70 Weeks of Daniel.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

This is a long and heavy discourse ONLY understood by serious Bible students, IMHO-- and I believe only those who have God's Grace and the Holy Spirit... but perhaps the 'un-Saved' will be enlightened and grasp this too, I hope. It helped clear up a few 'fine points' for me, and so I wanted to share it with my readers and friends this early Sunday morning. It sure reinforced my own faith in Bible prophecy! I'm still too messed up and hurting to attend church but I am searching the Scriptures and praying for my wife and friends today. Being home alone gives me that opportunity of peace and quiet-- to do something constructive and meaningful. I feel that it's a good use of my time to grow closer to my Lord and Savior on a cold Winter day in Wisconsin. I went to sleep very early last night to clean out all the cob webs in my head and get that healing sleep. I kind of wish I could go out for breakfast-- I love eggs and omelets, but it's hard to walk any great distance on my two canes, and supporting all my weight on 'sticks' hurts my wrists. I have a good supply of sardines, but I will have to get some fresh fruit soon. Sharon wants me to visit her today too, but it's hard to dress up and bend my knee too much.

Best Regards,
Tom

The Word of God- Hebrews.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

So that my good readers don't think I am a biggot... lol, I found this cool article about the UNITED METHODIST CHURCH today, but wasn't too surprised at all they are against. I guess many of those folks don't even crack open the Bible!

This being the case, many of my Bible friends agree with me that too many so-called "Christian" churches are nothing more than 'feel good' social clubs who have long departed from pure Bible teaching-- but align themselves with the ultra Left-Liberal wing of politics!! Flash! God has plans for them too.... and I expect that they will be 'Left Behind' too, if they don't see the huge error of their ways and REPENT!
My good friend, Carolyn E., from FL claims that there are not any pure, wholesome Bible teaching churches in her area-- so she does the next best thing: She steeps herself in serious Bible study! Folks, from all that I read daily, things in the USA just might boil down to that in the near future! If "Organized Religion" continues to grow more polluted, twisted and perverted into nothing more than an arm of the Libby Left-- and totally disregards the true Gospel of Jesus Christ-- we may well have to be on our own. Just like the 1st Century, true Christians gathered in private homes and small groups to study, worship, pray and encourage one another. ARE WE ALL READY TO DO JUST THAT??

First of all, IF, for instance, persecution came to the USA over night [just for the sake of argument] what would we do? Just like any other emergency, are we PREPARED? Instead of candles, batteries, water and canned goods--- how much real Bible knowledge do we carry in our minds and hearts? Remember, to draw things out-- we must put things in. So we must have a PLAN! I think that DAILY input of Bible/ Scriptures is a good way and plan... and there are so many different ways to "feed ourselves." Many of us are spoiled and in a rut to just go to church and sit there like a bump on a log-- and then go out the back door quickly to return to our castles and "Comfort Zones." We THINK that we are doing good! But for me, if I don't see people carrying their own personal copies of the Bible, or don't even see pew Bibles, a red flag goes up in MY mind. The Bible is our SWORD! "For the word of God is quick [living, alive], and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder [into pieces or parts] of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart." ~Hebrews 4:12.

The words in the book of Hebrews are so powerful that I will read that whole book again to burn it into my mind and heart. Most of my friends tell me to read the Bible more to put an end to my depression, and so I will. I also will order some more great DEFINED KJV Bibles- inexpensive, regular print: $15, and larger print, $20-hard back etc., today! Here is that web site to order the Bibles: biblefortoday.org ...This is just one idea/ example of how to get the ball rolling/ started, with out too much over head, and it's smart of have a few extra to give away [or perhaps sell only for the original cost of purchase], and LOOK-- people buy cigarettes, etc., for almost that amount of money, etc., but they balk at dropping as much for something that will invigorate and lead them to the Lord?? I just ordered 2 more books: SAFELY HOME-- by Randy Alcorn, about the great numbers of Christians in China who are 'underground', persecuted, tortured for Christ and murdered-- but who vastly out number real Christians in the USA and Europe COMBINED!! Hello!

