Sharon is home again as of a half hour ago, and life is back to normal... PTL. But I am smart enough to know that we will still be playing "yo-yo", going back and forth to the hospital in the future, and she will most likely be back in the hospital within a month or so-- sorry to sound so negative -- but that's the 'nature of the beast' in Sharon's struggle in life, working with a bad 'pump', COPD, Sarcoidosis, Diabetes, and lung filled with fluid, ETC. But I love my wife, as she loves me, and she would do as much for me, and still does help me in many ways. She makes the best breaded pork chops East of the Mississippi ! That is one reason that I keep saying: HEAVEN IS MY HOME. It's so good to have a strong hope based on something and "SOMEBODY" with a proven track record, WHO has never lied and never will--God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ.
I love to listen [and my wife does too] to the local Milwaukee Christian radio station, that can also be acquired via the InterNet-- WVCY- 107.7 FM. And they have some EZ listening great Christian music at night until dawn that soothes the soul and gives peace of mind, and that makes Sharon fall to sleep more easily. But I like their show called: 'Un-Shackled' , from Chicago --Pacific Garden Mission, that relates true stories of how so many men and women changed from crime and sin-- to Salvation in Christ and under went huge obstacles of drug addiction, alcohol, crime, etc. and ignorance to embrace the life of TRUE Christianity. They made a person understand that most of us had much easier lives that pale in proportion compared to many others with giant challenges and more severe problems... so we can ALL over come our demons!
I like to pass on the good treasures that I have found thru the years. There were certainly giants [God fearing men] used by God to help me progress through hard problematic times of my life, and REAL Christians don't hoard the tools that helped them-- but we all share what we have. That is my endeavor using this humble blog.
You know, friends, there are MANY unbelievers that are "better" people than I am, with more gifts, brains, social graces, more kindness and qualities than I will ever have on earth---will NOT be going to Heaven! Many so-called "good" people will GO TO HELL! WHY? Because God's Holy Word- the Bible says that ALL must accept the Son, Jesus Christ as their personal LORD and SAVIOR! This is just not my human opinion-- it's the Gospel Truth of the Bible, and from Jesus own lips. If you need proof -- just contact me, or I will post exactly what the Bible says about this timely subject. So when my Mom chides me [and I love her dearly] and tries to pull me down [like a bucket of crabs -- the old cliche] pointing to my past mistakes and sins... I guess misery loves company ... I have to do what I know is right. She just can't realize that sincere confession to the Lord and accepting Him as our personal Lord and Savior is the only ticket to everlasting life in heaven/ Salvation-- and our sins are truly forgiven! But then, she refuses to read the Bible [as do 98% of all my extended relation] or listen to biblical reason, despite my teaching qualities/ credentials-- but I am just a humble servant of God. See Matthew 10, concerning the challenge and strife true Christians will have within their own families. And, yes, we do have to take a stand and make a choice to either stick with our mislead, unbelieving family/ relatives, and our OLD UN-SCRIPTURAL PAST false RELIGION-- and the Bible and God!! I stress the Bible so much because it is the ONLY reliable, proven SOURCE of Truth and Justice from God... and I personally choose the King James 1611 version, because it has not left anything out, lied about things, perverted the Word, IMHO. But I am NOT suggesting that we throw all the 'modern bibles away! Keep them to show others and COMPARE. See: biblefortoday.org
It's the BEST tool that I've found to help me understand the most accurate Bible in the world, in some 40 years, and I have a full library at home that's impressive and exhaustive, including Wycliffe Commentary, etc.
Christianity is NOT the Faith for wimps-- and God cannot stand someone sitting on the fence, being LUKE WARM!! People may say that I 'shopped around' and tried out many churches and mindsets-- but I had to be sure, because there is no 2nd chance when it comes to being Saved and missing the 'last jet' [Rapture] out of Satan's world of pain and destruction. Don't be Left Behind! BTW, the 'Left Behind' series, movies are strictly of fiction genre, but based on what the Tribulation [scripturaly] COULD be like. Just like the fine book, SAFELY HOME, by Randy Alcorn, which HAS TO BE FICTION, to protect the zealous Christian brothers underground in China, who risk life and limb if they are even caught with the Bible!! But the book surely is scriptural and accurate of what Heaven COULD/ SHOULD be like... And if it [the Left Behind series movies] scares you a little and wakes you up-- I feel that it's a good thing. Fear if the Lord, in a positive way, is a good thing. We FEAR to make God unhappy or disappointed as His servants, because we LOVE Him. But He loved us FIRST!
So if your Faith [or 'religion'] doesn't stand up to the true Christianity of the BIBLE-- better get with the program now. If there are no bible teaching churches in your neighborhood/ area-- you might gather with a few biblical Christians near by or check the Net for such persons in your locale and read/ study the Bible together once a week and have coffee and cake afterward, or a glass of water with a toothpick in it [that's called a "Pine Float"! Above all-- READ THE BOOK! One more important point -- if your wayward heart is not completely set/ prepared to accept Jesus and the Bible--PRAY, BEG God to GIVE YOU A NEW HEART, wisdom, understanding, LOVE to Him !! I did just that.
Glad to have Sharon home again!
Tom
PS: a letter from a friend:
Hi Tom, I am Staley The minister for 50 years & now my wife Jerrie's full time care giver. Oh I get to preach ever now & then. Jerrie was my secretary & a whiz on the computer.I am illiterate on one of these things. I just still use her web page. I have written two books & am trying to write a few more on it. I also have a prayer ministry on it.
I would be honored for you to use my statement in support of THE KING JAMES BIBLE on your Blog. I can't remember all the miss translations in the Revised Standard Version. The worst one was were Isiah prophesied that A virgin would have Jesus. (Isa. 7:14) The translators said there was no way he could have imagined that a virgin could have JESUS so they translated it young woman.
W.A. Cristwell said there was 27 miss translations and R.G. Lee exposed many of their mistakes also. The King James is a little harder to read but The Holy Spirit has to inspire the understanding or we can't understand scripture any way. Tell Sharon Jerrie & I will be in prayer for her & you in just a little while & you two remember us. One In Christ JESUS, Staley

