Here is a personal comment from a friend named Mark H.
It has several dear, important scriptures that are special to me, but his points are well taken pertaining to many 'half baked' Christians [no insult intended, please]... and that is:  many people need more guidance, I think, than to just be guided through some 'prayer' and then left on their own, only to go back to worldly, sinful thinking and life style!  If at all possible, the 'new Christian' ought to be led, nurtured and invited to meet with Biblical, mature Christians who set the right example with contact points, book studies, and other 'tools' to help them on their road to Christian maturity.  After all, getting Saved is only the beginning of our spiritual life and work of sharing the Gospel with others.

I think that it's OK to speculate among brothers in Christ. The Problem is teaching and preaching to the lost and babies in Christ that they don't have to worry about the mark of the beast or the anti-Christ because we wont be here. There is already is many false converts who said the prayer for the wrong reason and soon fall away, thinking that they are saved because something they did like say a prayer or being sorry for all the bad thing they done. No true repentance or born-again of the Spirit. I know it's not anything that we can add to salvation as that comes through Christ. His death was not for us to not see persecution. If you follow Him there will be persecution. Look at all the Martyrs in the dark ages they were tormented chased from country to country their babies cut to pieces before their eyes. What makes most Christians think that we wont suffer great losses also. We are truly a spoiled nation that God has blessed. I think the blessings are coming to an end. I have seen web pages that say there will be no mark of the beast until we are gone.

I have never re- posted stuff from FaceBook before and hope I am not breaking any 'rules' -- but I think this subject matter has merit. Regardless of my personal opinions about the prosecution of the war in Afghanistan, my own nephews and friends of friends are fighting over there-- much like my generation did in Vietnam. "Our's is not to ponder why-- our's is but to do or die..." ~an old [and young] soldier's slogan. IMHO, this is a very mismanaged war by a goof ball in the WH who can't even speak without a teleprompter or someone holding his hand-- and NO practical experience in any field except Chicago style corruption! At least, Sarah Palin was the Commander in Chief of her State's National Guard and is qualified with a rifle...Ha!

As I was preparing to go to the Milwaukee VAMC [Veteran's Administration Medical Center], the VA called to ask me a few minutes ago to reschedule my appointment for today because 2 of their regular Orthopedic Doctors are sick today. So I didn't really have any choice but to comply.
My good friend, Joe vander Mullen, was so kind as to come over early this morning to help take my trash out to the back alley for pick up today! THANK YOU, BRO. JOE!! Joe is in his mid-80's and has his own health concerns. Please pray for Joe, and his fine wife, Doris.

Well, if the VA appointed cleaning lady doesn't come today, I am thinking that I might hobble to my truck and visit Sharon-- for another stimulating game of CHESS, and visiting, but we shall see. The 'gas situation' will have a draining effect on most Americans-- and that is MY humble guess.

Please also pray for the Marines mentioned below in a FaceBook message who are fighting and dying to keep the enemy of America 'contained' "over there" rather than fight in our own country. However... me thinks that the enemy is ALREADY in America via transit through our Southern border... and don't they somewhat resemble our Mexican neighbors so that they can pass for one of them and move around undetected .... duh?? Why is it that most of America understands this simple truth/ reality, but 'Homeland Security' and the WH don't??

My last thought today in posting this humble Blog is Psalm 37, that Joe vander Mullen asked me to read yesterday, but this is only the first 3 verses... "Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity. [2] For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb. [3] Trust in the LORD, and do good, so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed." The term: "Fret", means: eat away, gnaw, irritate, vex, annoy, worry. My great "DEFINED King James version Bible" has footnotes of all the uncommon, archaic, Old English terms on the bottom of each page to help the new Christian better understand the Scriptures. Friends, lately I've been LEARNING some great things that helped me put the right pegs in the correct places-- not earth shattering, but still good stuff. Anything that stimulates the mind for positive effect, I believe is good, but especially the BIBLE.. as we read at 2nd Timothy 3:16. Some things are a bit scary, yet also need to be shared, like the fact that many of us may have to choose between staying in a wayward, New Age leaning, apostate church-- or just turning our own houses into 'mini-churches' -- sort of like the 1st Century Christians. And I repeat-repeat-repeat... how will we know what the real TRUTH of the BIBLE is unless we take it upon ourselves to LEARN it by daily reading and study?? Many times I would rather watch TV too and put my brain on the shelf or in a bucket of water... lol.

