Stopping totalitarianism

The Founding Fathers knew that a free nation would only remain free if there was freedom of speech, especially as exercised by the news media. The First Amendment reads: "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances." The "press" prided itself in being the "Fourth Estate"--that non-governmental branch of the nation holding the government accountable, the watchdog of the people. The watchdog of the people has become a lapdog of the government, but that has changed in recent years.

The cozy relationship between the news media and the socialist left has enjoyed a long honeymoon since those nasty capitalist pigs were brought down by the Watergate burglaries, causing the resignation of President Richard Nixon. For decades the news media became more leftist, increasingly biased, and far more supportive of big government and dismissive of conservative constitutionalism. The lesson they should be learning is that government cannot be trusted and that it is healthy to have an adversarial relationship with politicians and government. Notwithstanding, the "president" himself called the news media a "partner" of his in his recent press banquet speech.

Remember that the Treasury Department's IRS, the nation's foremost totalitarian agency, where a person has to prove his innocence once accused, targeted and harassed those who espoused the founding principles of the nation. Moreover, the IRS lied to Congress in March 2012 denying that it was targeting TEA Party and Patriot groups. Add to this a concerted effort by this government to disarm Americans, partner with America's enemies The Muslim Brotherhood and al Qaeda in its foreign policy endeavors, and artificially supporting the marketplace with tax dollars. Add them all up and you have a totalitarian state progressing at a fast pace.

Those who think that its just OK to allow this country to fall and we will just worship our Lord anyway with whatever comes with it, ought to study what is going on with Christians in China, Iran, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. It is not merely having the IRS knocking at your door asking why your itemized deductions don't add up. We have an Isaiah 59:3 government: "For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies; your tongue has muttered perverseness."  We as Christians and as Americans should not be an Isaiah 59:4-14 people, "Non call for justice, nor any plead for truth...for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter." If we tolerate totalitarianism, we shall have it.

Hi Friends,
For my restless soul and heart,   I feel like saying... 'It's about time we all got some positive, encouraging news and tidings !!   Yes,  The Daily Jot really helps to boost my spirits and today is a special day in my humble opinion, with the sun out side so bright and healing !!   Of course it's always nice when a man has some nice, close friends that he can call and talk to, share his thoughts, ideas and feelings.    I am so thankful that the Lord has shown me the way and sent help after all my fervent prayers and supplications.   And it's so hard to just find a lady now days, that won't take all your money and then kick you in the teeth, and out the door.   Perhaps I am just too emotional for a MAN.... Ha!   But I thrive in a good monogamous relationship with a good woman that cares for me and treats me with kindness and respect.
I have chosen not to attend the two churches I had been going to, for a while, but now I feel the need of the congregation/ brotherhood/ fellowship, and I think I may go back to the last place I went to.   They actually treated me fair and with kindness.     All they can do is to shoot me.... lol, and I know they won't do that.   I feel better already !   Smile.  So now I got a plan, Sam.

I bought two stand up fans on pedestals at Walmart today,  because I know the Summer will bring some serious heat and I want to be ready and not sweat to death.   I was out in the sun again today, and tomorrow is supposed to be up to about 85 degrees F. on Friday,  so I am ready.    I also need to find a good chair to sit in the sun shine to get an even deep, rich tan.   It's just makes me look better and not so pasty.   And I just feel better.  Take my little radio, or take the bible and read.... [I also have some good, informative books] as it makes me calm, thankful,  and gentle hearted.

Let me tell you all a little secret,  friends.   I have learned in my life a number of important, wise, things in life,  and one being:   'Don't get TOO ATTACHED to something or someone,  because they can leave you, ignore you,  cheat on you,  desert you, forsake you, and crush your heart !'   As for material things,  they just come and go, and even the best laid plans and safety nets can fail you.   And then you have DEATH.   One of the worst things when you get older is:   finding yourself alone, lonely, on your own, all by yourself, and / or looking back on your life and finding out that it was selfish, empty, it went no where, perhaps you don't have that many friends, and then it's just YOU and GOD.    The biggest disaster in my humble opinion, is to be caught in your old age not even KNOWING THE LORD, or His purpose for you.    The startling truth of the matter is:   Death is nothing more than a door way leading to everlasting, eternal life.....   in one place or the other.   There are only TWO destinations !!  Heaven, or Hell !    And what an ultimate pity for those who never, ever MADE THE TIME to read and study God's Word.   Sorry,  those kind of prideful, 'full of themselves', oinks, will not have a leg to stand on when they go before the Judge and give an account of themselves.... for their whole wasted  life, why they didn't learn about the Salvation thru Christ's blood for all mankind, and how easy it is to gain that Salvation ! !    But it does take some humility, my friends.    God loves the humble heart, and that is where we all must start... with Humility.    We can never "earn our way into heaven."    Offering our so-called, "good deeds" to the Lord is like offering your dirty underwear to the king--- that you have not changed for a year ~!    And that is a fair analysis/  comparison.
I have spoken/ written/ posted many articles about Salvation and how we can obtain it,  cited many scriptures to support this Truth, so that we know for sure  we WILL go to heaven when we did,  or get Raptured,  and forever  be with the Lord.   I guess that many of my good readers might be bored stiff by now about that subject matter.   But all through out human history ---for the last 6000 years, God has always given fair warning before He decides to bring ruin on a nation, or the world.   But the majority of people come up with every LAME, STUPID, GOOFY excuse why they refuse to respect and follow the Lord, and make fun of the Bible!    I would truly fear to be in their shoes.
Clearly,  I have made so many goofy mistakes in my life, asked forgiveness, cried a river of tears, repented, back-slided, got back up and brushed   off the dirt and 'Soldiered On.'    I am not making any excuses for myself either,  by 'saying I am a sinner -- and that fact justifies my sinful actions' --- setting a poor example.   Yes, I guess I am a weak, frail, individual, and not that good of a Christian--- not always setting the proper example.   But I still love God and want to do His will.

