Melt Down... or Israel's War.

No matter what song and dance I perform-- few people, even most of my own Christian brothers won't see the real light to it's proper proportion or magnitude!  An economic $$$$ implosion of the current financial system [the USA, and beyond] is REQUIRED by Bible Prophecy!!  Our knowledge of the precarious state of the world financial debt/ failure should help keep us focused on the Eternal  realm.  
   All who  REALLY, HONESTLY trust in Jesus Christ, in word and deed, have the greatest wealth [already].  Read:  1st Cor. 2:9....  'eye has not seen...'  Gold is now past $1700/ troy ounce!   I don't consider myself to be a 'financial Saint' either, even though I ought to know better.  'The flesh is weak.'  

But, the other great ailments and Prophecies of the Bible concerning the Last Days might just over take us BEFORE the financial IMPLOSION does... I just can't know all those factors yet, however, all the "signs" are here now showing that we are 'ripe' for some huge happenings soon.  I am thinking that war in the Middle East between the nasty, blood thirsty,  Muslim- Palistinian  neighbor of Israel [and all the others who will join with them] might start their push for "State-hood"  in a month or 2, that might well precipitate the big war mentioned in the Bible that could kick off the Trib., and then all real Christians would be out of the picture-- if you know what I mean.  If you truly are a well read/ studied Bible loving Christian-- YOU WILL KNOW WHAT I MEAN ! 

I usually have and keep a good regimen, but sometimes I get side tracked by some mis-adventure/ circumstance/ distraction... and then I have to get up and back in the saddle.  That's is why I have to write things down or carve them into wood so I never forget... LOL. And yes, it's that important to me!  I will not miss that "Freedom Bird" flight back to safe haven, like I did in 1970.  Somethings just stick in your mind, forever.
   So some of us might also be putting too much stress on this money/ cash/ debt situation when it's really the spiritual/ heavenly stuff we ought to be concentrating on instead.  Time will tell.  If you think I am talking in riddles-- email me, please, with your question--- IF you are not chasing your tail, or trying to jump ship with the rest of the rats... lol.

Knowing the things in the 2 short articles below are not so important that they would prevent us from entering heaven...But, they sure are exciting for me to finally understand and get straight in my head!!  The Light gets brighter and brighter for us that seek wisdom from the Scriptures!  

Well, my fellow Americans, how do ya like them apples... we lost over 500 points in the Stock Market on Friday and another 600 today!!  I don't consider myself 'short on faith' because I worry a little bit, but most of that is because perhaps I 'spread myself a bit thin on credit too' these past few years-- and some sickness, death in the family, etc.  And I have no control over what the satanic Gov'ts on earth do, besides always take the easy way out, the way of least discomfort or wisdom... lol.  After all, 'wide and spacious is the path leading to destruction..' --book of Matt.  

I also wish that I could hire someone to clean my big refrigerator... LOL!  I know that I am somewhat spoiled and not regimented like I used to be.  On the other hand, there were times in my life when I thought that I would end up working hard forever [when I was laid off from Chrysler] and die in a poor man's grave-- and now I see the 'tables turned' for me and some of my siblings and relation and friends!!  I think that finding the Lord and serving Him might have something to do with that.  I looked up the word:  Sagacity, today and was pleasantly surprised-- because that is one quality that I really wanted to acquire in my life time.  And I hope we all know what the beginning of Proverbs has to say about this subject, because it's that important, IMO.  The first 3 chapters of 1st Corinthians has much to say about it too.  If the pay was right, I wish I could have been a college professor, but also a firm, serious Bible student and Christian Evangelist ... or perhaps mix the two somehow.  

I still think about those brave Navy SEALS who got shot down the other day in Afghanistan, and just think that:  as a  simple crew member/ door gunner with the 240th AHC, at Camp BearCat, RVN, we used to FLY in helicopters 7 days a week for a whole year or more!!! It all seems fun and games until someone you know gets hurt or killed...  I don't think we ever worried about getting hurt over there in Vietnam until the last month or so, when our thoughts about coming home were more apparent and hopeful.  And now our own sons and grandsons are "over there" in combat again, perhaps because some liberal goofball thought he could "TALK"  his way out of a fight or war, just as we are doing now, knowing full well that Iran already has nuclear capabilities!!!  "OK, Iran and North Korea, no cake and ice cream for you guys tonight!"  Shame- Shame.  And even now with more bad news coming every day concerning the economic melt down-- they are still playing the "Blame Game" in D.C.!!  Satan thinks this is so perfect because he can keep the world all tied up and chasing their tails with this crises and the next while Heaven's stop watch is clicking way the minutes before the Lord calls up His anointed ones to a better place.

