Hi Friends,
It seems like I am at the VAMC almost every day, including this morning, for another wound dressing by Steve, the male RN, specialist. And then to the 5th floor at the Iron Mtn., Oscar Johnson, VA Hospital, in the U.P. of MI., because the ignition switch on my power scooter is shorting out. t least they are starting to take care of me better, IMHO, but there are many other older Veterans who talk to me about their own lives and struggles with the VA's lack of care and cooperation, etc. BTW, We Vet's are NOT a breed of complainers, but have waited patiently for YEARS of being neglected because both Houses in Congress have dragged their feet in building a fire under the VA's behind !! All we want is for the Gov't contract with us to be honored and fulfilled --- and we are already dropping like flies, while other countries TAKE BETTER CARE OF THEIR VETERANS !
We will gladly shut up when we get the medical care that they promised us when we joined up to defend the USA! Period.
Well, anyway, Steve thinks that my wound is STARTING to heal a bit better, with new skin trying to "bridge it's way across the span of bloody wound." So far they have tried most everything to help me heal, but the visiting RN, Nichole, scolded me for not being on my back more and having my leg elevated ! I promised that I would do just that, even though I feel that I am wasting the last few days of Fall, U.P. here, and Winter is knocking on the door like the "Big Bad Wolf" already! It was down to the mid- 30's last night !!!
Something wonderful will happen to my dear Terri this coming Sunday, but I will keep it a surprise for now. For some reason, she has been a lovingly, kind, angel to me this past week, and it's like a 2nd Honey Moon to me. I hope that the Holy Spirit is having this effect on her, and I am sooooooo thankful, dear Lord ! But I have a certain fear when things like this happen --- that something will take away my happiness, or something will happen to the one I love.... a bad, but real superstition, and Deja Vu of stuff that happened in the past. But now, I also have a sense of inner peace, and not worrying about all the bad events and BS in the world... none stop bad News, etc., that I am just filtering out. I don't watch much News anymore, because it's just too depressing, and prob. half of it baloney, anyway. And when a person is "Saved by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross, what can really hurt or frighten us ??? Death is but a simple 'door way' that leads to everlasting life -- in one place or the other, Heaven or Hell! Once you are truly Saved, you are on track for eternal life in Heaven with the Lord and the Saints. The KJV Bible, and the Lord God, consider us Saved Saints the second after we confess all our known sins and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, forever ! ! ! From then on, we want to learn more about God and His Will for us, by continued prayer and bible study, and fellowship with other REAL Christians if we can.
But there is a tell-tale sign in the book of John that identified real Christians: That they will have true love for each other, and not kill or hurt each other. We are still sinners on earth, but this outstanding quality makes us stick out! Two, We have a certain "glow" about us, in that we have a certain JOY, and HAPPINESS, because we now have the Holy Spirit indwelling in us, and it just naturally overflows so that others can see it, and we cannot help ourselves from SHARING THIS JOY, AND THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST WITH OTHERS ! Mark this, because, it's the truth, and a 'touch stone' of identification, folks !

Pieces of the prophetic puzzle taking shape
Turkey, a major player in end time prophecy (Magog, Meshech, Tubal, Pergamos), responded to the US "president's" new Arab Spring strategy announced in his Wednesday address to Americans. A high level Turkish government official Thursday told AFP that "Turkey will not be involved in any armed operation but will entirely concentrate on humanitarian operations. Turkey will not take part in any combat mission, nor supply weapons." AFP reports that Turkey is the only Muslim country in a coalition of 10 countries who agreed at the recent NATO summit to fight the Islamic State, but as we can see, it is not. Conversely, Turkey has been criticized for its indirect support of the Islamic State (IS).
Moreover, the occupant of the Oval Office continued as a Muslim apologist saying that the IS, which he calls ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) is not Islamic and that Muslims are its greatest victims. He said, "Now let's make two things clear: ISIL is not "Islamic." No religion condones the killing of innocents. And the vast majority of ISIL's victims have been Muslim. And ISIL is certainly not a state. It was formerly al Qaeda's affiliate in Iraq, and has taken advantage of sectarian strife and Syria's civil war to gain territory on both sides of the Iraq-Syrian border. It is recognized by no government, nor by the people it subjugates. ISIL is a terrorist organization, pure and simple. And it has no vision other than the slaughter of all who stand in its way."
Many wonder how the end time beast empire spoken of by the prophets in the Bible could rapidly come to power. While we may not be witnessing the rise of the actual end time beast empire, we may be seeing a foreshadow of just how quickly these events can take shape. The "president" is obviously selling to a mostly unaware and ignorant public that the caliphate in the Levant (which includes Israel and Jerusalem) does not represent Islam. He boldly claims that no religion would kill innocent people. But Islam has been doing it for centuries. He ignores that the IS Caliphate not only is carrying out the Quran in word and in deed, but also believes it is ushering in the end times from an Islamic eschatological vision.
His Arab Spring strategy in the Middle East replaced decades of US foreign policy of maintaining stable secular governments in the region with one of overthrowing governments and establishing Sharia states. His support of the Muslim Brotherhood and its military arm, al Qaeda, combined with not addressing Iran's nuclear quest, and the added component of Turkey supporting the caliphate, quickly shapes up the prophetic puzzle, a foreshadowing of the end times at the very least. The Apostle Paul spoke of how in the latter days sound doctrine will not be tolerated, persecution will abound, and "evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived. (2 Timothy 3:13)" This is how it's done.