My point is: Will that same persecution happen here in the US? And if so, what will people do? Those of us caught up in material things might have a hard time taking sides with the Lord... Just food for thought today on this cold Winter day in South East Wisconsin. Deuce the Rottweiler comes up to me while I am on the computer for some TLC and attention. I found out that I permanently lost all my documents and pictures when I had my PC repaired in the shop when I was in the hospital last month-- and the hard drive was fried, so I have to "rebuild" it all again from scratch. Having trouble downloading Adobe Flash Player... I call my wife about 6 times a day just to visit. She says she is waiting for me to get better so she can come home again to live here.
So things are going OK for me today, but 'one day at a time, sweet Jesus.'
Prayers for those living where there are reports about black ice in parts of GA and LA.

Warm Regards,
Tom

Tea Party vs. United Methodist Church

Posted: 07 Jan 2011 08:35 AM PST

Tea Party Nation President Judson Phillips last month saw and disliked a banner at the Methodist Building on Capitol Hill demanding: "Pass the DREAM Act." The sign referred, of course,

Thursday Evening-Tired.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

I have not felt so beat up, tired and melancholy as today with all my running around, doing much needed chores and trips. I have a fear of pushing myself into a heart attack-- as those run in my family. Sure I got a lot accomplished, but for an old disabled cripple, it was hard getting in and out of the truck to let my power scooter down, and it takes 2 hands to operate the electric hoist in the bed of the truck to get the scooter up and down. Mighty cold today too to put your hands on steel outside. You know, not too many of my older relatives complained about any kind of pain from old age, although I know that arthritis also runs in the family... so I never did understand about all the ills and aches of growing old, until now..Ha!

My PT guy- -Physical Therapist, Erwin Lim, had mercy on me today as I was short on breath and had 'some chest discomfort.' We enjoy each other's company and talk bible much of the time, and he carried a great "NoteBook PC" that has the KJV in it-- very nice and easy to read for tired, old eyes. I only had a few roast beef sandwiches, about noon. It was good to finally see/ visit my wife today for a while, and her room mate, Helen. I bought Sharon some of her fav. ruby red grapefruits and Granny Smith apples, plus most of her mail and requested documents. I always enjoy getting a hug and kiss from Sharon. Hugs are good medicine for poor old Tom! I guess I am experiencing the 'seasonal Winter Blues' and do much better when Mr. Sun warms my body in the back yard as I read/ study and grill out. What could be better? I got a hair cut, went shopping for a few items, Credit Union $$, and got a fresh new battery in my watch today too. But that up and down business took a lot out of me today and I ws hurting from it all.

I am a firm believer in book learning- education, but also OJT- experience- hands on training from a good master /teacher, or parent like my own Dad. You really learn so much on a farm, and most farmers can't afford to call a repair man to fix their machines/ tractors/ equipment-- so you end up having to learn plenty of skilled trades like welding, carpentry, mechanics and animal husbandry, agriculture, etc. I am glad that I joined the Army and came home alive after combat, but it may have been better if I had some college under my belt prior to enlisting. God had a reason to save my bacon all those times-- and even though I say that dying in my sleep would be OK with me right now-- I am sure the Lord has a few more plans for me. For me, a bold Christian, death is nothing more than the gateway to heaven and eternity with my Lord. That doesn't mean that I want to take unwise risks, because with my "luck" I would just get injured again with more serious PAIN!

And friends, i know all about the 'Fruits of the Spirit' mentioned at Galatians 5:22, 'Love, joy, peace, kindness, goodness, self control,' etc., but I still get depressed sometimes and lonely. So the Internet and email helps keep me happy, and I love my friends and worry about their safety and lives too -- but especially when I get to visit my Christian friends on the Net. Yet, there may come a time when we may not have these "tools"- communications, Internet, and freedoms-- as Christ's enemies will strike out at US, here in America-- and I think soon. Something called the "Third Wave" that I hear about on WVCY- Milwaukee Christian Radio, 107.7 FM, and you can listen via your PC too. The attack against 'Home Schooling' has already started, and there will be more to come, I'm sure. So I pity those misled CINO's 'plastic Christians' who think or dream that things will get better now because we have some fresh blood-- conservative Republicans and the Tea Party in office now... Sorry folks, I am just too well educated in the Bible to swallow that pipe dream. I will continue to vote and support the new, conservative people-- but I KNOW what must happen according to the Word.