I am a prayer partner with David Jeffers' group. I just got through reading your blog & found out Sharon is home. I know how good that feels even though returning is inevitable without a miracle. My wife had a right side stroke 15 years ago. Two pools of blood. Lots of paralyzes. We were having to go to the hospital twice a year at least but thank The LORD JESUS we have not had to go now for three years.
She had health problems for years before the stroke. She was in the hospital one year 9 times.
I love your blog & you are right on standing with the King James Version. It has stood the test of time. I preached from it & only it for 50 years. One of my college professors told us we were going to have to use The Revised Standard Version in his class. I told him I would be dropping out of his class then. He wanted to know why. I told him because of all the errors in translation it had in it.
He had me take the class the next day & point out the errors. I did & when I finished he said Mr. Langham can use The King James Bible but the rest of you have to use The Revised. Before the semester was over though he wished he had let me quite.
I'm taking to much of your time from your precious wife. Please be assured of mine & my wife Jerrie's prayers. She can't talk a full sentence but she can sure tell me what I need to do & she loves the Lord & our devotion & prayer time.
Prayerfully Yours,
Staley &Jerrie Langham
The Man in the Door
One of the readers, “H/T to Tom”, has sent us a link to this thought provoking video titled, “The Man in the Door“.
After watching this video, it made us realize the sacrifices that our troops have made in order to afford us the freedom that we recklessly abuse each and every day. The freedoms that we have chosen to give away for the false sense of security under the disgraceful guise of change; a change I want no part of.
May God help our nation through these dark days that lie ahead.
A story by Marine Michael Rierson to celebrate the one abiding image we all brought home from Vietnam…it came in low and hot, close to the trees…
The next time you see a man or woman in uniform, stand back and salute them with honor for the service the freely accepted to protect the freedoms you enjoy.
We here at TCW want to thank and salute our military forces for all they have done, both past and present.
Thank you and may God protect each and every one of you.

Tom, I'm glad Sharon is home. I will keep her as always in my prayers. Just wanted to tell you I love the radio show Unshackled! I listen to it on our Christian station every Sunday evening. I listen to the night shows, as there are so many good teaching shows at night here, and some good music too.
I am glad that she's home though. With what you said about heaven being our home- the song on the radio now, don't know if you know Carrie Underwood, but her latest- Temporary Home is on now. I get wistful every time I hear it, how true it is! God Bless you guys!
Carolyn
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

Great post, Gunner. I'm glad Sharon is back home so you two have some peace.