A soldier is always on guard-- but even the most diligent of us may have not been totally prepared for what is happening these past few days with the economic system, too much borrowing, printing too much money in the back room, and Market slide, and my past Blog posts these past few years accurately pointing to this very thing  as the DJ Market making it's "corrections" ... LOL!  All while both political parties were posturing to 'look good' while our 401K's were melting down...Ha!  Many Christians, if not most, are not rich, as they donate a 'tithe' or 1/10th of their copper, silver and gold in support of the missionaries, church expenses, KJV Bibles, etc...  but we can still have/ bear JOY, and the other 8 Fruits of the Spirit. ~Gal. 5:22.   As I was just reading the first 3 chapters of 1st Corinthians, I was reinforced by how much we Christians really have in comparison to the NON-believers in the world.  What we lack in 'filthy lucre'---  we gain in real godly wisdom [IF WE HAVE THE HOLY SPIRIT]!   I love to share my secrets with others on survival, Herbs, and stash, but that stuff is only temporary, as I've blogged so many times.  I just ordered a water-sterilizer [Steri-PEN] today for $99. -- in case we lose the grid and need safe drinking water, but I also have a water distiller in the house too.  And as for me, personally, paying off/ paying down my debts is the smartest idea now--before the US currency loses it's "buying power."  But that's just my humble opinion, folks.   Got to buy more dog food too... lol.

Putting On The Full Armor Of God

I don't know what I was dreaming about last night or early morning, but I woke up thinking it was Sunday, so I dressed up some what, and went to church, but no cars!  I almost thought for a second that the Rapture had come and I was LEFT BEHIND!!  Ha!  What a total scare!  So then I did some light shopping and followed a woman home just West of town, but I knew it was the wife of my good buddy, Bob Melby, a brother from church, age 85, and gave him some sweet cherries, and now I know where he lives.. not far from the animal hospital outside of town!  Good.

I don't know why I fall asleep during the day, during TV or at my PC, so maybe I should just be happy because I am retired  but disabled, and have enough to pay my bills and worship God -- with some peace and security, yet.

To my friends and readers, please continue to pray for my nephew, Joe Erwin, who is a soldier in Iraq right now, and for the families of the Navy SEALS who recently were shot down in a Chinook helicopter in Afghanistan.  I know personally how big and cumbersome Chinooks are as they make fine targets for the enemy.  I prefer the good old Huey's that were a smaller target and more maneuverable-- back in Vietnam: 68-70.

Tom I saw the taliban film of the downing of that chinook. The rpg was fired almost right under it and it looked like it was near hover as it attempted to land. We learned many lessons in the Viet Nam war about how to use helicopters in combat areas. Those lessons have been forgotten. I don't think there was any gun ship prep of the lz

many of those downed in Iran had no gunners and were flying in the death zone altitude. The lessons learned in Viet Nam were paid for in blood but it looks like they will be paid for again in blood. Wonder what idiot decided to use a Chinook for an insertion anyway. ... jim

 Brother Jimmy Hood, sent me a  request for prayer that sounded good and proper, with so much merit, IMHO,  so that I could not refuse but to post it on my humble Christian based Blog:  TOM'S JOURNAL.  Unless I stick to my personal regimen every day of prayer and bible reading/ study, I am humanly at risk of being side-tracked, disturbed, lured, distracted to some other thing, and so I welcome and cherish my circle of Christian close friends who 'wake me up' by what ever means, and visa versa.  I love to quote my fav. scriptures, like:  "For me to live is Christ, and to die is gain." ~Philippians 1:21., But I have many more in my head, from The Book. 

Please consider and share this date and prayer as I am doing today.  Thank you, Jimmy, and friends.

Subject: A Need For Prayer

Our Sunday school class has recently been studying Jeremiah and the

prophecy he shared with the people of Judah about the upcoming judgment

and  impending captivity by Babylon that they would experience if they

did not  repent and return to the Lord. As a loving God, He gave them

every chance  to change, but because they would not listen to Him, they

experienced His  judgment.

 Most of us today are very troubled by the state of our nation. We have

seen attempts by our elected leaders to legislate God out of the

picture.

 While there are still many very committed Believers in our country, in

general we have seen a decline in our country's focus on the leadership

of  our holy Lord. Greed and selfishness have replaced the principles of

honesty and caring for others throughout our land.

 Most of us are aware that our loving heavenly  Father, who is a jealous

God, will not continue indefinitely to tolerate the rebellion He sees.

 Signs of our nation's decline already are appearing, and a greater

calamity may  be just around the corner.

 Believing that God would prefer to see us repent as a nation than to

have  to judge us, I pray for my country regularly. It is my belief that

2  Chronicles 7:14 is as true as ever:

 If My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray

and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from

heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (NKJV)

 There is nothing in this scripture that says the majority of a nation

must repent and seek Him, but it does say that if "His people" - that

is, we  Believers - will pray, it will make a difference.

 I am asking everyone I know to join me in praying for our nation.  If

those I know ask everyone they know to pray, we can soon cover thousands

of  Believers and unite in a day of special prayer for our country.

 Will you join me on Wednesday, August 10, in praying at least one hour

(all day if you can!) that the leaders of our government-federal, state,

and local-will change their hearts and make decisions based on God's

leadership or that if their hearts are too hard to change, God will

remove them from  their positions!

