What are we doing?

Well Folks,
Bill Wilson got it right again, but reminded me with a little 'tweak' that....  if God does not bring judgment on the USA for our 'collective sins' of electing a person LIKE the coming anti-Christ,  God may just allow natural powers to blow down our house of cards...  like the financial melt down that could happen at any time.   Being a student of History, I will tell you all a little secret:  Waging, mounting and sustaining a WAR is very expensive !!   When you sit down and figure what every single soldier in the field carries into battle, his gear, weapons, food, etc., and what about the price of ONE Tomahawk missile ??   Having been a former helicopter door gunner,  I know how much "Av-gas", JP-4 and 5 cost, just to fill up the 'ship' [bird --helicopter] one time!   The diameter of the filling gas hose spout is huge compared to our normal civilian auto gas nozzle delivery system!   And when ever we 'had to stop' at the POL dump for re-fueling, we all had to pee [urinate] too [pilots too]... right there in the open...  TMI ?

Bill hit a great point with inserting 2nd John  7,   2 John 7: "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." These people are not allies of the American people or their way of life. They are not allies of the one true God!!

Friends,  I might become loose and goofy again, if I didn't 'keep my guard up' be constantly reading and meditating on God's Word,  the KJV Bible [Please see:   biblefortoday.org] DAILY !   The book of Hebrews contains:  "Do not forsake the frequent gathering of yourselves as some do..."     In other words, GO TO THE WEEKLY [not WEAKLY]  Meetings at church if there is a good,. Bible reading church near you !   If not, then YOU ARE THE CHURCH, and you need to seek out other real Christians near you who are firm Believers.
I just found an older Vietnam Veteran, Navy, age 75, "Born-Again CHRISTIAN just two door down the same street that we live in yesterday !!!   You'd better believe that we are going to get together soon.   His name is Pete, and his stomach was removed by the VA.....   he had to have two surgeries.  His stomach was literally 'tied in a knot' and totally messed up, so the Milwaukee [WI] VAMC -[HOSPTIAL] removed all of his stomach and screwed up royal [of course] and had to go back and repair the damage they did the first time !  I was at the VA again today for some pulmonary tests -- breathing, at 0800 hours.   Is it any wonder that I am hyper-alert when ever I roll into those VAMC doors ?  But my new friend likes me and we will have much to talk about, I'm sure, as he is a born-again Christian  gentleman.   He has a truck too, but no phone.  What drew him into my front door?  The Army-Vet-RVN- decals on my '07 Dodge Ram truck!

I want to be a magnet that people will trust, respect, honor, so that I can approach them with the Gospel!  That, and taking care of my pretty wife, Terri, and loving her,  SUPPORTING HER,  teaching her the Bible, are prob. the only reasons why God has kept me on this Earth so far, IMHO, NOW AT AGE 64.    I eat and sleep too, but....sharing the Gospel is my main, primary function these days.   BTW,  Terri is already doing much better with her new Diabetic life style.   She told me that it's hard -- but she can and will do it.   It's strange how a small catastrophe in our lives happens like her new physical condition- Diabetes, and my own chest discomfort draws us close -- and all the stupid arguments and disagreements just vanish away--- and we wonder why we ever had them !!   Life to us is very precious,  but we CHOOSE to surrender and give our lives to the Christ, forever!   THAT is what real love is all about--- even to the Death!    Soldiers in war and combat fight and DIE for some obscure Gov't idea....  or just maybe a gas pipeline going thru the Middle East and onto Europe--- and it's all about oil, gas, money, power and greed !!!   So WE Christians reserve the right to surrender our very lives for something that we can PROVE is right and correct, and honorable, according to our KJV Bible!  We ARE Soldiers of Christ  --- not perfect  --- just  Forgiven, and we know where are real Home is....   Heaven!