I have noticed [already] that the portions of food in the stores are getting smaller and the price is going up! And I have been blowing my horn about this inflation for a few years now! So I have been 'conditioning my mind and heart' to prepare for even harder times that will affect Christians along with all the other people on earth, including the USA. That is why I include short stories and news events that prove just that point-- and have to do with bible prophecy-- and these 'Last Days.'

Sharon THINKS that maybe she might be coming home to stay in March, or April. I hope we can make things work for her, but I am limited in how much I can care for her. Then I will have someone to talk to and hug again.

Got to let the dog out before I hit the hay.

Warm Regards,
Tom

Local Catholic Church files for Bankruptcy.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

Flash! If this same incidence of clergy abuse [mentioned below from the Milwaukee News today] happened with another religious denomination, such as Baptist, Lutheran, Jewish, or what ever, I would publish it too! But what a sorry commentary about something that COULD HAVE BEEN NIPPED IN THE BUD decades ago... Sad. I, personally, believe that the "system" has been flawed from the very start --of priests being commanded to remain celibate ! 1st Timothy, Chapter 4: 1-4 tells it all: "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and the DOCTRINES OF DEVILS, [verse 2] Speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron, [3] FORBIDDING TO MARRY [celibacy], and commanding to abstain from meats [remember no meat on Fridays?], which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and the the truth." I put ALL CAPS on the part I wanted to high light to get my point across.. sorry. My point is [and all other well read/ studied Biblical Christians know] that celibacy is NOT demanded by the Bible. People will always bring up the apostle Paul urging young people to remain unmarried IF THEY CAN-- to serve the Lord more unburdened/ unencumbered with out the stresses of married life -- and that is only logical and smart. If the younger person, man or woman, is NOT inflamed with the 'passion of youth', of course they COULD get a lot more done in the service of the Lord. [However, only men may "TEACH" in the ministry--per the Bible]. That all makes sense.

But the Catholic church [of which I have MANY relatives and friends still in it whom I love and cherish] 'had to lay down that command' so that there could not/ would not be "any line of successors of a Pope, and other things"-- NOT TO MARRY, and there by MIGHT not have a normal/ natural place for their passions, and some albeit a small minority MIGHT be tempted to molest small boys, etc., [not having any normal, legitimate out let for their passions and desires] ...and now they have this huge mill stone about their neck! There are many scandals in other churches/ orgs., but it seems that those who are married ought to be satisfied with the 'normal' way of life and pursuits....IMO. But a few perverts spoil things for the vast majority of 'good' pastors who serve and conduct themselves well. So now what? And the 'overseers', bishops, etc., have only "moved" the disgraced, offending priests/ clergy to OTHER CHURCHES where they continue their shameful conduct even more!! And now the current Pope is left to clean up the nasty mess that has been going on for decades-- along with the loss of much wealth. Sorry. but we want to continue to bury/ sweep this mess under the rug even more??

When a church that represents Christ is exposed and disgraced, and in the public eye-- finally being made to "pay for the cover up of mounted serious sins"-- it casts a bad light upon their clean linen clothing, and brings reproach on the term 'Christian', in my humble opinion. Do they really have the Holy Spirit guiding them? Would they have God's blessing and protection? Are they actually knowledgeable of God's holy Word-- the Bible? Would any real Christian want to continue dropping money in the collections-- because if they do-- they are supporting this great sin of immorality of the offending church and clergy, and taking sides against God and His Holy Bible! These are good questions to ask in view of the 'End Times', Rapture and 2nd coming of our Lord, Jesus Christ. Please pray and ponder on this.