The good thing is that I built an Oak easel that sits next to my PC- computer with a large print DEFINED KJV BIBLE on it, so I can read and check things out at my convenience, and I carry bibles and tracts where ever I go. Tell me, would a combat soldier walk around without his rifle and bayonet?? Well then, the Bible is our modern day weapon, or 'sword' ! 'DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT!!'

I also believe in being prepared all the time in case of emergencies and try to "think ahead' what do I need, ought to buy, prepare for, in case transportation should halt or be hard to do-- as in the near prospect of running out of gasoline-- or money to buy it. Here again, as in playing the game of chess-- we want to think and contemplate 3-4 steps/ or moves in advance. When the 'system broke down' during Katrina in N.O., some nursing homes went down the wrong path and mistreated, abused and abandoned their patients. I have prepared my wife, Sharon, for almost anything, and taught her many survival skills, in case I can't be there, 20 miles away, right away. And we have taken a few staff members to task and disciplined when they were disrespectful, abusive or negligent to her-- so maybe the word got out and they will think twice before they are rude or mean to Tom Schuckman's wife.

Yes, Apostasy is certainly part of the composite 'Sign' that we are living in the eleventh hour of the 'End Times' before the RAPTURE, and Tribulation. And to settle that goofy fight that some would push who think the Rapture will come in "Mid- Tribulation" or what ever-- let me say that I am Christ's soldier forever-- with out any "Time Limit" attached. So... WHEN EVER the Rapture comes, I want to be ready. I sure wouldn't want to sit in some church and be fed a pack of lies or half truths that are offensive to the great God we worship! And so much for those smarty pants people who claim that they will 'jump over the Lord's side' right at the end... lol. It prob. won't happen, friends, and God is no shallow Hal, but He knows all our minds, hearts and motives. My older friend, Joe V., tells me to read and memorize more special scriptures, and so I shall. I will also buy more products for my wife when the nursing home serves her pig slop, although I do wish she would eat more of her veggies... Did I tell you all that she almost beat me in chess last time we played? I am too good of a teacher, I guess.

My dog usually gets me up in the morning because he needs to go outside after an 8 hour wait. His fav. method to wake me up is to put his cold, wet nose on my bare arm that hangs out the side of the bed-- and it works! There is a lot of care, hard work and expense in keeping a large dog like Deuce- the Rottweiler, but the rewards are great and valuable. Sharon claims that the dog saved my life a few times when I quit breathing from 'Sleep Apnea' in the past, and Deuce has even heard Sharon call from the nursing home on the answering machine and then proceeded to wake me up-- and that worked too. He sees and hears better than his old master Tom, and cleans the carpet when old Soldier Tom drops a few food crumbs or a bone. We know how to make our own dog food from rice and ground beef-- when there has been a 're-call' of tainted 'Chinese dog food'-- what a shame that we are 'hooked' on Chinese products that are honestly inferior and sometimes poisonous --compared to the USA's goods.

But talk about food, we can produce more than enough except that we foolishly convert our good grain into gasoline, and we are ALREADY seeing rising food costs in the grocery stores right now! And it's ALL POLITICAL!! Both political parties are responsible, and the beat goes on with many other nations starving. And then we feed other nations who actually hate us and wish us dead! As I have said many times on this humble blog-- the Bible plainly prophetically says that all these things WILL happen but the 'Wisdom of THIS world is foolishness with God.'

