Season's Greeting and Blessings to all who read this Web Site !
Hal Lindsey has a very special way of getting the great work of sharing the finer point of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I am so glad and happy to share his works with all who read my humble colunm.   I also shope that most of my email friends will start getting his news personally.  It's free, of course.
U.P. so far North in America the weather is surely turning COLD and icy!   The News warns us when the streets and highways get slippery, so we don't have a traffic accident.   And I don't need to fall on my back this year, either!
I had such a terrible pain in my Right hip and lower back lately, and forced to visit the local VAMC to get X-rayed, but the ER doctor seems to think that it's old age and Arthritis, so we hope that is all.   I need to see a Chiropractor soon.        We also bought a 15 pound turkey at the local store today and thawing the bird out even now and just might eat it early or save some for Christmas time.  I am so happy and grateful to have a loving wife here with me --- after being away dduring Christmas time and family thru the years, serving in the Army ddduring 2 long years in Vietnam:  68-60, as most of you good people remember, Huey Helicopter 'door gunner.'   I also miss my children now as one has passed away, Andy, my dear son.   I hope to meet him again some day at a "special place set aside by our Lord, Jesus Christ."

It's not some false hope or fairy tale that we Christians believe in...

3. However there are many false religions in the world that lead men and women away and draw their 'believers' away with empty promises, lies, from STD...  Satan the Devil.  Beware and study the KJV Bible daily until you know the truth of the Bible!  In many cases the time of Rapture will be soon, or too soon for many folks.  Help one another in this manner by sharing what you aready know, dear friends.   Just reading the book of Romans,
4. first Chapter will explain how the Lord God feels about homosexuality, etc., and I well know I am inviting danger and harm to myself just for mentioning this very subject !!   But I am merely sharing something that I have read many times in the KJV Bible, friends, hoping to clear up any misunderstanding that many might have, and I like to help others IF I can.
5.   But if I must die --- I know that my Lord Jesus will Save and Resurrect me to life anew.  And really with all the pain I suffer right now -- do I really want to languish longer in agony and pain?  Please pray for me and my wife, Loretta, too.   Thanks.

Hal Lindsey (mail@hallindsey.com)To:you Details

December 21st, 2018 For many of us, Christmas is our favorite time of the year. But each year it grows more difficult to navigate the suffocating commercialism and secularization of the season to arrive at the genuine reason for the celebration: the incarnation of God as a human to become the sacrifice for our sins and make possible our reconciliation to God. I'm afraid we've lost our sense of wonderment at the unfathomable miracles that made possible the advent of our Savior. One of those miracles was the coming of the magi to worship the child. As is our tradition on this program, I will examine the story of those mysterious 'wise men' who traveled so far to worship the new 'King of the Jews.' Who were they? How did they know to watch for a sign in the heavens? How long did they wait for that sign? Where did they come from? (Hint: It's a land where, 20 centuries later, the followers of the Christ child are suffering tremendous persecution and martyrdom.) Why did gentiles come to worship the King of the Jews? How did God use them to preserve the Messiah's life? You'll learn the answers to all of these questions and more this week when I discuss "The Mystery of the Magi." I think it will rekindle in you an appreciation of the complexity of God's plan to redeem His creation through His own sacrifice. Christmas is a celebration of that overwhelming and unsearchable love. Don't miss this week's Report on TBN, Daystar, CPM Network, various local stations www.hallindsey.com or www.hischannel.com. Check your local listings. All of us at The Hal Lindsey Report and Hal Lindsey Website Ministries wish you a wonderful and blessed Christmas. Never forget why we celebrate and Who we honor at this time of the year. Also, remember to pray for all of the members of our armed forces who are standing guard for our nation around the world. Pray, too, for our local first-responders -- those men and women who stand ready 24 hours a day to protect and rescue us. This is a lonely time to be away from home and the ones they love. Pray that the Holy Spirit will strengthen, encourage, and protect them and make them to feel His presence in a special way during this holy season. Merry Christmas, y'all! What The FBI Hid From Trump About Hillary Clinton Will Leave Your Jaw On The Ground

Investigators are closing in on James Comey and the FBI for their lawless conduct during the 2016 Presidential election.

The cover up surrounding the Bureau’s efforts to bring down Donald Trump is unraveling on a daily basis.

And what the FBI hid from Donald Trump about Hillary Clinton will leave your jaw on the ground.

The watershed moment for the Russia investigation was a January 2017 story by CNN that then-FBI Director James Comey had briefed President-elect Donald Trump on the existence of a dossier where the Russians claimed they had “kompromat” – compromising information – on him.