Comments, please.

Decision Making.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

I am so proud and BLESSED to have a few good, close Christian friends who are BRAVE enough to stick to the Word-- the Bible, no matter who it may "offend"!!
The following comment/ statement of TRUTH really hit me between the eyes and in the heart-- and I just had to share it with all my readers. The fine preacher's name is: Staley, and I love and respect him as one of my main mentors and brothers in Christ.

It's going to take all of my 'word smith' skills to explain exactly how I feel about my 'brotherhood' of Arms/ Combat, and allegiance to the country of my birth. I LOVE AMERICA, and believe at one time, God did bless this magnificent land of plenty and wealth. I also love and study the U.S. Constitution and read it often. I spent 2 years in Vietnam, as many of you already know, and half a year in Germany prior to that, and served with some of the finest soldiers I've ever known, and still keep in contact with many of them. We have a special, firm brotherhood that will last until we die.... and that is just the POINT I will try to make--- to death do we part [and that goes for my spouse too, or course], and it may stop right there for many of my Veteran brethren! The Point is that brave, courageous men and women who have fought well, but eventually die-- either in combat or at home may NOT go to heaven. That is a different, complete subject that MUST be addressed, and NOW! The Bible, written on a 5th grade level, is very clear on the subject about going to heaven. You 'must be Saved by the Holy Spirit, and ACCEPT THE LORD JESUS CHRIST into your heart [forever] -- to get to heaven!' Period! A real Christian [no matter what age, what education level, etc] WILL have the biblical knowledge of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and try to change his/ her life around, for the better, when he gets SAVED!

The fact is that having served in the Armed Forces/ and Combat has NO bearing on the different subject of actually getting Saved, and going to Heaven! They are two different entities-- two different animals, if you will. You all must know the difference and think accordingly. I can throw all kinds of scripture at you, and will latter, but this is the Bible truth of the matter.

So... what is more important in life?? Being in some special "club" of honor and achievement --- or going to heaven forever with the Lord, who has never broke a promise?? Duh.... Do you really have to think about this long? BTW, Soldiers of Christ in heaven may be called on to fight the 'King's Wars' in the near future, as we consider the book of Revelation, and other scriptures. Just who do you love more, Jesus, or your failing, melting country [and I don't care which country you are in] that has forsaken God's Will and commands, winking at big time abortion, greed, corruption, the Gay agenda --EVEN NOW IN THE U.S. MILITARY, perversions, etc??

All real, biblical Christians must ask themselves this question and stand on one side or the other-- and soon! Prayer and Bible study are the most important things you can do now for strength and decision making... dear friends and brother/ sisters.
***************************************************

I had to drive myself to the Milwaukee VAMC earlier today to meet with my "new" male doctor... and he pretty much expected me to be 100% healed up and thinking about my OTHER knee replacement surgery...Ha! I need to buy some chest waders [for fishing] just to stay above all the Bull Jack of the goofy VA, seriously. I just can't wait until the Rapture, and I am ready right now. Thank you all for all your prayers and well wishes.

Warm Regards,

How true! How true Bro. Tom,
Thank GOD for every person who has put their lives on the line or given their lives to preserve and protect our freedoms and NATION. However while preaching many funerals of fallen soldiers and veterans during my 53 years of ministry I have made many enemies because I always reminded those who gathered that giving their lives for their country could not get them into Heaven. The only way into Heaven was and is to heed The Holy Spirit's reproving of sin, righteousness and judgment to come and repent of your sin and ask JESUS to save you. It was and is so surprising to find how many people disagree with this truth. By saying this I do not and did not wish to demean how great a sacrifice one has made to all of us to have served in the armed forces.
My Father in Heaven I ask YOU to bless all of these who have served in this manor and please precious Holy Spirit continue to draw those who do not have YOU dwelling in their hearts. I also ask that YOU bless this noble servant of his NATION and YOU as well as his wife Sharron. Thank YOU my JESUS for being mindful of us as unworthy as some of us are. In YOUR name JESUS I pray. Amen

Inch by Inch.

