THE ECONOMIC SITUATION My Thoughts On the Current Economy Situation Thank the Lord that the altar of finances has been torn down. In my perception, since the eighties, there has been a preoccupation with money like never before. Whereas, a hundred years ago, there was a preoccupation with the weather, and the crops because bad weather meant no crops, which translated in no food for the family, and for the livestock. There was a rippling effect on the culture. We find in Bible times that God allowed famine in the land to get the attention of the people. God knew how to get the attention of the people. Today, if the weather is bad we still have green houses to produce food, and our well being is not tied to agriculture. So God allows this financial famine that has hit our country and the world, so that the world might see there is no hope in this money, but their only hope is in the Lord. True repentance needs to happen in order to see God working in our land on our behalf. 2 Chronicles 7:14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. Malachi 3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts. So we as Americans better get back to reading the Book, living the Book, and loving the Lord. For us who are doing those three things, though it rains upon the just and the unjust, the just are guaranteed provisions from the Lord, during this time. So let’s just focus on the Lord and doing His will, and trusting Him. But the real meaning of that phrase means an END to all earth's greed, corruption, immoral homosexual activity, ABORTION/ MURDER, and wickedness! And it seems that the majority of people, especially in the USA don't want that! Go figure...... they all KNEW that Messiah Obama was Pro-abortion and Pro-Gay, but they thought they could get some "free hand outs/ more entitlements" thru him so they locked Jesus in the closet and voted for their Messiah Obama. They made a choice. Here is a common scenario for illustration: ' Hmmm, let's see now, [ a young high school girl thinks to her self] I think that I am going to go riding with teenage boys and drink a lot of booze....duh ' And after the young 'lady' gets pregnant or worse, dies of an overdose of drugs --people just can't figure it out. That's about the time they MIGHT turn to God for answers, when all the answers were written in His grand Book thousands of years ago. ****Remember, 'when all else fails-- read the directions.' **** I was raised in a non-Christian family that never once cracked open God's Word, so I didn't have the benefit of a good bible based childhood. I found the Lord about 7 years ago and finally figured out the meaty important parts of the Bible, PTL ! We would all wish that we could say that, "It's never too late to learn about God" -- but in fact there will come a day [and perhaps soon] when it WILL BE TOO LATE! And it's not about getting the truth before you die of old age, but every day people get shot, stabbed or run over by a car or truck, have a fatal heart attack, etc., and then where will they go for ETERNITY?? Good question. Just some food for thought as we muddle thru this economic rat race that is consuming so much of our time and 'News Media' TV babble. I have been told a few times that I am very direct, blunt and out spoken. I am not doing it to become a ' radio shock jock' but I would like to get some people's attention. Hard though to compete with all of Satan's glittery world and His entertainment.. but I have to try. The book of Ezekiel talks about 'blood guilt' for NOT sounding the alarm while guarding the city from enemies. The same principle is true for ALL Christians if they don't give their best at sharing the Gospel [Good News' about God's purposes and plans to mankind. Sharon and I had a very full day doing a little shopping and getting the oil changed on the truck before Winter, etc. Terrible Tom I can't wait until it snows hard up to my ears !!! Later, Tom