Comey briefed Trump specifically on the allegation that during a 2013 visit to Moscow for the Miss Universe Pageant, Trump had hired prostitutes to urinate on a hotel bed that he believed Barack and Michelle Obama were going to sleep in.

The dossier claimed the Russians had video of this incident.

Nearly a year later, the American people learned that Hillary Clinton and the Democrat National Committee hired foreign spy, Christopher Steele, to collude with the Russians and put the dossier together.

That was bad enough.

But then the FBI released a two-page summary of Comey’s briefing to Trump. In this memo, it showed that Comey never told Trump during the briefing that Clinton and the DNC paid for the dossier.

The memo reports that Comey described Steele as a foreign intelligence operative working on behalf of “private clients.”

“The source is an executive of a private business intelligence firm and a former employee of a friendly intelligence service who has been compensated for previous reporting over the past three years. The source maintains and collects information from a layered network of identified and unidentified subsources, some of which has been corroborated in the past. The source collected this information on behalf of private clients and was not compensated for it by the FBI,” the memo read.

Comey kept Clinton and the DNC’s role in funding the dossier secret from Trump because of how he and his allies were planning to make use of the briefing.

Comey only briefed Trump on the dossier for the sole purpose of creating a news pretext that the briefing had occurred.

Once CNN reported on the briefing, Buzzfeed then published the Steele dossier in its entirety and the collusion fever took hold in the fake news media.

Had Comey told Trump that Hillary and her political allies had paid for the dossier, Trump would have responded to these stories by telling the people the truth about the dossier – that it was fake news paid for by his political opponents.

The collusion storyline – and the subsequent Mueller investigation – never would have gotten off the ground had this truth been known to the public.

That’s the real scandal that needs to be investigated.

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this ongoing story.

After all friends,  it only means you very soul forever.   And you know that I am NEVER asking for any money nor praise!   God has blessed me so much in my long life with creature comforts and a few luxuries.   We are not rich, but we have the TRUTH of the Bible, a few friends, plenty of food, clothing, a roof, and fine transportation.

Understanding the Names of God, Part 1: El Elyon

El Elyon is one of the many Hebrew names of God.  It translates as “God Most High”.
When I started thinking about the significance of this name, I figured it was not much different than the other names of God such as Elohim or El Shaddai, which in general refer to God’s omnipotence.
After digging deeper, I gained a different perspective.
To me, it seems that the name El Elyon is about position.
It’s about God’s position in relation to everything else in the universe.  Everything that God created and everything that man created.
El Elyon is above everything.  Over Satan, over angels, over nature, over princes and principalities, over man.
Even so, the desire to “be as gods” — to be as El Elyon — has been around for a long time.
This desire is the pride that led the angel, Lucifer, to rebel against God in heaven.  The same pride that led Adam and Eve to eat from the forbidden tree of knowledge in the Garden of Eden.
The same pride that led Noah’s descendants to attempt building a tower whose top will reach into heaven.
El Elyon is used 28 times in the Bible.  One of those times is in the book of Daniel, Chapter 4.
Here we find King Nebuchadnezzar II reigning over the Neo-Babylonian Empire (modern-day Iraq) in the time of the Judean exile.
Daniel, a Jew taken captive by Nebuchadnezzar, serves the king loyally while also remaining true to the God of Israel.  Daniel is gifted by God with the ability to interpret the meaning of Nebuchadnezzar’s many dreams.
In one of these dreams, an angel descends from heaven to announce that a tree will be cut down, but its stump and roots will remain.  There is a man in the dream who will be changed from a man to a beast for seven periods of time, so that the living may know that El Elyon is ruler over the realm of mankind. And bestows it on whom He wishes.
Daniel interprets the dream and tells Nebuchadnezzar that he is the tree that will be cut down.
“… This is the decree of El Elyon, which has come upon my lord the king:  that you be driven away from mankind and your dwelling place be with the beasts of the field, and you be given grass to eat like cattle and be drenched with the dew of heaven; and seven periods of time will pass over you, until you recognize that El Elyon is ruler over the realm of mankind and bestows it on whomever He wishes. And in that it was commanded to leave the stump with the roots of the tree, your kingdom will be assured to you after you recognize that it is Heaven that rules.”
Furthermore, Daniel personally advises Nebuchadnezzar to renounce his sins.
What was going on with Nebuchadnezzar that God would intervene in such a dramatic way?
As we will see in how things play out with Nebuchadnezzar, “Many are the plans in a man’s heart, but it is the Lord’s purpose that prevails” (Proverbs 19:21).
I think this context will make clear the significance of El Elyon, the God Most High.
Nebuchadnezzar was one of the greatest warrior kings of this time, and during his reign (c. 605 – c. 562 BC), Babylon became the most powerful city-state in the known world.
He expanded his empire tremendously, gaining power and wealth by either conquering or requiring tribute from other regions.
In 605 BC Nebuchadnezzar subdues Judah, and the first group of Jewish captives, including Daniel, are deported to Babylon.  These Jewish deportees were largely the upper class and skilled tradespeople.
A few years later in 597 BC, he attacks Jerusalem, again taking thousands of Jewish captives, including the prophet Ezekiel.
And according to Daniel 1:2 the sacred articles of the temple of God are carried off to Babylon and placed in the temple of Nebuchadnezzar’s god in Babylon.
(We know from other biblical accounts that it has never been a good idea to mess with God’s temple, or the Ark of the Covenant, or other sacred vessels.)
Finally, in 586 BC Nebuchadnezzar attacks Jerusalem a third time.  After a prolonged siege and unspeakable horrors, the walls of Jerusalem fall.  The city is razed, Solomon’s Temple is torched and the remaining sacred articles carried off to Babylon.
Chronicles 36:18-19 records that Nebuchadnezzar carried to Babylon all the articles from the temple of God, both large and small, and the treasures of the Lord’s temple.  “They set fire to God’s temple and broke down the wall of Jerusalem; they burned all the places and destroyed everything of value there.”