Tom's Journal.http://tomschuckmanjournal.blogspot.com/tschuckman@aol.com

After a tough but well needed PT session with Erwin Lim this morning, and a good written report about my progress, I decided to take the chance of driving my truck to my credit union, the store in Kenosha and Popeye's chicken, and finally got home about 2:30PM and also ate for the first time today. Getting into the cab of the truck was painful, but driving was OK and worked out fine. I used the used [new] power scooter but had to have some help in ripping off the top neck/ head brace so it went back into the back of the truck bed more easy. I noticed that my truck seat beat had 'more room' in it, but a month ago it fit too tightly around my big stomach.... That is wonderful news for me! Maybe I can "cheat" once a week and go off my diet, but I have to stay on it for LIFE!

I persuaded my way to have my new PCP 'new' VA doctor see me tomorrow early because I am all out of medicine that he will not prescribe without seeing me-- still much pain, especially after hard work outs, etc. I have no 'safety net', and my good nephew is in Wash. DC on a new job-- needs the paycheck! So I figured that I ought to disembark on my own and prayed a lot for protection. I also hope that the used power chair-- a "trike" with 3 wheels will support my lessor weight, and hope to scale up to see if I lost any more pounds... at the VA. I am going there on my BEST behavior, even though I feel slighted, shafted, and abused... lol. All you need to do is say the wrong coarse words [EVEN IF THEY ARE TRUE] and they will put you on a merry-go-round of the "good ole boys routine", and then you will be in hot water perhaps with a disorderly conduct charge. It's a huge, giant system there at the VA [VAMC] that will never change... a white elephant that prob uses our tax dollars for more that we want to know about. Hey! We ought to understand how the GOV'T operates by now...Ha!

Oh my, I am so tired and uncomfortable right now, and I intend to get to bed early. Sharon's "Mother Superior"-- the lady head honcho, named Sue, she wanted to see all day hide and just 'would not be found.' there will be a State agency investigating a harassment charge soon, and I am helping my wife-- but my mom fears revenge and reprisals. So Sharon and I agreed to go to a higher level and contact the 'heavy guns' -- State agencies, after waiting too long. I just want to wait for the new WI senator to get sworn in so we can harness him too. But as for me and the VA-- I would rather go through the system FIRST and reason with the people, as I know their system by now. But you've got to get up pretty early in the morning to play and win their 'game !' People lied to me at the VA Pharmacy all last week [of course] just to get me off their backs, and I should never have trusted them. They told me that they had sent out my meds on Jan. 1st... lol, yeah right-- nothing goes out on that day!! And then today, the head man of the Pharmacy called me up to smooth things out and give me my candy. But to make absolutely sure I do get it in good order, I will have to go in,and pick it up in person... drive some 30 miles, and because that is unscheduled, I won't get my travel pay either.

I say that it's just too bad that a Veteran has to be a well trained speaker and slick to get the needed meds and services he needs to survive at the VA !! An older brother at church, Joe vander Mollen, is mentoring me and helping me to not talk about some of my problems and just LET THEM GO! He has a few fav scriptures that he would like me to carve for him, and maybe in a week or two I will be able to walk the down stairs in my basement/ wood shop to work on that hobby. Hundreds of years ago, the Northern Europeans did their fine cabinet/ carpentry/ wood carving work/ skills in the Winter time, as they could not work the farm land, etc.

Well, maybe God sent my son and nephew to help me during my worst, most pained time after surgery, and now I can barely get around a bit better, even as some of my friends are not able to help me so much. It's just hard for me to swallow lies and mischief, and now the 'engine light' in my truck won't shut off-- so it's back to the dealer to figure that out. I am very careful with my bread and butter truck! It's only when some one else borrows it-- that something goes a rye. But then, my Dad complained about someone messing up his stuff too....

We are so blessed to put all our burdens on the Lord who will take care of all things in His due time. Will this be the year that we get Raptured up, Oh Lord?