 I believe in the power of prayer, and I believe that the mess we are in

is because  of our lack of faith and prayer on behalf of our nation. We

can  make a difference if we will just pray!

 Will you not only join me in this special day of prayer for our country

but also ask everyone you know-family, friends, church members, e-mail

buddies, etc.--to join us in prayer. I believe very strongly that God

will   hear and honor this prayer!

I'm counting on you to unite your prayers with mine. Please mark August

 10 on your calendar. Let's see how many other believers we can

encourage to  join us in prayer. Please do not let God down on this one!

BURNS   So important to know and share!!!

A young man sprinkling his lawn and bushes with pesticides wanted to
check the contents of the barrel to see how much pesticide remained in
it. He raised the cover and lit his lighter; the vapors inflamed and
engulfed him. He jumped from his truck, screaming. His neighbor came
out of her house with a dozen eggs, yelling: "bring me some eggs!" She
broke them, separating the whites from the yolks. The neighbor woman
helped her to apply the whites on the young man's face. When the
ambulance arrived and when the EMTs saw the young man, they asked who
had done this. Everyone pointed to the lady in charge. They
congratulated her and said: "You have saved his face." By the end of
the summer, the young man brought the lady a bouquet of roses to thank
her. His face was like a baby's skin.

Healing Miracle for burns:

Keep in mind this treatment of burns which is included in teaching
beginner firemen this method. First aid consists to spraying cold water
on the affected area until the heat is reduced and stops burning the
layers of skin. Then, spread egg whites on the affected area.

One woman burned a large part of her hand with boiling water. In spite
of the pain, she ran cold faucet water on her hand, separated 2 egg
white from the yolks, beat them slightly and dipped her hand in the
solution. The whites then dried and formed a protective layer.

She later learned that the egg white is a natural collagen and
continued during at least one hour to apply layer upon layer of beaten
egg white. By afternoon she no longer felt any pain and the next day
there was hardly a trace of the burn. 10 days later, no trace was left
at all and her skin had regained its normal color. The burned area was
totally regenerated thanks to the collagen in the egg whites, a
placenta full of vitamins.

This information could be helpful to everyone!

I know and understand for a fact that God can and does make it possible, by giving us "special tools" [like the power of the Holy Spirit-- that can conquer ANYTHING], to overcome any serious sin, IMO.  I never was an alcoholic, but enjoyed an occasional cold beer or some spirits or wine... but I wanted 'more power' inside me to resist the craving for spirits, and so I prayed hard for the Holy Spirit to give me that strength-- AND HE DID!!  I am convinced that my flesh is weak-- but the POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT can help ANYONE in the world who truly accepts the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior defeat any problem in life!!  Right now, I am working on my impatience.  And I just got an email from my buddy, Jimmy Hood, in South Caroline, about the subject of:  HOW and WHOM to pray for, today.  Read comment.   'I stand corrected, friends!'  And this was very important to me also!  Thanks.

I enjoyed smoking, but quit that habit forever in 1973-- and never looked back nor felt the 'urge' again!  The Lord also took away my 'taste' for beer and liquor, so that I know I don't have ANY special taste for the stuff anymore, and am very happy about that,  but I keep some of it in my house for special, trusted company, and maybe on a hot say with a good Italian Beef sandwich, ONE, cold, imported German beer might just compliment the hot beef sandwich.       I have had similar circumstances with things I wanted to chase away from my mind and heart, to varying degrees, and seem to control myself much better than before.  Some of them, like COMBAT PTSD, are like diabetes and cancer---  you can't cure them, but you can learn to LIVE with them and be more at peace with yourself-- and others.  So there it is.  And at the end of the book of Revelation, Chapter 21: 4, "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes;  And there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying,... nor pain."
Christians who have done what Christ said, can, and do  have this great hope for joy and happiness.  I do. 

Trust me on this one, and read for yourselves, where true comfort and peace of heart are now a part of our lives no matter what comes down the pike.  It was not my own 'powers of self control' or training, that kept my head together when I experienced the horrific trauma of losing  both, my dear wife and my son, Andy, this past year, and also dumped on with more surgery and pain!!  It was the Holy Spirit that got me through this all !!  Besides earnest prayer,  serious, deep, study of the Bible will bring the Holy Spirit to us, IMO!   I will never allow anything nor anybody the power to separate me from to love, power and might of:  God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, ever again!  My close, sainted friends protect and warm me too, and that is another reason to hang around other real Christians at Spirit-anointed churches in the world-- but you have to look closely, as wicked wolves are sneaking in bringing their false doctrines, New Age junk, etc., emergent church babble.  Use the pure KJV Bible so as not to be misled or watered down, please.

    Hoping to get back to the above picture weight level-- about 230 pounds...but it will be a long road to hoe...and back to the health clubs.   Prayers and support accepted.  Thanks.