The preacher at church yesterday did a good job in explaining the RAPTURE -- just read the whole 2nd chapter of 2nd Thessalonians. I like the verse, 11: "And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie." In other words, God has already judged them to be wicked and allows them to be blinded in their own stupidity! There will be utter chaos, panic, fear and disorganization on earth as things like starvation and famine grip the earth. And BTW--by the way-- more folks will lose their houses now because the price of gas will force their already tired fingers holding on the last rung in the ladder of home ownership. I can't wait to see the high stepping, proud, finicky, people who normally turn up their noses at food they don't care for-- now grubbing for the skins of potatoes they once threw away as garbage! IMHO, that is where and when the combat Veterans will have a slight edge. But even many 'Christians' will be reminded that they have been lulled into a fairy tale world of wealth and plenty --of wasting food all the time! I was taught that wasting food was a serious sin when I was a young boy. And I strongly suggest that all my friends invest in a veggie garden if they possibly can this year!! You can even use 5 gallon buckets to grow tomatoes, etc. Do the research over the Internet and make a plan now!


Folks, I have been blessed to receive a fine packet of Bible Tracts, from Bible Tracts, Inc.,--Bloomington, IL., called "We're Grateful." It's about how honored and special combat Vets are for serving their country, and rightfully so-- BUT they are still NOT guaranteed a place in heaven just for their brave, fine, heroic 'works' and sacrifices on earth! They need to be Saved too! I can't wait to give/ pass these timely Tracts to many Veterans that I see every day, and at the Milwaukee VAMC! I love and respect my brother Veterans a lot, and have made them my prime 'targets' for sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ, so that they can enjoy eternity in heaven with the Lord! [They have already been thru hell...] This is MY GIFT TO THEM. I will try to scan one for you guys. Tract #6600.

One of the big reasons that I throw in stuff about Rick Warren now and then is because some of my BEST FRIENDS who actually led me to the Lord 15 years ago got caught up in their church's attachments to Rick Warren, going so far as to study one of his books on a congregational level!! Hello! That church is: Baptist Tabernacle, on 80th Street, in Kenosha, WI ! My friends also got caught up in the 'Prosperity Gospel' and suggested that I check it out too, which I did-- but then dumped it. They got lulled into using the NIV Bible too, but even though I have my own strong feelings and opinions about that issue-- I don't make a practice of pushing my view on this subject. Although this scripture may have reference to the Tribulation, it still has bearing here: "For there shall arise false Christs and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect." ~Matthew 24:24. ~KJV. So... we can have confidence and courage that God has Saved us through the merit of Christ's blood, we STILL need to keep up our guard in these last days before the Rapture. This is my Bible based opinion on the matter of the 'strange and different gospels' like 'Purpose driven churches', etc. The devil is still extremely active now! Beware. I have personally 'fallen down' many times in sin, but the Holy Spirit has 'righted' me, helping me to learn from my mistakes and walk tall in the Truth of the Scriptures, PTL ! I have come to understand that I will never know how many and whom I have led to Christ-- until heaven. But it's bit like sales in finance and investments-- 'You don't sit back and count all your money sipping a Mint Julep -- but you continue doing your job every day and focus on your job!'

Right now in the world and America, we don't have a 'shortage of information' -- we have TMI -- 'too much info' on TV, newspapers, etc., and we must sort through that pile to get the honest, correct news-- the precious nuggets of Truth'. Remember, ALL Governments broadcast what is good for THEIR OWN AGENDAS,and many times lies. Take our national debt, for instance, how our gov't prints misleading- under estimated data-- incomplete trash, when the real truth is more extensive damage larger debt levels. But we don't want to be an ostrich by burying our heads in the sand-- but make sure we read and understand what the BIBLE says, predicts and warns! Have I EVER mentioned this before--Ha! ?? LOL!