When I was age 21,  I thought I was invincible, having cheated death in Vietnam for 2 tours, even as a helicopter machine gunner [M-60's], and other stuff.     Much better men than I were killed over there and in other wars, so I wondered why did God protect and save me ~!    God had some purpose, for sure.    I order new KJV Bibles [see:  biblefortoday.org  to get that very fine,  DEFINED KJV BIBLE !],  and bible tracts, that I use when I share the Gospel with strangers, etc.   I also hope that the material in my humble blog has found target.    But now I am age 67 and every day that I get out of bed I already know, will be full of physical pain and discomfort, from brutal heavy work all my life, plus many scary, near death accidents and mishaps, many fractured bones, arthritis, COPD, too much weight,  sleep apnea,  combat PTSD, etc.   Living alone is certainly not easy for me either.  But God has blessed me with enough income to pay all my bills and still invest some of it, too.  PTL.     30.5 years working at AMC/ Chrysler was not exactly a picnic in the grass,  but dangerous and toxic, yet many are jealous of my prized, coveted Chrysler pension and benefits!   Going back to college when I was age 38, learning more welding skills and other subjects, and than starting all over again in a super depressed economy back in 1989, working for slave wages all over WI, and IL, and then moving into the field of Finance and Investments for a while, than getting called back to Chrysler after my wife left me after 22 years of marriage.    She said it was because  I sold our house in the  nice suburbs of Kenosha, WI...... Duh !  How stupid and materialistic can a woman get ??    Just like "Lot's wife in the book of Genesis.....Ha!].   But we all make mistakes under pressure, and I figured we could rent for a while until I started making higher wages some where...... and actually Chrysler DID call me back after those hard 6 years on the street , in May of '95!   But she made her bed.... and life goes on.    I am just saying that most everyone has a sob story of hard luck times.    I may be sitting good now,  but who knows what tomorrow will bring ??   I feel that my best bet is on my relationship with Jesus, the Lord.     I have sleep apnea and some trouble breathing, COPD, so I may not even wake up in the morning!    that's why I always pray before I shut off the lights and lay down.   And then I leave everything in God's capable hands...  one way or another.    I hope that the Holy Spirit will lead me to many more people so I can share my knowledge with them, too.  PTL.

But all of us who are "Believers" are blessed,  because we know that our life on earth is just a temporary state, preparing us for life eternal in Heaven, with the Lord.   Fact:  If YOU don't know for sure that you are going to Heaven,  there is something radically wrong with you, or you have not studied the bible enough ! !

Warm Regards, and Bear Hugs,

Some of the pictures I post here are from a few years back,  but I turned grey prematurely,  I think mostly because of sleep deprivation, combat, and just heredity.

Hope and encouragement

Given the problems created by America's lack of good leadership over the past 10 years, the outlook for our country over the near term is not bright. We look forward to the fall elections as a glimmer of hope. But this single election is not going to solve all the challenges that have taken so long to develop. Leadership has turned away from common sense and it seems that the craziest, anti-God ideas are in full swing to be implemented. This, however, is no time for the weak-hearted or for America's Christians to disengage and throw in the towel. It seems we have been doing that since the 1960s, and it hasn't worked. Christ is the answer to this dark and dying world, and you are his vessel. Think about that.

You have a calling. And much bad doctrine has been taught about this. The Holy Scriptures say in Romans 8:28 "that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." It's not your purpose, but "HIS" purpose. Romans 11:29 says that "the gifts and calling of God are unchangeable." So when people are saying that you have to find your calling, it is really understanding that you are called "not according to our works, but according to his own purpose (2 Timothy 1:9)." Christ is our example. He is the way the truth and the life. He showed us how to engage according to his purpose. It takes courage to conduct Christ's purpose in this world, in this country today.

Psalm 31:24 says, "Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all you that hope in the LORD." As Christians, our hope is in the Lord. We are to be ever watching for his return. As Galatians 6:9 says, "And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not." And Jesus promises in Matthew 10:22, "And you shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endures to the end shall be saved." We, as Christians, are not to stand by and allow evil to advance just because we have read the end of the book and we win. We are to not be overcome with evil, but to overcome evil with good. The Lord says to be of good courage and that his gifts will never change--you are equipped.

2 Timothy 1:7 says, "For God has not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." We are reminded that it isn't easy in 2 Corinthians 4:8,9: "We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed..." Verse 6 tells us, "For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, has shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ." We should not fear man. Man cannot take our soul. So we need to take heart during these times. Have courage. Put on the full armor of God and speak boldly as we ought to speak. And having done all, stand.
