, personally speaking. Most people, especially most of my extended and close family just can't figure that out. So what do we do? Cry a bit, try to set a good example and pray for them. After all, every human is a 'Free Moral Agent.'

If you want to see what an unbeliever looks like... just watch a dog starring into a fan in the Summer time... lol. Honestly, you can become skilled at discerning who is a real Christian, and who is an unbeliever... however, false/ fake so-called Christians are so slick that they can fool some of us-- for a time, until they show their hand... and then a red flag goes up. But you have to be firmly rooted in the 'Book' -- the bible, to figure out the difference. And the prophecy of the 'end times' in Matthew says that there will be MANY false prophets in the Last Days, that even some of the "Elect" could be led astray! "Be cautious as serpents, yet innocent as doves."

I bought bananas, strawberries, oranges for Sharon today and that always puts her in better spirits--compared to the hospital food, but she has not complained at all, except that there is too much noise from the near by nurses station, and you can bet that much of that is just nurses' chit chat. But we are happy and appreciative that she is being taken care of now. When I joke with the nurses and staff about the coming 'obama-care,' they snort and roll their eyes with disgust and trembling ... lol.

I am tired and ready for bed already. I put a lot of miles on the truck today and paid about $64 to fill it up. PTL for giving us the funds to do that.

I enjoyed reading this message-- and intend to at least visit this church in Wisconsin some time. Sounds like pastor Matt has a firm grip on the truth of the Bible here.

Sometimes I just wonder why we have to have so many holidays on Monday and then all the banks, credit unions and Post Office are closed for business.... LOL. Well, it's nice for the people who get the day off so they can relax with the family, etc., I guess. I will also have a busy day in visiting my dear wife in the hospital, buying some suspenders to keep my pants up, filling gas into the family truck, reading, studying and maybe visiting my Mom who lives about 12 miles away. it's so quiet and peaceful in the house now-- so I have plenty of time to think and ponder things.

Egocentrism, faulty eschatology, and the neutralized American Church

Having been a pastor for over 20 years now, I write out of a deep concern over the state of the Church in America. If one was to look at Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress, the Church in America today is stuck in Vanity Fair. There is a perpetual pursuit by American Christians for personal peace and prosperity. Comfort and ease reigns.

I see no heartfelt desire amongst Christians to serve Him, and see His kingdom expanded in the earth (Lk.13:18-20). There seems to be no desire to truly follow Christ or glorify His name. We seem to have forgotten that Jesus said, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.” (Mk.8:34)

I have noticed over my years that one massive contributor to this lackluster desire to serve Christ and see His kingdom expanded in the earth is the popularly held eschatological belief that Jesus is coming back any day now.

Last week I had a conversation that I have had or listened to thousands of times in the past. A woman, who recently came out of the slumber which grips the American Church, called me to tell me how much trouble she is having getting people involved to take action against legislation which is a clear attack upon the law of God and family government.

She said that they all tell her “don’t you know these things are suppose to take place? These are the end times. Things are suppose to get worse. Jesus is coming to take us out soon.”

I responded by telling her that the Chinese Christians thought the same thing when Mao Tse-tung was coming to power in the late 1940’s. They stood by and did nothing because they thought it meant the end times with Jesus coming back any day. They were wrong. The utter persecution they suffered afterwards is well preserved in history.

They learned the hard way that God doesn’t fly a Chinese flag in heaven. They thought for sure that the Jesus had to be returning because things were getting worse in their country. They paid dearly for their egocentrism and their faulty eschatology.

Nor does God fly an American flag in heaven. Just because things are getting worse in America doesn’t mean that Jesus has to be returning any day now.

What about all the countries where God’s kingdom is growing and expanding? Countries in Africa, South America, and even some places in Asia have seen thousands upon thousands won to Christ over the last decades. Many of these countries are even embracing the moral law of God for the legislative law of their land. What about them?

What? Jesus has to return just because things are getting worse in America? Our egocentrism and faulty eschatology has blinded us, just as it did the Chinese Christians of the 1940’s.

Think of this – in 1900 only 10% of the population in Africa was Christian. Today, it is 48%! Nations like Zambia, Zimbabwe, Sudan, Ethiopia, Nigeria and Uganda have seen spectacular growth. The Church in Africa is alive with a strong commitment to Christ and righteousness. They – who once had missionaries coming to them – are now sending missionaries out around the world!

But Jesus has to return just because things are getting worse in America?

The truth is things are getting worse in America because the Church is playing the whore. We have decided that we like being the sugar of the earth, rather than the salt of the earth Christ calls us to be. Jesus said, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled under the foot of men.” (Mt. 5:13) This is why things are worse in America.