Sharon continues to have very low BP--blood pressure readings every day, so she has to remain in bed for the most part so she doesn't get so dizzy and fall down to injure her self even more. I said that she should eat SOMETHING to boost her BP, but she keeps vomiting it all up! You would THINK that the doctors and staff could figure these things out and remedy the situation....duh. She does love the game of chess, and I turn it into a party atmosphere to entertain her, but also tell her what went on at church and hand her the bulletin on Sundays. We are going to have a great time together again after I church in the morning, and I will bring her some things to make her better-- food - fresh fruit and drink. Yes, I feel a sense of duty--visiting Sharon often but I also care for her and enjoy her company. All I have to do it to 'mentally change places with her' - empathy, and it makes me sad. And now her power chair is broke- AGAIN, which takes away most of her mobility. but I will have it repaired as soon as I can afford it.

I have too much on my plate this month --to spend more money so I have to 'prioritize' things and expenditures, or I will resemble the US Gov't--Ha !! They won't let me just print more money in the basement...lol. Sharon was moved to a new room: 252, at Woodstock Nursing home, and I will announce that at church in the morning-- Lord willing and the river don't rise.
It's snowing again in S.E. WI., and I sue hope it freezes because my back yard is looking like a muddy quagmire.

This is too good to pass up and not publish.... 'Singing Telegram.' And I found another piece of the 'puzzle' about my own 'disorder' that helped me out... PTSD.

The VA dental cleaning this morning went well and quick, and then tomorrow I have to take the dog to the Vet Hospital in town for a yearly shot and have his nails clipped too. I had a very fruitful day at the VA in Milwaukee this time visiting the Patient Advocate, telling her about the rough treatment, neglect, and abuse I got Post-Op surgery of my total knee replacement -- the week of Dec. 6th, 2010, and she [ the PA] seemed very competent and kind to me-- smart as a whip. I don't LIKE to make waves-- and only hope I have not opened a 'can of worms', but I told her that if the 'African-American RN's and staff of 3rd shift abused me-- what would stop them from abusing other Combat- Disabled Veterans??? I told her that as a Christian I would never seek physical injury toward someone-- but I knew other Veterans in the past who were stressed out and 'unbalanced' who WOULD return 'injury for injury!' It's reassuring to have another type of health insurance-- from Chrysler to fall back on, but why should I be hounded, abused, threatened, and forced away from the VA when I earned those privileges, and I got an HONORABLE discharge, and a 100% disability rating from the VA.
My truck is out of gas and my power scooter is low on battery, but I can handle that stuff soon enough. Gas is about $3.45 now in WI. I feel sorry for the guys and gals who have to commute to work every day over 10 miles. Things are going OK for me right now and not too much to complain about-- I just like to throw a few facts out there for some of my friends and relatives to keep up with, as I know that they are on a busy schedule. I made a beef roast that turned out good yesterday and ate some of it today-- but I don't have the apatite that I did years ago. And I just put the left over roast in the back porch which is cold enough to keep it another day.

I have determined to spend less $$ in the following months because there is nothing I really need to buy, and I like to pay off/ pay down my debt faster too. But not to worry-- inflation will eat up our money fast enough to sting us. Yet, living "single" frees up some money for me.

Question: How do you feel about 'relatives' who lack the spine bone to get back with you with an answer for your question even after multiple requests? Or just maybe they lack the 'social graces' or communications skills to tell you the truth, or at least give you a simple yes or no. I asked some 'relatives' twice if they would clip my dog's toe nails for pay $-- but I guess that they felt uncomfortable for some reason... or didn't know how to use the phone or email... duh. I pity cowards and sneaky people, and would rather not have anything to do with them. My Dad was not a great communicator-- but at least he got the job done. He even took some night school courses to improve himself and also developed his vocabulary-- which inspired me to do the same. The Navy taught him how to use a "Command Voice." I used to read the dictionary for fun! Now I use my PC.