Warm Regards,
Tom Schuckman

What are we doing?
The headlines are filled these days about the occupant of the Oval Office beating the war drums against Syria. He is doing everything he can to convince Congress that he should be able to bomb Syria and give military aid to the terrorists who are trying to take down the fascists. What are we doing? This entire exercise, which has been very public demonstrates the extent that this man will go to support the Muslim Brotherhood and its policies. Have you seen the stories about servicemen saying they don't want to fight on behalf of al Qaeda? There is this common sense reality that America should not be supporting terrorists, and then there is the reality that we have a president who is with them.

Folks, probably never before in the history of America have we had someone in the Oval Office whose actions are distinctly non-American. There are always differences in political opinion, but if there ever were a "red line" in the presidency, this is it. He will lie, manipulate, use the full authority of the office, to support the Islamic jihadists. This is not a political opinion, we have a clear and distinct track record that consistently favors the Muslim Brotherhood whose battle plan for North America is a "grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and "sabotaging" its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated..."

These are the people our president is supporting in Libya, Egypt and Syria. Moreover, we know al Qaeda. But do we understand that al Qaeda has become a major military arm of the more political Muslim Brotherhood? America may have supported the bad guys from time to time in years past, but this is truly supporting the antichrist system. Islam teaches that God had no son and that Jesus was only a prophet. Remember what the scriptures say. 2 John 7: "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist." These people are not allies of the American people or their way of life. They are not allies of the one true God.

Leadership is the issue. Beneath leadership, We the People are the issue. Uninformed and politically partisan voters choose and elect evil men and seducers to lead them. Psalm 33:12 says, "Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD; and the people whom he hath chosen for his own inheritance." As Christians, we are heirs. But our nation--which is comprised of the people--has collectively turned away from the LORD in selecting its leaders. The condition of our nation reflects this. Judgment? Perhaps. But more likely the natural consequences of not abiding in God's will. Psalm 12:8 says, "The wicked walk on every side as the vilest men are exalted." Is this what has become of our nation?

Where do you turn to in Scripture when you are under stress? - Randy Alcorn's blog

Posted: 06 Sep 2013 12:00 AM PDT
In this video interview with EPM staffer Julia Stager, we discuss stress and finding help in Scripture:

Julia:
Stress is a part of everyone’s everyday life. I know it’s part of my life every day. It’s not a question of whether I’m stressed; it’s a question of how stressed I am. Where do you turn to in the Bible when you’re under stress?
Randy:
I think of 1 Peter 5:7 where it says, “Cast your cares upon Him, because He cares for you.” God is intimately involved in our lives. He cares for us. He’s there for us. I think about His indwelling Holy Spirit. Not only the Holy Spirit, but Christ Himself—the hope of glory, the Son of God—indwells us. His promise is, “I will be with you always.”
woman under stress // Where do you turn to in Scripture when you're under stress? In terms of Scripture, I go to the last five chapters of Job. They are very much like staring into the Grand Canyon or being out under the night sky and just looking up at the stars, because of the greatness of God. For instance, in Job the Lord says, “Who is this that darkens my counsel with words without knowledge? I will question you, and you shall answer me. Where were you when I laid the Earth’s foundation? Tell me if you understand. Surely you know.”
He goes on to say to Job, “I’ll ask you, for you have lived so many years.” God was being sarcastic with Job (which is a way we can justify our sarcasm with each other. This is what we’ve been looking for!).
But to me, it’s a huge reminder that God is so big. The thing I would say is, don’t think so much about yourself. Think about God.
Julia:
Absolutely. We have such an opportunity to trust God in this life. I can barely see two steps ahead of me. So if I try to see two steps ahead of me, I’m going to get distracted and become vulnerable to attacks from the enemy. But if I just focus on the present and trust in God’s provision for us (like He says He will), then my stress level usually comes down.
Randy:
Exactly. And you just hit on another characteristic of God—His omniscience. He knows everything. He knows the end from the beginning. And He promises He will work all things together for good for those who love Him. And that means, in the midst of the most stressful thing we have ever experienced or will ever experience, God is in it, and He will use it for our good.
Now that brings an eternal perspective when you’re under stress.