Those who say it is the end times so things are suppose to get worse, neutralize Christian men, and it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. The preoccupation with ever-changing prophecy charts by Christians in America has produced bad fruit which is evidenced by the state of our nation.

The truth is Christ is a king (I Tim.1:17). He is “the ruler over the kings of the earth” (Rev. 1:5). He is the King of kings and Lord of lords (I Tim 6:15). His kingdom is to expand in the earth (Lk.13:18-20). His is a conquering kingdom (Mt.16:18). The reputation of the early Church Christians was that they “turned the world upside down…saying there is another king – Jesus.” (Acts 17:7).

Unfortunately when it comes to the Church in America, all His ambassadors and soldiers have left the field of battle having been neutralized by the faulty idea of present-day, popular, ever-changing eschatological schemes.

Well, I don't think I will 'stick my neck out' too much anymore-- predicting a 'big war' in the Middle East in the month of January 2010, and I feel a big foolish... LOL.
Some of my friends in another 'camp' say that God is DONE with the Jews historically, and they had their chance shortly after Christ died for us... the Jews had the chance of accepting Christ in those days, months after the crucifixion-- even as thousands of Jews did accept the Lord then. The the 'cup was passed to the Gentiles' and the 'Church Time' began for the past 2000 years until now. I am now reading and studying a special book from a friend named, Stan, as I said I was open-minded and curious. I am learning some good points that I agree with-- but I want to finish and assimilate everything before I try to explain things.

But the article below has some good supporting scriptures about the Promised Land that God gave the Israelite s, and things just might get interesting in the near future.
Thank you for allowing me to express my human failings and admissions in this Blog. I just have to continue to satisfy my curiosity and thirst for knowledge-- because, IMHO, this is the 'only game in town.'


Sharon is resting comfortably in ICU--Kenosha St. Catherine's Hospital, as I returned tonight to bring her stuff and check her out. She was happy that I came as promised. The docs and staff gave her some meds to help bring down the swelling and treated her for fluid in the lungs, etc., and the story is that she might be thee for a few days until they can figure out and treat her.


THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH FOR ALL YOUR PRAYERS AND WELL WISHES. Even the hound dog senses Mama is not at home and clings to me for camaraderie.

Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem

We went to church this morning at 0900-1100, then out for a light lunch-- and then Sharon was in so much pain- with spasms, etc, that she asked me to take her to the hospital in Kenosha, WI.-- ER and now in ICU.
Prayers requested, please.

I thought that the chiropractor, Bill Melby, was helping me to feel better as he works on my spine 3 days a week, and Sharon went to bed early so as to get ready for church in the morning. She has been suffering spasms for the last week and chest pains, and we thought that the heart doctor's [Dr. Blanc] staff forgot to give us some kind of phone hook up to 'read' her defibrillator [and called his staff on Friday-- but we all know that not too much will be done on a weekend], and if you are a betting man, you can rely of medical screw ups more than count on them, IMHO [In My Humble Opinion]. Sorry to sound so negative-- but that is a reality. That's kind of like aircraft back in the 1960's- '70's when mechanics and air crew were more serious about the quality of their work and pilots didn't fly drunk [too much] ... LOL. And our helicopter pilots in Vietnam were top of the line- experts, and could pull off many 'tricks' with their skill and battle tested experience that saved many lives. Now days I will NOT fly anymore-- I will just take my time and drive our great Dodge Ram 4 by 4 pick up truck that carries my power scooter... and I let Sharon use it [of course] to shop and get out of the cabin fever thing. Her power chair is still broke after struggling with the idiots and red tape-- insurance companies for over a YEAR!

I have to go back to the ICU- St. Catherine's Hospital --Kenosha, WI, again tonight to bring her some things-- her CPAP machine that helps her breath at night, etc. The ER doctor said that she would be there over night for sure... and then some.

I have called a few friends and asked them to pray for my dear wife.... again. I have been thru this a few times before but it's still stressful.
Attention is on the island of Haiti, and I know how they are suffering--- and we were told at church today that some of our own missionaries left that place just before the earthquake happened!
From what we've seen, the place does resemble a 'war zone' and with NO WATER to wash or drink! I know that our large military helicopters are capable of landing a lot of food, water, meds, and help... and now it's obama's show..Ha! Now he can be on the hot seat. Not to get political today, but when ever your 'help organizations' are so big with layers of red tape and lack of good communications, it turns into a 3 ring circus and many people DIE and SUFFER! But he and the Dims like and want "Big Gov't." Can't you just wait for obama-care? I PROMISE it won't 'fly right.'
I sure remember that the Army had it's share of goof ups, but when you try to combine several branches of services-- some things just don't get done right-- or at all. A smart Gov't has military proficiency and good organization!

Well, we have enough worries of our own right now, don't we?
