ACTION ALERT: Bill to Provide Emergency Relief to Christian Genocide Survivors in the Middle East

18

Long, long overdue.
We warned of the impending genocide of Christians in Syria and Iraq by Islamic armies in 2011. Our organization AFDI and our international partners called for this emergency measure in January of 2012 (read it here) — now millions are dead. President Obama brought in Muslim refugees from the Middle East — not the persecuted Christians or other religious minorities. But Obama is out, so Christians can be saved. Let’s save them.

Rep. Smith Re-Introduces Bill to Provide Emergency Relief to Christian Genocide Survivors in the Middle East

By Lauretta Brown | CNS | January 12, 2017 |
(CNSNews.com) – Reps. Chris Smith (R-N.J.) and Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) introduced a bill Tuesday aimed at providing “emergency relief to victims of genocide, crimes against humanity, and war crimes in Iraq and Syria.”
The Iraq and Syria Genocide Relief Accountability Act is an enhanced version of similar legislation Smith and Eshoo introduced last year.
Smith cited his December trip to Iraq in a statement announcing the bill’s introduction, saying, “just last month I saw in Iraq the lack of humanitarian aid for Christian genocide survivors. These genocide survivors told me the United States and global community had abandoned them. They are at-risk from freezing winter temperatures and require emergency help.”
“Because the U.S. Government and United Nations have so far failed to support this life-saving work of the Archdiocese of Erbil, these Christian genocide survivors continue to hang on the edge between life and death,” he added.

“Tens of thousands of Christian genocide survivors in Iraq and Syria need our help now and it is essential that emergency humanitarian aid for the survivors be provided,” Eshoo emphasized, urging colleagues to “quickly move this aid package and bring relief to those who continue to suffer.”
The bill would support organizations that serve genocide survivors in Iraq, aid entities conducting criminal investigation into perpetrators of the genocide and would create a “Priority Two” (“P-2”) designation of “special humanitarian concern to the United States” in refugee determinations for persecuted religious and ethnic groups in Iraq or Syria.
In the past year, Smith called the low number of Syrian Christian refugees admitted to the U.S. “unconscionable.” Christians only accounted for 0.8 percent of the refugees resettled in 2016; and for just 1.03 percent of the total number of Syrian refugees taken in since the

Cold Day,  Friends !
I slept good, but woke up with a very sore, painful back... old age...lol.    But when I finally got up and  on-line, this 'dry' article by my favorite guy brightened up my day !  But really,  it's just another "reinforcement" of what ALL bible-smart Christians know and understand.... IF they have the Holy Spirit !   But this is great 'red meat' for Christians !   And I hope you get the same 'jolt' of energy that I did, even if it's just a short article.
And another thing;   True Christians are not encumbered by silly old wives' tales about/ like,  "Friday the 13th !"  Although people like Hilly [sic] might well stay in bed today... lol.

One thing for sure,  the situation in the Middle East could change in a heart beat, since God is in complete control, and His promise to Abraham are still in motion, and forever.   And yes,  I have quoted Genesis 12: 3, and Titus 1: 2, many times on this humble blog,  but it bares repeating.   And when I get Raptured up, all the loneliness,  heart break, sorrow, disappoints, with myself and others, all the material things  $$$$  'LEFT BEHIND' won't matter one little bit !!   The book of Ezekiel says that 'people will be throwing their money into the streets,'  as they find out that it cannot SAVE them !    So,  we need to have the right prospective of our so-called, "Good Things," and we should use them to help further God's ordained work:  sharing the special, all important message of Salvation, [Matthew, Mark, Luke, John] --NOW, while it may still be found, of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Now, I am surely not pointing fingers [because I have failed so many times, also...], but just what have YOU- all done to share the Gospel in the last 6 months ??
You could say a little prayer while you are waiting in line somewhere, doing something, then smile, and just start up a small,  friendly conversation, like:   "Have you ever heard of the Rapture?"   Or, start carrying, Bible Tracts, Inc., in your wallet or purse, to wrap around a few dollar tip that you leave to the waitress, or the underpaid guy who helps to carry out your groceries at the store, etc.   Hey!  Those people don't make much money at all !!   And it stimulates their memory.  I come straight out by asking them in a lower voice:  "Are you a Christian ?"  Well, of course that puts them on the spot, as you look them in the eye [Like Donald Trump does...  instead of bowing to every one like Obama does.... lol].
Friends,  when I die or get whooshed away in the wind from my Lord and Master,  I really want to leave some of my memory behind, for the better,  for all the times that I gave sound advice and warning to so many people on earth !    Heck!  I have surely blundered and messed up tons of times, and regretted  it,  but I have also honestly tried hard to make amends, and correct what I have broken, and asked forgiveness.

Bible Tracts, Inc.

Bloomington, IL  61702-0188

Just write them a kind note and ask for some free Bible Tracts to read, and distribute.   And then, when you get them in the mail,  READ THEM, so you know what's IN THEM !   Then pray to the Father --- through the Son, for the Holy Spirit to be with you, to help you place some of those bible tracts to the "right people" that you think will read, enjoy, and also share them with others when they are done !   I think that is simple enough....  and I am NOT trying to insult your intelligence,  but now,  you can never, ever say that no body ever gave you instructions !   Smile.