These are just some of Nebuchadnezzar’s military exploits.
Back home, there are other exploits in the form of many grand building projects.
One of Nebuchadnezzar’s most spectacular projects was the restoration and expansion of the Etemenanki, a ziggurat which was thought to be built over the ruins of the Tower of Babel.
The Etemenanki is said to have been approximately 300 ft. high, requiring at least 17 million bricks to be made and fired.
The Etemenanki was a tower-temple dedicated to the god Marduk.  Marduk was recognized as the supreme god of Mesopotamia, and especially the city of Babylon.  The people believed Marduk was the creator of the universe.  They also believed Marduk lived, not in heaven, but in the Etemenanki, near them.
It’s interesting to note that centuries earlier, God had intervened in a dramatic way when Noah’s descendants attempted to build a tower whose top will reach into heaven — the one known as the Tower of Babel.  To put it mildly, this project did not please God (cf. Genesis 11).
And Nebuchadnezzar’s tower-temple project does not bode well either.
Also, remember, we know from Daniel 1:2 that Nebuchadnezzar carried off some of the articles from the temple of God to the temple of his god in Babylon and put them in the treasure house of his god.
For Nebuchadnezzar, it seems no problem for him to desecrate El Elyon’s sacred articles by putting them in his god Marduk’s temple.
All of this has taken place prior to Nebuchadnezzar’s dream.  So, it is clear why God must intervene to make himself known as El Elyon, the God Most High.
I think if we look closely, we can see ourselves in Nebuchadnezzar.  Running here and there with our high-minded plans to fulfill our “purpose” in life, and then slipping into living our lives as if we were a god unto ourselves.
How easy it is to forget El Elyon’s position over us, and over everything.
Nebuchadnezzar is unruffled and unmoved by God’s warning to him in the dream.  Twelve months roll by without incident.
Then, in Daniel 4:30 we see Nebuchadnezzar walking on the roof of his palace, musing to himself, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?”
Wow.
To me, it seems by what he says, that Nebuchadnezzar has literally become blinded by pride.
Of course, we know what happens next.  Immediately, the warning in the dream is fulfilled exactly as predicted.
Nebuchadnezzar goes insane in the wilderness.  “He eats grass like oxen; his body is wet with the dew of heaven until his hair has grown like eagles’ feathers and his nails like birds’ claws.”
At the end of seven periods of time, Nebuchadnezzar praises El Elyon.  Then God restores his sanity, and his kingdom is restored even greater than before.
Daniel 4 ends with this verse: “Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.”
I wonder: Did Nebuchadnezzar whole-heartedly recognize God as the one true God, El Elyon, the God Most High?  Or did he continue to worship his god, Marduk?  This does not seem clear.
But what is clear to me, is that Nebuchadnezzar’s pride represents the pride of mankind.
And we see that pride is reckless.  Even worse, being blind, pride cannot even recognize itself.
As human beings, we forget that we are but dust.  That we came from dust and will return to dust.  And because of pride, we begin to overrule El Elyon.
Yes, God created us in His image, and in that way, we are to be Godly — a reflection of Him to others.
Only He is El Elyon, the God Most High.