And yes,  I have just recently took a long, hard look at dating women [albeit there just are NOT many Christian women so far North where I live... sorry, in the U.P.], with the idea of just having some kind, warm, companionship and someone to talk to and take out to dinner, lunch of breakfast...,  because I just have that gut feeling that something BIG is going to happen in the next few months.   So,  although I could certainly use and love the kind, sweet company of a fellow Believer,  it might distract me or drag me away from my Primary Mission on earth...  Praising the Lord, and sharing the Gospel.   And, unfortunately,  there are so many scammers, fakes, gold diggers, selfish, materialistic women out there just looking for an easy, lonely "Mark."   And I have been tricked so many times by selfish, money hungry women...  sorry.   And pretty soon those kind of 'humans' will get a big 'wake up call !'   Men,  too.   Be Warned !

Well,  friends,  I know that you have heard me say most of these tings before --- but that's the best I can do in this early, cold, morning, before I put on my warm socks and shoes !

Warm Regards,
Tom  Schuckman

Last week, I told you that on this week's program, I would continue with Part Two of my "Prophetic Year in Review: 2016."

However, part of our production team was laid low by one of those "winter ailments" that is sweeping the country. So we decided it would be prudent not to all get together in the studio to produce a show this week.

In its place, I want to present a program that you've not seen for a couple of years, but is incredibly important in view of the recent attacks on Israel -- and God's people -- by the Obama Administration. What the world does not understand, and many Christians don't, is that the Jews share a very special relationship with the Creator. With Him, they have a covenant that supersedes any political arrangements or efforts by men or the governments of men.

To ignore the provisions of that covenant is to risk the repercussions God Himself promises. That's what I believe the Obama Administration has done with its latest action -- or non-action -- at the United Nations.

So to give you background about why it is so critical for America to support and defend Israel, I want to present this week a program I simply call, "The Covenant."

To understand God's plan for the world, it is vital to understand what, at first, may seem like a dry subject - covenants. In the Bible, God makes two kinds of covenants with human beings - conditional and unconditional. A conditional covenant is predicated on God saying to man, "If you will." An unconditional covenant is predicated on God saying to man, "I will."

Conditional covenants are like the contracts we humans make among ourselves. "If you give me a certain amount of money, then I will give you a car." God makes conditional covenants, too. He made one with Israel through Moses. In Exodus 19, He said, "If you will indeed obey My voice and keep My covenant, then you shall be My own possession among all the peoples, for all the earth is Mine; and you shall be to Me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation."

Did they obey His voice and keep His covenant? No. God offered them a deal, but they didn't fulfill their part of the bargain. Does God then have to fulfill His part? No. A conditional covenant means, "If you do this, then I'll do that."

But God also made unconditional covenants. In an unconditional covenant, God simply says, "I will." Period. Once such a covenant goes into effect, there are no conditions that have to be fulfilled by human beings.

God's covenant with Abraham - what theologians call "The Abrahamic Covenant" - is an unconditional covenant. Through the years God reiterates and expands it, but He never changes the unconditional nature of it. Indeed, He cannot change it or He would be a liar and the Bible says in Titus 1:2 and elsewhere, "God... cannot lie."

To add other conditions later would be like moving the goal posts just as the football team is about to score a touchdown. It wouldn't be honest. God is not tricky. He's trustworthy. Once the covenant went into effect, nothing could change it. Later, God would reiterate the covenant and expand on it, but He never changed the nature of it, nor did He add conditions to it.

Those who claim He did, have a fundamental problem. They're saying that God lied.

Psalm 105 says, "He has remembered His covenant forever, The word which He commanded to a thousand generations, The covenant which He made with Abraham, And His oath to Isaac. And then He confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, To Israel as an everlasting covenant, Saying, 'To you will I give the land of Canaan As the portion of your inheritance.'"

This verse calls it a "covenant forever" and "an everlasting covenant." If it depended on frail human beings, the Word of God could not call it "everlasting" because somewhere along the line human beings fail, as Israel proved again and again.

The Abrahamic Covenant is one of the great dividing lines of scripture. Disbelieving it won't change God's Word, but it will change a person in profound ways. Among other things, he won't understand what's going on in the world.

Because this is an unconditional covenant, it cannot end. It remains in effect today and forever. That makes it fundamental to Bible prophecy. Whatever else happens, you can bet the farm that God will keep His covenant with Abraham.

So if you want to look into the future, or have a better understanding of the present, look at the things God promised to Abraham. He expressed them in a series of direct and implied "I will" statements. "I will make you a great nation. I will bless you. I will make your name great. I will make you a blessing. I will bless those who bless you. I will curse those who curse you. Through you, I will bless all the families of the earth."

Romans 11:1 succinctly asks and answers the most pertinent point. "Has God cast away His people? Certainly not!" That's just one of many New Testament passages refuting "replacement theology" and affirming that God's covenant with Abraham is still in effect.

Not only does this covenant help us understand what's happening in the Middle East right now, it is foundational to the central meaning of all the Bible's teaching - from the identity and purpose of Jesus, to "salvation by faith alone," to Christ's coming to set up a literal thousand year kingdom on earth, to Christ's secretly snatching up all believers to heaven before the great Tribulation begins.

Tune in this week as I discuss "The Covenant."
